The employees that work here are the best. They are professional, concerned and kind. Their boss, Dan, is ready to lend a hand and resolve issues when needed. I give a thumbs up to the exemplary customer service!
Their physical infrastructure monopoly allows this corporate predator to provide disorganized service at best. Expect clueless robotic staff who can only fumble through rote procedures. They do not want to hear your story or help resolve the big-picture problem when things get difficult.
They got me hooked up super fast and the self install kit was way simple and a pretty quick process.

What can you say, its Spectrum. Run a constant (router based) VPN so they cant spy on you and you have some reasonably priced cable.
It was very easy to set up both TV and internet. Soon After that we discovered the ATROCIOUS quality of Spectrum TV. We have experienced so many issues, including many many shows recorded onto DVR being unwatchable, because they freeze every few seconds, incorrect shows recording, live programs freezing constantly and many times it is not possible to use the standard remote control functions, while watching live TV. We called Spectrum support, and they give the same unhelpful answer every time. Just unplug for 10 seconds and reboot. This works for about an hour before all the same issues occur. We have now realized that it would be SO much BETTER to drop cable, and purchase our desired subscriptions. This will also almost completely eliminate all of those awful ads.

Nice new office in Durango. I love that I can get 400 megabit bandwidth for only $20 extra per month (with an upgraded modem). I prefer Spectrum to Comcast.
Cable TV in the Durango area has been prone to more outages than we have had in other areas of the US, but they have been fewer and shorter with Spectrum. That’s good. But this company is the only one offering high speed internet and land line phone service in much of the Durango area.Now here’s the problem. There was an internet and phone outage in much of the Durango area today. It was only about two hours, but when it was over, we discovered that all our passwords into internet channels (including Spectrum’s own) had been lost. My wife has been working to enter new passwords for a couple of hours. She isn’t totally literate about this digital stuff, and I am totally ignorant of it.So if Spectrum has a outage that, for any reason, destroys access to content that is the reason we subscribed to internet, shouldn’t Spectrum send a tech out to restore what we are paying for?
Spectrum cable internet, for $45 for the first 12 months, is only OK. Not the best internet considering it is basic cable, especially at $60. The serious problem for me was frequent hidden fees and terrible customer service. If I hold for an hour I might get a late fee canceled if I am persistent. Customer service refused to stop sending me weekly junk mail. I had a technician install a new cable at the house, and he said the fee would be waived, which it was not and I was unable to waive it.REVIEW EDIT:I returned my equipment at the walk-in store in Durango. The folks there were cool and easily helped me out. It is obvious to me that corporate Spectrum has some bad problems, whilst LOCAL Spectrum technicians and customer service representatives care about their customers. Thank you locals!!!Cannot do 5 stars because of corporate Spectrum.
