I thought the lady who did my hair was very nice. She did her best. I showed a picture of what I wanted and it didn’t come out like that but that’s ok. My hair is hard to work with. First picture is how she styled it and then the second picture Is how I styled it and wanted it. For my type of hair I think she did well.I also appreciated not feeling like I had to talk the whole time. That was much appreciated 🙂

I went in for a cut and color with Heidi and had a wonderful experience! Everyone was super friendly and the salon was very clean. Heidi was great to talk with and did an excellent job on my hair! Not only that, she was SO gentle! I am one of the most tender headed people on the planet and Heidi was so careful. I typically leave the salon with a headache but I felt totally fine after my appointment with Heidi! I give the salon itself five stars, but I give Heidi 10 stars! I’ve been going to Salon 6 and Stephanie for over ten years. The last time we talked about what I wanted was my second visit. I trust her completely and always enjoy my visits. The staff is always friendly and professional. You can definitely tell there’s a family feel among everyone who works there.

This place is super cute and cozy. Reception staff is super nice, and prices are fair. A few months ago, i discovered im non-binary/gender fluid. I’ve had long hair down to my chest for most of my life, but since discovering my true gender identity, I’ve wanted to feel more masculine. I had a hairstyle picked out, and I was super nervous for her to see. She encouraged me and made me feel so comfortable. She didn’t pressure me to talk, but the conversation we did have was really good. My actual hair turned out AWESOME, I feel so much more like me and in my own skin, finally, all thanks for her. I 10/10 recommend this place and Grace. I’ll be back for sure.

I got the best, most meticulous haircut, highlight -low light color from Andrew this week. I have never had a stylist take so much time to make sure he got the cut and color just perfect. Andrew obviously takes great pride in his work and aims to please. I highly recommend him. I have already scheduled my next appointment and plan to stay with him going forward!

Heidi Oliver is amazing - she listened to my ideas and added her expertise and flair to make my new look come to life better than I imagined it. Ive been attending this salon for the past several months and I love it! Ive had two different stylists and they each have curated a look specifically for me. They take their time with you and the services are affordable compared to other places that I have been to. The staff is so nice and helpful! I recommend this salon to everyone. :)

Great, clear communication. They give excellent advice. My stylist also had a perfect balance between chatting and comfortable silence, which is excellent for an introvert like me. I look forward to visiting them again for a hair color treatment!

I came in for a cut and highlight (with toner).My hair is very thick and long. Rebecca and her assistant were professional and thorough. They conquered the challenge of taming my “mane”. I am very pleased with the results. Unfortunately I will not return, their prices far exceed my budget. It is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE.I have been getting my hair highlighted (and cut) for over 20 years, and have NEVER been charged this high of a price. Including my tip, their prices were more than double what I have ever paid. If it weren’t for the price, I would’ve given 5 stars.

I love Sophie. She’s always kind, professional, and makes my hair dreams come true. And great prices too. It’s hard to find a good package like that anymore. All the women here are great, highly recommend. I also enjoy the more environmentally friendly products they use.

My second time at Salon 6. Last October I had a haircut with Lexie and I absolutely loved it. I had an appointment for yesterday and my haircut was really nice, pretty much what I had asked for. 4 stars because I had specifically asked for an appointment with Lexie again on the phone but I had another hairdresser (I usually like looking up the hairdressers previous works before my appointment but couldn’t do that this time). But she did a great job so no complaints about the work.

I went to Salon 6 to have my hair cut and permed. I saw Sophie and she did a fantastic job listening to what I wanted and then putting my vision into action. The salon itself is very cute and clean and they take covid very seriously, which is a huge plus for me (masks are required even now that the county no longer requires them, sanitize everything). I plan to keep going to Salon 6 and Sophie for my hair needs in the future.

Grace was wonderful! She made sure my haircut was exactly how I wanted it. The shop was clean and everyone was friendly. It was the first time I wasnt pressured to purchase products. I will return!

My stylist was Grace and she was just delightful! Her personality is wonderful, she paid attention to my requests and fulfilled them beyond expectation! Will certainly be going back to her! The salon itself was cute, clean and a pleasant atmosphere!

She was very nice. It does look more even than it did before, but I wanted silver and came out with dirty blonde. She stayed longer and didnt charge me extra to try to fix it when the toner twice over did nothing. So she dyed it to try to make it look silver. I came in with bluish tinted hair from my last silver style from a different salon as a reference. They missed some spots to bleach but I guess she didnt think she needed to bleach those spots??? A little confused about that. Im completely unsatisfied. Trying to be as transparent as possible. 2 stars because she was really nice and tried.Edit to one star because I woke up and in the daylight, its uneven and I hate it.

