Payton is amazing! Hands down, the best salon experience ever.Thank you for taking the time to actually listen to what I wanted. My hair turned out gorgeous!!

I decided to give the salon a try based on all the good reviews and Its been about 9 days since my visit. My experience wasnt good, to say the least. When booking, I told the lady scheduling that Id like someone who could give me advice on styles and color. She said that was no problem and the girl she booked me with would be great. I took a few photos of styles I liked, not knowing what would work with my hair. I told the stylist that I do not like bangs and she asked me several times what I meant by that. It seems pretty clear to me though. We agreed on a cut, but the cut came out nothing like any of the pictures (I wasnt expecting to look like the model). We picked some really pretty colors for overall and highlights. All my highlights are on the top of my head. I looked like a clown. The stylist also left dye all over my face. Ive been coloring my hair since I was a teen. Ive done it completely on my own with cheap box dye. Ive gone to cheap salons. Ive gone to expensive salons. However, Ive never had that much dye left all over my face. I kept it together in the salon, but I went to my car and cried. I didnt want to go home for my husband to see the absolute mess I had just paid a lot of money to get done - but I couldnt stay out because I looked like a freak show. To say Im disappointed is an understatement.

I am always hesitant to try a new salon, but after a year and a half of medical issues that left me no time or energy to focus on my hair, I decided to give the salon a try. I was able to call and schedule an appointment for the same day with no problem. The salon is clean, and the ladies are friendly. My stylist listened to what I wanted, and would pause throughout the haircut to be sure I was happy with the direction it was going. She went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and satisfied with my hair. Needless to say, I love my new cut! Thank you DeWeese for making me feel beautiful again. I will definitely return!

I worked with Jess, (red and blonde) and she was able to do exactly what I wanted! I love my hair.I brought my girls in for a couple colored highlights and they worked with Mandy (curly pink and purple peekaboo highlights) and Amanda (straight blue and purple peekaboo highlights). Ive worked with multiple ladies at this place (Im more of a walk-in type of client, not good at planning ahead lol) and Ive never been disappointed! It is on the higher end price wise, but you get the quality you pay for. Would recommend Deweese to anyone. 👍👍

Warning!!!!! Their perm specialist Dawna isnt special at perms. I have sooo many straight strands and uneven curls. I paid $200 for a mess and the owner doesnt care. She never looked at the problem just kept telling me it was curly when I was in. Dawna called in the day she was suppose to fix this and now she cant get me in at all. Save your hair and go somewhere else like I now have to do to correct this mess. They dont care!!! They got paid!!! Note: My hair does take a perm, this is my 3rd. This mess is all Dawnas handiwork.Update: Ive been given a refund. I didnt want Dawna touching my hair again.

Went online to find someone to cut my daughters curly hair. Saw that this salon had a lot of good reviews mentioning curly hair cuts so we gave it a try. They got us in same day and we had Misty as our stylist. She did a wonderful job and was very patient and sweet with my daughter! Will come here again. Highly recommend

My stylist (Peyton) was very good at helping me find focus in my inspiration photos I brought in. She was professional but wonderfully honest about what would or would not work well for my hair, which is what I needed to learn. All through the visit she was intentional about letting me know what she was doing. And at the end, I LOVED the result! Worth every dollar spent. Great salon.

I like DeWeese for several reasons. First, my stylist, Jamie is very good. She is very personable and easy to talk with about your hair. Second, you don’t call the individual stylist and have to wait for them to call or text you. You call DeWeese Design Salon directly and make your appointment. Overall a great salon!

I was nervous about getting a perm here because I saw an online review saying they had a terrible experience but I decided to get one from here anyway. I AM SO GLAD I DID! I had a great experience, I love how my perm turned out, I had great conversation, and she worked with me to help refine my vision. I will definitely be going back!

Amanda is my hair dresser and is amazing! She always is on time, professional and is great with color. I’ve been going to her for years and my hair is the healthiest it’s ever been. Everyone in there is so kind and friendly!

