Communication was great. I was concerned about sizzling noise from a light switch and they replaced just the switch I would definitely use them again and recommend them as being trusted to not push more expensive work that I didn’t need immediately. Thank you !
They have been to my house multiple times to fix the gigantic mess they made. I keep discovering new issues such as 2 sets of live wires they left just hanging and uncapped. This is an enormous safety hazard. Here is a picture of the wires. They have said they will come twice to fix this and some other issues. They do not show up.

After some initial scheduling challenges around the New Year holiday, Service Manager Jay intervened and sorted things out personally. Tech arrived the next business day exactly on time and completed his work quickly and professionally within an hour. Rate was adjusted to compensate us fairly for the scheduling issues. Would recommend this business and use them again personally.

Jace came out, super friendly conversation, and he walked me through the process of identifying the issue and repairing it. 110% would recommend this company and this electrician specifically.
Ive used Rocky Mountain before, they did great work on some electrical and lighting awhile back so when our furnace started acting up, we gave them a call. They were able to fit us in right away and got our heat working again quickly. They even caught some issues that could have become expensive (or dangerous! eek!) if they werent taken care of soon. Were glad they caught this and we signed up their maintenance plan so we dont have bigger problems later.
On the day of the biggest snow storm of the last several years our furnace went out. Jamin and his team never hesitated to come replace our furnace. The team worked hard to get the new furnace in as fast as possible. Their prices were reasonable and Jamin answered any questions I had.
THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAM ARTISTS!Mid December, we lost power to most of our patio and kitchen. None of the breakers were tripped, so we called Rocky Mountain Electric. An electrician came out, messed around with the breaker box for a few minutes, plugged a device into the outlets to determine if they had power, but nothing else. He then told me that there was a melted wire in our wall and it was an emergency, that our house was going to catch on fire, and that we needed to have it fixed ASAP. He quoted me $6k for a whole circuit rewrite for a small portion of the house, and that didn’t include permits, drywall, or paint. He told me not to worry about it and that our insurance would cover it, but that I needed to pay a 50% deposit for it right now so they can start working on it immediately before it “spreads.” He also said that we should stay in a hotel until they can fix it, which we couldn’t do since we have pets, so he said that we should turn the electricity off to the house when we are away and sleeping (this was in December, so without heat the house gets very cold fast). There were some red flags, so I told him I needed to talk to my insurance company first. I then called a family friend who has been an electrician for 30+ years, who after describing the situation told me that they were definitely trying to scam me.I was waiting for a call back from another electrician (Jay) from Rocky Mountain Electric who was supposed to “coach” me on what to say to the insurance company. I asked him how the other electrician knew there was a melted wire and how they were going to test my other wires. I recorded the call and played it for our electrician family friend. He told us that with the tools the guy claimed to have used to tell there was a melting wire in the wall had no way of determining that. When I was on the phone with the guy from Rocky Mountain Electric, he also kept talking about fires and saying they have to go to 4 or 5 houses a week that caught on fire due to electrical fires and our situation is an emergency and they need this deposit ASAP so they can work on it. I finally told him that we were getting a second opinion and he got very weird, and asked if the electrician was a master electrician, because he’s a “master” electrician. I told him yes, he’s been an electrician for 30+ years and has his own electrician business (he also used to do electrical work for the government). The guy on the phone got even weirder after this, trying to back pedal and saying “well maybe he can just fix it then.”Our electrician friend couldn’t come out for a few days, so we did turn off the electricity to the house while we were asleep and gone just to be safe (and again, this was in winter, so this meant we had no heat when the power was off). When our friend did come out, he quickly isolated a loose wire, fixed it, and we had power again. The people from Rocky Mountain Electric never checked our electrical outlets or light switches, and there was no burning smell or scorch marks on any outlets or switches (which we would have had if there was a melted wire).I thought I would never hear from them again because I was getting a second opinion and they were clearly trying to scam me. I didn’t for awhile, but then two weeks later I get a call from Xcel asking if I have a downed power line. I told them no, and they got confused, saying that the fire department gave them this number saying that we called in a “down wire.” I asked the if I should be concerned, and they say no, it must have just been a wrong number. After getting off of the phone with them though, I started thinking about Rocky Mountain Electric, and wondered if they called it in as an attempt to scare us into calling them back. It might have just been a coincidence, but the fact that these two events happened so close together is very suspicious.Then today, at 9:30 at night, Jay (from Rocky Mountain Electric) texts me saying that I should have them come over and test all my wires!What they are doing to people is terrible. Do not use them!
Jay and the crew were so prompt and professional. They were the only company that could come out same day. They went above and beyond in giving advice and fixing everything. I will use them again and would recommend.
Outstanding service. Very professional. We used them for a variety of electric issues in our new home . It was a lot of small projects and they sent a team of 4 electricians. All were knowledgeable, professional and detailed oriented. We had three quotes and they were not only the best but could also do several of the projects other electricians said were possible! Absolutely the worst “electrical contractor” or “master electrician” you could consider, they are neither one and should not be in business. Jamin the owner is a crook and fraud that over charges, makes fraudulent insurance claims, and does not pay his employees or even send the required by law documents for taxes, DORA, or any legitimate paperwork like you are required by law to send, handle, or otherwise! DO NOT USE OR SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS, there are multiple law suits pending and more coming!
Did not return my only copy of the panel schematic; would not replicate it saying they had no idea what happened to it. Later denied even doing any work for me. Keeps insisting I own they money when it was all paid through a bank loan. I would not recommend this company if you want a reliable company. I call Mr. Sparky and they came out immediately and redid the schematic. They are reliable.
Do not use this company! I had the worse experience with them. First, they did not complete the job they were paid to do. I made several appointments to have them come out and complete it but they never showed up. On a random day, an electrician showed up at my house to look over things. 3 hours later, we lost power to multiple outlets and lights. He had no idea what he messed up and couldn’t fix the problem. With a bad attitude he said he would be back the next day. However, he never showed up and I had to pay another company fix his mistakes and complete the original job. Save yourself the headache and do not use this company!
I have used this company multiple time over the last few years and have always been pleased with the entire experience. They have been punctual and efficient and always take care of me and my home with respect.
Heat went out on a Sunday. Come to find out that the furnace had broken parts. Didn’t make sense to have the parts repaired on a furnace so old, but I needed heat. So, the tech rigged to where I would have heat for the night, and they got me in the next day to replace my furnace. Amazing response to an emergency!
I called Rocky Mountain Electric, Plumbing, and Heating to inquire about a fair assessment on our malfunctioning air conditioning. The service professional, Sean M., was prompt, very knowledgeable, and was more than fair on his bid. He also offered a few different ways financially that we can approach this through the companies Finance plans. Is follow-up along with the companys follow up was more than pleasing. Once we decide to go forth with the project I will definitely use Rocky mountain electric, plumbing, and air conditioning company. I also like the fact that Sean ensured me that he would make sure that all of what we discussed about the project will be done to satisfaction.
Outstanding team. We work closed with Jamin and Ben. They fixed a variety of electric issues, had great design tips for lighting and were knowledgeable and responsive. We will definitely use them again for all other electrical needs.

