This is the best nail shop in Greensboro hands down! There is usually a wait BUT the wait is worth it to have your nails so on point!

If you can deal with the wait they are very polite and professional.

Everyone here is so nice, and can actually do nails. The vibe of the salon is great, all the employees get along and treat customers with respect. The owners Dee & Darren are awesome and Selena is bomb with eyebrows!!! Anything you find on the Internet, or any vision you have they can bring to life!! Plus prices are extremely fair, I have been charged more at other nail salons for lesser quality/amount of work. The only “con” about this place is the long wait times but who can blame them?? They got it going on, everyone wants their nails done here cause they’re done RIGHT every single time. Ever since Covid they have a new system where you sign in and then they call you, which is super helpful cause I can go run errands while I wait. They don’t take appointments for anyone wondering, so you have to go there to physically sign in and see if there is a wait time or not. I always come here unless I need my nails done in a pinch and don’t have time to wait.

Not sure why my review isn’t up anymore since I last put it but I’m pretty sure they use MMA products which is very very harmful to the nail. It’s illegal in NC and shouldn’t even be used on nails but after I got a set done (which I hated) I went to a licensed nail tech in my area and she did a soak off and you could tell that this nail salon used MMA acrylic just by the way the nails were soaking off. Again, I left a review about this and I don’t see it up so idk if they took it off but don’t waste your time here.

I am from out of town and we found the place based on reviews and they are not wrong. The owner did my nails. They were kind of busy but they went thru the wait list super quickly. My nails are gorgeous and I felt like his only client. The techs are down to earth and will do absolutely anything you want. They do 3D nails, chrome, jewels, marbling everything. Im super happy with my nails and I feel confident.

This was my first time here and my first time having a man do my nails. My nails were terrible before my visit and let tell you Mr. Bellini got me all the way together! He did a AWESOME job. Hes my new nail guy for sure!

Its is packed and I understand why!! I got a pedi and did not know that its the gel pedi only with Covid restrictions, what ever. I am in love she did an amazing job even my daughter was excited and surprised. Yall check out the toes. I know they are suppose to feel good but I have been to a lot of places and this one may have my repeat business when I get my coins up. Please remember to bring ur own nail file and buffer other wise a $2 charge and the gel pedi is $40, but cuts down on dry time. P.S. the pedi was a gift from me daughter❤❤❗

HORRIBLE customer service, DO NOT RECOMMEND! You will be waiting for 2 hours minimum to be seen unless you know them. I waited 2 1/2 hours to get a pedicure, a client comes in and writes her name down and what she wanted and she was instantly seen. The client even said she was at the bottom of the list and the nail tech said “ it’s okay I’ll take you now” . Not to mention you have to pay for THEIR supplies never heard of any shop charging you for a nail filer and brush. You would think they would have nail dryers as much as they charge for everything but they don’t. HORRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT!

I have got my nails done 3 times here the first time i got short set just white for 55 dollars i got my toes done for 62 dollars and before i got them done they told me 45 there work is really good but they tend to change there prices

I came in at 5:00pm & waited for an hour and a half after getting a pedicure to get my nails done and finally the owner came and told me At 7:19pm that she couldn’t take me because it would be too late. If I would have been told that it was a chance of me not being able to get my fill in, I would have never waited. I always request the same guy when I get my nails done being that everyone does not know how to service long nails so I definitely feel like it was personal. Just started coming back here 2 months ago but it looks like I’ll be heading out again. I’m not begging anyone to take my money.

I was a walk in and i was seated as soon as i made it in the door. The man that did my nails was very detail oriented and did not rush at all. I left with the best set of acrylic nails ive ever gotten done. Wont be going anywhere else from now on. On top of the quality, TJ Nails is the most sanitary place out there.

Ive been to many of nail salons, but nothing compares to the exquisite quality and friendly service you will receive here. There is a bit of a wait, but its worth it for the end result. Every nail technician is friendly and accommodating to your style or idea. I was planning on grey nails with marble, but Dee, my nail technician, suggested a nude with one marble nail. I was weary at first, but once realized her knowledge in what would work with my finger shape and skin tone, I had completely forgotten about the dull grey I had thought of prior. I would had never picked this style for myself because I thought I couldnt pull it off, but I was wrong and glad I was. They look amazing and I tried something new that looks like perfection. I will never go anywhere else and consider this my home nail salon. I give big thanks to all of the technicians that share their art and beauty with us.

