I went to this place to get a pedicure and a fill-in. I was the last person to leave that place. I was so uncomfortable and not satisfied with the results.First, they started with my pedicure. I was in that chair for 2 hours because the polish would not dry. They had to do my feet twice. My feet was so tender after they finished.Second, my nails was last and it took forever. Before he started I told him to cut my cuticles and he said yes but he did it after he did the fill-in and polish, which was weird to me. The corner of my nails were not covered completely with the gel powder nor polish.Also, lines started to appear on my nails as if they were cracking and one nail broke by me scratching my side, just scratching, the next day. My nails in these pictures look over a week old but they are not.

Mimi’s is always amazing! I get SNS and it usually lasts 3-4 weeks. Staff is always so friendly. Will always be a loyal customer.

Ive been going here for two years now and receive exceptional results every time! My regular is SNS dip powder and nail extensions which for me lasts the longest and feels most natural. The staff are always incredibly friendly and makes sure you leave delighted with your new nails. My favorite so far has been the cow print! Thank you Mimi Nails!

The communication from the owner and employees was great the moment I came in. I asked for a certain nail style and the owner told me she would take care of me. I went with her recommendation and my nails turned out EXACTLY like I wanted! I am so happy. We had a great conversation during the manicure and she asked me multiple times if I liked my nails so far. I havent been able to get my nails to look this way at other salons, so I am very excited to go back! The spa was clean and smelled nice, too. Thank you guys!

I have been going here for a while, and trust me when I tell you, I have tried many other nail places, but none of them compare to mimis nail spa. They are unique; I love Kim and Tony. They are always lovely and beyond welcoming. The whole staff is fantastic.

I looked at google reviews prior to visit and yes this spot lives up to the great reviews. I called to see if they would take a walk in which they did, when I got there I wasn’t quite sure what I really wanted, I showed the design and color to Kim and she did her magic! Everyone that I interacted with was very professional. I recently moved and this place is now going to be my fave plus it’s also a walking sistance👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Visited this place for the first time for an overdue wax and pink & white set. Very satisfied with the service. The place is clean and smells really nice. Also they are doing a great job at following the regulations for covid by wearing masks, social distancing, and etc. They have even taken the step of adding the plexiglass barrier between the nail technicians and the customers. No complaints. Will return when I come to the area. Highly recommend. Nails done by Henry.

I moved to Durham in 2018 for grad school and tried 3 or 4 different salons before I found Mimi Nail Salon. Fast-forward three years and it is the only nail salon in the Durham area that I will go to. The techs are SO detail-oriented, and I have never been disappointed with the outcome. My go-to service is the SNS. I get it done every month or so, and my nails are stronger and healthier than they’ve ever been.I never write reviews but this is the one place in Durham I recommend to all of my girlfriends. I’m moving to a new city soon, and I don’t know what il gonna do without Mimi

The nails salon very nice and clean. Environment is relaxing, The owner is so friendly. The young lady she did a great job on my moms finger nails. We came in the weekday so it was not too busy. I got a pedicure done, so far we both are satisfied.

Yes! Long story- arrived in Raleigh over an hour early, early hotel check-in wasnt an option. Sooooo how else to spend time? They opened promptly and never made us feel rushed! 3 walk-ins on a busy morning. The peds and manis were fantastic! The staff friendly and thorough. Best time, well spent!

This place was very nice and clean. Greeted as soon as we walk in door. Picked out color and sat down for pedicures. When it came to manicures they was awesome but there was a very poor job in painting. I dont know if it was a old bottle or what. I just got my nails done on Sunday and my nail paint has chipped on more than 4 fingers.

Best nail salon in Durham! Great customer service and nail work. I have been a consistent customer for over a year. Kim does an excellent job with my monthly SNS manicure. My nails are healthier and stronger than they have been in years. The salon is very clean and compliant of COVID-19 guidelines for nail salons.

You have to be white to have friendly and good service. They should put a sign outside NO KIDS allowed, my son was waiting outside and as soon as he walk in the staff started staring at him and commenting in another language. They put me with a person that didnt know what he was doing and then they change the person to finish the job. I am so disappointed on this place. I heard so many good things but I am not going back to this place anymore.

The salon is really clean and they do a great job of following safety protocols (masks, plexiglass, and social distancing so youre not sitting beside another customer). Kim has done SNS/Dip powder manicures for me each time Ive been here and they always look amazing - it also lasts a long time and helps your nails grow. The quality you get is definitely worth the price.

