Hands down, the best place to get a consistent quality manicure in DC. I no longer live nearby and, after trying MANY other places with mediocre results, will willingly make the 25+ minute drive to the nailsaloon for a mani and/or pedi.Yes, the prices are high relative to a lower-key establishment. Ive found that the quality of the service (a similar sugar scrub/oil service tends to cost more at other locations), the cleanliness of the location, and the ability to go in knowing youll always leave with gorgeous nails will justify the price point. Thanks, nailsaloon!

This is a “toxic free” type nail salon, so they don’t offer gel manicures. The nail polishes are displayed in 3 baskets on the front counter. The receptionist was friendly and the reason I stayed. They were able to remove my old gel manicure ($10) and I chose the speedy manicure $22. The receptionist offered me something to drink. My manicurist on the other hand, wasn’t friendly at all, and she didn’t like my feedback during the session (when a bubble appeared on one of the nails) but in the end it turned out okay. It’s hard to wait for a regular nail session to dry once you’ve done gel polish, but that’s personal preference. My manicurist tended to a gentleman after me, and didn’t come back to check if mine were dry after about 20 minutes, so I asked the receptionist if I could leave. Again, very nice service from the receptionist. The ambiance is pretty, although the chairs are not comfortable. They do sterilize the nail equipment and package the utensils individually before attending to each customer. I like that they wear scrubs as a uniform, makes the place look nicer. They took me in without an appointment, which I appreciated.

I love the Nail Saloon. It is always a very relaxing experience and the staff has always been professional. I am however very disappointed that I spent so much money on a manicure that chipped less than 24 hours later. I got my nails done Friday and by the next morning most of them had already chipped. I wish they offered a policy that guaranteed the manicure would last a few days or that allowed for touch ups free of cost.

I love this salon! The atmosphere is so clean, calm, modern, and relaxing. The front desk ladies are also so nice and accommodating! For example, if you book a pedicure but once youre there realize you also need a mani they will fit you in, no problem. Also, if youre booking an appointment for you and a friend on their website and once you have one booked realize the other spot has already been taken, call them and they will do their best to find a place for you, and let you sit by your friend as well. Such great customer service! They also have a variety of beverages to pick from while youre treating yourself and very comfy chairs (not the tacky massaging ones that are typical at most salons). The technicians also do a great job and every one I have had has been very meticulous, which I appreciate. They also never gyp you on the massages, they take their time and it feels amazing! The only thing worth noting that is somewhat on the negative is that they do not offer gel manicures. However, I suppose that a regular polish is healthier anyway. Needless to say, I def recommend this nail salon!

Just found my favorite Nail Salon in Alexandria, VA. I was only here because I was visiting a friend in Town so a manicure was in order and would never be a regular customer here. Neither care about Andrea V. comment, nor solicitation. If I could, I would rate Nail Saloon a 2.5 stars just for the good location not to mention it is overpriced for the quality. I picked a nice sheer polish for the evening and thought my hands looked nice, but only discovered in the morning how terrible my hands were. Now, I have to head back to my Salon for a new manicure.

Yes, its more than double the price for a manicure and pedicure compared to my usual spot at 17th and R NW, but during Covid, Im willing to pay for cleanliness, staff wearing masks and face shields, and very few customers around. I got a lovely manicure today at Nailsaloon. There were lots of extra little touches--they offered to clean my engagement ring, offered a nice beverage, and asked whether Id like to keep the file they used during my manicure. Love this place. They have a pretty, clean space, professional staff, and free beverages (coffee, water, tea, wine, mimosa) [not currently served, for COVID safety]. I’m very confused. I am a DC transplant, was just trying to get my summer gel pedicure on. Not only were they too busy to take walk-ins, but they also did not offer gel polish. I was also curious as to why there was a gang of women at the counter digging through polish in bowls as opposed to the polish being neatly displayed on a wall. The stars are for the receptionist who was very kind. Save your time.