The Atmosphere of this salon is clean, friendly & professional. I believe they use high quality products and I trust when they recommend something specific for my hair type. My stylist is Jess - she is a very talented and versatile at what she does. I am biracial and find managing my hair stressful and go to her for straightening perms, highlights and trims. Everything she has done for me has been perfect. My hair is the healthiest it’s ever been and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to use these type of chemicals to relax my hair. Also, for my personality type (& being on the spectrum) I prefer not to be asked a lot of questions and excessive small talk makes me uncomfortable - Jess is laid back and I never feel overwhelmed by all that’s going on around me. Overall, their perfectly executed services and my comfort there is priceless. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I had an appointment Monday at 12:30. I made the appointment over the phone and was very clear with the lady what I wanted done. I showed up on Monday and she looked at me and said “no I don’t have time for this today” so she was only able to do the highlighted portion of what I wanted done. I stated to my stylist, her name was Peyton, that I wanted a partial highlight obviously she ignored it. She gave me a full highlight and rushed through the whole thing. Was super rough with my hair the whole time. After I got done she charged me the full price even though I did not get what I wanted. I then went to a different salon to get the rest of what I wanted and my stylist asked me where I got my hair done I told her that I got it done at Deweese Hair salon in Plainfield and she said “never go back there your hair is so damaged. I have had so many clients complain about their service” come to find out the back of my hair looked awful. The highlights did not go up to my roots they were streaking and looked horrible. Maybe that was the reason she never showed me the back of my hair when she was done.

I saw Misty for myself and my son’s hair appointment. We both have curly hair and she is a DevaCurl trained stylist. She dry cut our hair and then styled mine. I am beyond happy with my results, for both myself and my son! I haven’t had this kind of bounce to my hair in over 7 years.Emma cut and styled my little girls hair and did a great job. She was kind and listened to my request of not taking too much length or making her have too much of a “big girl” hair cut.I appreciated all the staff here I encountered. I will definitely be coming back. And, I do not live near by, I from near Greenwood, so that should tell you I was happy.

Poor. The stylist was over booked and I had to ask two other stylists to check on the color level of my highlights. I brought a picture of what I wanted and asked if the style was possible with my fine hair. She blew dry my hair but didnt add any products to achieve the look I wanted. Basically a highlight cut and blow dry only...no styling at all. The top of my hair shows highlights but the bottom half is all blonde. I was happy with my visit last April and have not had my hair done by anyone since April at your salon. I dont know if the stylist was too busy or what the issue was but after blow drying and no styling my hair looked nothing like I showed her I wanted. In the end she tells me that with my fine hair it was never going to look like the picture I brought. Then why did she attempt the style at all. This design, cut and color was for my daughters wedding oct 17th. I guess Ill have to find a way to make it work because the weddings less than a month away, not to mention I spent $120 to not get what I wanted. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

I really enjoyed my experience at DeWeese Design Salon. The salon had a positive, upbeat vibe and the staff were all very friendly and professional. I wanted a change in cut and color and my stylist walked me through several options and answered my questions thoroughly. I am very pleased with the color from my first visit. It was a bit uncomfortable laying at the sink bowl for the 2nd part of the color process. Payton was wonderful to talk with and she did a wonderful job with my hair cut.

I’ve been to DeWeese Salon a few times and have always seen Jamie. She does an amazing job! I had an illness a few years back, which unfortunately resulted in my hair falling out almost completely. I ended up having to cut ALL of it off (pixie cut) which I thoroughly hated, bc I’ve never had hair shorter than my shoulders. So, when I explain to Jamie how important it is that I’m trying to regrow my hair and to only take what is absolutely necessary regarding a trim, she actually listens! She always remembers stories we discuss from previous visits and asks me how things are going with specific situations. I have never been disappointed with my highlighting/trim visits with Jamie, and highly recommend her as a stylist!

I visited the salon for the first time on Friday 4/2 and Jessica was great. I went in for a color correction that was done by another salon. Jessica put A LOT of time into my hair and was VERY thorough, making sure all of my hair was evenly tended to. Thank you Jess for everything, I will be back to visit :)

Peyton was absolutely wonderful! She made sure to walk me through every step and ask questions to achieve the result I was wanting. Peyton also talked me out of a hairstyle I was consider because it wouldn’t have been cohesive blending the back and the front.I think we cut so much hair off, we could’ve made me a puppy to take home. And she thinned my hair beautifully, while keeping in mind I get migraines because of how heavy my hair is.Thank you so much Peyton!!!

Salon is ALWAYS busy but they are the only full service salon that always seems to be able to get you in without booking a month in advance. Great service 👏

Definitely false advertisement, as far as “specializing in curly hair.” A friend of mine had a disgusting experience here as a first time client. She went in with high expectations for possible pre-trial hairstyles for her upcoming wedding and she was almost very much SHAMED for having the hair type that she has. Not to mention the very unprofessional stylist who had the privilege to handle my friend’s beautiful tight curls. From the beginning, this place gave off a weird first impression as they told my friend to sit down in the waiting area instead of initially asking who the appointment was for. Instead.. they tried taking back her companion with the straight blonde hair. The entire experience overall was humiliating and degrading, her hair wasn’t properly taken care of AT ALL throughout the entire appointment. The process was awkward, uncomfortable and rushed. Definitely do not waste your money coming here if your hair isn’t paper thin & already flat ironed.

