He listened to exactly what I wanted,short,natural color. Shape is amazing! Even massaged my hands. I’m only in town for a bit so I was nervous about going somewhere I’ve never been. But this was so worth it! I read many reviews on places before deciding. These are the best nails I’ve ever had.

I love Cam, Kenny and Tommy. I have been going to them for almost 10 years off and on between all of our Navy moves to Groton . They always do a great job and are so friendly. I am going miss them when we move away.

I was vacationing in Connecticut and had my nails done just down the street at Elegant Nails. As I was coming in an hour before they closed, she was very gracious and friendly. My husband travels for work and I’ve had my nails done all over the country consistently since 2012. The top photo is a picture two weeks after she did them and the bottom is them today, over a month later. I just trimmed off the tips two weeks ago and let them continue to grow. I’m not sure who that woman was, but she did an amazing job!

You get what you pay for, and then some. I love this place. Take care of them and theyll take care of you! I always get compliments on my nails.

My nails look horrible for four days later ! You pay out the ying yang for the nails atleast the shape, .color and longevity should come in the total ! Not weak nails on the brink of breaking. Needing a fill already! Wont be coming back thats how horribly done my nails are.

Great nail salon. Always does a great job. My nails never pop off in between appointments. The gel does not chip ( even after two weeks) . The staff is friendly and the place is very clean.

I go here all the time for gel nails. The staff are wonderful. All you have to do is ask. They love to joke around but are super personable. Not to mention their designs are amazing. Bring in a picture and they can do anything. Love love love them!I see a few unfavorable reviews on here but it seems from the sounds of it that people arent speaking up enough during their visits. If you dont like something, dont be afraid to voice it loud and clear.Someone mentioned in a review that they asked for powder acrylic nails, but didnt realize they received gel until they left ... anyone who asks for powder acrylic and doesnt see that the aesthetician is using gel, obviously doesnt know the difference.Theres a few other reviews on here that sound a bit bogus as well, but just remember, everyone can have off or bad days, even a nail tech. Overall, if you are looking for friendly and helpful staff, if you want detail work - come see Cammie specifically, if you want to try fake nails for the first time, come try elegant nails. They really are good ppl and Ive NEVER seen drama between customers and staff.Also, I always post pictures of my nails.

First time I have ever gotten fake nails done. The reviews is what made me book my appointment here. All positive. I have to say for myself I am highly impressed.Elegant Nails has incredible staff who are funny and full of conversation (I’ve read reviews for other places who complain of awkwardness between them and technician) the business is clean and decorated nicely.I highly recommend

Paid almost $70 not including tip for a fullgel set. My nails were uneven and chipped a few hours after i left. I even asked to add a few more coats of polish because i could tell they were completely covered. One of my nails has a dip in it. Was trying out different nail salons but definitely will not be going back.

Great basic nail salon. Came for a pedicure, got the mid-grade “spa pedicure” and was not disappointed. Clean, used fresh files and liners in pedicure tubs. Large nail color selection. Overall, probably my new go-to nail salon in the area.

I love this nail place. Staff is very friendly and the nails I get here are a good price and a good quality. Its hard to find people who know what theyre doing when it comes to UV gel but this salon does a good job.

My nail tech was amazing, and the entire staff was front and welcoming. My gel manicure have chipped, scratched or dulled after an entire month! Yes, Im due for a fill, so you can be SURE Ill be rebooking!!(Wouldve given 5 stars, but my daughter received the same gel manicure, from a different tech, at the same visit, and they fell off less than a week later.)

I have always had a great experience at Elegant Nails. My nails always ce out unique. Cammie is the best.

The guy was really dirty, he didn’t wash his hands or wear gloves or a mask or put paper towels downs. There was acrylic stuck to the counter and there were black dots and clumps in the powder.He was really rude as well, he just talked to the other lady in a different language and kind of ignored me. Then he was just giving me dirty looks and got an attitude when I asked him to come over and help me find a color.I only needed one nail done cuz it broke and I asked for help finding a color to match my other one and they were so unhelpful they just pointed to the wall of colors, didn’t even give me the samples.I wanted coffin shape and my nail is square and there’s a bump on the end. The quality is terrible and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!!!

