I would never use them again. Unit installed 4 years ago now not getting cool (never has gotten really cold after several visits to re-work duct work. THEN we call as our unit is not getting cold and they not only do not return the call, they say on their outgoing message that they will start charging you from the minute they start driving to your home. Never again.

I would highly recommend Pasterkamp. We had purchased a house that had been converted from electric heating to an outside boiler system. The boiler went out in the first major snow storm, and we were without heat and hot water. To install a standard furnace/ac unit was not a straightforward installation. But their team spent the time to come up with a solution. Their installation team was friendly and did a fantastic job. We now have heat and hot water and a standard system. I cannot say enough good things about the entire team.

Ive owned two homes and quite a few rental properties over the last thirty years and worked with a number of HVAC companies that just didn’t meet my high expectations - and then I found Pasterkamp. They hire only the best, and it shows. Great technicians who have the answers to your problems, and great AC and furnace installations at a very fair price. And I love the story about their family business. When Mr. Pasterkamp opened his shop he told his workers that the company’s motto is “The Golden Rule” and for the last sixty years he and his sons have “treated people like they would want to be treated.” The world is a better place when you have businesses, and families, who keep that rule top-of-mind.

Dan, the tech, was a nice guy. Got on my roof for 30 minutes just look over the swamp cooler with me. Said it all looked pretty good. Told him Id replace the float valve myself. Talked to Dan at the truck, bought $24 worth of parts, and he rang up my bill at $279. He was on my roof 30 minutes, but I was charged for an hour drive time prior to that @ $34 per 15 minutes IN ADDITION TO a $45 Trip Charge. Recap: $279, $24 in parts, 30 minutes looking at swamp cooler, no repair made. Had a personal chat with Dirk, he explained their billing and he found this bill justified--FREE MONEY. I would never recommend or work with this company again. Everyone I spoke with was nice enough, but being charged $136 prior to even meeting the person at my house is ABSURD. I guess if the job before mine was right next store, I would have only paid $34 prior to meeting ole Dan.

The tech did a good job. He came when he said they would. I was charged for him driving over which I found odd. I’ll look for another company to do HVAC repairs and maintenance in the future.

Pasterkamp provides great service. They are very reliable. I have a complex system that previous HVAC companies specializing in residential systems were not competent at servicing. Ive never had a problem with Pasterkamp.

Weve worked with Pasterkamp twice now. The first time was for our boiler. We thought wed need a new boiler, but the guy (who came immediately at the end of the day!) really knew what he was doing and changed a small part. This was two years ago and still going strong. More recently, they came right over and fixed or AC. Very prompt service, courteous and knowledgeable employees, reasonable prices. Strongly recommended!

Insanely expensive and they did not correctly diagnose my furnace issue. I had another company out and for 1/3 the price I was charged for Paterkamps service call - I got a technician to find out the actual problem was a loose wire. Do not recommend

We recently had a Mitsubishi ductless air conditioning system installed in our house and we are so pleased with the work performed by the nice people at Pasterkamp. We met with Jared, the residential sales estimator, who spent several hours with us answering lots of questions. He was so polite and congenial, and never rushed us to make a decision. After we accepted his proposal, the units were installed 7 - 10 days later. Eldon and Aron and Ken, the electrician, got it installed and up and running in a day and a half. Not only were these guys knowledgeable and quick, they also cleaned up their mess each day. Needless to say, we love the air conditioning and give Pasterkamp a five star rating.

We have them come service our 1930’s boiler each year and they are knowledgeable, and very reasonable. They help us to keep our old boiler working reliably.

Our A/C stopped working late on a hot Friday afternoon. A panic call to Pasterkamp heating & A/C was promptly answered and a technician arrived within two hours. he was competent and clearly well trained. he found the fault, i.e. a leak in the refrigerant line, repaired it, recharged the refrigerant to capacity and returned the house to its old pleasant environment. We could not have asked for better and prompt service.

