I’ve been a resident for a little over two years and I’ll be the first to admit I had my share of issues, but since Cortland took over it’s been night and day. Things are actually getting fixed, problems are getting resolved and communication nightmares are a thing of the past. The location is great and is within walking distance of tons of restaurants, coffee shops, bars and shopping - and the neighborhood is quickly expanding. The apartments are reasonably priced and amenities are good. I cannot stress enough how much of a difference the new management has made in less than a month. Keep it up and thank you!
I like this place a lot, so I’m staying for another year. I was really stressed out when it came time to move to a new unit. The good news is that this place is under a new management company entirely. Eve, who manages the front office was so kind and helpful in making sure that the process was as smooth as possible.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 starts is due to the fire alarms sounding randomly. Otherwise we LOVE this apartment. Well maintained, beautiful, the views are incredible and the convenience of the location is next to none.
While the individual apartments are nice and comfortable, the community maintenance and amenities are lacking. The pool filtration has not been turned on all summer. The pool is constantly filled with hair, leaves & who knows what else. The hot tub was broken for over a year filled with green slimy water. The hot tub was finally filled in to make way for the “new fire pit” which has yet to be installed. Instead a gas pipe is sticking out of the cement for children and pool goers to stub their toes on or trip over. Ripped pool furniture. Trash cans by the pool with no bags in them overflowing and unemptied. Constant packages being stolen from the garage and left out in the open when delivered. The garage door is frequently broken and remains open so anyone in the community can walk right in and take said packages. The fire alarms falsely go off multiple times a week. Residents are so used to them that they don’t exit their homes. Hopefully there isn’t a real fire ever, no one will know the difference.
RUN! This place and the staff that works here are nightmares and go out of their way to make tenants feel uneasy. I had lived here for two years- one extra only due to covid. First starting with the management- which is constantly changing. The office is only open when they feel like it and emails/phones are never answered. Get ready to send 3-4 emails before you get a response from anyone and when you do, they are unhelpful and cold. Management talks down to you and disregards any claims that are made that would involve them having to do their job.Dont even get me started with the ongoing issues with apartment itself and service requests. The building reeks of trash, as it can go up to a month before being collected in the main trash room- but you are charged for that. If you want anything fixed in a timely manor- that wont be happening. The apartments and appliances are falling apart. We went months in a smoldering apartment with no AC. Sending many service requests to fix and no real solution, until a week before we moved out. Fire alarms go off so frequently that if there was a real fire... lets just hope there isnt, because you probably wouldnt know the difference. The building is advertised as a secure building, but the gates dont all lock. There have been numerous homeless people who frequent the stairwells doing drugs. This was something I personally mentioned to management and they brushed it off.Just when we thought we have finally escaped, today I received a phone call from a debt collector trying to collect owed money This was news, as we voiced our one concern in the apartment being our carpets since we lived there for two years. The gentleman who did our walk through said, You wasted your time shampooing them. This is old carpet, we have to replace since youre lived here for so long. This is normal wear/tear. Apartment looks great! Youre good Apparently not.Do yourself a favor and do your research before considering this apartment building. There are plenty of better options with a team who values residents and proper living conditions.
Chris Gilbow is an amazing maintenance professional. He truly cares about people and it shows in the work he does. He’s quick to respond and does everything in his power to make sure tenants are taken care of. That man deserves an award and a raise.Thank you Chris! We appreciate you.Tatiana and Pete
Beautiful apartment, great location. Office staff is great Jon was respectful and patient with my apartment search. I had one issue with maintenance shortly after I moved in called the office and Matt was very helpful in submitting a work order and within 20 minutes chris arrived and fixed my issue in 10 minutes. Great place to live and friendly neighbors.
The new community manager, Matt is awesome and has really improved the living experience. Overall, a really nice complex in a great location for a decent price. I enjoy living here!
Great place to live and right next to a up and coming neighborhood. Are fire alarms annoying? Yes but that’s the point is to get you out of a fire safe. There’s 300 apartments here it’s probably going to have an alarm go off time to time. Anyways it’s a great value to location and amenities.
