Betsy was incredibly helpful from start to finish. She found a unit that was right for me and guided me through the steps to get it at a fair price. As a new resident, Betsy has already made me feel welcome and I’m grateful she was there to help.Also: After living here for a little bit now I can say the maintenance staff are top notch as well. New to the area? Want a good view where you live? This is by far the best place I’ve ever lived very reasonable prices the staff is great and it’s right off the lake as well. There’s a dog park and two pools I love the grill area. When I first moved here it just felt like I was on vacation. 10/10

From the minute I made my inquiry, I received an email and phone call from Betsy and then went down looked and leased and then met Dawn, Kim and Arnold best professional staff Ive come by at an apartment complex! Customer service is top-notch! Very friendly! Its nice to work with a staff that enjoys the company they work for and where they work! Kudos to Arnold who made sure my keys and new locks were in excellent working order !

My partner and I needed a place to move ASAP and, Kassandra was able to give us a tour, run our background info, let us sign our lease, and gave us our keys all in one day! She is very nice and super attentive. She was able to help us throughout the entire process such as helping us find renters insurance and electricity at a low cost. Our apartment is beautiful, everything is very clean and we are loving our HUGE patio. Our heater wasn’t working when we moved in. So far so good, Hidden Lake apartments is a great community! 😍

My boyfriend and I moved in a few days ago and our expectation have been met and exceeded. We love the large patio, fire place, accent wall, clean carpet, bug free home. So far we absolutely love your new home. Staff is very helpful and on top of every request.

Kassandra was very helpful in getting us our apartment. I appreciate her professionalism and her guidance through the application process. As a first time renter there were a lot of things we were unsure of but she had answers to all of our questions. These apartments are a hidden gem. Very nice view and clean.

This is a great place to rent your new home. The staff are friendly and understand if you have a problem.

My water pressure keeps getting lower and lower in my bathroom and laundry room. I had no hot water in my tub. Put in a maintenance request. Now I have very little water pressure in my tub. It would take at least a hour just to fill enough water for a decent bath and don’t even get me started on the shower pressure. Pablo said it was fixed and left. But after he left I now have a trickle of water in my tub and it is mostly hot water. So no bathing for me.

Changed the A/C filter quickly & was very clean. In and out in 10 minutes.

The maintenance staff is awesome! I told them about my dryer knob breaking, they came same day and looked at it. They let me know the next steps and I had a new dryer in less than a week. Much faster than anticipated. The staff called to update me and let me know the dryer was here. They installed it and cleaned up! You couldnt even tell they had been there. I was very happy and the are very professional.

The roach issue is becoming so bad ! All they do is come spray. I’m having to handle it myself. They are showing up all in my kitchen . Been here two years and I see a roach daily now !

Moving here to a place for work where I knew no one was very scary. I didnt know the area or the people. I looked at a few places near my work & this was the only place that gave full/great service during a wet day. Well maintained, always keep you informed with great amenities. Such nice people live here as well. They made my move not so scary.

Tough to be excited about a place that has had all of the beautiful amenities closed for the best part of the year. Maintenance seems to be lacking in keeping up as well. We had all but 1 outside light out of our floor for months. I know its a tough time right now so Im remaining optimistic that things will improve soon enough.

I love this place the attention is very good, I have no complaints, the view is beautiful, the gym is really good. I love everything, I love living in this place.

I recently needed help for a falll I had in inclement weather outdoors. A new resident came to my aid, and the staff all came out to where I had fallen. Everyone was so accomodating -- I even got my umbrella back cleaned up and returned!

Great place. Lovely, clean living grounds, very nice apartments. Maintenance issues are dealt with super fast with no hassles. The only downside is living on the second floor it is very easy to hear the people above us moving around. Other than that its a quiet and peaceful place to live. The leasing staff is also wonderful!

We could not love this place more! The location, views, and amenities are awesome - but we really are blown away by the staff! Everyone we’ve encountered in the leasing office have been very friendly and attentive, they really went above and beyond to help us find the perfect unit. We have NEVER had the service that the maintenance team provides, anywhere! They have gotten to every maintenance request we place immediately and really do a great job of keeping the grounds in top shape.

