Jen Guido has been doing my hair/ makeup and more for YEARS. When I moved to a new state 5 years ago she continued to work with me and has helped me choose colors that are still fun yet may have to fade gracefully at times due to me living so far away. She impresses me every time I see her and I have done everything from letting her cut all my hair off to coloring it purple. I’ve gone from red to purple to blonde and more and she always amazes me. I always send my friends and family her way and they love her too. I will never stop going to Jen her service is too notch quality and she has amazing people skills on top of that which makes it so much fun to come sit in her chair. Legacy is great!As soon as you walk in they will make you feel quite welcome. They ask to take your coat and offer refreshments so you are comfortable while waiting for appointments to begin.I tend to have a lot of question and need to know how everything works. The staff is very patient and friendly, taking the time to explain well enough so I can understand and feel confident to repeat the processes at home to achieve the same great results!

Since I was going on vacation and my stylist cancelled on me last minute. Legacy salon spa was able to squeeze in an appt with Amareli for hair coloring and I came in wanting to go lighter, (I’m a dark brunette) which I have been slowly but surely going to session to go full on blonde. And let me tell you guys that she did NOT disappoint! The entire process from the moment I walked in, was extremely relaxing. I’ve never had a shampoo was station be so comfortable on my head and the head message was a plus!! I definitely found my go to hair salon & spa and trust me they will not disappoint you guys

I originally went here to dye my hair for the first time a bright, vibrant color. After a couple of days, the color in my hair looked like Id had it in for months without a touch up rather than days. I thought maybe it was my inexperience with color and went back. My first mistake because this time I went to get my hair color changed back to my dark brown. They convinced me to go back to my hair color but to add light brown highlights, mistake two. I went in on the 27th of Feb and on March 4th I had to go to a different salon to get my hair fixed because these light brown highlights had turned YELLOW GREEN. The new salon I went to informed me that while color fades slightly, it should NEVER look like this. I was disappointed that I had wasted so much money in less than a week! I didnt get my money back for the original service but was instead told that I could always book a future appointment and theyd love to have me again. Come back to a salon that messed up my hair and the response is wed love to see you again, sorry about that? Absolutely not.

Amareli has styled my daughters’ hair for years, and has always done a remarkable job. Recently she styled my hair too, and the excellent results took me by surprise. My first experience at legacy this evening and I have nothing but great things to say. My hair stylist was Jasmine and she will be the only one I go to from here on out. She was confident, fast and my hair turned out amazing. She took her time and made me feel comfortable. I also bought a purology conditioner she used on me while washing my hair and it felt amazing I had to buy it along with the bionic hair straightener. She gave me a cute bag for free to put the items in and I was sold, definitely coming back soon to see her for a touch up. Great asset to the salon.

All the girls are held to a high standard of training and continued education so trust me when I say your hair is going to look amazing when you leave! I started with Jen from the beginning about 6 years ago and I have never been happier! She knows exactly what she’s doing! I am not hair savvy at all and since going to her I can tell when a woman is seeing a hair stylist that is outdated and doesn’t use the newest trend techniques bc YOU CAN JUST TELL. The difference at legacy is superior!! They also have salon services like facials which are amazing.

After moving to the area, Ive had a difficult time finding a stylist that I love. I decided to give Legacy a try. While I really loved my hair cut and thought the stylist was talented and did a wonderful job, I felt extremely uncomfortable at the salon. The moment I walked in, I felt as though I was being set up to make purchases on products in the salon. While the stylist and assistant were kind and friendly, I felt pressured and uncomfortable at their attempts to sell products. It felt that the goal was more to sell product or get me to spend more money than for me to have a relaxing experience. After I sat down, the stylist began raving about my hair color asking if I colored my hair. When I declined, she and her assistant were very insistent about how I should start coloring my hair and even tried to convince me to spend $300 on hair coloring.When it came time for me to pay, the assistant insisted on walking me around the store to show me products and picked them up along the way sneakily bringing them over to the counter. This was after I had advised that I did not need to purchase any products that day. I felt trapped and didnt know how else to say no.I wont be back strictly for this experience. No one should walk into a hair salon feeling as though the staff are pressuring and harrassing you to buy products. I felt so uncomfortable and couldnt leave quick enough.

As a guy who is used to getting his hair cut at places like Sport Clips or even allowing my own father to cut my hair, I was a little hesitant to come to Legacy after having it recommended by a friend but I am so glad I took the chance. Not only did the entire staff make me feel welcome and comfortable as soon as I walked in the door, my stylist, Paige, showed me that coming into Legacy to get a haircut or other services is an amazing experience all the way through every single time. My hair always looks amazing and a smile is always on my face when I leave Legacy and Im never going to another place for a haircut ever again.

Claudia was fantastic, but I wont be returning. For Claudia, the salon, and the customer service, I would have given 5 stars, however my partial was overpriced by about $100 and I was constantly being sold products. It was my fault for not asking service costs ahead of time, I was just happy they could fit me in a month before my usual salon could. But $202 for partial highlights is astronomical and frankly just absurd. I am very happy with the work Claudia did on my hair, but I am much much happier with the same outcome for $100 less. I stopped going to my salon in Deerfield because they charged so much and I will do the same here. I will stick to Touche in Libertyville. Great talent, great prices, and they arent so salesy.

All the staff is very welcoming, educated, and accommodating.Paige took my dark natural and partially processed hair to now blonde which is a wonderful canvas for color. Enter at your own risk! I had been with the stylist Paige since she had been on the floor. She comes off incredibly caring, fun and knowledgeable. I referred many people to Legacy. I had to explain years ago that I could not afford $300+ every 4-6weeks. I was constantly pressured nonstop to buy more products. Over and over saying that I needed additional treatments. I believed in her so much that I would follow what she would say against everyone telling me otherwise. She has been over booking herself for so long it doesnt feel like you have an appointment with her but more so with the students she trains. The last time was the final straw for me. I was not only left in the hair bowl for 45 mins with toner which fried my hair completely. I asked for extensions which Ive had so many times. Well this time the student put products in my hair first and they kept falling out. After 3 weeks of going back in to put them back in I was so fed up. Finally my friend that I referred she talked to her so bad about me plus over charged her so much $1,000 worth. I asked for my money back and she yelled at me. Saying shes the manager and kept blaming me. My hair has now been up for months because of this experience, several inches of my hair must be cut now but finally I found a new place. I am still completely heartbroken. She not only abused my trust but took advantage of me. If this is how you treat a guest whose been seeing you for so long whats the point of returning. No apologies just completely rude.
