Super duper clean nail salon with a really kind staff. They do an incredible job. Theyve helped me pick out colors and its so easy to schedule with them, even at the last second (usually). I dont get gel nails, but my nail polish lasts a looong time. The atmosphere is chic without being pretentious. If youre looking to treat yourself, look no further.

Love their products. Their gel polish is amazing! I already have good nails but most salons mess them up when they soak off the gel. Not this place they really take their time. My nails are so long and strong!

The staff was great, friendly and did a great job treating myself, bridesmaids & even our flower girl to manís & pedis! Perfect way to relax before the wedding!

Velvet Files is amazing. If you are into a non-toxic, but still luxurious manicure and/or pedicure experience, look no further. The ambience here is so beautiful. It is the perfect mix of boutique and nail salon - but it is not like any other nail salon I’ve been to before. It isn’t loud or brimming with noxious fumes... it’s actually relaxing. The polish options they have are gorgeous. Everything they use on you smells amazing. The hot water soaked melt your stress away. Great massages. Honestly, I can’t say enough wonderful things about Velvet Files. Do yourself a favor, and schedule an appointment. You won’t regret it!

The manicure service I got was very pleasant and relaxing. They have so, so many gel colors to choose from!! They are happy to find you the perfect color match for whatever your needs are. I am still wearing my gel polish from over three weeks ago and there is hardly any chipping! I look forward to my next visit here. It has become one of my favorite spots in Old Town.

Never have I had a more enjoyable experience at a salon! The prices are higher than other salons however the service makes is worth it. Luckily I had a gift card so my trip was paid for, but I would happily spend my own money there again. Since Velvet Files is so popular it is kinda hard to schedule an appointment but if you do so ahead of time it should be easier!

Great location, beautiful building, and cute interior design. Beauticians were all incredibly sweet and did a wonderful job! Made appointments for three of us a month in advance and asked if I could schedule a date where we could each receive our pedicures and manicures at the same time only when the salon could accommodate this. Was told the date and time they were available to do so. One of us still had to wait to get our manicure started which then resulted in two of us waiting and the other one of us feeling bad we had to wait. It would have been nice to be seated together. There was a party of two others that were not seated together and even mentioned, they were separated again. Happy with our services, not the service per the hostess.

What a cute salon! I just came in for a regular manicure last minute and was able to get an appointment. I think I had Sarah, she was super fun. Excellent service and loved my nails. I like that they try to use “natural” products as well.

Velvet files has ruined me for other nail salons. I always break out and itch after pedicures because the lotions have a lot of chemicals and the Snell of nail salons normally gives me headaches. Velvet files uses all natural ingredients so my skin is soft and healthy afterwards. The salon has a great atmosphere with awesome staff. So relaxing!

I love love love Velvet Files. VF is the best nail shop in Fort Collins. The shop is the perfect blend of modern + traditional esthetic and has a boutique at the front. My favorite services are the ‘Classy Mani’ and the ‘Velvet Rose Facial.’ The Gel Bottle Inc polish works better for me, and there’s so many options to choose from (Miami, Sahara, Vixen, Jungle are few favs.) The ‘Velvet Rose Facial’ is the best facial I’ve ever had, and I’ve also gotten my lashes done too. Every tech is so good - Chloë, Jenna, Laura. Chloë does my nails, and she is magic. And the owners, Bonnie and Liz, are the best! I feel lucky to have found such a gem.💎

Wow, very impressed with this place. The staff is friendly and they did a great job with my pedicure. The chairs are super comfy and oversized. The foot bath and sugar scrub were so relaxing. I would absolutely go back!

I love this place! The all natural gel lasts for weeks, even for someone like me who’s really hard on their hands (boxing 4 days a week) the polish lasts 2+ weeks! Beautiful atmosphere and the employees and owners are so nice! They had to change the time of my last appointment and gave me a discount - wonderful customer service! The products they sell are all great too!

Great place, very relaxed and cozy. Great technicians and skincare items for sale, too! Appointment recommended as they dont have that many chairs but thats why I like it -keeps it from feeling chaotic or too loud!!

I enjoyed my first experience here. The employees were nice to talk to and the atmosphere was comfortable. I was disappointed to find out that my swift pedicure did not actually include complimentary beer or wine as stated on the website. We were offered wine, beer, or a mimosa for an extra $3.

First time here, went for mother/daughter pedicures....really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere. Laura and Leah were awesome! Great way to end my trip to Colorado...will definitely come back next time Im in town!

Really enjoyed my experience here and loved the staff/ambiance but the day after I got my nails done I noticed a chip in my second toe. It was minor but after I paid 46$ for a pedicure I want it to last and be chip free for at least a few days. Sad :/

The staff at Velvet Files gives a great manicure/pedicure - they are very attentive to detail, and focused on making sure you love your service. Also, such a cute little boutique up front!

Great spot! The natural gel has been much better for my nails than shellac. The staff are friendly and professional, and the added bonus of a mimosa while getting a manicure is hard to beat!

Love the non toxic products. But I found all of the employees to be very stuck up and unfriendly. It’s hard to even catch a smile after paying over $80. I will not be going back simply because I felt unimportant to them. Customer service matters.