I have lived at Hidden Lake since October and I have a two bedroom here. The office staff is amazing and SUPER responsive! Customer service is everything to me! My patio is huge and overall its a very peaceful place to live. Cant wait for Covid to be over so I can enjoy the pool!

Ive been living here for going on 14 years now. For the most part things have been pleasant. I love the proximity to all my needs for shopping and recreation. The office help is mostly pleasant and maintenance staff is helpful when needed. My only complaints are pet owners that are not diligent in cleaning up after their pets and the inattention paid to residents that store unsightly and bulky items on their patios. This detracts from the beauty that should attract pleasant neighbors and keep our neighborhood safe and healthy. Also there seems to be an influx of the pesky Muscovy ducks that plagued the property in the past. A lot of funding and efforts were utilized in removing this problem; only to have it return. Hidden Lake Apartments remains a good place for me to call home and I will continue to do so as long as I am able!

They dont care about you after you move in. When you decide to move out because youre vehicle was broken into and they took over a month to respond, they will be completely short and dismissive. They even closed my online account before my 60days was up so now Im unable to log in and pay and make sure my automatic payment is cancelled. I would say just go with something cheaper and safer. South Houston has lots of options!

Incredible place to live. Moved from here a few months ago to Palomar and made a MAJOR mistake. Incredible manager and staff here. I no longer live here and wish i still did. 10 ⭐️’s!

I have been a resident for almost 6 months and I am so glad I moved here! The office staff are so friendly and helpful, going out of their way to assist. The maintenance crew are efficient and prompt and friendly as well. The grounds are always kept clean and free of litter and the lawn and shrubs kept trimmed and neat. I love living here!

Do not move here! Property is unable to provide hot water consistently. You literally do not know from one hour to another if you’re going to have hot water. It is a problem that’s been ongoing for months. You’re told it’s being fixed and then the next day it’s not working. The property management’s flippant attitude towards the chronic issue is unbelievable. I would highly recommend another property.

Right off the bat, our leasing agent was so helpful and happy to answer any questions we had (no matter how many time we asked) we felt like we’re already wanted here (which is such a nice feeling considering our last apartment). She’s great and communicating and following up. The apartment complex it’s self feels so relaxing and I bet it has something to do with the lake! Lol I feel like I’m on vacation every time I look out my window. I am so happy I found this place and I’m afraid I’m may never leave!

Hidden Lakes is a very nice area! We enjoy living here and the pool and lake are phenomenal. There isnt assigned parking so that can be an issue sometimes. Animals are allowed which is awesome, but some dog owners don’t clean up after their dog and it gets annoying when it’s by your apartment. I wish there was something more to do about being more strict on the dog owners. But other than that, living here is great and we haven’t had any issues otherwise so far.

We have enjoyed living here for the past 4 years. We have the best location in all the complex. An early morning sunrise with a cup of coffee is the perfect way to start the morning. The lake and the creek are ideal fishing spots.

Here we go again if its not the boiler maker braking down its the water being shut off on Wednesdays consistently at least twice a month. Over priced apartments been living here for 2 years and all residents get is sorry emergency repairs every time. Fix it the first time. Shame on this place for providing such in adequate facilities. Never have I lived in a place that consistently shuts water off or deprives residents winter or summer of hot water and in general water. Will not be remaining here after my lease is up. Ashame since I pay my rent early and on time every month.

Thoroughly enjoy living here:I’ve lived at Hidden Lake Apartments in Webster for a little over a year now, and even with unforeseen “acts of God” (Harvey) the complex as a whole has treated me very well. Any problem I have with my unit is fixed the day I submit the maintenance request, and the maintenance workers are extremely nice, and leave the apartments better than what they originally were. The staff is kind and considerate, and the amenities are really nice! The drivers here are a little iffy, but other than that, I feel safe and comfortable!

This place has been an absolute nightmare. My wife and I moved here in April 2019 bc of all the great reviews. It’s been 2 months and our AC has broke down 4 times. We just had a $220 electricity bill for a 800sq ft apartment. That can only happen if the AC is inadequate and running non stop. We keep it on 74. They have not replaced the unit and did not offer anything to help with our extremely high electricity bill. Also the roaches are bad and they have not come to spray. I received a notice to take my ice chest and tool cabinet off my porch and the neighbor right across from me has all sorts of things against the lease on his porch. I guess he must be on a different set of rules. Management is friendly no one has been rude to us it’s just the absolute worst experience I’ve had in an apartment complex and we’re only 2 months into the lease. We are considering having to file suit DO NOT MOVE HERE I will sublease to anyone considering this is the worst!