Fire alarms continue to be a frequent issue (3x in the past week). Residents are conditioned by the Colorado Pointe and Highmark Residential Communities to remain in units without concern when alarms sound. In case of a true emergency, this unresolved hazard will be devastating.
Andrew was prompt, professional and had the job. done quickly. Thank yo!
I lived at Colorado Pointe for three years before recently moving and overall had a great experience. I really like the location and the management and staff were fantastic. They were very easy to work with and were always responsive. The maintenance team also was great and addressed any issues that arose promptly and professionally.
We spent 5 years at Colorado Pointe. Here are our pros and cons.Pros:EXCELLENT location - Trader Joe’s, restaurants, coffee shops, Rose Hospital, you name it. Super close to the city, Wash Park, Cheesman Park, City Park...getting to 8th Ave and out of the city took about 15 minutes. Getting to I-25 south down Colorado Blvd took about 15 minutes. Getting to I-70 took about 15 minutes. This place is centrally located to everything. This was my number one favorite part about living at Colorado Pointe.Management (direct management onsite, not necessarily upper management) was always super responsive and helpful. They always made it feel like they were on my level and had my back. They truly care and it shows.Amenities - while the hot tub was closed through all of Covid which was a bummer, the pool area is actually pretty nice and I enjoyed spending time out there. The weekends can get a little crazy, but not too bad. There’s a gym and an updated clubhouse you can rent out free of charge.Parking garage - covered parking was great, especially through winter months. Not having to brush my car off was amazing! We could hardly ever hear our upstairs neighbors and I know we’ve had a few. Sometimes we could hear walking, but we never heard talking or music or their tv in the entire time we lived there.Garden tub = a dreamMaintenance is world class. They are kind, compassionate, and quick to fix stuff. If they need to order parts, they keep you updated on the progress. Our shower pipes froze during a really cold spell, and they let us use another apartment to shower in for a week which was awesome. Kinda weird and felt like college walking down the hallway to shower 😆 but extremely generous. The neighborhood was beautiful to walk. Very family oriented and it always felt safe. I walked a lot during Covid.Cons:The fire alarms. This was probably the biggest downfall. Every management change had a different reason why the fire alarms were going off, but I think they truly believed their reason was the correct reason. We always knew when it was going to go off because our apartment backed up against a stairwell with pipes. Every single time, there would be a loud thud like a pipe was dropping or settling, and then a few seconds later the alarm went off. I communicated this to multiple managers, but I don’t know if they understood what the problem was. I will say, the alarms went off in the colder months more than the warmer months and that’s probably because of how cold it got. I don’t know the solution, but I do know they are trying to get to the bottom of it, which was the case for 5 years. Regardless, they don’t go off as much as some of these reviews say they do. It’s gotten better over the years, but it’s still annoying, especially since the main loud alarm is in the bedroom. If it were in the living room, it would be better and you’d still be able to hear it. Don’t let the alarms deter you though.Apartment location - this is a pro and a con. We lived right by a main door and a stairwell so it was really loud when people ran up and down the stairs, and on weekend nights when people would stand right outside the door and smoke and yell because they were drunk. It’s a younger crowd in this complex so if you’re into that, you’ll love it. If not, maybe don’t live on the first floor. The HUB package lockers - GREAT concept when there are enough lockers to fit all the packages, but packages were often left outside the lockers and the location of the lockers is not secure (it’s in the parking garage). Maybe another set of lockers would help? I’ve only had a couple of stolen packages, but that’s still too many.In conclusion, we really found a lot of happiness living here. It’s apartment living in the city, so of course it’s going to have its noise issues, but I do highly recommend giving this place a shot. With everything at 9CO opening, this location beats out any of the cons in my opinion.
I appreciate you guys taking the time to get the toilet fixed!
Ive been living here over 3 years and I must say the service is very good. Management is always eager to do whatever they can do to help out.Maintenance always does a great and always available on site. If youre looking for a good place to stay that is safe and welcoming, no matter who you are, this is the place to be.
Phil and Chris were prompt and professional. I was remotely teaching my class while they repaired my tub shower and you wouldn’t have known they were in my apartment. The work was done perfectly!Thank you!