AMAZING! Our power went out and our HOA failed to help us with the issue leaving us with no power for 2 days. These guys moved their schedule around to help us out. They were booked up for the next 2 weeks and made time for us the next morning after our call. Not only did they install a new breaker, but fixed our microwave, checked for carbon monoxide, and installed a vent cover for free. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS! Shoutout to Ben and Jamin

I had them out for a quote on some electrical work and they identified burning on the buss bar in the breaker panel. They were able to re-schedule other work and perform repair/replacement the same day as well as help with insurance claim. They also did great work on installation of a couple ceiling fans and other work. Would highly recommend!
Justin came out to do a quote for installing a new sub panel in my garage. He was very friendly and respectful throughout the entire estimate. I don’t know a ton about electric so having someone explain in layman’s term without being condescending is a breath of fresh air from previous contractors I’ve encountered. He was upfront about pricing and seemed to go above and beyond to make sure I understood the various charges. I went with Rocky Mountain for our project (scheduled/not complete) and against my usual “get three quotes” mentality because I felt extremely comfortable with Justin’s frankness and work ethic. Would definitely recommend to friends and family in the Denver area for any electric work and would further recommend requesting Justin for your estimate. Will update once job is complete.

I called late around 10:30pm when my system suddenly failed in the middle of the night. I was surprised they were the only company that answered. The Tech came out to my house at 11pm. He as able to diagnose and repair the issue quickly so our pipes didn’t freeze or worse. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to friends and family.