I have been going to Salon 6 for about 8 years now and love it. Stephanie has built an excellent team and you can’t go wrong with anyone there.I’ve been able to get to know a lot of the different stylists over the years so it’s fun to go to a place where it’s like “Cheers”. 😎Love the feeling of a super fresh fade and hart part! 👌🏻 I wish I was cool enough to get some color in my hair because apparently they are pretty awesome with color.I would and have recommended Salon 6 to anyone!

Sam is the best! She can do curly and straight hair alike, has so many great ideas and is always checking in to make sure that you like what shes doing. This is probably one of the best cut and colors Ive ever gotten. She knew exactly what would look great and is such a sweetheart.

Went in for a cut and was blown away (forgive the pun) by how nice it was! Grace was my stylist and she did an awesome job with my haircut. I was really tired that day and wasnt very chatty, but didnt feel the pressure to chat from Grace. Very nice will be back again.

Ive been looking for a salon that has a great team. Paul cut my hair and I just love it! He was super sweet to me and let me talk is ear off. The front desk was so helpful when setting up my appointment and made feel very welcomed.

Heidi was really great and did a great job of listening to what it was that I wanted and explaining the process to me. She even gave me tips for styling my hair and what sorts of products would be best for it. Overall, a great salon and a great experience!!!

The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff and stylists were all very friendly. However I did not receive the hair cut I asked for. My stylist did trim my dead/split ends as requested, but I also asked for long layers, face framing, and for my hair to lay in a V-shape in the back (not straight across). My hair is slightly wavy naturally but was straightened for the end of the cut (which I said okay to as I did not want it to be curled). The cut looked fine when I left the salon with it straightened, but once I washed it and let it air dry (my normal routine), I was extremely unhappy with the cut. The face framing is mostly nonexistent and is uneven, my hair falls in a straight-across line in the back, and there are minimal layers. I dont even like how it looks to just wear down natural. At the end of my cut, I was not given an opportunity to look at my hair with an additional mirror to see the back; I was just promptly escorted to the front. I looked on the website for a way to email them to try to remedy this, but all I could find was the phone number, and at this point I will just be finding another place to get the cut that I asked for. I am disappointed as I wanted to love this salon and I enjoyed much of the experience, but I am so unhappy with my hair cut that its not worth it to return.

New to the Indy area I was looking for a fresh cut. I absolutely LOVED how well my hair was cut. I t was new to me with layers, but, I was SO happy when I left. Unfortunately, I`m bad with names and forgot the stylists name who I had but she was wonderful and I felt very comfortable in her chair. I`m looking forward to my next appointment as the salon is such a therapy session for me!

I see Heidi at Salon 6. I’ve gone to her with super icey blonde hair that I wanted to take a little darker. She did the most amazing balayage EVER that took me to the perfect level of blonde broken up with some darker pieces. Absolutely loved it! Today I went back and wanted to go way more blonde again. Heidi slayed it! I’m sooooo happy with my hair color and cut! 10/10 would highly recommend. She is a true artist and you can tell she loves what she does! Also the sweetest person ever. If you’re picky about you blonde tone, go see Heidi! She will make you fall in love with your hair again!

Amazing stylists, they really make you feel welcome here. Its not just about the hair (but everyone is very skilled at what they do!) but the whole experience from start to finish is lovely. Facilities are very tidy and have a great aesthetic! The head massages they do during the shampoo/conditioning are so relaxing. If Im able to, Ill always come here to get my hair cut.

I have had been there once and the stylist Andrew did a conditioning treatment of my hair. He took a long time doing it and struck me as a perfectionist. I was supposed to go again this week for a perm, but the appointment was cancelled because of weather. Hes coming in an extra day next week so that I dont have to wait.

I was quoted a price then when I went to pay it was four times more the price. Nothing was ever said to me during the appointment that anything would be additional. I did not receive any services that I am aware of that would cost four times more than I was quoted. I will not return. I feel you need to be honest and up front if something will cost the client more money. What if they dont have that much money in their account?

I recently moved to Indy area and found Salon 6 researching online. I have to say, Sam, did an amazing job on my hair. I received a clean haircut and eye brow waxing treatment. She was super nice and inviting. She also knows her stuff!!! I learned so much from her in the matter of an hour of how to better my hair and the issues I was dealing with. I would highly recommend and will be going back. :)

Holly did amazing getting me to the white/platinum color I wanted! I was really happy with how well she worked to keep my hair healthy. I’ve been to a lot of salons and I never had a hair stylist take the time to trim the split ends from the damaged hair at my neck!

I have been to Salon 6 twice and amazing experience both times! Most recently, I saw Stephanie. I basically went to her and said “help” because I needed relief from a bad experience at a different salon and she made my hair amazing!!! Will definitely be sticking with her from here on out.

