We have been with this company for over two years now and we have continued to receive sub par internet that continues to disconnect or have such low levels of connectivity that it is basically useless. we pay for the 15mb plan and yet they have only been able to provide that level of service when I call to upgrade the service hoping that we would have a greater level bandwidth to fall back to yet what they give us is less than 3mb at best. I have called almost 40X and now they simply say that they can not do anything about the problem and they also have never been apologetic about the subpar service nor ever provided us with a refund for the lack there of service. if we had any alternative for better service we would use it but there simply is no option. we live in gem village and they say and I am quoting them you will have to deal with the bad service or leave but no offering of any kind of remedy or solution to retain us as customers so if there was a way to provide 0 stars we would. we definitely would never recumbent this service provider.
I have always had a really good experience with Aligntec and where I live it is hard to get good, reliable internet. It is a type of microwave signal so you have to have direct line of sight in order to use it but I have had very few issues. When I have had issues, Aligntec has gotten someone out to service my house within 24 hours and has fixed the problem. Their employee Alex was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! I would 100% recommend!
The customer service of AlignTec is above and beyond. I put in a support ticket just before 9pm in hopes that it would get read before my 8:30am meeting the next morning. Not only did they call me at about 9:27, the tech walked me through how to log in to my router and fix what had been reset by a power outage. I have used them for years at two different house and have always been pleased!
I have been trying to speak with someone, anyone for a week and a half that can explain how my internet will be fixed. Hours on the phone daily with some call center that actually say nothing can be done. Well, yes there is, its called finding a new company. By the way, I have been a client for years and remember when you could actually talk to a technition. Who ever decided a call center that does nothing would make anyone happy should rethink that position.Update, 10/30/20After speaking with the team at Align Tec, problems were addressed at both ends of the communication chain. Happy to say that after making contact, the team was very responsive and sent one of their qualified Techs to deal with the problem late in the day. Thank you for your help!
I just got my internet service connected this afternoon, and so far, I am in love with the speeds, compared to the past company we were with! The guy that installed our service was very nice and professional! Very impressed so far! Thank you!
Awesome customer service! Kerry was super helpful and knowledgable. She spent a great deal of time informing me about services and how the Align Tech infrastructure works. Great Durango local company. Highly recommend giving them a shout!
Still have the service for almost 2 years. Very stable, never any issues. Always the same speed up and down. Great staff.
Love these guys! I’ve been with these guys for 3 years and have nothing but good things to say about the service and the folks who run Aligntec. They are even putting up brand new dishs at both the landlord and I’s house’s! I couldn’t be happier, with the upgraded high end premium package all my internet needs are covered. Hands down the best option for internet here in Bayfield.
I can’t even tell you how professional this company is! We were having trouble with our internet and they came out right away and helped walk us through the problem and showed us how to fix it. They spent time explaining to us how we can prevent it in the future. I would recommend them to everyone I know
Got right back to me when our connection was lost. Told me what to do, stayed on the phone with me until the problem was resolved. Very knowledgeable and friendly people and good service.
We have only had Aligntech for a few days but we are extremely happy thus far! We got the 50mb plan and this is great internet. Last night we streamed Game of Thrones in HD quality with absolutely no buffering.! We cancelled our Hughesnet Satellite service which buffered the same GOT continuously in only SD quality. Absolutely no difference than in town. If you are out in the country and can see one of their towers - this is the way to go.
This service is great!!! Ive been a customer for almost half a year and i can say without a doubt, after several other terrible ISPs in my area, im extremely satisfied with the service and will continue to use it.