I lived at Hidden Lake from mid-Aug 2016 through late Feb 2018.My apartments look-and-feel was somewhat dated, but everything was clean and working properly. All equipment was quiet (washer, dryer, dishwasher), and I actually used the fire place this last winter. Neighbors are always hit-or-miss, but any complaints were taken seriously.During my 1.5 year stay there were some (maintenance) issues with the apartment, but the maintenance crew was generally ready to help the same day, or early next morning, and always very friendly.The apartments grounds are well-kept, and even though it is not gated, I never felt unsafe. The gym is small, but the equipment is clean and well-maintained. I never used the pool, but it looked clean when I would go to the gym.My apartment was spared during Harvey (I rented one close to the street), but I did have some rain damage. Everything was taken care of professionally, and overall I felt that management handled the situation well.The office team is very friendly, most of the employees will know you by name soon after moving in, and your issues/remarks are taken seriously.Also, I really liked the tool they used to keep track of your packages that were delivered at the front office. (you get an email notification when a package arrives)Finally, I really enjoyed living at Hidden Lake, and I only moved because of my daughters needs.

You will like the view and location but be careful dealing with manager especially if you are a woman. Nothing gets a accomplished plus you will be kicking out of lease just for get revenge.

Great staff, and maintenance, very safe place to live, OTHER THAN CARS SPEEDING IN THE PARKING LOT GOING WAY TO FAST. INCLUDING SPEEDING AT THE ENTRY AND EXIT. my lease well be up in July, thinking about getting a 2 bedroom, only thing there small 2 bedrooms in my opinion are over priced, considering these are notnew apts. OTHER THAN THAT I LOVE LIVING HER

Absolutely love the environment and community feel here! The office staff are excellent in every way! They create a welcoming feeling and a great experience every time I visit them. The pools, the gym with awesome view and the entire complex is a great place to come home to. Love it!!!

Mold everywhere. You pay for the view, not for a quality apartment. They are run down and would cost far less if they werent right by the water.Harvey really took a toll, most cars were ruined and we were on the 2nd floor and had water leaking in from a window and ceiling the whole time. Eventually the whole living room ceiling came down. The whole place is mold infested, it was even before the storm. Green all over the buildings. The buildings on stilts (where we lived) were constantly taking on water above the parking area underneath causing the ceiling to just collapse on cars. This was a problem since we moved in. Not Harvey related. After it would take months to fix, the ceiling would start taking on water and would collapse again. They just covered it in sheet rock over and over without fixing the water problem, so there was obvious black mold everywhere under there.Totally not worth the cost for a bird pond view surrounded with mold.

I love living here! The staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. My move from Tampa Florida to Houston was definitely made easier! I got this apartment sight unseen...just a recommendation from my then boss. I fell in love with my porch!!! Its huge! The only con the parking is a bit challenging. Large pickups shouldnt be in the smaller parking places. Otherwise I am going on year 3....

Ive only been here 2 months, but so far this place has been so peaceful. Beautiful landscape and lake view. Office staff are always pleasant and willing to assist. Maintenance repairs are handled quickly.Enjoying my new place!

DONT MOVE HERE.Mold, roaches and rude customer service.We had so much mold coming out of the corner of the bathtub. We asked maintenance to reseal the bath tub and soon after they sealed it there was green mold spores AGAIN. I used to bleach it but it would just come back.It was so bad that our fridge started to smell and even the sink and garbage disposal smelled of rot leading us to believe that there was mold in many different places.One time maintenance was painting the apartment that was on the other side of the wall and failed to notify us. We woke up to strong fumes that caused us to have headaches. We had to leave our apartment because the heavy ammonia was unbearable. It made us feel nauseous. We called maintenance and they told us they were on their way, we waited outside for them for 2 hours. When they finally arrived they complained that “we interrupted their dinner” for them to have to come out. They then told us to just open the windows, which they already were open and just warned us that they were painting.... AFTER IT WAS ALREADY DONE. They could have easily told us prior so that we could have made arrangements to not be inside the apartment that day.The women in the leasing office are rude. After Spencer left, their entire management went downhill.ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS FOR THESE PARTICULAR APARTMENTS ARE TYPED BY MANAGEMENT TO CON YOU INTO STAYING HERE.If I could I would give this place a -5/5 would not recommend to a friend.Please don’t move here.