Overall thoughts (tldr): Great Location but youre on your own when it comes to managementI lived in Colorado pointe apartments for roughly a year in 2019-220 at the recommendation of friends. The units were recommended to me for its price, proximity to trader joes, city parks and many other amenities. However the complex falls short in many ways and I couldnt recommend it to others unless they knew what they were getting into. Here is why...Con #1: the fire alarm system is broken. You know the mandatory fire alarm system every complex uses? Imagine that going off at all hours of the night with no resolution other than apology emails or points rewards that no one cashes in. Thankfully I missed most of the alarms working long, non-traditional hours but my roommates and friends kept getting bombarded at all times with both the audible alarm and the visual flashes for some time after.Con#2: Site maintenance. I will give thanks and props to the management team for how quickly they produced a new washer and dryer for us when the other unit broke. However the complex failed miserably when it came to snow / ice removal. At one point in the winter, the snow and Ice had built up in the garage door that a high clearance 4X4 vehicle was needed just to get into the complex. My buddy also had his wife slip on the ice and severely bruise / almost break her arm because the ice had built up so heavily which allowed here to slip. The complex response was just to send an email asking residents to be more careful.Con #3: Billing. Closing out my lease was a mess in the leasing process. I tried to pay my last months rent checking out of the complex and was turned away because they wanted to prorate the days (which is good) that we moved out early. However it has been nearly a month after the fact and my old roommate and I have not received any contact from the complex despite their promise to follow up. I also continued to receive energy bills in my name following the move which indicates the landlords did not properly close out my account. My friend also had the complex lose his lease in his moveout process which almost resulted in him getting billed for additional months that he was not going to live in the unit. Month to month options are easy with the autopay when setup but problems seem to arise when one has to deviate for whatever reasonCon #4: the site is not secure. Multiple times I found unit doors propped open and interesting characters walking around the building. While I felt safe at all times, it doesnt make you feel the best when you see gates left for extended periods at a time or stages walking around in the garage regularly.Pro to me are the layout of the complex, location, the covered parking and price. I honestly think this complex has so much potential because of its location and price. I also acknowledge Covid has throw many unforeseen difficulties in things. However many of the experiences that I encountered indicate a management team that is either disorganized or stretched too thin with not enough resources to accurately complete their job. If the complex was to get that support/financing, I know it could be a great living situation for anyone looking to live in the general area
Unit is awesome but one of the amenities I was most looking forward to, the hot tub, has been inactive ever since I moved in (Feb 2020). Love the neighborhood and the price per sqft so def more good than bad but come on man get the jacuzzi working whachu waiting for?
We have just moved here in August of 2019 and love our apartment. it is quiet and perfectly priced for the amount of space we have compared to other communities near by. Yes, the fire alarms have gone off at possibly the worse times of the night on some occasions, but to our understanding there have been valid reasoning for it. we plan on staying for a long time to come and thank you Phil, he takes care of all our minor repairs quickly and professionally. :)
I lived here over a year ago and filled out the paper work (including forwarding addresses) to move out early. I paid the fee, moved, and never heard back. Now a year later, I’m getting collection calls saying I owe more money. The apartment managers never attempted to call me or send me any documentation regarding any more fees owed. I have tried contacting them but have not heard back. Now the collection is on my credit report, and I don’t even know why I owe them money.I read another review on here that described the same situation. Seems like the company likes trying to screw residents by just sending things to collections without even trying themselves. Also yes, the fire alarms go off all the time and always in the middle of the night. There is really high turnover rate for the workers in the office. I’m guessing this company isn’t good to its employees either...
