I saw Ryan for a manicure and it was the worst experience I have ever had at any salon in my life. He had extremely poor customer service and made it seem I was a bother the entire time in his chair which was so uncomfortable for me. When it came down to putting the base coat of no chip on once I put my hands in the LED light they started to burn so I asked if I can switch to regular polish instead. It bothered him more and he continued to add regular base coat over one hand that still had no chip base coat while the other was bare. I asked if he can remove the no chip base coat before adding the regular base coat because I don’t want both hands to be different…. He gave me a long stare without answering then continued. By then I had to walk out. I cannot speak on the salon as a whole, BUT PLEASE have respect for yourself and do not book or accepts walk-in with Ryan as your nailtech!!!

I have been going here for the last 4 years so I am a regular customer! The last few times I have come the customer service and business and the quality of work has been terrible. They are super rushed, running around clueless, and not friendly at all. I just got a no chip manicure and my nails lasted 3 days before they started to chip break and fall apart. I spend almost 100 dollars there and for my nails to fall off and break is outrageous. My nails have never looked so terrible and so short in 10 years. I shouldnt be peeling off a no chip especially after 3 days. Wont be coming back thats for sure.

I’ve been here 3 times in the 3moths and the first time was good the only thing is the acrylic were to thick. Th second time was great .. she was fast and well done. And this last time my friend and I went for the same thing but I had to sit an extra 15 min because she would over file and retouch the color. And the bottom of the nails still came out sloppy. This was my first time not leaving a tip. Overall it’s a good place.

DO NOT GO THERE horrible service they allHad a attitude, VERY RUDE and did A VERY SLOPPY JOB. Made an appointment for 4:15 they didn’t take me in till 4:45 and didn’t let me fully dry my nails even though it was there fault because they took me in so late even though I made an appointment earlier. The reason why the price is low is because they keep adding on, for example I wanted a coffin nail shape and they charged me extra!!! Not worth the money and wait don’t go.

Showed multiple workers a picture of ombre french design and was told that they could accomplish it without an issue. They also tried to tell me I had to get fake nails, a few times. I had to insist that I was there for a no chip. I have never had to fight to have a nail tech agree to the service I want. During the pedicure, they barely cleaned up cuticles and did not even attempt to shape nails to match each other. When it came time for ombre, the tech used a small applicator brush that was frayed at the ends. When I asked if he could use a smooth brush, because the frayed one left a mess on my nails, he said he did not know any other way to apply ombre. He said it was either the messy way, or I choose a plain no chip color. I am shocked that a place of business would say they could fulfill a service and then when it came time, were not able to deliver. I ended up having to choose a plain no chip color. This was 6 hours ago. 1 of my no chip nails has chipped -go figure. And 2 of my toes have been smudged, and the nail polish is all messed up. I will have to visit a different nail salon tomorrow and pay extra to have this fixed. I will not be returning to Tran Nail Salon.***Update: I had my nails done on Thursday and it is now Monday. More than half have PEELED off. Not chipped, peeled. I am not sure if the polish was old, or wrong application. This has only happened to me, previously, after 3 weeks of color.

Went here for the first time yesterday for a pedi + no chip mani and had a very pleasant experience! Very clean, loved the color options, the decor was relaxing, and the nail technicians were great and seemed experienced. I love my nails.

I’ve been to multiple nail salons in the past few months as my mom and I have been trying to find one we really like. This one was by far the most infuriating. I from the beginning told my nail tech what I wanted, I needed a fill in and reshaping of my nails and new color. I explained that I wanted dip powder as I liked how that looked and felt on my nails better than normal polish did. After the fill in he brought out polish and began to open them, from that point I stopped him and told him (again) I wanted dip. He then proceeded to explain with attitude that I should have said that in the beginning (I did) and now it was too late and he couldn’t do anything without taking my acrylics off and redoing them completely. At that point I just said to do the polish not having the time nor money to do another set. I then tried to spark conversation about little things to just break the awkward silence. Each time he spoke he spoke in a manner like I was below him. At this point of my trip I just stayed quiet and let him do what he wanted since it seemed that was the only option. My nails look okay enough to stay until my next fill in, but they are misshaped (asked for stiletto got almond) and the polish job looking at the back of the nails are a mess. I’m honestly very disappointed and am impatiently waiting for a time I can go to a different place and get them fixed.