I love this place. I love having a lake by where we live and all the features are great for us. We are happy with the secluded area, fishing, running, pools, etc. I would put a 5star but the management is extremely rude.....Little things that could have been said kindly were said with a total blown top. Did not feel treated like a person...

This is the first time I am leasing and apartment. I did a good choice for coming here. My husband and I love it! As soon as we enter the entrance it looks beautiful. The people are great and the staff as well!

I lived at hidden lake for almost three years, in a first floor one bedroom apartment and then a second floor two bedroom apartment.It’s a lovely, quiet community. Most residents seem to be young families or young professionals. The one time I had an issue with a rowdy neighbor, I reported it, and after a certain number of offenses, they were gone. Otherwise everyone just seems pretty quiet, lots of people always walking their dogs or chilling on their porches. I just wish there were sidewalks so we could enjoy taking a walk under all the pretty trees. There are trails along the lake at least.The maintenance staff is incredibly friendly, respectful, fast, and good at what they do. The office staff is what convinced me to rent here. They were so chatty and sweet and made me feel welcome in Houston.The leasing office and pool area were recently renovated and are really nice. The apartment buildings are old but largely well maintained. There was some concerning damage to the exterior structure like loose balcony railing and stairs that are slowly separating from the building. But the interior of the apartments is updated and well maintained. I never had an issue with smells or bugs. The design of the apartments is also nice—my two bedroom apartment had sooo many windows and really felt like home.The vast majority of homes and apartments in Clear Lake were built in the 1960s and 70s, which makes Hidden Lake relatively new (1980s I think). Still, because the buildings are older, my rooms were never at a consistent temperature. I would set my AC to 65 all day, and one side of the apartment would never go below 75 or 80. My electric bill for a two bedroom apartment was upwards of $250 during the peak of summer. Between the electric bill and the rising cost of rent in Houston, it was actually more cost effective to own a home, and that’s why I moved out. That said, Hidden Lake by far has the lowest rent in the area for the quality you get, especially when you consider its proximity to NASA, the lake, major roads, and shopping. Crime in the area is also very, very low.

Ok Ive been at Hidden Lakes for just over a year and I really love it. The staff has always been very kind,helpful,professional and ready to help whenever needed but off course most of all I love the lake. People at the administration are always nice and helpful, they always reply immediately when we need to repair something in the apartment. Thwy can be a little too strict about the rules, but that’s how it’s a great place to live. They place is beautifully maintained

My kids and I really enjoy living here at Hidden Lake apartments. For the most part it is a pretty quiet place to live. I have never had any issues with the office, if I have a maintenance request, they are usually out that same day. They always make you feel like you are a priority. The living space is great and nicely updated. We just renewed a lease and they offered to have someone come out and clean the carpet for us! They even applied new caulking around the tubs for us. Our patio is HUGE, I don’t think I can ever go back to having a tiny patio.

Spencer and Melissa have made us feel welcomed even from the first phone call! We had to do the lease electronically due to living in Dallas, and they were so patient with us. Since moving in, any minor issue we had has been fixed within the next day. Cant go wrong with the beautiful view either!

This place is infested with ants and spiders! There were thousands of tiny ants crawling around the baseboards, and the place was just recently sprayed! There were too many spiders to count, and with cob webs on the ceilings. Its absolutely horrid. Be prepared to spend $25 at home depot on sprays and traps. Window screens all have holes in them and management said they will not replace them because there is no funding, even though they had previously said that theyd fix them. Also beware, the sliding doors do not come with any screens at all, you will not be able to leave your sliding door open for any kind of fresh air. The idea of having those sliding doors is probably for you to open, walk out, and jump off to kill yourself for having to live in such horrid conditions. Also, theres dog poop all over the grass, theyre there for you to step on and drag into your dirty carpets. Along with the dog poops, there is trash and cigarette butts all over the walkways. I thank god i dont have to live here, but feel so bad for my friend who does.

Hidden Lake is a great place to live. It is conveniently located for access to just about any grocery store, gas station, or restaurant you love. The community is very friendly and the ducks are way cool!

