She also helped make the charges reflect the correct amount that I should have been charged. She was very reasonable and asked that I call her directly from now on with questions.4 stars instead of 5 because of the technician. I was not a fan of him being in my house, he did not communicate well, and in general I got bad vibes from him. I let the owner know and she said she would talk to him.Original Review:Receptionist was friendly and the tech was knowledgeable. However, I scheduled a tune up for $59 because my furnace was having an issue where hot air would not blow. The receptionist said that sounds like a problem with the flame sensor, that will get checked and cleaned during the tune up. No mention of tune up not being applicable if that is not the issue.When the tech got here, he looked at my furnace, found the issue and fixed it within 10 minutes and started putting the furnace cover back on. I asked about the tune up, which the tech wasnt even aware was part of the call, and he said it would be $59 added onto the already charged $69 for a service call and 30 minutes of labor.I decided to not do the tune up because I was surprised by the $69 and half hour of labor he mentioned he was already going to charge me and I didnt want to pay too much extra for the visit.When he did the paperwork, he charged me one hour of labor and the $69 service charge for a total of over $200. I asked why he told me a half hour and is now charging me an hour and he said they didnt charge by the half hour.This review is coming from my communication with the receptionist as I was under the impression the visit would be $59 total. I was taken advantage of and not given a choice in the matter of whether I wanted to pay $200 or not because the work to fix the furnace (which just required reseting a fuse) was already completed before the tune up.Speaking with 2 other companies today after my call, this is NOT industry standard to charge like this.Steer clear of this company as this is a competitive industry and I have never felt like others have done something like this.I have requested to speak with the owner/manager and have not heard back yet. Will update review accordingly if I am contacted back.
The receptionist was really sweet and we were excited to use this company. When John, the technician came to quote us on an AC installation he made really inappropriate remarks on my looks and made me extremely uncomfortable. I did not feel comfortable with him in our house.

Always there when you need them most, reliable, affordable.If for any reason, you are not totally satisfied, just call them they will fix whatever problem may arise and handle it quickly. Cant say enough about Day and Night. When I learned that John, the owner has his brother-in-law, daughter and son-in-law (among other family members) all working in the company, that told me a lot about his character. And that bleeds down to his employees. Everyone was very professional and friendly, and because it was a big job Ben had to make many trips up to my property in Conifer . And he got the job done right the first time. My new combo boiler system is nothing short of BEAUTIFUL. Just in time for fall. Passed all inspections with ease. I recommend these folks completely. We had a new Amana furnace and air conditioning unit installed last year 2019. Day & Night did the installation and it was not only problem free, but also one the most reasonable in cost for our 3100 sq ft home. They took care of everything that was needed for the rebates as well! A year later and I have also had our house painted, including carpentry work, the roof and windows have been replaced and my Moms house has had to have plumbing repair. Every other service provider it has been a struggle to get what I have paid for or to get the job done right. I have come to really appreciate the care-free service provided to me by Day & Night Mechanical. I highly recommend this company!
The receptionist[s] or whoever answers are programmed to lie. the manager is on the phone without them looking / verifying. u are better off not asking for a manager, emailing, or calling for issues. they only want your $; issues are irrelevant
Amana furnace and air conditioner installed after meeting John and company at the Denver Home and Garden show 7 years ago. Terrific job by installers. System is definitely “right-sized”. I highly recommend these folks.
We recently had our HVAC duct work redone and a new furnace/on demand hot water heater installed. The level of commitment and professionalism was outstanding. My technician worked carefully with me, thoroughly explaining the ins and outs of how Home airflow works and what to expect from our system. I appreciated their transparency of pricing and my bid for the ductwork was thousands less than what I was quoted from another reputable competitor. I am confident that if we have issues with our system in the future we will be well taken care of.
I had a heating unit installed which was done very poorly by their best sub contractor crew who can only be described as a couple of clowns. There were several very basic mistakes (one very major) done during the install, according to the manual and the manufacturer, which I had to correct. Over one year later and no follow up, as promised. I was sold a unit at least 1 size too large, probably 2 sizes according to what I now know. However, this is not an exclusive problem with Day & Night as almost all contractors will try to sell an oversize unit. Pricing was competitive.