As always, Rebecca does an excellent job with my short, fine hair! The biggest credit I can give to her is that not only does it look great shortly after the haircut, but it looks great as it grows out! She is knowledgable and takes great care to ensure your haircut is exactly what you want.

This was my first time at Salon 6 and Hollye masterfully helped fix my severely trashed hair. I absolutely love what she did to my hair! Made me feel so comfortable and welcome. Ive been a customer for 1+ years. My stylist Maddy, is always running on time and offer neck cleanups as walk-in service. I really enjoy this salon. Theyre tech savvy as far as appointments and reminders which help getting and keeping your appointment. If you looking for hair styling & cuts in Broad Ripple, Id highly recommend this Salon.

My girlfriend visited here to get a consultation for her hair, and she was treated with demeaning and judgmental behavior. Jessica, the stylist has no respect for the customers. Instead of helping and giving consultation Jessica pointed out all the issues with her hair and then laughed at her when she told her how she wants her hair done. After this Jessica cancelled the appointment. Cant say for the other stylists, but definitely not going to recommend to anyone if they treat their customers like this.

Ive beening seeing Paul for 13+ years and he is amazing. The Salon is taking extra precautions during the re-opening and they carry products that are not only excellent quality, but also environmentally conscious. Salon 6 is a hidden gem in Indianapolis!

First time ever going to salon 6. I was registered with Sam and she did a phenomenal job. She did such an amazing job shampooing and conditioning. Her scalp massage was AMAZING. It was very obvious that she cared and took pride in doing a good job. She took her time with me and made sure my hair was exactly the way I wanted it. She asked me how Id like my hair to be styled and didnt just assume or do the quickest option. She told me what products she was using in my hair and why she was using them. Loved her. Already planned by 3 month trim!

I recently moved to Indy after almost twenty years with my prior hairdresser. After my first appointment with Rebecca, I knew I would not have to look any further. She and the rest of the Salon 6 team gave me a first-class experience, and I have walked away happy every time I visit.

Really nice relaxing atmosphere. I felt completely comfortable. I typically have weird experiences getting haircuts because Im a woman that prefers a mens cut or a really androgynous hair style. At a lot of places it ends up being me convincing a stylist not to fem it up too much. Here it was a non-issue, and she had good advice about what would look good. I was really impressed. This review is not a reflection of my experience with Maddie. I’ve had great service with her and have been seeing her regularly for over a year now.This is my review for something that occurred after I checked out. I purchased an item along with my service and paid as I always do. An hour or two later I get a call that the girl at the front desk rang up the wrong item and still expected me to pay. I’ve had ten years of experience in customer service to know when an associate makes a mistake, it’s not the customer’s responsibility to make it right, it’s the associate. I paid the remaining amount that was missed but I feel the error falls on the associate. That was inappropriate to call and ask me to pay, especially to give my card number over the phone. I also feel that the iPad that they use to make purchases needs to have a screen where a customer can see the items they’re paying because on my end I trusted that everything was correct.I’ve had another recent experience where I have called and rescheduled with a girl at the front desk and she did not put in my re-schedule so I received an angry voicemail about being late to my appointment. I could tell over the phone that she was preoccupied talking to a customer at the front desk. The correct way to handle that situation was to politely tell the customer at the front desk that she would be with them in a moment and finish the communication with me but that is far from what really happened.I’ve liked Salon 6, and I come all the way from Fishers to get my hair done, but if I continue to have issues, especially with the front desk, there are plenty of places in Fishers I could go.

First time going to this salon and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed! Jessica did a great job on my cut and suggested a conditioning treatment that brought life back to my hair. The prices here are very fair and the products they use are top notch! Will definitely be returning. I think I found my new hair stylist!

Every time I come in to Salon 6 I have a great experience. Everyone I have interacted with is very friendly and helpful. All of the stylists seem to have a great rapport with one another and with their clients. Jordan has done a great job with all of my color changes and cut requests regardless of how much of a change it is. She’s great at interpreting what I’m wanting and making suggestions to tweak what I’m wanting to work better for me. Yes the prices are certainly higher than chain salon prices but you’re not only paying for great staff but for a great experience and great products.

This was my first visit and I was very pleased--friendly and helpful customer service, relaxed atmosphere, good music in background, and Paula is a wonderful stylist. She listened carefully to my preferences, then matched my color perfectly and styled my hair beautifully. An added bonus is her gentle head massage while shampooing! I also appreciate that their Eufora products are planet friendly and more natural than what many other salons use.

I was there with my daughter for her color appointment. All the stylists did a marvelous job. The men and women who came and went looked amazing, and were very happy. The shop is clean and welcoming. They offer complimentary drinks. Pricing is competitive, and they offer a large assortment of Eufora products including the wonderful smelling candles, INLOVE is my favorite, but they arent pushy about sales which I really appreciate.