They rescheduled me twice. Then on my third appointment, I waited for two hours and had to call them to get an update. They tell me there was an emergency and could reschedule me for next week. Terrible service, unprofessional, and non-responsive. I felt like I got the runaround for weeks trying to fix my electrical issues. Go anywhere else.
I recently purchased a new home that needed grounding and the addition of a new outlet and Jamin was extremely helpful in explaining and fixing our issues. Ive been in the construction industry for 12 years. Ive works as a residential electrician for 4 of those and Ive never seen a company as horrible and disorganized as this one. They installed my AC incorrectly after getting paid to install a whole new outside unit and electrical panel. the electrician even told me one of his guys must have been in a rush and not finished even thou he told me it was done. This is a horrible company that needs to get their act together and actually control their guys and send them to where they are supposed to be. One guy didnt show up cause he went to the wrong address and started doing work on a persons home who wasnt even a customer. Then when they were supposed to come at 8 the next morning after delaying multiple times the previous day and never showing up they STILL did not make it on time after calling the tech twice because he was almost 2 hours late (even though he said it would be 15 minutes and then 6 minutes until he arrived) when i called again he told me to back off and give him a f-ing second I didnt know this is how you treat customers?? Its not my fault you guys didnt install it right the first time and its not my fault you gave me the wrong time every time I called also not my fault you sent someone that didnt know how to fix the issue when ive given you all details. you shouldnt get mad at the customer for calling and asking for times when your almost 2 hours late and gave two times already that were not met. Overall I took about 8 calls from them over 2 days delaying time and they knew I had 2 small children in the house as well. Do NOT do business with these people they dont know what they are doing and cannot manage time at all. whats the point in warrantying your work if you never show up? If my issue gets resolved maybe I will change this review. i will be making sure all my friends in the construction industry know how this business operates.

Rocky Mountain Electric was great, I was remodeling my bathroom, they pulled two new circuits to my bathroom and installed a floor heating. Work was done on time and under budget and they installer was great. I would recommend them to anyone!
Replaced my electrical panel and never offered to repair all the drywall that was cut out from my wall.
Found several light switches were not grounded after I called to check one which was working intermittently. Rewired all of my old outlets and replaced worn switches in control box also replaced 35 yr old smoke detectors with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Friendly, respectful, efficient and professional . Well worth the price to protect my family from potential electrical fire hazards.
Justin was my electrician and he is very knowledgable and professionlal and very polite ! He certainly knows his business and his helper was great also and very polite ! Their boss Jamin seems to know whats needed and also very professional . He explained everything that needed to be done and the total cost before any work was completed . Rocky Mountain Electric had a lot to do at my house, and made time for me immediately after the initial inspection. While I ended up having a lot more done than I had initially planned for - I am happy that my home now has electrical work that is up to code and is safe.

I contacted Rocky Mountain Electrical because they have been around awhile and seemed to get solid reviews. I also thought I only had a minor electrical problem with a GFI outlet that would require a nominal fix. Unfortunately, my “minor” issue became a wildly expensive ($7,300) fiasco and I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. Not only was this work priced astronomically, the company did not complete the work agreed upon in the original signed contract. On top of everything the work failed inspection and Rocky Mountain reneged on doing all of the work outlined in their bid, citing that it was a mistake and the parts would be too expensive. Please learn from our mistake and look elsewhere for your electrical/plumbing needs.To compound the above, I was able to get in contact with an old electrician friend of mine, who worked for us in the past and before I decided what to do about the re-wiring. I would have called him initially, but he works for a commercial electrical company and he wasn’t doing side jobs anymore. Considering the magnitude of this bid however, I decided to at least talk to him and sent him over Rocky Mountain bid. His first words were: can you get of this?” Unfortunately, I signed a contract, so I didnt think I could. My buddy looked at each part of the bid and concluded that we got fleeced on the grounding system (the cost for parts was negligible and should only take a few hours to complete). At about $1,360, he estimated that the grounding should have cost about a third or possibly half of that. For the new box, breakers and amperage (about $1,700), my buddy actually said this seemed reasonable, particularly if they were installing new breakers. I felt better knowing that at least I had only really gotten taken on the grounding work. My buddy also felt sorry for me and offered to do the re-wiring during his off time. To give you an example of the disparity in pricing, my buddy re-wired the house for $2.5k, whereas Rocky Mountain quoted me about $4k. In fact, he said that he would have done everything for about $3k less than Rocky Mountain.