This company is disappointing. They charged my card out of the blue of a charge they forgot to charge me for. They didnt contact me. They didnt warn me just took 25 bucks out of my account because they had my card on file so they thought they would use it whenever they wanted to. That was how my experience started. Then, I work from home and had connection issues for 3 days. Even though I paid full price for internet I was getting 25% use. They supposedly fixed it and said if it happens again call, even after hours. Well, it didnt fix it, my connection got even worse. So I called the after hours. Waited over a half hour, called again and finally someone called me back. Clay was the rude techs name. He had no understanding for my stress not being able to reliably work for three days. He had an attitude from the beginning, my guess is he was perturbed that I called twice but again, I am in the middle of working. Which I had to stop and miss deadlines. He then suggested that it was my printer causing the issues! Whaaattt!!!! My little home printer...please stop it. So after refusing to reconfigure my printer to print over the internet he said I needed to disconnect my printer from the wi-fi. I told him that if someone cant use a home printer with your internet service you should have told me that when I told you I had a home office. I apologized for being stressed and not happy but dip into your paycheck for 3 days and see how it feels. I reminded him that customer service is a part of the job so it would be nice if he could try using a little understanding. He then told me that he was done offering me customer service today and hung up the phone. No issues fixed, no bandwidth, I disconnected my printer like he said because it was such a problem for their internet. Still no decent connection and now I cant work. Day 3 of disrupted or no work because of Aligntec but we can be sure I was charged full price for dicey or no internet and a rude tech that hung up on me and caused me to miss work. Im just going to say...shop around before you make this decision if you have the opportunity. I had more reliable internet hotspoting my mobile phone! Are there minus stars?
Arriving in Durango, my small family had to stay with my in-laws for a few months until we were able to close on our Durango home. When we first arrived, the internet service my father-in-law had subscribed to was HughesNet satellite service. At the first of the month when the new billing cycle started, it worked quite well, but after my young brother-in-law had streamed YouTube and played Minecraft for a day or two, he had already chewed through the data cap and all service was throttled to nearly unusable speeds for the remainder of the month. We quickly realized that this satellite solution was not going to be sufficient for me to use professionally as a remote tech worker, so I began looking into alternatives up on the Mesa. Talking with other folks nearby, it sounded like the alternatives were HighSpeed4U and a wireless offering from Brainstorm via ForeThought. I fortunately knew someone with both offerings so I was able to go by and work at their space for a day to kick the tires on them both. After using them for several hours I felt like they might be superior to the HughesNet alternative at their data bucket price point, but I wasnt excited enough to talk my father-in-law into paying $500 up front for the one year commitment of HS4U and the ForeThought service was only able to offer 3Mbps at their location.Going into that weekend I had basically just resigned myself to upgrading my cellphone LTE service to unlimited and attempting to use that until I was able to start shopping around for services available at my new home. Fortunately I ended up in a poker game at Sky Ute where another tech worker happened to be playing and he told me that I should look into AlignTec and SkyWerx. After a little research, I understood that AlignTec was partnered up with SkyWerx and they offer their LTE services. In addition to LTE, they have point-to-multipoint offerings on their own network using 802.1X. I contacted them immediately on behalf of my FIL and within 48 hours they completed a site assessment. Line of site for the 802.1X offering was out of the question, but LTE was available at 5/1Mbps or 10/2Mbps. We figured it was best to start with 5/1 and go from there. This package ended up being perfect for the needs of that household and I was able to reliably use it for work, even though there was a little more latency over LTE I was still able to use remote services with minor lag and annoyance. Streaming HBO Go, YouTube, Netflix and AmazonPrime via a small FireTV device worked perfectly for duration of our stay. The service worked so well, the HS4U user, which happened to be my brother and sister-in-law down the road, immediately dropped their service and had AlignTec installed within a week of seeing how well it performed.Im now in my own home and have used the 802.1X offering at 7Mbps for well over 6 months now. During that time Ive been very impressed with the lower latency compared to the LTE offering that I had used at my in-laws. For my work use, Im 100% satisfied and its typically pretty decent for entertainment as well. There have been a few issues crop up during peak traffic hours (9-10pm MT) when most folks are likely trying to watch their stories before bed. In those instances, Ive followed the very succinct instructions that support has offered, so that they can get a reliable report while eliminating all the devices that might be chattering on your home network. With those incidents, the staff has gone above and beyond by logging in late at night from home and working with me until they had exhausted the troubleshooting possible during the problem window. For my connection, Im pointing at Smelter, which obviously has a lot of other radio traffic and antennas mounted atop. So its understandable that there will be occasional collisions initiated by frequency shifting of other providers. Overall, these guys know what theyre doing and are dedicated to get to the bottom of whatever is causing you to have a poor experience.