I have gone to Salon 6 multiple times now and it has become my preferred place to get my hair cut after visiting different salons in Indy for the last 5 years or so. Rebecca does a great job, offers great styling advice, and holds great conversation (but only if you want to...she doesnt force the small talk, which is always nice). The salon itself is quaint but roomy, and they always offer you beverages when you get there. Its a great place to get your hair cut and youll always leave feeling positive and relaxed!

This was my second time going to Salon 6 and having an appointment with Lexi. She listened to what I wanted to have done, talked me through to hear my final decision on what I would like, and went to work making magic happen with an amazing result of my beautiful hair color! I am in love with this cut and color and will for sure be going back to see her in the future & telling others about how amazing she is! She didn’t hesitate to help with my extra add ons (conditioner massage & eyebrow waxing). The salon is very calming and peaceful and all of the women who work there, including the owner, Stephanie, are wonderful, helpful, kind and a joy to be around. Great personality, very easy to talk to and did an outstanding job on my cut and color after another salon butchered it 😂 She listened to what I wanted but still offered her professional opinion based on the level of maintenance I am willing to commit to which is much appreciated. The outcome based on my requests was pretty much spot on. I have been trying to find someone to do my color for awhile to no avail... Have finally found someone I can go back to. Was a bonus that shes just as good cutting hair as she is coloring. Love my hair now!

It’s been a challenge to find a stylist who is great at fashion color and great with short haircuts, but Rebecca excels at both! Additionally, the salon is really cute, and everyone who works there is so friendly. There’s even easy parking in their lot. I love this place.

I chose Salon 6 based on the rave reviews, and they did not disappoint. Rebecca T. did a great job understanding what I needed to look good now, but also how to proceed with where I would like to be. (Im growing out a pixie cut.) The color was exactly what Ive always wanted, and cant wait until I have longer hair to do more interesting things. Very professional, courteous, and attentive without being overbearing. Im very excited to have found a new stylist closer to my home without having to suffer multiple try-outs before finding someone - and someplace - I loved. Also, not sure if she sensed my personality or Rebeccas not a small-talker herself, but I liked not having to hold up a conversation with someone after a day at work. The whole appointment was very peaceful, relaxing, and exactly what I needed.

Loved my hair cut/ trim with Alayna! I have natural curly hair and she cut it perfectly to help maintain definition in my curls. She was also very helpful with tips and tricks to style and blow dry my curly hair. Rebecca is the perfect stylist for all of you introverts out there. I went in for a simple cut a few days ago and have been raving about the service ever since. From start to finish, the entire process was the most relaxing experience I have ever had! I loved the fact that she actually let the conditioner sit in my hair instead of just rinsing it out right away. In fact, while she let the conditioner soak into my hair, she gave me the single best head massage I have ever experienced. Even though my hair is crazy long (just a little past my waist) she was very gentle and thorough with every part of the process, from the washing, to the cutting to the drying. Most stylists I go to end up sending me home with still damp hair, but Rebecca made sure my hair was totally dry. And it looked amazing! She took the time to make sure everything was silky and smooth. And the best part? No awkward small talk!! She was friendly and sweet when we talked through what I wanted from the appointment, but if I wanted to sit quietly and enjoy the spa-level treatment for an hour, then she let me! Ive never met a stylist who let me be my introvert self. 10/10. Would recommend to absolutely everyone I meet and cant wait for my next appointment.

Am so happy to have found my new salon. Taylor is a miracle worker and was able to fix a bad haircut I had at another salon. I also LOVE the fact that they are a green business, and are ecologically responsible. Will definitely be a repeat client, and I highly recommend!

Im not that impressed so far. I scheduled a consultation with Kelsey and ensured there was adequate time in my day to be seen by her. I end up getting a call, just before the appointment, asking if Id be interested in a phone consultation, as if the request was being made out of convenience for me, as opposed to Kelseys convenience. Clearly, the request to do the consultation over the phone was made by Kelsey for her own convenience, not with me in mind. And as a result of agreeing to do the consultation over the phone, Im almost positive that Kelsey gave me inaccurate advice. She stated that my hair is likely too damaged to go any more blonde than it is, while under the presumption that another stylist had bleached my hair to get it as light as it is. If she had only seen me in person, shed realize (1) My hair isnt damaged nearly as much as it is dry from purple conditioner used months ago, and (2) My hair has never had bleach on it. Rather, we highlighted it to get it as light as it is. Its really disappointing that a supposed professional would try to unprofessionally make assessments about my hair, as she did. She hadnt even seen pictures of it, let alone what the hair looks like in person - all because she requested that we conduct a consultation over the phone, instead of meeting in person.

Amber was amazing. Took her time with me and my haircut was exactly what I was looking for. She recommended products but I didn’t feel pressured into buying anything.