Weve used Pasterkamp Heating for our home heating system for over 20 years. They installed our current hot water heating system about 10 years ago and are the only company we have used to maintain it. Their service is top notch and reliable. Their technicians are experienced professionals who have been with them for years. My wife and I give Pasterkamp Heating the highest marks.

I had a worker come out to look at an A/C unit. Charged me $135, just to come out (trip charge, I guess), then said because the unit was so old, he would have to drive to supply houses to find another motor all at $136.00/hour. And didnt know if he could find one. I wasnt about to pay him for several hours of driving around when he could have taken a picture of the motor and called the supply houses. We told him he could go. When he left, he called to say I owed him $216.00 and wanted a credit card number. I refused to give him a card over the phone, which he was very unhappy about. When I received a paper bill, they had charged me $45.00 plus tax for truck, whatever that is! He never even took the motor out of the unit and decided to charge whatever he wanted. This company is a total rip off.

About a month ago we needed a replacement of water heater with more than 20-years-old. After calling several companies and getting quotes, I came across Pasterkamp heat & air conditioning. Pete was very friendly and informative and able to answer all of my questions. There were some challenges with replacing the tank and he confidently suggested logical solutions. He delivered the product that we wanted as promised. Aron, the installer came on time he was courteous, professional and paid attention to the details. Everything was completed within the timeframes provided. We had fantastic customer experience with this company and at a reasonable cost. Jim from Pasterkamp was very helpful when our air conditioner went out 2 weeks ago! He came by as soon as possible, did an assessment, sent a proposal and set up the installation! Dan then installed the new air conditioning unit for us! He was right on time and did a beautiful job with the installation! He also was very polite and respectful of my time and my property!

They were able to make a service call within 24 hours to assist us in restoring our A/C in the middle of one of the hottest weeks of the year. Great job and reasonably priced.

I have used Pasterkamp for over 20 years and always found their prices reasonable and their workmanship excellent. No jacked-up minimum trip charges, no padded hours, and reasonable parts charges. The furnace they just installed is what I wanted at the price I wanted.

Terrible! I went with this company because of their ratings and longevity! I should have steered cleared when the owner stated the majority of the business is now commercial and not as much residential. The financial portion was easy because it wasn’t through them. After that, I received no phone call about when the install would happen. I called and was given the date, without discussion. A new upgraded thermostat was part of the deal, and it failed. The had to come out to replace it and because he didn’t have the same one they installed I was stuck with an identical version of the original one. 6 months later my a/c wasn’t working. The owner told me to check the breaker. I told him I wasn’t comfortable with touching anything because I didn’t want to screw it up. He understood and stated he would send out a technician. I stated I hope this is under warranty, and his response was, it should be.........well evidently it was the breaker. It was half tripped and never touched since they were there to replace the thermostat. I received a bill for 250 dollars for an electrician to reset the breaker! when I called to discuss the bill, the receptionist proceeded to tell me they don’t have a crystal ball to know what the problem was, and it wasn’t their problem! She was super professional! The Lennox a/c is awesome! Just find another company to install it!

The women in the office (Michelle and Jen) are rude and the owner (Jim) doesnt care if he earns or keeps your business. They are overpriced and unresponsive. I DO NOT recommend using this company.

Expensive, poor customer service, and they do not stand behind their work. The duct cleaners couldnt put the furnace back together, so they called Pasterkamp. Five weeks later I found out that they had rewired the thermostat transformer to the humidifier switch, so the thermostat looses power if the humidifier is turned off. They will not warranty their work since it was more than 30 days, and hung up on me. I will never use them again!

Tried ordering parts from this company for a heating/ac unit. Was treated unkindly and had to track down their service team for answers over the course of a few days. When I finally got a hold of someone all they had to say was we dont have your parts before I was even able to say what it was I was looking for. Felt like I was pulling teeth to give them my business. Go elsewhere.