My wife and I moved here due to great central location and affordable rent. Everything presented well at the time we signed our lease. We have been here for almost two years, and have watched the complex maintenance completely deteriorate. The fire alarms go off multiple times per month, and the complex is very slow respond to turn off the alarm. It can take them as long as five hours for them to turn off the fire alarm; most notably on Christmas morning. There has been more than 15 instances in the last year the residents have had to endure this. In some cases, the sprinklers in the garage go off causing substantial ice build up at the entrance of the garage that would rival an off road trail. It has been a nightmare for us to constantly endure. Just scroll through the reviews, and you will see this as a large, persistent issue with no resolve and little correspondence to residents about the true scope of the issue. My wife and I, have also been working management to correct a mistake on our account that has resulted in us being charged an extra $110/mo more than we agreed to. We have corresponded more than 10 times either in person and email over four months with no action taken to resolve the matter dispute being assured it would. The level of unprofessionalism that has taken place here is inexcusable and should not be tolerated.
Maintenance guy Chris and apt manager John were both very helpful and quick to get my Maintenance request completed same day!
Living at Colorado Pointe has been wonderful. The apartments are very nice and at a fair price. The complex itself is very quiet and the neighbors are very respectful. The staff here are very pleasant and easy to work with!
Great location, close to stores. Well maintained and secure. The maintenence guys are great and always find a solution to issues. They work hard at chipping away the ice on sidewalks and entryway to garage. I love living here! Keep up the hard work guys!
I am very pleased with my experience at Colorado Pointe apartments. The building is quiet. The staff is kind and attentive to maintenance and other requests. I enjoy living here.
I went to visit Colorado Pointe was blown away by the warm welcome and professionalism from Michael! He was beyond helpful and friendly during the tour by answering all of my questions and concerns. The property is stunning and central to everything! I recommend those who are thinking of moving or those who live in Colorado to please tour and work with Michael. He was such a pleasure to work with!
I have enjoyed living in this apartment complex because my apartment is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful with all manner of issues. W like the amenities and the covered parking. I feel safe here and that is very important to me.
I want to thank Michael for always being so helpful. He always takes time to make sure there is a solution to everything, handles issues in a professional and quick manner, and really values the relationships he has with his residents! I also need to give a shout out to Steve and the maintenance crew for all that they do as well!
I just moved here from Texas and honestly this is the best move I have ever made. Taylor and Amber did everything possible to make the transition as seamless as possible. They are seriously the sweetest things. They did all of my application process online which was so helpful since I was living out of state. I couldnt suggest this property highly enough to be honest.
Ive been looking for complex with great staff, as well amenities and location. I spoke with Tasia on the phone yesterday and i couldnt have been more confident with my move. She understood all of my situations and is trying to get me in as soon as possible. Will be recommending to friends.
This is an amazing place to live, great location and area. Walking distance to Trader Joes, Starbucks, Einsteins. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. Michael S is very knowledgeable and has great customer service. 10/10 recommend
So far, Colorado Pointe has been a great place to live. Been here one month. Location is fun and a lot of restaurants within walking distance. Management has been very accommodating and Taylor has been very helpful and easy to work with.Downside- trash chute is far from our unit and our neighbors havent been the friendliest.
Since moving into Colorado Pointe in May 2020 I have had a few minor maintenance requests. The guys have always been responsive, professional and friendly.
I actually really enjoyed living here, but have had a very difficult time with the move out process. I never received my statements at move out, and had to call and email multiple times for a couple of months to get them. It took several months to get all the information related to my statements, and the vast majority of my phone calls and emails were never returned or followed up on. The entire process was incredibly unprofessional and handled very poorly.
Only lived here a short time but have zero complaints to date. Tesia and Nicole went above and beyond to make sure we are happy and have really made us feel welcome.
I moved in this summer and have really enjoyed the pool! You can hear your neighbors (above) and sometimes in the hallway BUT its apartment living- and hasnt been excessive to me. The grounds are beautiful- the maintenance team sure takes pride in making sure every hallway looks great! I havent had a problem with fire alarms or parking (as mentioned in previous posts) but I also have a reserved spot (yes, you have to pay extra- its Denver, people!). Overall- 5 stars for sure!
This apartment complex is a very nice place to live. Staff are always very helpful . And when you have a problem in your apartment that needs fixing maintenance is there fast to get the job done . This is the best place I have ever lived .
