Our first appointment was scheduled between 8-12 last Tuesday. Tech called at 1:30 saying he was on his way. I had an appointment at 2:00 that I was on the way to. He said he would go to the next call and then come back. I contacted Sears to get an updated time, which they told me would be 4:20PM. The guy never showed up. I called to reschedule and they had us wait another week and didn’t offer any apologies or try to get a technician out sooner. The next appointment was scheduled for today from 8-5. How ridiculous to expect people to stay home all day. I reached out twice to get a more specific time, in which both said the technician would call me, which he never did. I have a feeling this is what they tell all customers just to get them to keep waiting. The technician showed up about 2:30 and was finished within an hour. The technician was wonderful. He was very nice and interacted with my 4 year old son very well. He explained what he was doing and was very well mannered. I give the technician 5 stars, but the overall Sears experience 3 stars, as the communication is awful.
The service specialist that came to fix my LG washing machine was kind, patient, knowledgeable and efficient. He was able to complete my repair in a short amount of time, advised me on what to do to get the most life out of my appliance (which no one has ever done) and even helped me make sure that my appliance would be covered for any future problems. I will 100% recommend Sears service to friends for home appliance repairs.
The service order is wrong on your request for review. The review request is for a dryer; the problem is the washer. The technician never showed up. The work was to check the washer for a noise that was not corrected with the previous repair and order a part to fix it. We have been waiting for the washer to be repaired for 5 months. Sears could not locate a motor that was ordered in May. We have the protection agreement on the washer and dryer that is only 4 and half years old. I asked for Sears to provide us with a new washer since it has been so long. After my request the motor mysteriously arrived at our house 2 weeks later. The technician came and replaced the motor. It did not fix the problem. Another tech was scheduled for 8/19/21 between 8am and 5 pm. We received a text around 2pm that he would be here between 3:37pm and 5:37 pm. At 5:22pm we received a text that the service call has been rescheduled for 8/23/21 between 8 am and 5pm. No phone call just a text. No reason was provided for the rescheduled appointment or did it ask if that was convenient for us. So now we have to wait again for the tech to come out check out the washer and order a part and no telling how long we will have to wait for that part to come in and the for another tech to be sent out to repair a washer that has been broken for 5 months. No guarantee it will be fixed then since the last repair didnt fix it. Sears customer service is lacking. I have made numerous calls to customer service to no avail. My calls have been sent to the escallation team three times and I have yet to receive a call back or any resolution. I was offered $100 for my troubles of 5 months of going to a laundromat and borrowing friends appliances which is unacceptable. It should be at least $100/month restitution and a new washer.
If I could rate no stars I would. We purchased a warranty plan through Lowe’s on our dishwasher, and they set up an appointment with Sears to come out and fix it. The technician came assessed the problem and told my husband he would order parts and to call when they come in, he was sending them to our house. He said he would be back with another technician to fix it because it was a hard job. We waited 3 weeks, no parts came in and we called back to see why we haven’t heard anything. When we called the lady told my husband that the dishwasher was over loaded and we caused the damage and they were not going to fix it. I wish I had a picture of that, because there were a few cups and Tupperware containers in there, nothing heavy, you could put any thing heavy because the rack kept falling. He asked to speak to a supervisor and she hung up on him. It was the Memorial Day weekend, so we waited to call back after the weekend and spoke with a supervisor, who told my husband he had been belligerent to the technician and threw him out of our house. We had no conformation with the man, he left and everything was continual. No problems what so ever. Why would we throw someone out when all we want is to get the appliance fixed. This makes no sense and it’s all lies.If we had had an experience like that we would have called the supervisor that morning and made a complaint. We certainly would not have been silent. No one waits 3 weeks to an file a complaint. If that was the case why would we be expecting to receive parts, and waiting all this time for our dishwasher to be fixed. They are rude and liars. They are just trying to get out of the repair because it is an extended warranty the parts are probably expensive and they don’t want to own up to their having to fix it. These parts are all plastic. The aren’t even meant to last. There are no good quality appliance anymore. They are not made to hold up10 to 20 years like in the past. That’s why you gave to buy extended warranties and then they want to give you a hard time about repairing them, 👎. You should be ashamed
Had to re-schedule once because vehicle broke down. Customer service called to tell me. That was understandable. Second time, apparently technician noted he made arrangements with me to re-schedule again which he didnt. That was not. Cancelled the service.
Very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Would highly recommend.
Bradley the repair man was awesome and very knowledgeable. My problem is with the support staff. I had to wait for his first visit for 2 weeks. Then, even though the ordered part arrived in 4 days, I had to wait another 2 weeks. Bradley came out again and was finished replacing the part in just a few minutes. However, just after he left, the mower would not start again. I called the support number to get them to jave him come back. I was told I would have to wait another 2 weeks. He had not been gone 5 minutes. I called his cell and told him what was going on. He was back in 15 minutes. He was great. Mower works fine now. Support service not so much. 5 stars to Bradley. 2 stars to support.
