Completely went downhill. Broken machines, working toilets were a rare event. After cancelling (which they require that you send a certified letter) they are sending me collection notices 7 months later. It’s been run into the ground and they don’t care. I believe that the manager and staff care but they are unable to fix any of the issues. The owners are the worst.

Stay away from this establishment! Impossible to cancel they charge late fees even though they have access to charge your credit card timely. There is no one to talk to resolve an issue. They are so unprofessional.

Front desk employees are nice enough but they make you jump through hoops to cancel your membership, don’t inform of correct cancellation methods, and then fail to acknowledge cancellations while continuing to charge you. Currently still being charged since trying to cancel in January. They are unhelpful on the phone and don’t answer customer service emails. Save yourself the time, money and frustration and go to Hollywood Health Club in Long Beach instead.

This gym has all the equipment you need to get in great shape. Cardiovascular and several exercise machines on the first floor and free weights, more machines, stretching and aerobic room on the second floor (huge area). Most gyms have been hit hard this year, but the staff are working diligently to maintain the required sanitary and health protocols. The best time to workout with the least amount of people is in the morning or around the last hour before closing.

If I could give less stars I would. I dont write reviews often but I want people to be aware that this gym will charge you for late fees even though they take payments each month and when you try to dispute it they will not refund the money.Yeah the owners will not refund you for this even though you shouldnt have been charged - Nice front desk employee that shouldnt be blamedThey also make it near impossible to quit. Find a better gym!

Decent gym, closes at 10pm, equipment not the newest but gets the job done! Staff is nice.

Stay far away from Synergy. They are still trying to charge us 8 months after cancellation. The manager of LB location wont help or return phone calls. There is no corporate number to talk with someone to resolve. Certified letters are delivered but not acknowledged. Spend your money with an ethical business, not one taking advantage of former members during a pandemic.

Good gym, plenty of space and a few of almost all kinds of machines so you never have to wait for stuff.

The coaching here is absolutely top notch. Safety and over all fitness are the focus and rather than random work outs that feel picked out of a hat, the programs have themes that span the course of weeks or months. This allows you to see the progress youre making with fairly regimented testing. I started 2 years ago, havent looked back and am fitter then Ive ever been.

I paid for two months and didnt even go to the gym for a single day. With the new wave of the pandemic growing I decided to cancel my membership with less than a month and they don’t want to give me a refund. Also, I gotta send a letter for the cancellation. In 2020, there is no person I can talk to directly on the phone. Ridiculous. In fact, I only enrolled in the gym because it is the only one in Long Beach. But I never heard a good indication of this place.

Great instructors that really push you to your limits. I have a hard time working out anywhere else!

We cancelled over a year ago. All of the sudden we get a $400 charge on our CC. Not cool! Been a client for over 10 years! Never going back now!

Ive been a member from the first day they opened. AND I AM GLAD.Hours are great. Open on holidays too.Generous w guest passes.Its a clean, well-run gym with plenty of equipment and great hours.They are so good they keep getting more members so they keep expanding.SO MUCH BETTER THAN THAT CHAIN A FEW BLOCKS AWAY!!!

I remember specifically asking while joining if quitting would be easy or not. I was told to just call and itll be taken care of. Well that was a lie. So now I have to jump through hoops and prescribe to a dogmatic and purposefully arduous termination plan. The staff was rude and acted like I was taking money out of their pocket. Single handedly one of the worst experiences Ive had to deal with. Some of the other reviews mentioned that theyll continue to bill you even after youve canceled. Ill be sure to keep an eye on my account after Ive traversed their obstacle course of policy

Wide variety of equipment, always clean, helpful staff and great workout classes. Best gym in the area.

One of two gyms in the area. I think better than NY sports, based on friends account. Still, facility needs a little TLC. Dirty floors, dust bunnies, Dusty equipment and of course, inoperative machines for weeks on end!

The night staff are kind of rude and non hospitable to people that just want to do the carido machines, they blast the music extremely loud at night so loud that you get a extreme head ache because the cardio machines are right next to the damn speakers, which is also kind of stupid ...which doesnt bother most of the night workout people because they(guys) just lift weights and dont do cardio but some of us actually want to do both and get in good shapei have asked them numerous times to turn the music down at night, they look at me like im asking them for blood or somethingthe day crew is much better because the music is at a normal volume i plan on cancelling my membership pretty soon

Worst ownership/management. Smells awful, garbage overflowing, takes months to fix one piece of equipment.

Nasty manager, place is hot and dirty, the only one water fountain does not work!!