I have lived at Colorado Pointe for about 6 months now and last night was the 10th night that fire alarms went off. Whatever is causing the fire alarms to malfunction has not been resolved and it doesnt seem to be a priority of improvement for these apartments. Some other issues I have had with this place is the lack of snow removal, items stolen from the parking garage, and machines in fitness room broken (for several weeks, maybe months). These are things Ive addressed with management and have not heard back.(Update: I emailed the owner: Highmark soon after they asked me to. Still no response. Fire alarms are still an issue. They went off atleast three time two days ago. Snow is still not being removed. Fitness room issues are still not resolved.)
FIRE ALARMS! FIRE ALARMS! FIRE ALARMS!If you like fire alarms, this is the place for you!If you have a pet who you want to suffer from anxiety and panic attacks due to frequent, excessive fire alarms, this is the place for you!If you enjoy high pitch, loud, screeching fire alarm sounds day and night, this is the place for you!Fire alarms before breakfast, fire alarms when you come home for lunch, fire alarms to interrupt your good nights sleep!Did I mention the fire alarms?Attention Denver Fire department - nobody goes outside when the fire alarms go off! The fire alarms are routinely ignored
Moved in a few weeks ago and so far I love it. Sam, the leasing agent, was great on my first walkthrough and made me feel at home before I even moved it. The maintenance team was also great. We called in a ticket and they were prompt, professional, and very nice.
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! This apartment is an absolute nightmare and I am seriously considering paying thousands to break my lease ASAP. Overpriced, not safe, rude neighbors and the fire alarm CONSTANTLY goes off in the middle of the night. Management has zero intention of fixing the alarms and you will be rudely awakened multiple times a week to a false alarms. Not only are theses false alarms annoying and dangerous, they set off the sprinkler system in the attic causing a number of problems and leaks. Our ceiling has leaked twice on our bed and there have been at least four massive pipe bursts in the year and half we have lived here. One of these pipes created a huge four foot hole in the ceiling right outside our door and wasn’t fixed for over 4 months. The garage door was also broken for over a month leading to car, bike, and mail theft. Honestly the two maintenance staff members are the only positive thing worth mentioning about this place. THEY ALSO GIVE OUT $5 GIFT CARDS TO CURRENT RESIDENTS WHO LEAVE A 5 STAR REVIEW DON’T BE FOOLED!! Save your time and money and live somewhere else!
Nice place to live. Some friends live here.
The staff is often unresponsive to emails and it takes multiple attempts to have things followed through on. I am worried because the fire alarm will often falsely trigger, one night it went off 3 times. The community has nice amenities and residents are generally friendly.
High rent bad service. They are short in staff. Someone broke into my apartment last year and the administration denied to cooperate with the authorities .They basically told me it was my fault as the place is as safe as its residents make it. This summer I payed an extra month to stay, and still someone broke into my apartment to take the key. He activated the alarm the police came and nobody apologized. Most of times when I went t ok the offices the keep me stranding and just asked, whats going on.
Its great if you like having fire alarms going off at 2 AM on the regular. It has been a nightmare living here. This is my last month and I cant wait to move. The only way for redemption is if they took the price down on my last months rent but knowing how most apartments operate, Im not holding my breath for any retribution.
This place checks all the boxes! Its in a great area, everything is clean and updated, its pet friendly, theres a pool/hot tub/gym/parking garage, and its affordable!
Im in love with this place!! I initially wasnt looking for apartments in this price range, but Taylor talked me into just viewing them, and Im soooo happy she did!! She was professional yet genuine with answering all my questions and trying to accommodate me as best as she could. She is seriously the sweetest and went above and beyond for us! The apartments themselves are extremely spacious, high walls, beautiful kitchen (this was actually my selling point), an amazing bathtub and lots of storage! The apartment can be noisy since its on Colorado but its not too bad when we leave our windows shut. Even though the location is by a busy street, it has so many places to eat and a Trader Joes down the block. You can also figure out the neighborhood streets during rush hour. Its definitely worth the price tag being in denver and all the amazing amenities, cleanliness and excellent staff you get. I am so impressed with this place!