This place is so hit or miss honestly. But the price is decent and its convenient. However, I just got ANOTHER mediocre pedicure there though... I think Im gonna look for a new place

Went to get a no chip mani and pedi. I have gotten pedicures here in the past and always loved them. The last time I went Memorial Day weekend I got a no chip pedi and a full set with no chip polish. The next day my nail broke and needed to be repaired. So this time I decide pedi and mani only. My manicure chipped Sunday. I don’t live in Chicago so I can’t get it repaired. I don’t think I’ll be back

Went for a pedicure and the technician only cut my toe nails and filed them. Didn’t cut cuticles or hang nails. So basically I got a foot massage and my toe nails painted. If you want a complete pedicure this isn’t your place.

Loyal customer for about a year and a half, (if not longer), today was my last time here. I feel like the last couple of times Ive been here, its been a hit or miss with customer service. Girls today put it over the edge, especially the younger one who was pregnant. She may have not been feeling well, or just not having a good day, but her entire attitude is 100 percent the reason for me not returning. I didnt feel welcome at all - I felt like I was just another body in the room they needed to rush through so they could jump back on their cell phones. Theres enough nail salons in the area who can greet with a smile and make you feel like they actually want your money. The owner at Trans looks miserable every time I step in there - definitely a reflection on the morale. From a positive standpoint, this location is extremely clean and has a beautiful interior.

Im definitely not going there again. Waited for an hour, and it was closing time. I was still waiting ONLY to find out that I was asked to come tomorrow like really?? This is not the first time either. The ONLY nail tech that knows what she is doing is the owner. If you have NATURAL nails, be careful who takes care of you. My natural long nails were damaged by someone that didnt know what they were doing. I explained to her numerous times the were dip powder nails but natural and she insisted in filing them because they WERE acrylic according to the tech!!!!!!! Like really???!!!! Not going there again!.

1st time here & not a big fan. Had an appointment & still waited over 1/2 hour. The shape of my tips are not all the same & looks sloppy. I realize they were busy with Easter being this Sunday but I deserve good quality service.

First time Here! Every other place was booked so I decided to give this place a try. They r well staffed and even tho it looks small from the outside, it is very nicely decorated and roomy compared to other places . Almost... fancy . I had a pedicure only this time plus a good foot massage . I had lily. Very sweet, made small talk. Smiled alot and for me, customer service is more important than anything. Happy with the work .Will recommend .

Im not sure how they do on manicures, but do not go here for a pedicure. I have never had a pedicure in 25 minutes until now. They actually set a timer. They didnt even fill the water before she started. She put the hot towels on and pulled them off before they cooled. One coat of polish, doesnt even go to the edges of the nail, and no clear on top. Oh, and I had to clean out my cuticles myself.

I normally don’t make any reviews, but Tran Nails really messed my actual nails up. I got a fungal infection from poor sterilization and malpractice. Tran Nails would physically tear off any fake nail I have hurting me, and ripping off my real nail. I developed a fungal infection on three nails and thankfully I spotted it early on before it became a bigger issue.

I got my eyebrows done here a few times and loved it. Today I had the absolute worst experience. I told the woman that last time I got my eyebrows done my forehead had red bumps due to temperature. She ignored me. I once again have red bumps covering my forehead. She missed so many hairs and my eyebrows have no shape. The worst part was she left wax all over my eyebrows and didnt put anything on them after to soothe them. I am never coming back.

I recently got a full set and pedicure, I liked the way my ombre nails came out but when it came to my pedicure I was so angry and disappointed. Amy did my pedicure and the whole time it seemed as if she was in a rush and upset she had to give me a pedicure. She would just push my feet in the water or pull them out and have no manners at all, when I asked if she could slow down and take her time, she completely ignored me and sighed. Terrible customer service!!!