Mimi’s is the best place to go in the triangle. Kim never disappoints! She does it all. Coffin, almond, design, ombré. She has amazing customer service skills on top of that. She’s even fixed mistakes from other shops. I get compliments on my nails all of the time because of Kim. It’s a clean and welcoming shop!

So disappointed with this place. I made an appointment for a pedicure. Once I arrive for my appointment they sat me in one of the chairs. One of ladies filled it with water to soak my feet. I sat there waiting for someone to do my pedicure. Needless to say, after soaking for an hour no one ever came to give me my pedicure. No one acknowledge me until I had already put my socks and shoes on and one of the ladies asked if I wanted something to drink. Please ...... an hour later youre going to ask. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Unfortunately I have to give at least one star for this review but if I could I would not even give it that.

I have a hard time choosing colors and they know me well enough now to make recommendations that I always love! Also, my SNS manicure and pedicure always lasts at least a month. Mimi nails are definitely worth the price!!!

Moving from pedicare chair to go nail table after two staff members were working on my feet and one on removing my polish. The polish selected was on side table and fell on seat as I stood up. The manager yelled at me stating I ruined her chair when the tech staff left it there and bottle of b polish was not sealed tight. No apologies, nothing. She scared me to the point I was shaking and didnt feel comfortable the tensioner of my service. I would have walked out however my nails were not complete and my toe polish was not dry. What a day! Stress right!

Best nail salon Ive been to, hands down! I will drive an hour to get one of their pedicures and I will gladly introduce my friends to their services. Mimis has done my gel/manicures, pedicures, and massages with ZERO complaints from this girl. I firmly believe you get what you pay for and Mimis ALWAYS delivers!

I made an appointment to have a manicure today. I walked in at my appointment time four hours later, and was turned away because of a bigger group of customers coming in after me. I was not notified of the cancellation in any way until I walked in. Horrible customer service, and will not be visiting again.

I have been going to Mimi Nail Spa for about 6 months. Kim is great with manicure, powder dip and gel polish. Ive never had any nails to chip and my nails usually last 3-4 weeks. She does great with the brows and color. Morgan gives a super pedicure. So glad I found this awesome spa!!

I got there, we discussed my services again beforehand. I get to drying my pedicure and my tech asks to check me out.....not before my full set! Now all of a sudden....there is really no availability for a full set at this point. I had a little free time today in my chaotic life of literally having zero time for me.

This was my first experience at Mimis and it was absolutely wonderful! I got a regular pedicure and SNS powder dip on my nails. The nail technician was very thoughtful, I did not feel rushed at all! Their pedicure massage chairs are amazing as well! Both feet and nails look amazing, Im very impressed. The whole staff was very friendly and welcoming! I will definitely be coming back!

Best pedicure I have received in a long time. Extremely nice people and pleasant atmosphere. Peter was amazing! He did a fantastic job and even managed to work with my extremely ticklish feet! Not the happiest with my dip powder manicure I had done here. I told the technician that my current nail length was perfect and I just needed them shaped. He continued to file down my nails ridiculously short. No proper cuticle trim was done. My nails look great besides how short they are!!

This Spa is always so clean & the employees are friendly. The atmosphere is relaxing. Anna is exceptional and she has been giving me pedicures for many years. She has NEVER cut or hurt me while working on my nails. I can not say the same for some of the other spas. I moved from Durham but continue to drive there for my pedicures. It is certainly worth the 1 1/2 hours drive.

The people who work there are nice and friendly, however their prices are VERY high. I was unaware of the price I paid for something until after the service was received. It would be nice to see the prices posted somewhere visible. It would also be nice if they spoke English all the time and not communicated in their native tongue, it can be uncomfortable at times. The quality of their work is great, though.

I had Julie do my nails several times and she did a wonderful job. It was clearly the best manicure I have ever had. She is pleasant; the shop is immaculate; and she gives you a pleasant shoulder back rub in addition to your manicure. In addition, they offer you all kind of beverages including wine.I have already recommended this shop and Julie to others.

I LOVE THIS PLACE and it is the ONLY place I will go. My sister and I have both been here twice and LOVE it. It is not like your typical nail salon with women yelling in foreign languages and it reeks of acrylic. This place is clean, quiet and relaxing. It does cost a little more but you are paying for the ambiance. The technicians are wonderful and very attentive to detail and speak better English than any other place I have been. Also my polish lasts for a long time and looks great!

I walked in, and picked out a lovely light pink color. then i was seated. waited 25 minutes until a guy who worked there came up to me. he took the polish without saying a word and gave it to someone else who came right after me. so i picked out another color and the lady rushed taking 10 minutes. the polish was patchy and chipped the next day. i will never ever come back to this place. their services are terrible.