Fire alarm goes off CONSTANTLY in the middle of the night. There was one night I went to sleep that I had to wake up early at 5am to go to work the next day. The fire alarm went off 3 times that night. I only got 2 hours of sleep total, and went to work totally exhausted. Very bad
WORST LEASING OFFICE OF ANY APARTMENT COMPLEX I HAVE EVER LIVED WITH!!!!!!!!! DO NOT move here save your time & sanity and move to any of the recently updated or brand new buildings charging the same rate across the street. I enjoyed living at this complex until they switched management in 2017 then things went completely south. They have the worst move out system of any complex I have lived with, and LOST my 60 day notice multiple times resulting in an eviction notice a week before I was moving out. Took 3 different official documents of my move out notice for them to finally fix the problem on their end. The Staff was still so incompetent they sent my move out bill to the wrong address (had given them the correct address 3 different times on my 60 day notices) resulting in a debt collector calling me informing me of my outstanding invoice with CP that would negatively affect my credit. multiple packages lost when said delivered to leasing office on tracking they were not help whatsoever with locating the package. Never once had an email through the resident portal answered, or any VM left to the leasing office returned. The fire alarm was faulty and would go off at all hours of the night multiple times a week & never acknowledged by staff. The turn over rate in this place is insane not only bc its on the worst street in the state but because the staff hates their jobs and doesnt acre about their level of service. The apartment itself was fine (again cheaper newer buildings out there with better amenities) but the staff in the office made this place a miserable experience 0/10 would recommend
Im staying here on a travel assignment when I arrived to the complex I was impressed with the appearance and the warm greeting from the office staff. Youre walking distance to Trader Joes and Starbucks as well as other food places. Yes youll hear your neighbors above you but its to be expected living in an apartment. Overall 2 👍👍!!
I am active duty military and had to PCS sight unseen across the country and chose this location. I arrived and was immediately impressed with how well kept and nice looking the property was, the apartment looked great and was priced very competitively for the area, Unfortunately I could not move in due to my Dog being extremely needy and it is just a bit too far for me to be able to come home from work to walk him.Overall I was thoroughly impressed with the politeness and understanding of the staff. I would recommend Colorado pointe over any other options in the area especially for military PCSING to this location.
Lived here for two years. Really awful leasing staff. Submitted 60 day move out notice 4 times. They managed to lose it 3 times.
My wife and I lived here for a year. It was amazing. Pool, Gym, Parking Garage. Not to mention all of the appliances were like new. Lots of room as well. Sure you will get the occasional loud neighbor during a friday night but nothing crazy. Plus the location is right next to Trader Joes and tons of restaurants. The one downside is traffic on Colorado Blvd is not fun at 5 pm. So expect to sit a while in traffic if this is when you commute.
Nice layouts, almost got apartments there but decided to buy at Avalon in greenwood valley.
Great staff close to everything. Will miss living here.
Huge building, good location, decent parking.
Interiors look cheap while stupidly expensive. I foresee this place being a ran down property in the long term.
If you like hearing every step from your upstairs neighbor and living in a horribly insulated apartment building in general, then move here. And if you complain about it, then YOU are the problem, not the office and not the noisy neighbors. It is too much to ask for neighbors BE QUIET and BE CONSIDERATE of others. You will wrongfully get accused of harassment if you call the courtesy officer or the cops to ask your neighbors to quiet down. Not only that, but the office will threaten to kick you out for speaking up about the noise. So, basically, people get to do whatever they want, arent asked to quit stomping on your ceiling and the noise is passed off as normal living noise.