NEVER GO TO THIS NAIL SALON. I CAME FOR PROM. i asked them the next day to take off and give me my money back because the nails are not the right shape and too short. she goes “you don’t like them because your friends told you they look thick” and everyone i showed my nails said they looked thick. I will never be coming back, and for the manager Carrie to not cooperate and just say i have to pay 60$ for another set is ridiculous. I’ve been to nail salons and have had them removed. All she said is we can’t give your money back we can fix them. But they’re going to be shorter than what they are now.If there was a way to put no stars that’s where they would be. I would rather do my own nails at home. DO NOT COME IN!

I was a loyal customer. They are very rushed and sloppy and if they do something wrong they won’t acknowledge it. I got acrylics here before and I loved them but now they pop off so easily it’s ridiculous. A week ago I got acrylics and called and they said they would fix it but the next I called to make sure they would fix it for free they said no. So I was once a loyal customer but no longer. Terrible service, sloppy, and rude.

I wrote this as i waited & served. This is my 4th time coming here. I came in today on a Wednesday morning, at 10:30 I didn’t finish till about 12:56 they let me soak for an hour until, who I assume is the manager, Carrie came. I then had to switch from one side of the salon to the other side. She constantly took breaks every time someone came in she told them it was a couple minutes. Went to run the water for the pedicure had them to sit and “soak” for about 15-25 minutes as she finished up with me. There were 5 people waiting plus two “soaking”. She ended up calling one other person to come in but most of the staff only do pedicures or manicures.In this same day, I was quoted $35 for pink gel overlay once she finally got started all of a sudden it’s $5 more. Then I picked a basic OPI color and she told me that’s $3 more. I asked why, she said she didn’t know but it last longer. At that point I said I didn’t want it and she said it’s ok. This is a scam they use to get more money. If you are comfortable with going through obstacles, this is the place for you. I am currently looking for another salon.

So I started going Here because I spotted it on my way coming home from work. I was excited because inside is very beautiful. The first few times I had good experiences. But this last time I had went in for a fill and a pedicure. Amanda I believe is her name was the one to do my fill in when I told her that I want to do regular polish because I had chosen an Essie color for my toes and they do not carry no chip. She insisted that I do no Chip she had another associate go and look for a matching color. The last time that I had gotten no chip I told her that I smoke and whatever they had did the last time had like horrible reaction with my nails and started turning them brown and black around the ends and I have never had an issue like that before. And thats the reason why I dont want to do it no chip again. So Amanda insisted that before she used a different clearcoat and that was the difference so this time she would put a different clear coat. So trusting her and after spending $70 for a fill in and a pedicure I left almost satisfied even though the color of my nails was slightly off from my toes. So around 8 PM I realize my nails are starting to discolor.. So the following morning I go in there and Amanda is working and the owner and I walk in and tell them that I was just in there yesterday I explain the whole situation and Right away Amanda got defensive and rude telling me that I did something with my nails I put them in chemicals thats why its having that reaction. Or because I smoke. First of all I told you this to begin with..What sense does that make? I have been getting my nails done since I was 13 years old and I have been smoking since I was 15 years old I have never had any incidences like this with my nails turning colors. So after refusing me for about 15 minutes she finally sat me down I told her please paint my nails the polish that I chose yesterday for my toes. She rudely set me down, I was very uncomfortable. she was painting my nails with an attitude and very rushed when she came to do with the rhinestones on the finger she did such a horrible job . I just walked out. I will never be returning here they just lost a consistent customer. Remember ladies the customers are always right and when we are spending OUR hard earned money on a service in your place of business its a good idea to be professional and make sure that your customers leave happy and satisfied.