Met John from Day and Night at the home and garden show. I am glad I did. I had three bids and their price beat the other two by far. I also feel I got better equipment (and a better warranty!) from Day and Night than the other two bids provided. The installation techs were prompt professional and answered all my questions and made sure everything was working perfectly. Great product, great service and a fair price. Paid $441 on 12/17 to replace a $30 part that took 10 minutes. Here I am a year and 5 months later with the same exact problem. Called and would be charge the exact same amount for the first repair. Would not recommend this company unless you want shoddy service you will have to pay for again down the road.
Great experience. Had them install a garage heater. The installed heater works well and the install looks professional. They stayed within the estimate and were very quick to respond when I had questions and needed some help after the install. Would highly recommend.

Great experience with Day and Night. They came through for us on our commercial office space. They were able to redesign the system to efficiently cycle the air. Previously the upstairs would be too warm in the winter and too cold in the summer.We also used them for a rental unit where we needed a furnace replaced. Day and Night took care of everything; permit, removal of old unit and installation of the new unit.They have been very dependable and their techs are professional and courteous.
I tried Day & Nights $69 air conditioning tune up special that I saw advertised in a mail ad. It turns out this is actually a $69 air conditioning INSPECTION. When the technician washed the outside coils with my own garden hose that I brought him when asked I was charged an additional $110 without ever being warned about a charge. The technician also never called before heading to his appointment at my property, even when he was 45 minutes outside of the scheduled range, causing him to miss me on the first scheduled appointment. I would not recommend to others due to a lack of professionalism in my experience.
I have had an issues with Ecobee thermostats. David problem-solved the first issue with loss of power to the furnace quickly and confidently. The second issue we had, he problem-solved to the point he could, diagnosing a faulty thermostat. I was impressed with the confidence and knowledge and will use again.
Just had our A/C serviced and our furnace replaced by them this week. John, the owner, was very friendly and was able to do it for a very reasonable price. They were able to get it installed quickly and the Tony the installer was very pleasant and understanding about my dogs wanting to come say “hello while he worked. Very good experience all around. We would definitely recommend them if you need heating/cooling done in your home.
Stay away. My brother in law contacted Day and Night after his carbon monoxide detectors went off back in November. They came out several times, and one of those times replaced a $150 motor (and charged him $750) because it was cracked. However they said they couldnt find any leaks in the furnace any of the times they came out. They also refused to inspect the furnace exhaust in the attic, telling him that he needed to contact his HOA about getting that done. Long story short, numerous people went out to inspect the roof, the exhaust in the attic, etc, and now after having been without heat for 7 WEEKS during winter in Denver, a different mechanical company came out and discovered that the furnaces heat exchanger was cracked, and showed how the CO was creeping up while the furnace was running. He also had no issue getting up into the attic to inspect the exhaust.Why Day and Night couldnt find this issue back in late November has me puzzled. So my brother in law ended up paying Day and Night just around $1,000 to do nothing about properly diagnosing or fixing an issue that could have led to his death. Whether they just didnt want to spend the time to see if the furnace was leaking (so they could get to another job faster), or their equipment is faulty, that is unacceptable.A replacement furnace by the same manufacturer and similar specs costs the same amount as what they charged him to replace a motor that wasnt even the issue.
The service I received from Day & Night Mechanical was outstanding from beginning to end. They were always very professional, courteous and prompt. I would highly recommend them.

Ben the guy who installed my furnace came back out to take a second look at my furnace found where the noise was coming from and fixed it, now is super quiet and I am glad the owner reached out to me to fix the problem. They deserve 5 stars because of their follow thru and commitment to taking care of me. Thank you day and night 🙂I am giving them 2 stars because I had a new furnace installed in October, after 3 weeks it now makes so much noise it drives me crazy. I called them out and the guy says no it is running fine and argued with me saying there was nothing he could do and there was nothing wrong. Except for everytime it turns on it shakes something because if I stand on a certain spot on the floor it goes quiet right above where my furnace is in the crawl space. Plus the time was 9-11am and he came in the middle of my dinner....going to call another company and pay them to fix what these guys couldnt, you think it would be covered with day and night.
Bought a new Amana AC and Furnace from Day & Night. Installed quickly, cleanly, and buttoned up correctly. Line set bends are well done, electrical work looks good (in-house electrician) and permits were pulled correctly. They came recommended from a great friend of mine and were asked to bid on the project. They were *NOT* the lowest cost bid out there but due to the word of mouth glowing recommendation, I selected them. Ill use them again.

