Possibly the best customer service I have ever experienced. From the minute I first called them, I felt confident that I was in good hands. The owner and his wife are involved, dedicated, and extremely knowledgeable about their trade and the unique install needs in the community where I live. Stellar communication and professional workers, from the office, to the owner who personally came out to assess the job, to the person who set up my portable loaner, to the phenomenal install team who moved in for the day and moved out without a trace of ever being here...other than a brand new system and house that is nice and cool as we head into summer. One of the team members was so proud of the work he did that he took photos and commented that his wiring was some of the best he has ever done. How can I not be completely satisfied with this experience?

Dobbs HVAC was recommended to me by my contractor when I needed to replace my old HVAC system during remodeling. I was put on the schedule in a timely manner. When Keith came out to give me a recommendation, he did a thorough review of my home including heat load measurements, checking out my attic and windows and basement. In the process he gave me recommendations to save money on my power bill, which I have since implemented. The technicians who did the install were polite, worked hard the whole time they were here, and left things cleaned up after they finished. I couldn’t be more pleased with my new system and my lower bills. I also use Dobbs for routine system checkup twice a year, which the office calls to schedule automatically. Tracy is so friendly and on top of things. The one time I had to call on the weekend, the phone was answered by a real person right away, and a technician was able to talk me through how to take care of my issue (which was mainly due to my not being familiar with the system). I highly recommend Dobbs HVAC.

Hurricane caused trees to come into my bedroom, allowing it to rain, not only in the room but into my vents. For the past two months I’d been smelling something that most likely was mold. They had a specialist assess the problem and a technician was out the next day. The receptionist was really nice and hands on with getting me taken care of.

I always love doing business with Dobbs HVAC, they take good care of us and keep our home cooked and heated when needed. They can be thoroughly trusted as the owners are amazing people and the staff follows suit. We have been using them for years and the service has never wavered. You know who you can call for any HVAC needs as well as duct and vent needs.

They did a thorough job of the furnace and tested almost all components of the furnace to make sure we can keep warm this winter! They will come out in April to check the AC for its use come next summer

Comfort care specialist Kahlil was professional, and helpful in answering questions. I felt like he was reasonable in any pricing information he gave and was excellent in explaining rationales about the problems with our AC. Unfortunately our AC needs to be replaced but again, Kahlil was helpful in giving us information on Dobbs’ options and opportunities. We have another appointment on Thursday to get pricing information for a new system. I’ll update this afterwards.

On a Saturday, I was sitting outside on my back deck and noticed my Unit sounded funny. I went to inspect and found the fan not spinning. Turned off the unit and started it up to see if it fixed itself, unfortunately not. Looked up a heating and air in Douglasville, saw Dobbs and called them first. My only call. They picked up and sent Johnathan out. Called at 5:30, he was done at 6:45pm. They are affordable and awesome knowledge! Do yourself a favor and call them!

Technician was on time and friendly. They were here to do a tune up but they were unable to because the transformer and control board needed to be prepared first. He spent a long time inspecting the heater to ensure he knew what was wrong.

The technician showed up early, which is great. Plus with the on the way notice, I was not surprised by his arrival. Very professional and thorough with the service.

Last summer, Dobbs installed a new A/C unit and furnace in my house. Today, Brad came to inspect my furnace (regular maintenance), and he said everything looked great. He did not rush through the service (I could tell he was very thorough). He was extremely personable and knowledgeable. I decided to choose them because they had really good reviews and it sucks that i can not do the same. the guy that came seemed like he was doing a tune up vs troubleshooting then he tells me he does not have much experience. i was like really???? this is what i am paying for???? then he was more interested in selling me a unit vs repairing mine which i need to state my unit is in good condition and is under warranty . i will say he was very processional and a nice person but all that went away when i could tell he just wanted to leave because it was his girlfriends birthday and he was suppose to take her out for dinner sorry but not acceptable and will never contact them again.

There was an initial miscommunication that led to Our first appointment being cancelled and a no call from the service tech. After I left an honest review, I received a call from Keith (the owner) personally, apologizing for the error and that theyd love to make it up to me. Through no fault of their own, the process has extended weeks, but Im now on a first name basis with their staff and Chris came to service my unit today. As a small business owner, Id like to think I have a good idea of how customer service should be, and Dobbs has exemplified that. Chris was great, Tasha was great, Keith was great, and Ill be recommending them to anyone in need of service.