The best place to get your acrylic nails done! And I love their pedicures. Everyone I have had do my nails is an expert and does such I nice job. Im not sure what all the complaints are about in the reviews, they are very busy so I always make an appointment and they never cancel or make me wait. I have seen them take walk ins but they dont seem to need to wait very long.I have also seen on more than one occasion a person walk in, be seated next to me and wait for 5 minutes and then start bitching about it, start talking down to the employee and being completely rude. Finding satisfaction out of Treating people poorly because of their occupation is a sick superiority complex. If this is the kind of customer you are then go somewhere else. You are embarrassing, no ones impressed, get you act together.Youre just getting your nails done so quit acting like youre Mariah Carey, seriously stop it. Im guessing those other reviews are from people like this...Ive had my nails done other places and they end up falling off after several fills but whatever these ladies do works. My nails have never chipped and the sides of the acrylic never lift off my nails.The decor is very nice, people working there are so nice and accomodating, everything is clean and sanitary. The salon is beautiful. However, this is my fourth time trying Tran Nails. Each time Ive had a pedicure, which goes well but you feel rushed. Ive had two no chips. The first was horrible. Sloppy shaping of my nails, transparent polish and chipped off in 3 days! At the time I worked in the dental field wearing gloves and constantly washing my hands so I blamed that. However Ive gone to other salons and my no chip has lasted for a month.This no chip and pedi, my sisters and I were amongst four other clients. There was plenty of staff. We waited ten minutes. Got seated for pedicures, this room had a flood. One of the chairs didnt drain. Our chairs werent attended, our water was burning hot and the basin almost full. Again the pedi was good. Nothing spectacular, good. We moved to the chairs for our nails. I put my hand in lukewarm water, the nail tech started my cuticles and I started tensing with the aggressiveness and pressure. Filing and polish was better but now its day eight and both hands have small chips on the corners and lifting on the sides. I work now in an office, no reason for the chipping unless a poor application.I will not come back. Ill go to the other salons where my no chip and pedi last 3+ weeks.

Normally Im a big fan of this place, Amy does incredible designs.However, I stopped going here for about 3 months due to nursing school and not being allowed to wear nail polish.I have a wedding to attend so I went in to get them done and a new woman I had cut me multiple times and it was quite the painful experience. She did a great job with the design though and since it was close to the holidays I decided to tip nicely.It has been a week since I got them done (no chip) and now 4 nails have half the designs coming off and one nail is already chipping paint.Im extremely disappointed the go around. Not their best work.

I have been coming here for a few years and always loved my experience. The owners, Tina & her husband, handled rush periods like a pro and always made sure they honored your appt.However, Tina recently went on maternity leave in January and everything has gone down hill. I had to walk out TWICE in the past month due to horrible time management by the new mgr, Carrie. Both times Ive had an appt and both times I waited over 45mins before being fed up. You walk in, they tell you to pick a color, then leave you sitting there with NO acknowledgment. The second time, on 3/23/18, I purposely watched her take two customers who came in after me, before me.When I went to the front and made it known that I was leaving for the second time in a 4-wk time frame and to pay for my pedi, then all of a sudden they wanted to accommodate me. I declined twice, left no tip for the first time, and let them know that I would not be back.Unless you enjoy being ignored, I wouldnt recommend this salon. Call me when Tina is back.

This is my 2nd time coming here. First time it was ok, they took me righht away and manicure was ok. Today I went with my daughter, they took us in but didnt even give us time to decide on a color. I chose one I didnt really like because the girl was rushing me. She cut my nails left a few longer then others and she was very rough when she was filing and cleaning my nails. She had an attitude. Then she took the no chip uv light away really fast when my hand was still in there. She was really rude. Sorry but Im not going back there again!!!

When you make an appointment with a nail place and they dont want to take your party of 8 when you made an appointment for that many people. Manager Ocean was very ignorant and was fighting with us. I will never go back to this place. if you have a large party and make an appointment dont go here. They dont like to take large parties and get a large payment.

My experience was horrible me and my friend waited for an hour to get a pedi!!!!!! and they dont even tell you how long is the wait. they sit you down so you could think theyll be with you shortly .i waited 1 hour didnt end up getting a pedi got a polish change instead .i also got a no chip got home got in the shower and two of my nails chipped i was livid. Not a great variety of colors poor customer service . The only hard worker there was tom he was on top of it with my friend her nails turned out great.

Nails by Fran is awful. She is very unprofessional, and was rude! Dont go to her, especially if you are using a groupon because she wont answer the phone and will cancel the appointment last minute

I came two weeks ago for a mani/pedi and they turned out BEAUTIFULLY. Today I came back for a mani and couldnt believe I was at the same place. The nail polish is way too thick and globbed on at the ends of the nails, the nails themselves are roughly filed and not smooth, and the techs hair kept getting caught in the wet polish. I tried to say something but she had headphones in the whole time.