So glad we decided to give them a try. The tech came out and gave a true diagnosis and was able to fix everything right then. If anyone is needing an appliance repair I highly recommend them. Their prices are reasonable as well. Also showed up on time and completed the repair in a reasonable time.
The repairman was very professional when right to work .Got my lawn looking good what can I ask for. GOOD JOB
Ordered parts, arrived with no delay. Just what I needed.
I called Sears on a Thursday and was set up for service for my dryer on Friday between 1-5pm. I race home from work to meet the tech, but he leaves me a voicemail on Friday saying his truck broke down. I called him back but got his FULL voicemail. So I left a text that was also ignored. I was then rescheduled for the following Monday, same window. I race home AGAIN to meet the same tech, but he never called, never arrived. Come to find out, I was rescheduled AGAIN for the next Thursday without my input on the scheduling. Now, I have been inconvenienced TWICE while missing work and I still dont have a working dryer. I called Sears customer service and was told they could not get a tech to me until Thursday and they COULD NOT waive the $69 service fee. This is very unacceptable!! I wish I could give them a ZERO for this experience!!!
Good
Well six months later I get a phone call from a collection agency saying I owed money. Never received a phone call, an email or a piece of mail saying I owed them. The paperwork I had said I had a refund coming back to me. There mistake but I have to pay the price. Will never use Sears again. They absolutely are a useless company and I see why they are slowly going out if business.
Im delighted and satisfied with every aspect of my oven repair by Sears Appliance Repair. It was easy to schedule the appointment online and I was able to have my oven repaired the same day I contacted them. The repairman was good about communicating when (a 2 hour window) he would arrive and calling again when he was on his way. He was professional, competent and efficient. He was also pleasant, but not too chatty. He had the part he needed with him and correctly repaired my oven so I could use it that day. He was also clear about giving me an estimate of charges and then sticking to that when it was time to pay. No last minute surprises or confusion. I paid him directly and got a printed receipt. I would use this repair service again in the future and recommend it to others.
Would have given a 5 however vendor called only when our window of 8am to noon had already passed, it would have been great to know during out window that vendor was going to be late. Great service on the repair.
Douglasville Sears had the lowest of 3 quotes from appliance repair in Douglas County ...they sent a professional & experienced technician the next day (my 2nd lowest quote had a 4 day wait) ... He arrived in uniform on time; answered questions; fixed the Maytag wall oven; and cleaned the area before leaving...I would use them again
Repairman was top notch! Quick, easy and painless! In home repair - the whole reason I use Sears! Got a call that he was on his way. He got right on it and found the problem. All good now. Thanks.
Our technican Jonathan H. arrived and was very polite. He interacted with my four year old who was very interested in what he was doing. He did his check of our appliances and informed us of what needed repair. Since it was a warranty service call and he didnt have to inform me of a future problem that could occur, he did and repaired our drive belt. That was very honest and very ethical. He is an asset to your company. You should be proud.
4 tech visits so far and still not fixed. Different person every time. This is painful. Sears used to be so very good. Looks more and more like the beginning of the end.
My husband was more than pleased with the gentleman and his knowledge that he shared about the dishwasher and maintenance. He was friendly and patient. We would highly recommend him and feel confident about his ability and being in our home. Thank you.
We have been dealing with the same issue from May and it’s now July still not fixed. The first technician that came out broke our ice maker and it still doesn’t work. I had one of the technicians call me and was very unprofessional. I would never use this company again.... This has been one of the worst experience I had with a company. I have called in several times for help and I’m not getting anywhere with them.
Kevin, was great! Didnt take him long to get things done.Sears should consider having smaller appointment times. As 8am to 5 pm is someones whole day possible gone... 4hours would be a reasonable time.
Dissatisfied! The tech was over his head. He called for assistance and discussed frozen tubing to the ice maker with the person he called. Typed some stuff in his computer and printed me a bill. He did not explain or discuss what was wrong just said it should work fine now. Today is 8-15-16 and Im still waiting. I expect better from you Sears
I will never contact Sears for anything again.I was treated like an unwanted problem and my requests for a manager or supervisor went unanswered or the manager would not care enough to handle the situation in a way that honored my patronage. Sears used to be a great place to shop but that is the past. I tried not to give you even one star but I had to in order to post my horrific experience with your sub par customer service, your total apathy for the customers needs and cares and also your lack ability to truly provide the services that you claim to offer.
Not happy. I had a Kenmore Elite dryer, purchased in 2009. I was going to buy another dryer, but I was told that since I purchased the dryer from Sears, I should call to see if they can fixed it. The technican came twice and did not fix the problem, and every time he came out, l had to pay $79 plus the cost to fix the problem. Problem was, the dryer would not start. The first time, it was the sensor, and the second time, he removed the element, (found out later the element has to do with heating of the dryer). My dryer heated fine. Paid over $300 (would have been more, but l had a 20 percent off coupon)between myself and my husband, along with $39 to do a diagnostic test on my washing machine. To say Im pissed off, is an understatement. I had to purchase a dryer from Home Depot for over $500. I will never use Sears Appliance Repair again.