Rocky Mountain was the only company I called who answered my phone call. They assured me not to worry a tech was being dispatched and would resolve the issue. The tech was clearly a master at what he did, he was able to find he issue quickly and weReplaced the needed Parts and everything has worked perfectly since then.I wanted to thank everyone at Rocky Mountain for going above and beyond. You saved us and Ill be calling you for all our future renovations.

The two electricians working on the project, thoroughly explained what they were doing, asked for our input, were courteous and cleaned up the area. These guys were AMAZING!! My breaker box was sparking after our recent storms. I called them at 7pm, and had a master electrician at my house by 7:30. He made my home safe immediately, and moved appointments around to ensure that I could have the breaker box replaced the next day! 3 gentlemen showed up and got everything fixed perfectly!! Since it was snowing, they all took off their shoes at my door, without even asking, and kept my home/floors clean. They worked with my homeowners insurance, and had all documention/pictures to them before the job was even completed! Their good work was immediately approved by my insurance company. I would recommend them to anyone!!

There was no show no call May 22nd when scheduled. Called and complained was told someone would show on the 23rd, which they did one at 3:00 PM and a Second at 4;15 PM.The first tech checked everything and found no problems and the second technicians was told it had already been done and of course he was surprised that no one told him.
These guys are great! I called RMES after a breaker in my home tripped. My call was returned within minutes and they scheduled someone to come out that day. The technician was on time, clean and left me very impressed. He was able to explain to me what was needed and l was comfortable with the price. I would absolutley recommend them.

Had a tech out because furnace wouldnt light. Was told we needed new valves, flame sensor, and since its hard to get to we should replace the ignitor while we are at it. He backed off the $200 igniter when I questioned it. Still replaces valves and sensor. This morning our furnace wouldnt light again.Called Rocky Mountain, left a message, never heard a word back. Got a diff company to come out. The problem was just some condensation in a line. The new tech Looked at my old parts that were replaced and knew immediately we had been ripped off for $600 in parts we didnt need to replace and more than likely the condensation was the culprit the first time.The original tech was very overbearing and pushy when recommending the services, he got mad when I questioned the suggested repairs. Now I see why.I will post this review on every social media platform I can find as to try to prevent others from being taken advantage of too!EDIT: Management reached out to me the day of this review, listened to my complaints and worked with me to make this right. I appreciated their professionalism and they seemed truly appalled by their employees actions. I would consider them again if the need arose.

Altogether, the service call exceeded our expectations we’ll be sure to recommend Rocky Mountain Electrical Services, and Jamin Pollack, to our friends and neighbors.11/13/20 Update: We asked Jamin to install additional lighting and by way of surveying our basement he noticed unsafe ducting from a previous water heater installation done by another contractor. That led to an inspection of our furnace where he discovered a cracked heat exchanger and unsafe levels of co2 coming out of the ducts. Safe to say ( no pun intended) Jamin may have saved our lives and those of our pets. We now have a new state of the art tankless water heater, furnace and air purifier plus the aforementioned lighting and would say that if anyone is considering electrical, HVAC or plumbing work give them a call. It could be a lifesaver!

I was pricing electricians to come out to provide a free quote on some recess lighting I’d like installed. I called this company and the first thing I asked was “do you provide free in home estimates” to which their response was “yes.” The electrician came out and provided an estimate that was $1200 more expensive than two previous quotes I received and he requested a $44 travel fee once he provided the estimate. The other companies that came out to my house (to provide an estimate) did not charge this fee. Since I found the company on Google search, not by going to their website, I didn’t verify that they charge this ridiculous, albeit small fee. I was not informed over the phone that there would be $$$ exchange. I called the company and asked for a refund, they never called me back. I give this company two stars because the manager didn’t call me back AND they charge customers this fee. It shows a lack of customer respect and appreciation.

We hired Matt from Rocky Mountain Services to replace our furnace and water heater with a tankless system after having been duped by a few other local plumbing contractors. We learned after some careful research that Matt has integrity and operates with professionalism. Although our tankless system has some initial glitches, they came back promptly every time until it worked to our satisfaction. We’ll definitely hire them again for future projects.