Day and Night, and their excellent repairman, Greg Skinner, have done a great job for us through the years. Among other work for us, they replaced our furnace, and it has worked well. We also had a problem with our hot water and Greg followed up really well with it until it was all fixed. We sure appreciate his responsiveness and good work through the past ten years.
We are big fans of the team at Day & Night. They worked with an engineer that we hired to solve a heating issue for a 100 year old house. The house still presents some trouble spots, and they continue to be there to solve the issue. They had great customer service, and clearly take good care of their team. Every one of the folks with whom we worked whether it be John, Sharmaine, Ben or Luis, we had a great experience. I hope we dont have to keep making up challenges just to see these folks. We would recommend them highly. We should note that we probably had 6 or 7 other companies come through who were not able to help us to devise a plan to fix our challenge. Day & Night stuck with us to the end. Very grateful and warm.
As a Realtor, I have been using and referring Day and Night for years now.Just had an issue in my own home where they installed a new high end whole house humidifier for me and it was making a tapping noise when running. Very difficult to determine what was making the noise. You could only hear it through the vents, Not at the furnace.Their tech, Lauriann, was able to locate the problem and make the repair in short order. Purchased a Livingsocial deal for a furnace tune up. The Tech, Larry, was an hour late from what the appointment was made for but sure made up for it. He acknowledged that our furnace wasnt incredibly dirty, however he was able to get our flame sensor cleaned which fixed our short cycling issue that was the problem. I had expected to pay an additional $40 on top of the $59 deal because the furnace is in the crawlspace, however Larry let that extra charge go because the worked needed was minimal. Very pleasant experience, would definitely use again!
We had an Amana furnace and central air installed by Day & Night in 2003 that recently required repairs. During servicing by another company we discovered by looking at the serial number that the furnace was manufactured in 1997, which we were not aware of at the time of installation. We now find it necessary to replace the unit due to the non-availability of parts. I strongly recommend not using this company for a new furnace.
This outfit saved me on a cold late Saturday night in December. They sent out a repairman to me in 30 minutes. He was able to diagnose and remedy the problem with my furnace and get it running in about 15 minutes. I strongly recommend this excellent organization!
We were disappointed with the performance of the HVAC system that was installed. The owner of the company had promised us that it would make our upstairs master bedroom cold, however we have yet to get it below 71 degrees even when we set the downstairs thermostat at 65. He subsequently told us that it would be impossible to ever get our upstairs as cool as the downstairs because of physics--hot air rises--and that we should never lower the thermostat below 68 degrees because we live at high altitude and it could freeze the system. Our old system, though 25 years old, did a better job of cooling our upstairs.
I used Day & Night to install my new Ac, John was awesome. His quote was resonable, installer Brady was on time and now Im sitting in a cool house in a 95 degree day... Thank you to the whole day& night team, for everything!!

Would never recommend this company. Once they get your money, no one will call back. They just no showed for the 6th consecutive time to fix problems from their installation. They have no concept of customer service.

Larry came over to check my baseboard heating system. The valve was opened so he bled the system. In the process we discovered that the valve was stuck open. I am awaiting an estimate to replace the valve which will require shutting off the water and boiler and bleeding the entire building. We will see. I have my heat back for now.

Jon Castleman was great, very professional and knowledgeable. He did more than just a tune up for my furnace, he educated me. Im very happy with the service. I think they should have card readers for their smart phones like GoPayment.
Service person could not fix the furnace with 3 visits. It is an Amana furnace that is only 4 yrs old, If you want to get into it, they only were going to send someone AFTER we called another company. I spent about $360 for repairs that were wrong or inadequate. There was even a concern that our wiring in our 23 yr old house might be bad. If you want to get into it, where is my refund for a furnace that does not work.