I love living here. Just walk down the stairs and youre right on the water... Came with a brand new washer and dryer, all need appliances. A HUGE Porch...I can just open my patio doors that are in my room and its so bright. AND I have 2 parking spots.

All expectations are met and every time I need maintenance all needs are met within 1 business day! The property is absolutely breath taking and I am so happy to call this place home!! Love this place!

Nice location, and wonderful staff but....ants, Hornets, SPIDERS, a super high electricity bill due to improper insulation, mold, and people who dont pick up after their dogs (even though management installed doggie bag stations at multiple places throughout the complex) I couldnt stand living here for another day. We have literally been counting the days left on our lease.I CANNOT stress the ant and spider problem enough. We have had ants since the day we moved in. They come spray, the next day the ants are back. It got so bad that we had to quit buying food the last 3 months we lived there because the ants would completely infest the apartment, even though we sealed and contained the food.Another huge problem is the parking directly under the apartment. Every morning you had to fight through the cobwebs only to find your car completely covered in spiders. Seriously covered. Almost on a daily basis you would open your front door to a spiderweb and its inhabitants to greet you.I will however say everyone in the office has been wonderful and very helpful. I recommend them highly, and if they ran a newer apartment it would be highly successful.

Love living here. If your looking to get away from the city and feel nature you got it here. The location is greatly put between dowtown houston and Galveston beach 🌴. Great staff and awesome maintenance crew.

I have lived here since February and my new car was already broken into. I have had several issues that have been fixed by maintenance. I live my view and the nice people.

I miss HIDDEN LAKES so much. That was the only place that could ever make me smile and laugh. Although there not here with me any more I will never stop loving another those beautiful units for the rest of my life. I miss you HIDDEN LAKES. I hope and pray that I can live there again someday. I miss you and love you HIDDEN LAKES.

Apartment staff is very friendly. The lease is very easy to break (I believe its just a penalty of one months rent) and I got back my security deposit in full. Location is very close to Johnson Space Center but not right along a busy road. Theres lot of ducks around (with the accompanying duck poop), but my 2-year-old loved seeing the ducks and ducklings when we walked around!

I just moved in 3 weeks ago and so far so good. There were some problems with the lightbulbs and outlets but they got fixed within a day. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Surrounding is quiet, peaceful and clean. The paperwork was complicated at first but it’s totally worth it. Im so happy to call this apartment my home

Great staff, the only criticism I have is that during holidays and some weekends, I have NOT BEEN able to access the gym facility. Access to the pool and gym amenities is inconsistent. It may seem trivial and petty for mgt. However, this amenity is CRUCIAL to me, since Im unable to simply go jogging due to physical limitations. I do rely on the gyms elliptical machine.

For this being my 3 go around living in these apartment I love it very much never left on bad terms so I will always have a place to come back if needs be... 100% in my book

I had lived in hidden lakes apartments for over 2 years. Everything was GREAT! Until I got questioned for a pool pass which granted I am a law abiding citizen whom pays their rent 2 wks in advance, NEVER HAD AN ISSUE IF I EVER HAD LIVED HERE! FYI my husband had the pool pass on him w my CAR KEYS & unfortunately I had not had it on me. To have 2 of the staff people HARRASS me REPEATEDLY (maintenance crew guy & leasing agent BETSY) & THE GREAT KICKER IS I had 2 people whom lived here ask me if I live here. IT IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY TO AS A RESIDENT TO DETERMINE WHO IS A RESIDENT OR NOT OR EVEN GIVE MY LIVING SITUATION for security PURPOSES!!! When we were given the pool pass it was only ONE, hence when WE HAD SIGNED OUR LEASING AGREEMENT w Spencer (awesome leasing agent). I don’t know whom the other white guy is...who is another resident seen him coming down from the second floor YELL AT ME & yet again embarrass me. I had offered all of them my leasing agreement to SHOW PROOF OF MY RESIDENCY HERE which they had wanted no part of. Nonetheless, I am a HIGHLY disappointed on how Besty & ALL THE PARTICIPATING PARTIES presented THEMSELVES as unprofessional and had highly embarrassed me as a RESIDENT WHO LIVES HERE.