Absolutely TERRIBLE. I was getting acrylics removed and she CUT THEM without softening. Most painful experience ever getting acrylics removed. 12 hours later I am still in pain. 45 mins of removing acrylic. I understand and know it takes a while but absolutely TERRIBLE. Will NOT recommend to anyone. Filed my skin right off my finger. Painting is Done decently. My grandmother who paid called and all they said was sorry. Would not give us anything in return. And told her to come back to talk to the lady. Absolutely not. Do not go here. I didnt want the women to touch me any longer because I shot back in pain 6/10 times. From the clipping and no softening. She obviously had no idea what she was doing. Terrible place and certainly not elegant. I will not be going back.

Im not sure the guys name that did my nails but i asked for powder and so many things were just bad for me.1. The guy doing my nails was trying to do everything so fast saying ? everyone hates doing white powder cause its takes long like ok? Sorry that I want a certain color. Anyways, he began working on my nails and i told him to be careful with one of them and the nail kept bleeding and he kinda ignored it. Im not one to speak up just knew I wouldnt be back I didnt realize that 2 more nails were bleeding until i left and he put uv gel on my nails and they dont use that for powder that takes away purposeSeemed to be drama. There with customers and employees too. I dont know it was just horrible. My nails look pretty bad and unneven and spot of color are missing. Im very disappointed in the service i received today. I paid 56 bucks for nothing good.

The staff were really nice and friendly. And for not having an appointment, they were able to fit us in. (Though now well book n advance) For a full set it took about an hour to complete, but the quality is really good, and the technician didnt hurt my nails or fingers at all! Which I find really important. No broken skin. Will be going back again.

The family that owns and runs this place treats everybody like old friends, just genuinely nice people. Ive been going here to see Kim for eyebrows for about 6 years now and she always does an excellent job (quick and perfect)! Mani pedis are great too! Prices are reasonable, tip the staff well.

Do not go! I went there to get a fill... But all they did was change the color. It was so expensive!! $65 for a color change! Thats outrageous! And it has not even been a week and my nails are chipping like crazy for no reason. Half of the polish on my left thumb nail is gone. Never going again!

At the google user who gave a bad review for this establishment, you might want to know what you are ordering yourself before rating an establishment poorly for giving you just what you asked for. You asked for UV Gel, not Pink/Whites. Those are two completely different procedures.Now on to the staff at Elegant Nails:They are like family. They are kind and are genuine when they ask you how you are doing. Cammi, Kristen, Kenny, and Sabrina are nice, generous, kind, and patient (for the most part, dont get all abusive).If you want a relationship with your nail techs, this is the place to go.

My husband bought gift certificates for my young daughter and I to have our nails done together. We were not able to use it right away and decided to save it for our annual mother/daughter back to school shopping day. When I went to pay for the services, the owners would not take it and said it was expired. I knew that CT state law prohibits the expiration of gift certificates and brought the law up on my phone to show them. They said they know of the law, but do not follow it because other salons dont and because it messes up their tax preparation. They took my gift certificate for the cost of the manicure, but would not give me the balance and told me they will not honor my second gift certificate. My daughters first manicure was a disaster and we left with her crying and embarrassed. We are out almost $60. Buyer beware.

Very friendly, first time there. If we lived here wed go more often. Customers came in and knew the entire staff, talked about each others kids. The staff at the hotel were staying at all go there too. There should be no negative reviews about the service. We walked in, and were helped almost right away. Highly recommended.

Now, I have never made a review for a place before but had to respond to the comment made by Hayley Jean Procotor.. i sat next to her during part of the time she was getting her nails off. If you have gotten your nails taken off as many times as i have before you know that there are different ways that nail salons take peoples nails off. One of which is soaking and one of which is trying to cut down (if you prefer a certain way, just ask!). Soaking takes FOREVER and honestly if you know you are going to be a cry baby about it then just ask for them to soak your nails (which she did end up doing after getting nails clipped down). The reason why her nails hurt SO bad getting clipped off is because whoever she went to prior to get her nails done (she did not get them done at elegant nails) made her nails incredibly thick and unnatural looking.- My husband is stationed in Groton and I have tried numerous nail places before this one and nothing compares. I have never had an issue coming to Elegant nails. The family that works there is very sweet and loves to make conversation. The prices are a little higher for gel, but you get what you pay for. The store is in pretty good shape and they seem to be clean and sanitary (warm towels to dry my hands are the best!). Kenny usually does my nails and he is gentle and gives a perfect file! Cammi (I think that is her name) has great painting skills. Im also usually in and out pretty quickly, but if you are planning to get your nails done it is always best to have an appointment.