Honestly after the first visit I gave them 5 stars but after having to deal with them in the long run I’m having to remove stars. I was quoted a price for the job I thought I was getting done. I didn’t realize the quote was an old quote and I don’t know enough about ducts to understand the quote wasn’t for the job I was wanting. They had to draw me up a new quote on the spot that was $600 over what I was expecting which is very hard around the end of the year. They picked up most of the big pieces but small debris was left in my kids’ play room and my baby’s bedroom. Starting to become very disappointed and with such a hefty price tag I do expect more.Update: I spoke with one of the sweet customer service ladies that work in the office. She apologized for all the miscommunication. I appreciated the honesty and willingness to take responsibility for what happened. I felt the need to come back and update my review because they did reach out to me.

Keith came out to our house 3 times to help us understand our needs and ease our concerns about every aspect of our entire system upgrade to include ducting!!! (see picture below...thats what came out!) Since we had this done, its been a year now, our home more comfortable and QUIETER and our monthly energy bills are lower...actually lower than we expected. Keith Dobbs of Dobbs Heating and Air, Inc. impressed me with his thorough examination of the job and detailed plan for replacing my heat pump. He included many things, I feel are important to the system, that none of the other companies, that came out to give me a quote, even mentioned. Anthony was on time. Actually called and asked if he could show early which was great. After the inspection he told me everything he did. He described what he checked and the results. Very courteous. He reset the thermostats when he finished.

While they were able to come out the same day to look at my heater, the tech found one problem and didnt seem to look for anything else that could have been an issue. I was informed my coils were dirty and needed cleaned. However they said if theyre rusted they wont clean them, but I would still have to pay them for removing the heater and draining it. I called my home warranty and they sent out another company. The guy servied my heater and informed me that coils would only be rusted if there were a leak (there is no leak). My unit has been working fine, the 2nd tech said it could have shut off the one time due to not being used for a year. The tech from Dobbs did no mention the rust would be related to a leak, just said that its dirty and if theres rust they wont clean it. The dobbs tech wouldnt service the unit either. The earliest they would come back to clean the coils would be a couple days later and it would be over $800. My unit is now working without issues and coils are still dirty as when the Dobbs tech was out.

I feel the company has excellent service. Im not sure about the pricing because i didnt shop them. They didnt give me any crap about my unit being 26 years order and just fixed the problem. It works fine now. From what I hear, a lot of A/C companies DO NOT like to work on really old units. My mom just used Dobbs to replace her unit and was very pleased also. They will defiantly be my first choice when i do replace the A/C unit.

Keith spent a large amount of time with me directly, prior to a full HVAC installation during the planning phase. He provided multiple options with varying price points & efficiencies, along with talking me through accurate expectations of how each would differ. During the planning, I also received two other quotes from other companies, and can honestly report that Keith provided the most clarity overall. I feel that after all work was completed, I was provided a very accurate quote, and have zero concerns over pricing. Keith was able to design a system that resolved my concerns with my original system - allowing the upstairs of my home to maintain a very cool temperature. Also, the installation techs were extremely professional and constantly cleaned during the install; placed everything where it originally was prior to install. Very, very pleased with Dobb’s service and equipment... fantastic company and equipment!

We have been using Dobbs HVAC for quite a few years for our rental home as well as our home. They have provided fantastic, timely and most of all HONEST service each and every time.In our rental home, the rental agency sent an HVAC Repair company and they diagnosed that we needed to replace one AC Unit (told compressor is shot, and refrigerant is low) move a duct and re-calibrate a thermostat (it was a digital thermostat!). We immediately called Dobbs, a bill that was well in the thousands was a simple relay that cost us less than $100.In my home, I had them come check and they found low refrigerant. I told them I would consider replacing/upgrading the system. They explained to me why the best decision would be to repair a leak and buy me some more time instead of forking up money prematurely for a system that runs otherwise well. That was years ago, and looking back it was a great decision.