Great, done on time and within my budget
This is the only business that was able to do a same day service call when it was urgent. The Owner himself came out and wasnt able to sign off on a heater that was in the house for a VA loan but could install a new one the next day. Class act.
So far no good. They just finished 95% of the install and they cut so many corners any professional would be appalled at their craftsmanship. Meeting with them again tomorrow to see if they can fix the glaringly obvious mistakes and if they do its gonna take them a lot of work to do so. I will update this on the result and post the final photos.
I wanted to thank Sharmain at Day & Night Mechanical for her help with getting my furnace operating again. Sharmains knowledge of my particular heating systemmade it possible for me to do the repairs myself which saved me money thatI didnt have... Nice Job!
PLEASE READ! Do not use this contractor! Took them 4 trips to fix my air conditioner. Technicians left a mess in my house. One was so old he refused to access my coil in the attic. Had to wait another day for another member of the geriatric crew to come tell me he couldnt fix it.

These people are scam artists. You pay them $60 to do a tune-up and clean your furnace and they tell you the whole system needs to be replaced. I was told my unit was too old, was not running properly and was VERY dangerous. I have a home warranty on my home, so I called to have the warranty company come look at the furnace and everything I was told by Day and Night was a lie. In addition, the technician told me he could vent my dryer out the basement window, FOR $350. Do yourself a favor and do not hire this company for any work.
I called and quoted 6 different companies and D&N Mech were not only the best value, the owner personally came out to our house to discuss our specific needs. While the other 5 companies had a bunch of hidden fees, D&N Mech was straight forward with their pricing from start to finish! No hidden charges is what I expect and they delivered! As for the install of our A/C, the process was streamlined and quick. They were very professional and courteous and got the job done right - the first time! They did a great job taking care of the permit process as well. My only complaint is that the inspector had to come out a second time but D&N met them promptly the next morning to resolve the minor issue. I have definitely found my preferred HVAC contractor and will be recommending them to my family and friends! Thanks D&N!
I was recommended to these guys by a colleague but they are horrible. I received a quote from one of their representatives and when the time came to do the work; the technician wanted to upcharge me for a bunch of stuff that was in the original quote., The guy that showed up (nice guy) was not even aware of what had to be done nor did he have any tools with him. Said he had to drive from Strasburg and wanted to see the job first (ON THE SCHEDULED DAY!!!). This guy also said that because the owners daughter now runs the office that they were so behind and their subs were not happy (TMI what do I care about this) They also said a permit with the city of Denver would take about 1 month or longer and it would also be EXTRA, again even though all of this was quoted upfront and with their 1st guy
I purchased a Groupon to have Day & Night Mechanical come out and conduct a furnace tune-up and cleaning for me. I gentleman seemed genuinely nice and sincere, however I must say that I am deeply saddened that this company must be taking advantage of homeowners with this deal as a way to sell furnaces. He told me that not only did I need a new furnace that could cost me between $3650-$4100 but that my old furnace was leaking carbon monoxide into my house and he showed me a meter that was reading at a 50 ppm reading which as he explaining is deadly. The meter should be at zero and he needed to shut my system down. In the report he said my house registered 65 ppm by the time he finished the test. We are getting prepared to go into the coldest of winter and I have three kids that of course mean my world to me so I was terrified and devastated to think we could have all perished and that my detector had not properly worked. I told him that I had no money and could absolutely not pay that kind of money. He seemed like he really cared and even told me that his boss was not a villain and would work with me on the financial aspect of things, but this was very serious. I understood how serious it was as a parent I was terrified and needed to speak to my husband. He encouraged me to Google the proper levels of carbon monoxide allowed but never encouraged a second opinion or Xcel energy to come out as my mom did when I spoke with her as she had heard of companies taking advantage of consumers. I called Xcel out and they sent a technician immediately. He told me that the mechanic had placed an unnecessary hole in my heater return (a hole) and that my house was not registering even a fraction of a of a ppm in fact it was at zero the entire time he was here. His meter must be calibrated by law every 30 days and he was confident that my house was safe from carbon monoxide. REALLY??? This guy was scamming me! If I had just had the money I would have forked it out to save my family knowing that the current furnace is nearly 20 years old and that it could have been bad and I am not a repair person, but to play on the safety of my family like that should be against the law. Do not TRUST this company!