They do excellent work, but there are times I waited 3 hours .. and than because it was closing time had 4 employees arguing who was going to do me because they all wanted to go home .. not very professional, but my place hasnt reopened without apt so I m here . . When u do get a chance to sit and get your nails done I have no complaints...

They are up to date on all the latest nail trends. Friendly staff and worth any amount of time you wait. I was finally able to get the unique nail look I wanted without breaking my pockets.

I come Here frequent and I pay good money I’veHad no issues before but my last two experiences have left me speechless my nails are sloppy and misshaped and my paint job was horrible. I’m born and raised in Greensboro, and have been getting my nails done from a young age. I’ve hopped around nail salons and always been unsatisfied with the quality of work, even when I get a simple nail style. Tj Nails has never let me down with how my nails look, and they will always accommodate if you don’t like something. From matching a photo I find to giving me the exact nail shape I want, it’s always beyond exceptional work. Tommy, D, and Darren are the only people I’ve gone to, and are the most humble, hard working and friendly nail technicians. I don’t doubt the rest of them provide the same quality in their services.

So I had been looking for a nail tech who’d really understand my needs even if I didn’t quite know how to vocalize it and my friend recommended tj nails. She’s a regular of Darren’s so that’s who I wanted. But on my first visit he wasn’t here so I was serviced by someone else and I loved my nails. On my next visit I was able to be serviced by Darren and I’ve been a regular for a few months now. He’s always so friendly and gets me to step outside my comfort zone. We sit next to his wife and they keep me laughing my whole visit. Everyone is nice and extremely skilled. I recommend to everyone who ask about my nails.

Overcrowded...the nail tech that performed my service drilled my nails entire to low....my nail bases were red even 3 weeks after service .....Better training is needed

The best place in town

TJ Nails is a great salon but the last visit, my tech is doing my nails while doing a pedicure, so a lot of back & forth. The only reason I didnt leave is because it was my daughters pediatrician she was doing. My usual strong nails are damaged after visit with this tech. No more manicures here.

When I walked into the salon a customer was checking out at the register with a male tech and a female tech nearby behind him (one of which the customer referred to as Dee). I of course have no issue waiting until the previous customer is checked out, however, after checking the customer out I was still not greeted at all, not even a “we will be right with you” was stated. While the female tech was standing right in front of me I said hello, and received no response, but I continued to wait just in case for some unlikely reason she didn’t hear me... still not even a slight acknowledgement of my presence after ten minutes of waiting. I took my hard earned money elsewhere. It takes more than pretty nail designs to run a business. I would give ZERO stars if I could, since zero effort was made to utilize basic customer service skills. Don’t waste your time find a salon with common courtesy and one where the parking lot won’t ruin the alignment on your car.

This was my 1st visit here. I Walked in at a good time. I was able to get my pedicure, nails, and eyebrows done with no wait. Loved the variety of colors of SNS powder overlay. Everyone was nice and the prices werent bad at all. Definitely will be returning in 2weeks for my fill in!!

This was my first time getting my nails done at TJ Nails and I absolutely loved the experience. My friends suggested this place and it was the best decision to try it out. I had an awesome nail tech, he made great conversation. The whole staff was nice and acknowledged me as soon as I walked through the door. Loved it, I will be back.

They don’t have a price list up, which lets them tell you any price they want. if you’re not one of their regulars that come all the time they will constantly tell you different prices every time you come. I went one week for a repair & a color change. I went to Tommy or Darren (can’t remember) & was charged $8 for the repair & was told the nail change was $18. Which I ended up not getting bc it was almost time for a fill-in anyway. I went the following week after my fill in for another repair & color change. This time I went to Ming & was then told a repair was only $5 but a color change would be $20. Not consistent at all

My favorite nail shop and Lisa is my fav! All the nail techs stay up to date with the latest nail design trends, dips, acrylics and polishes. The atmosphere is always welcoming, the shop is cozy and everyone knows each other. Its a very popular place so when they open get there Early because the wait is sometimes very Long!

I love this place! Youll just have to keep in mind they close early then most at 7pm. They do such a good job sometimes you can go on a weekday and its a weekend crowd. Most days Ive gone there is a wait but its worth it. Hope this helps.

Disappointed with the time but i love my nails. Ive been for 1 hour and a half. Now sitting waiting to get my eyebrows done. Nobody has shown up. This brings down the level of service.

Overall nails turned out good but the wait time was ridiculous! Waited 3 hours before they started on my nails when I was told it was a 1 - one and a half hour wait. Also the lady said she was ready to start on my nails but then took 3 more customers eyebrows first

This nail salon is the best IMO; they are so up to date on all the newest nail polish, designs and trends. Coming from Austin, Texas, I thought I was wearing the best, however, now I am. Great staff, very knowledgeable, listens to the client and very clean location.