I just moved out, but I miss these apartments already!Pros:----Convenient location to hospitals---Very close proximity to Trader Joes, gas station, two 24 Hour Fitness, Target, etc. It is about a 10-15 minute drive downtown and also close to a few parks---In a nice, safe neighborhood---This apartment has the NICEST staff of anywhere I have ever been. From Steve the maintenance guy to the ladies in the office, you will never be disappointed---The community here is great, everyone is very friendly and tries to get to know you---The apartments are large and have a lot of storage potential---The bathrooms are huge!---As well as the closet space---The vaulted bedroom ceiling was nice---Kitchen was very modern and had ridiculous amounts of counter space---The pool and hot tub are nice and are open until 10PM, which is a reasonable time---Did I mention the great apartment staff? They sometimes do weekly resident appreciation events (free car wash, free pizza, little candy bags, donuts, community events in the media room)---I love the trash chutes at the end of every hall, makes it super convenient---There are storage units for rent---There are free poop bags and trash cans located all around the apartment---The grill in the pool area is awesome and the residents take very good care of it---The pool is always well kept and Ive never seen broken glass lying around---Magically after a snow I would wake up to my private stairs being snow free and sprinkled salt (thanks Steve!!)Cons:---I had a poop trashcan right below my dining room window and in the summer the sweet smell of baking doggy poo would waft up into my windows and mix with the aroma of my lunch. I think a lid would be fine, but nothing came from my complaints---I lived in one of the private entrance apartments thinking that I would just park on the street, well its 2 hour parking, so its good for grocery trips and such, but you gotta move to the garage---speaking of the garage, the parking is $30 a month and if you get home after 630PM you wont find parking anywhere but the roof (which sucks with the snow and what not)---The curves around the garage are really narrow and people like to speed around them so be careful---If you walk from one end of the hall to the other you will notice ten different smells from dirty vacuum cleaner, burnt popcorn, bad trash, Peruvian food, all the way to cinnamon buns. The insulation around the doors could be better, because it is gross walking around inside the building sometimes---Some people find these apartments to be loud because they are located on Colorado Blvd, but I lived on the backside and didnt have any issues.---Some people find the traffic bad, but its actually fine here getting onto 8th or Colorado. (just be careful, some people dont use the stop sign, even if you have no stop sign and are rolling through at 30MPH---There used to be a fire alarm problem at 2AM, but after 4 or 5 times the staff took care of it. I havent seen this as an issue in awhile---I feel like for the price the apartment could have provided more amenities. There is only the pool, a poorly equipped office room, and a room with a couch and pool table. I have seen other apartments for $500 cheaper that had fully stocked libraries with kurigs and fireplaces, game rooms with every console, waterfall pools with black water, and a kitchen that had free weekly chef classes downstairs---I will say that I wanted to cry on the 1st of every month when rent came out (I paid roughly $1750 for the Falling Water one bedroom), but it is Congress Park after all and conveniently located and safe---If you like Walmart, the closest one is in Stapleton (I think), youll have to settle for Safeway on 6th and Corona
Ok, yes, there are fire alarms. They have not been quite as bad people are claiming, but they do happen. No reason to knock this place down in ratings, in my opinion.Pros: The facility has the absolute best staff you could ever ask for. Seriously. Office managers, maintenance, everyone! Theyre all prompt, courteous, personable, and very open with their practices. They dont try to jip you or nickel & dime you with your lease dues. If you need to vacate early, just give notice and if they can put someone in your place, you dont have to pay for time missed! Theyll also pro-rate that months rent and fees! The pool is always well-kept, clean, and more often than not, vacant. Hot tub as well.People dont realize just how quiet these apartments are. Aside from the occassional furniture moving, I dont hear ANYTHING from my upstairs neighbors, and my downstairs neighbors dont complain about ever hearing us.The community is incredibly friendly.Cons:Parking can be a bit tedious in the garage come winter. Unless you get the personal space option, theres a chance that you could still be parking outside, despite being in the garage. Definitely not enough parking spaces inside for how many they sell.Yeah yeah, its somewhat expensive. Welcome to Denver, hippie. As mentioned by everyone and their grandma, the fire alarms are very sensitive. Its really not that much of a bother though; just sometimes goes off around 7 pm while everyones cooking. No biggie; open a window.Other thoughts: Theres decent parking on the streets surrounding the apartment complex. If you plan on doing that though, do yourself a favor and apply for a parking permit so that you can park out there for longer than the 2 hour limit. Parking enforcement isnt every day, but its annoying enough.
Ok place to live. Management was not very helpful at times.
Ive been renting here for about 6 months, The apartments are spacious and property is very clean. Cortland management has really worked hard since taking over, they are open to suggestions. They are honest and are very transparent. I look forward to the progress they make to keep this place awesome to live.