Paid $300 and Im not satisfied at all. My hair still has bronze and orange color in it and its supposed to be platinum blonde with pink highlights. Tried to tell me that I got a good deal for $300 which I didnt I got ripped off.

I came to the salon to try out the devacurl, I had my doubts but Misty did a FANTASTIC job! The devacurl actually looks great and my hair is a lot less frizzy. (That is a miracle!). I loved the cut so much I just went back again today and Misty did another great cut! I highly recommend, especially if you have difficult curly hair!!!

This salon provided its services way beyond my expectationsI have been searching for a certain type of color that is h. ard to find someone that knows about it . Aubrey nailed it ! My fiancé went to this salon today to go get her hair previewed for our wedding. She has curly hair and has extreme anxiety about getting it done because a lot of salons are not confident in doing curly hair. Every salon we called who were not confident and they were upfront. This salon said they were confident. The stylist was rude to her and my sister with her. Complained about my fiancé’s curly hair immediately and refered to her hair as “this” as in “ I don’t know what to do with this “ and “I can’t make THIS an updo” and even was bold enough to say she should have straightened her hair before coming. She was told they could handle her hair as is and it would be forty dollars. They charged seventy and poorly styled her hair with a bad attitude.Moral of the story this is a salon to stay away from if you have naturally curly hair.

My stylist was Jamie Graves and to say I had an amazing experience is an understatement. When I went in I just knew I wanted to save my breaking hair. I was actually dreading cutting it. However the moment I sat in Jamie’s chair I felt an ease wash over me. It was apparent that she knew what she was doing and showed wonderful professionalism while maintaining a friendly attitude. I can say this is the first time I have walked away from a cut without any loss of length depression. I highly recommend and will be returning to this salon in the future.

Emma was absolutely wonderful today, I had the Balayage done on my hair and its so beautiful, she did an amazing job and I have a ton of hair, but she dealt with my crazy hair perfectly and made it beautiful! Thank you so much!!!

I went for a spiral perm for an important event this weekend and was told my hair would be fried because of the blonde in it..the problem is that blonde is my natural color. They wanted to do a deva cut and style. Deva Curl is one of the worst products out there. No thanks ! It wouldn’t be so bad if I had another day off to schedule an appointment to get my hair done. They literally wasted my entire day. Meanwhile, they permed an old lady’s hair that looked like it was about to fall out to begin with...obviously colored and very dry. The conclusion is, they we’re running way behind and simply didn’t want to do it. Sadly, I loved this place until today. I should have scheduled with Mandy and not whoever they gave me today. Very disappointed. I won’t be returning.

I am always nervous about getting my hair done since it’s curly and I’m particular about it, but I’m always so happy when I come here! No matter what stylist does my hair, it always comes out amazing. This time my color was done by Jess, and it is exactly what I had in mind and I love it so much (and my curls still look amazing). If you have curly hair I definitely recommend getting a dry cut and color here!!

Today I got my very first devacut with Misty and she was the absolute best! This was my first time getting my hair professionally cut in years and I am so in love with the outcome. Misty was so kind and patient and really took her time with every inch of my hair. She was very mindful of what I wanted and overall did an outstanding job. She was the absolute sweetest and so helpful and gave me so many tips.. I think I found my new favorite stylist!!!

I found this salon to have Deva Curl trained stylists and drive 30 minutes to come here. Worth it! They have flexible hours, always get me in quickly, and the whole staff is professional and nice.

The ladies here are friendly and take their time to get what you want. Mandy did a very good job on my hair cut, i had very very long hair and wasn’t sure how short I wanted to go but she helped me get the look i wanted by showing me pictures and how she explained it she knew what kind of look I was going for! I scheduled an appointment for a Deva Curl cut. I had recently begun the curly girl method and was curious. Misty was my stylist and she was amazing! She literally looked and inspected every single section of hair she cut to ensure it would lay and curl correctly. Then she explained to me the best way to care for it and gave me a new tip how to style it. I came home and tried it; I was in shock! It looks so good and so healthy! Absolutely fantastic work.

I had an appointment for special event makeup scheduled on 10/2/2020. The evening before the appointment, I was informed (via text message that was not allowed to be responded to) that my appointment had been moved forward twenty minutes. This put me behind. The artist immediately began to apply airbrush makeup with out consulting whether this was the style I wanted. The eyeliner was applied extremely poorly, and when I asked to have it corrected, was told not to judge until the look was completed. There was a huge mascara smudge left in my eyebrow, and I asked twice to have it fixed and it wasn’t corrected. The foundation stopped at my jawline and was not blended into the neck at all. Very unsatisfied overall with the service.

Awesome service, staff took really great care of me and my daughter. Will definitely recommend to others.