This shop can do any design you ask for but every time i go there i feel rushed & my nails are never perfect. They lift, my acrylic’s not filed on the sides & again... i hate feeling rushed out the chair.

Terrible nails

I went in around 6:15pm for my very first time to TJs. I figured let me get a complete set so I can see what the hype was about. I do have long nails and the tech encouraged me to cut them and add a tip. Thats not what I want. I want a fresh set. So he struggled and popped them all off, breaking a few in the process. The set went quick, filing etc, design was okay although I asked a unicorn nail and definetly wasnt what was pictured on their Instagram. I paid and left, but now 2.5 weeks later at least 4 oft nails have come up from the acrylic. So I say all this to say, service was great, employees were pleasant, but I probably wont be back. Back to the drawing board to find an awesome nail salon in Greensboro.

First time coming (was referred) 3 hour wait! They have this white paper they use for a technician preference and call from that list first! No matter who got there first ! Nails haven’t been on 4 days and they are lifting and the lady who does lashes used hair glue for my lashes! Friendly environment but I won’t returnAnd to add to your reply anyone who sees my reviews for VIP nails is a nail salon in ANOTHER STATE and they have 3stars being I went there for years! Read all the reviews before going and decided it was good enough to go try before I got my bridal pictures done. Walked in at 5:10. When I walked in there were only two people on front of me and I sat there for over an hour waiting. No one said anything to me when I walked in. Once I finally got called I showed him a picture of what I wanted and I do love my nails but he did not do anything with my cuticles. And he kept stopping to mess with his music speaker. By the time I left it was almost 8. I do like my nails but my fingers hurt so bad the next day and I hated it so that and the wait time alone I don’t think I’ll be back.

This is the only nail salon I go to. They have the best staff, best craft and the most talent in Greensboro with the best pricing.

My mom and I went there this past Saturday. All the techs were very pleasant and friendly to both of us, but especially to my mom since she was visiting and it was her 1st time there. The owner convinced my mom to do chrome, she reshaped her nails perfectly and had her daughter finish the color and chrome, my mom loves it, tj nails take their time on nails and pedicures to ensure quality, which I appreciate..my mom was very impressed by how personable everyone were, we will definetely be back.

I would give no stars, but that wasn’t an option. So, let’s see, where do I start...The place is the size of a shoe box, which makes it uncomfortable. The service, absolutely sucks, they do not greet or acknowledge you when entering. The owner, D, is rude and unprofessional, and does rush jobs, which results in sloppy work, then gets an attitude if u complain!! They have their 16 year old daughter doing nails, doubt that she has a license, again unprofessional! Take my advice, don’t fall for the hype, this place has been way too overrated...Plenty of better, more professional, relaxing establishments in the area.

I really didnt enjoy my experience here. They dont have a set price of services which means they charge what they desire!!! I got a fill in w holographic chrome$60 & 1 day later my nails lift on my right hand. I had to get a replacement which was another. $8 smh. If your intro overcrowded. Money hungry individuals w a lack of customer service skills this is the place for you. Never again for me. Ill pass

So I have been looking for a nail place that has workers who legit care. Out clients and dont rush to make their next doller! I took a chance and drove 30 minutes to Greensboro and I couldnt have made a better decision. I have been here for 2 hours maybe more and its been nothing but personal attention and attention to detail with everything down to filing shaping polish and pedicure work. Im very please and I WILL make the commute to keep this as my go to place! Thanks tj nails u guys did awesome & the atmosphere is really chill and laid back too!

Manager is rude. Kicked me out because I did not want to talk to him.Responding back to his reply: I was already in the chair for about 15 mins. He had fixed two nail repair and started the acrylic on my left hand. He already knew the shape and never asked me about a color. He harassed me 5 times on why I had my headphones in, and stated that I must be very hostile since I had them in. I replied that I was okay, I just wanted to listen to my music. He then got upset and instead of asking me to leave nice he yelled get out of my chair no one else in the shop will help you. Lets keep in mind its 10 am in the morning. He called the cops because I would not leave because he had open flesh on one of my finger nails and I was scared about an infection. I also posted what happen on my own social media and one of his workers tried to bother me in mentions talking about I was cheap. Overall they do nails good, but the customer service lacks. If the Owner is rude, the other nail techs will be rude. #SupportBlackOwnedBusiness, they actually care about their customers. How can you have a nice environment if the Owner is rude? Double Standard much.