I had Peter and it was my first time at Mimis and I have to say what a wonderful experience. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and Peter did an excellent job and will personally ask for him again. Its well worth the money spent. Thanks for the wonderful experience and I will see you again soon.

Not the best experience at this nail salon. My fiancé got a pedicure and was complaining of his toes burning and I just thought he was being dramatic,she cut his toes and then poured alcohol on the wounds he showed me his feet afterwards and I was in shock. I will be calling salon and asking for a refund. On top of all this the nail tech completely did not understand what I wanted even after showing her a picture I ended up have to have all the nails removed and leaving without my nails done,there was miscommunication which is fine but just turned a relaxing experience with my fiancé to a not so relaxing time, but this pedicure is Unacceptable I cannot believe that i paid for this.

I got a pedicure and full set for my wedding next week. I was a walkin since I unexpectedly had time and the service was lovely. They were very accommodating when I wasnt sure about what color I wanted exactly and I was promptly offered a tea/soda/wine one in the chair for my pedi. Ive already gotten three compliments this afternoon on the ombre design!

I have been coming here for many years. Not once have I ever left the salon feeling disappointed. I absolutely love the atmosphere and the service. I try to go in when Marilynn is working because she is absolutely THE BEST! And even when shes not there, I still get excellent service from all the other technicians. Ive gone to other salons just to see what they can offer me but nothing compares to what MiMis gives me. Definitely sticking to this salon now and always!

I really want to like this place because it is so close to me. But I will not give any more money to them. The quality of their gel for gel nails is awful - it doesnt last long and chips every time. Last time I went, I asked for a gel manicure and they suggested something new that wouldnt hurt my nails and costs the same amount. I decided to go for it. it was $15 dollars more with no cuticle care or hand massage. I am constantly displeased with their service and will never go back.

Its a very beautiful place to get nails done, and the staff are very friendly.

If you do not have any issues with your toenails or feet i.e. bunions, thick nails, corns, calluses this is the place to go. They do not take time to try to cut thick nails. The thin nails will be shorter than the thick one. Basically she just overlooked it then came back to file the nail down, my callus and my corns with a white emory board. I had to ask twice to cut that nails down shorter to match the rest of my toes.. I have cut that nail at home.I have gone to another salon that was able to cut it but everyone was full today. Anywho, you will be offered a beverage and the music here is very relaxing. You cant go wrong with the foot and leg massage.

I love this salon and the customer service. However, they rip off customers. I had heard about salons not posting prices so they can charge customers that look like they have money more. I didnt believe it because it just sounded unethical but low and behold I feel its true at this location. I have SNS with gel polish ( no dip colors) and I wanted a fill in and a little trim and polish. I was happy to be taken straight back with no wait. That was a plus. Normally when you ask for a cut down you do get charged for it but they also ask you how far do you want them trimmed down. My guy took my nails all the way down while I was looking for a polish color. Fast forward ..my nails looked nice I go to pay and was charged $55. The link I found said the re fill for SNS was $35 . Ok Im aware of a cut down fee but I was also charged a fee for shape...Im sorry but in all my life getting my nails done I have never been charged a shape fee. So what shape is a free shape?? I was very thrown off by this. Really made me wonder is it any truth to this whole nail profiling bs.

I WAS a repeat customer here but never again! I went in for a mani/pedi with the same young woman who normally does them. She completed my pedi told me to go to her mani station when the owner stops her and points to another client who just walked in and tells the girl :she next:. So I sit at her station watching as my nail person begins to give the new customer a pedicure!!! All the other nail techs we either just starting new clients on in the middle of there service. So Im supposed to wait?? I got up paid for my service and left for good. Horrible way to treat a long time well tipping customer!

I was looking forward to a relaxing manicure and pedicure after a long week. That was not what I got when I went to Mimis. My technician rushed the whole time so it was not only not worth what I paid but also a stressful experience. Ive gotten hundreds of manicures and pedicures and this is one of the worst. She spent a few seconds scrubbing and massaging my feet/legs with very little effort. Everyone knows thats the best part of the pedicure so I was very disappointed. She also rushed taking off my polish and accidentally splashed acetone on me. She then procedeed to rush through the manicure making my gel times 45 seconds versus the standard 60. This will be the last time I visit Mimis and spend my hard earned money for a rushed, subpar mani/pedi.

I just sat in a chair for 30 minutes in cold water, after waiting for 15 minutes to get a chair, only to have no one talk to me and start on several clients who had just walked through the door. I will not be going back.