Was going to a concert and just came in off of a long flight. The receptionist was nice because she took me as a walk in. I was asked if I wanted tea, wine or water and I requested green tea. The nail tech was really nice however after about 20 min into my nails (by the time she was finishing up with the salt scrub), I still hadn’t been served the tea so the nail tech had to get up and remind her; mind you it wasn’t busy at ALL!So she brings my tea as the tech is about to begin the polish. I didn’t finish it, sat for about 10 min and went to the front to pay. The receptionist asked how my pedicure was and I told her it would had been better had I had some honey with my tea. She THEN sarcastically asks if I’d like a pack of honey! To which I responded “Lol No, I’m finished”!There is an issue with my card because I had been out of town and they blocked the payment which was fixed with a short verification.I settled up and looked at my toes. At first glance, they looked ok however when I got home, my feet DEFINITELY don’t look like I just had a $48 pedicure.I wish I can show pictures here but I’ll also be putting a review on Yelp and other platforms where I can show pictures. The polish is choppy and is running, my cuticles look as if they were ripped off at close glance not to mention they also charged me twice!I’ve had MUCH better pedicures from $20 shops! I called myself “treating” my and what I treated myself to was a raggedy pedicure done by a really nice tech and a inattentive receptionist. The two stars are because my tech was nice and I got to drink a sip of my tea.

Very clean and professional service, and I love the idea of using less toxic products, but as a first- time customer I felt sort of rushed and confused. I visited on a very crowded day, maybe on a less busy day I would have enjoyed it more. I found the pedicure set-up uncomfortable, I had to slouch down in the seat on order for my feet to be in the right place. Getting in and out of the chair was very difficult, I almost fell trying to stand up without being able to put my feet in front of me. The pedicure itself was vey good, and the technician took the time to fully remove calluses.

Pretty disappointing. Nailsaloon charged me the full $10 for gel removal, to scrape off 4 fingers worth of gel. This is a ridiculous charge for 10 fingers, let alone 4. I also asked to have two different nail polish colors, picture every other blue, light blue, blue, they processed to charge me $10 for nail art.Manicure: $18Gel removal: $10Nail art: $10=$42 - w. taxesThis is so outrageously overpriced and my manicure was chipping the very next day. I will not be a returning customer and hope Nailsaloon considers refunding me about $16 - for the 6 fingers that did not have gel and the ludicrous nail art charge.

I had a good experience at nailsaloon. I got the saloon pedi and speedy mani. The only reason Id knock this down from 5 stars to 4 would be that I think the branding of the salon over sells the luxuriousness of the experience. It wasnt any more relaxing, welcoming, or pampering than any nail salon Ive been to before, and it was definitely more expensive. The 5-free focus is certainly welcome (is that why there were so many pregnant customers?) but not enough to justify the price, nor are the beverages. My mani has lasted as well as could be expected after a week and my technician was very careful with her application, which I appreciated.

But when we went up to pay it was a part of what she was charged. My feet look terrible. I showed the receptionist my callous and complained. She apologized and took $10 off. This was a gift. I was incredibly disappointed with my service at Nailsaloon. Let me start by saying my technician was wonderful, and did everything that was outlined in the description of my $48 pedicure. But the service is advertised as a 50-minute service. I was considering another organic nail salon with a $34/30-minute pedicure, or a $45/45-minute pedicure, but decided to indulge, assuming this would be a long, luxurious experience. After being seated at 5:45pm and finishing before 6:20pm, I was confused. Did I miss something? When I asked the person at the front desk what the deal was, she called her manager. They did offer me a $10 discount, but I was mildly horrified when they said they were going to speak to the technician because that shouldnt have happened. I tried to say it wasnt her fault - she gave the full massage, hot towels, etc - this was simply completely false advertising. What, exactly, do these people think theyre offering that they can price a 30-minute service like this? The cleanliness? The organic salon certainly offered that - bags in the water, single use tools, and more. The massage? Everyone does this today (if anything theyve added back massage for free), and while the massage was long, it was totally standard for a nail salon - these arent professional body workers here. The polish? The organic salon was even more eco- and environmentally-friendly. The ambience? This was maybe the biggest let-down - it was loud, unrelaxing, and the chairs were completely average. The free drink? I would rather pay $13 less than be charged for my tea, and I would say the same if Id had a glass of wine.In my opinion, this place is completely ripping people off with its pricing model. I would have preferred to pay more and get a fully indulgent experience at a place like Red Door, or go to the organic salon (called Rainlily, for the record) for a 30 minute pedicure that is the exact same experience.