After an incident resulting in flooding from a clogged condenser unit, I decided to be proactive and have my AC serviced at the beginning of each season. I was referred to Pasterkamp by a friend in the industry. The Service Tech, Marc, was prompt, efficient, friendly, professional and informative. We never felt like we were being sold more than we needed - in fact, Dirk made several recommendations to actually save us money as opposed to upselling us. Its clear that their reputation as a solid, reliable, locally-owned business means a great deal to them, as Dirk bent over backwards to make sure we had a great experience. We highly recommend them!

We had a AC and Furnace put in, we have had nothing but problems. It was a high end furnace and AC: Elite Series. They have had to be back three times to fix it. If you leave them a voice message you might never get a call back. The AC just stopped working. It has been under year, but I have given up with them. I am having another Lennox dealer come out and see what they didnt do right this time.

Furnace had bad part go out during recent December. Since Pasterkamp installed it 9 years ago and had them do maintenance service on occasion I figured they would be the best place to have the repair done. I was in a tough spot since the temperature was well below freezing and I had no heat. They told me that it would be 3 weeks before they would come out, because they had only 1 person working now. Apparently they only want to be paid when it is convenient for them. Ended up contacting Littleton Heating and Air Conditioning to get the job done before pipes froze. Pasterkamp left us when we needed help. Find a company that is able and willing to support you in a crisis.

They came out did the work and were fast, but then the tech stood around for an hour running up the bill. I won’t use them again.

We recently purchased a new house and while our furnace was in decent shape according to our home-inspector, the motor loudly broke down in the middle of an extremely cold winter night, just a month after moving. Early that morning, I called several HVAC shops and an HVAC technician from a large firm inspected it, confirming it was the motor, which is unfortunately an expensive repair. Pasterkamp was among the shops I called and they offered a better price to fix the motor, however. I spoke with Dirk, Ill add, and he answered all of my questions over the phone and seemed honest, straight-forward and knowledgeable--cost alone was not my sole reason to hire them for the job. A friendly and efficient Pasterkamp technician came to our place early the next morning to fix our furnace motor and it was up-and-running in no time, which was a great relief as Denver was going through a stretch of bitter-cold temps.Im giving them a top review for the following reasons: they answered all of my questions; they offered a competitive price; their service was quick and efficient; and the repair has worked-perfectly. I also prefer to support local, small businesses when possible. It was highly stressful to have our furnace in our newly-purchased home break-down in the middle of winter, as one can imagine, and they provided a great service.

We are a local company looking to get hvac installed in our new building and were highly referred to pasterkamp. We sent drawings to their commercial estimator and didnt receive a response. After a couple of phone calls to follow up, we finally got a response from Randy saying I wont bid that, you probably just want to use my number so you can underbid us and I dont know your company from a hole in the wall. This employee is very rude and should have returned our email saying they are too busy and cant take on our project. For a company thats been around that long, I would expect more professionalism. Too bad we cant give a 0 star review.

My experience with using Pasterkamp Heating & A/C started about 4 years ago when my fancy furnace (heat pump) went out and flooded my utility room. I have a complex heating system tied into a home computer that runs everything (security, lights, HVAC, etc.). A couple of contractors looked at it and (1) werent sure how to deal with it, and (2) bid ridiculous prices. I then called the late Dick Pasterkamp (deceased earlier this year) whom I had known professionally some thirty years ago and he came up to look at the mess I had. Dick and his son Dirk (who now runs the company) did an outstanding job in educating me on my options and then sent me one of their young techs (Marc Schreuder) who did an amazing job of reconfiguring my furnace setup - the maze of pipes is almost a work of art! Not only did the work take care of my problem but the price was both fair and well below the other quoted prices.I have since had occasion to use Pasterkamp to not only service my furnace annually, but also to fix my air-conditioner tied to that same computer system. As a result of my experience over the last four years I fully recommend Pasterkamp Heating and A/C without any reservations - you will not only have first class service at a competitive price, but you will also have peace of mind that they know what theyre doing!