Not good. It took 3 weeks to get the part and install it. Fix my Appliance did not communicate with me. When I would call about it I would get a different story or they would say they would call back and would not. I have always been satisfied with Sears and the service I received. Not this time with the company used.
Very please with the service
Very nice repairman. Did excellent work. Pleased with his caring professional attitude
Very good. On time, called to confirm his appt and finished quickly. Totally satisfied would use you again.
Do not use Sears will charge you a service repair visit each time despite paying to fix your issue. Why are customers paying for service visits when you misdiagnose the issue. You can see why Sears is going out of business.
I was very satisfied with my service, the technician called ahead of time when he was on his way... very pleased.
Excellent service Dishwasher working fine. Very pleased with the repair and service.
My washer was damaged by a moving company. Temperature knob and supporting stem were ripped completely off. It is now repaired!
The service to our LG washer was completed after ordered parts arrived. The serviceman was prompt, polite, and took care to be clean and tidy.
The dishwasher was repaired correctly and there are no more problems. The repairmen are very nice.
This was the third repair tech visit we have had (dryer non operational since Dec 1, 2016 - the repair date Jan 20, 2017) in 51days and it still wont run. The tech pressed each cycle button to affirm they worked but didnt try waiting and watching to see if each cycle functioned. He replaced the front control panel and main wiring harness and told us we had a brand new dryer. I did express my frustration due to the wait time to get repairs and he told me he could have made 4 repair visits in his home town (about an hour north of us) in the time it took him to drive to our house to work on our dryer. When I asked why SEARS wouldnt allow urgent work Ins due to their schedule he told me that he wasnt gonna work past 6:00PM! I got other things to do is kinda how he phrased it. Im a retired physician and when I told him that I worked in every patient who called or walked in - even when my schedule was booked - and that I never had to reschedule any already scheduled patients, well he just sneered and went back to doing what he was already doing.Anyway, we ran a small 30 minute cycle that evening but the next morning, couldnt even get any of the cycles to function nor would any LED lights come on. Dryer was dead on the floor AGAIN!We have a Kenmore Elite smartheat Quietpack 9 HE4 about 5-6 years old.Dont mind SEARS products but their customer service SUCKS! MINIMUM wait time for a home repair appt of 10 days is just unacceptable.
The repair was what I expected from the technicians. Both were very friendly and professional, knew what they were doing. The only issue I have is with Sears scheduling: Two weeks from the initial call till the first technician came. Lesson learned, check the parts that get mailed to you to make sure they are not broken in shipment. My luck, one was and the technician did not have one on the truck so it had to be reordered and schedule another appointment. This one three week out for repair.I lucked out as they had an opening and my appointment got moved up to less than a week. If the schedule had not changed I would have been without my washing machine for 5 weeks.
Overall the experience was good. The only thing that I have serious heartburn with is the scheduling. Requiring a 4 hour window to wait for a technician is absurd. I had to take a half day from work to sit around and wait.. That is not good!!
Kevin is a wonderful service person he comes on time, he knows how to fix it right and is very kind and friendly kevin is a blessing to your company
Sears has been out several times on our refrigerator for the same problem and its still not fixed. The temp. has to be on a colder setting. NOT THE NORMAL SETTING. When I pay for something I want it to work correctly. We are a long time customer of Sears and are very disappointed.
Repairman called ahead, showed up on time correctly identified the problem, corrected the problem, cleaned up afterward. Great service by a friendly professional person.
Great service - came when expected, were very efficient and pleasant.
5 technicians have been out and none have fixed the problem. Now waiting for the 6th technician to come and see what he will not fix!!
Washer was not repaired on second visit. Parts that were ordered were delivered broken and second repairman said it was a two person job that it would have to be rescheduled. Very unhappy.
Steve was on time and updated me on my backordered part. He did a great job.
Made appointment and had a 4 hour window and before they come they call. When they get here they check out the appliance and if they find something wrong they fix it.Very happy with Sears home Service
Horrible brought a new Kenmore microwave from there and it will not heat...has a 1 year manufacturing and no one would help even after I called Kenmore..Did not even have the appliance for 30 days.
Still working on problem, but we have had no problem with the service.
Firstly I am not Chey Chandler, my name is Paula Fudim. The gentleman arrived when he said he would. He fixed the problem in a timely fashion.
The technicians went above and beyond what needed to be done to fix my dryer.Thank you guys!
Came on time did a great jod
The technician did nothing other than tell me to defrost my refrigerator. Had someone told me that when I initially called in it would have saved all of us a lot of time and money.
I have had this washer for 4 years now and had countless repairmen out to fix it and it still isnt working correctly. It shakes and rattles and moves all over the place. The reapir people keep saying its normal for this model. I dont believe that.
Had a bump in the road with having to wait for parts to arrive but when they did the tech came out as scheduled did the repairs. My mower runs and operates like it did when it was new! Kudoos to the tech!!
On time, knowledgeable, took care of the problem, would use again!
Repair seemed to go well but we had to schedule a follow up because the ice maker still doesnt work.
Service person knew what the problem was and fixed it in short period of time
Excellent, efficient customer service!!!
Repair person was prompt and knowledgeable