I went to the Nail Saloon for the first time last weekend and loved it. It is a very modern space and they have room for many clients at a time. My girlfriends and I made appointments, which I would recommend because it was pretty busy when we went (3 pm). It is pretty pricy, $80 for a mani-pedi (and thats with normal polish), but the lady I had did an amazing job. She made sure to check in with me along the way and always asked before doing anything to my feet/hands/nails. I also appreciated how patient they were when I was wriggling around in my chair during the pedicure -- I have really sensitive feet! They also offer complimentary drinks (beer, wine, water). The only possible downside is that I dont believe they offer gel polish. Personally this is not an issue, but it may be for some. They also only offer what looked to be three different polish brands, one of which is Zoya. I didnt look at the others. They have a TON of colors, though! If you have the time and money, I highly recommend this place.

If you want to go a nail salon that offers non-toxic polishes and nail care; doesnt smell like youre actually at a nail salon; serves cocktails, teas, coffees, wines; polishes your jewelry for you while youre getting that mani/pedi; or just want decent customer service, then run to nailsaloon!nailsaloon provides 5-free non-toxic polishes (Zoya, Priti NYC, RGB) that dont contain dibutyl phthalate, toluene, formaldehyde, resin or camphor, so you get a peace of mind knowing that your nails arent subjected to any toxicity. All of their tools are single-use and in fact, they will even seal up and give you the tools they used on you to take home afterwards. nailsaloon doesnt smell at all like a nail salon because they use high-tech ventilation that sucks up all those chemical odors. The space is beautiful - clean, white, and bright. Its almost like being in a loft with the exposed red brick and hipster-esque filament light bulbs. When you walk in, theres a couch and some magazines for you to peruse while you wait your turn. They offer complimentary coffee, teas, lemonade, sodas, wine, beer, and even house-made cocktails! The back is where the magic of manis and pedis happen. Theres a long table in the center where you get your manis done and on the left side of the wall, thats where you get your pedis. They also have a closet for you to hang up your coat. The nail technicians are super gentle and sweet. Mine took the time to clean up my nail beds, shape my nails, take care of my cuticles, applied a sugar scrub (which they make with sugar and essential oils) to my hands and massaged them, and applied hot cream and oil treatment to my hands and massaged them. Then, she took the Zoya matte velvet polish I chose and applied it meticulously to my nails and even suggested a glittery red/silver polish to apply on just my ring fingers. So thoughtful! Afterwards, she sealed everything with a top coat AND applied a few magical drops that made my nails dry in 5 minutes.$22 for a speedy mani (nail shaping, light cuticle care and lotion, color finish). $32 for the saloon mani (nail shaping, cuticle care, sugar scrub, hot cream, oil treatment, color finish). $48 for a saloon pedi. If you want nail art, its $3+. Waxing is $15-75, polish change is $15, and gel removal is $10.Prices are a little steep compared to the typical $15 you can get at other salons, however nailsaloon strives to be the cleanest salon and uses all-natural products. They also provide excellent service and the ambiance and decor are perfect for a day of pampering. Its the little extra amenities that make nailsaloon a truly unique salon experience and definitely worth visiting. In addition, nailsaloon donates 3% of their daily profits to organizations that promote community empowerment such as the Coalition for the Homeless. They also offer mentorships in which participants mentor young women in need and both get free manis/pedis offered by nailsaloon! You can sign up for mentorships on their website. Lastly, you can book on their website, making it super easy to make an appointment.