PROS: office staff are nice and helpful, maintenance is very quick with fixing things in a timely fashion 2nd year living HERE, I LOVE LIVING HERE .I love the lake. CONS: A LITTLE OVERPRICED FOR 2 BEDROOMS, OTHER THAN THAT, I LOVE IT HERE.

There have been little things here and there in 3 years, but all and all, at 34, these are my favorite apartments Ive ever lived in. Its awesome living on the water, and even if theyre not perfect here (who is), at least they usually try! I think most would be hard pressed to find a better combination for the price and area.

This apartment complex is the best place to live. The staff are super nice and take care of maintenence requests immediately .

Mold & bugs! After Harvey, informing them of the water seeping into our 2nd bedroom from the outer wall, soaking the carpet completely they just replaced the carpet. No inspection for mold or removing drywall!! In my kids room, THEY JUST CHANGED THE CARPET! They just patch repairs by barely legal, barely qualified workers that Im sure could care less... First entrance into apartment on the left of the road, first two bdrm in front of the first parking spots. Camt miss it. Ill leave out the number just for fun it started with a 2 We moved out a few month later and our bathroom walls & ceiling were covered in black mold even after spraying to try and clean. Bathtub was peeling paint bc they just painted it white! The maintenance men were very uncomfortable and creepy to be around, so I hated calling in the many repairs ( disposal, dishwasher, dryer, etc) Once we informed them we would not be renewing our lease for a 3rd year thats when they statyed harassing...By the 2nd week of January, in the middle of taking down Christmas lights I was wrriten up to remove them LOL also written up for having one of those as seen on tv bug nets on my patio door. Uh, what? Also, after 2 years of on time payments, being late after 1 week traveling and funeral with a family emergency & forgetting they sent an order to evict within 48hrs! Which is not only illegal to not send a payment reminder first, since we always paid on time and were good tenants, they didnt care... But sending an evict within 48hrs without a judgment is wrong in Texas! We paid the same day the 48hr(scare tactic) was put on the door, since that was essentially our reminder and the front office was so nice again! This place is a joke for the price you pay. You CAN GET BETTER! We ended up just moving with 3 months left of a lease and paying it while vacant, thats how bad it was... 2 monthly rents worth...oh lets not even talk about the amount of dog sh!t they dont moniter in ALL the grass. Moved out last year and have been happy ever since!!! Also theres been a few times they demanded entry without notice for random fire inspections! And, hey want to walk half a mile carrying groceries to your apartment? This is a good place for you! Theres never any parking!

Meh. Nice lake though. And yea ducks.

Was great at first then, well nasty neighbor, things not getting fixed appropriately, & having to call them back a second time, water damage inside our apartment! (Probably why Ive been staying sick) SPIDERS /BUGS are sooooo bad even inside UGHHHHHH!!!!! PRICES going up sky high, now no pool right at summer time! WOW.....Oh yeah, lets not forget about the carpet, it has nails or something coming up out of the old stuff, hurts my poor grandbabies or myself everytime we walk across it barefoot!!!!!!!We are paying way to much for what we have, its definitely not luxury apartment Homes! Js. ..

Not renewing my lease. I spend so much money on electricity that its disgusting. Ive had maintenance look at my apartment nearly a dozen times to figure out why my apartment constantly goes above 80° when Ive never set it below 75. This is not good for my, nor my animals, health. Maintenance is a joke. My windows are blocked. I have all the fans running at high and even have standing fans as well as having had these guys replace my AC unit. This building is poorly insulated and during the summer I was just one of many who got their units replaced.Im tired of dealing with poor quality staff.The only reason I give it any stars is because the lake view is wonderful, but these buildings are cheap and poorly maintained. Do not live here. I was lured in with an amazing deal on a 2 bedroom and Ive regretted it all summer.The lake is also a catch 22. Its beautiful, but when it rains hard (as it often does in Texas) it floods and then it smells like rancid stagnant swamp mud for weeks.The quality of the appliances is pitiful. My stove broke 3 months into living here and maintenance came out 4 times before finally realizing that it was a bad stove and replaced the whole thing. The washer and dryer are bottom of the barrel trash, so I swapped theirs out and put them in my storage unit instead of storing my $2k Samsung ones.

Great place to live. Close to nature and enjoy walks around the lake.

The office staff and community are very friendly and the environment is very nice.
