I actually really loved living here. I loved the neighborhood and my apartment. The staff were always friendly and over the last year maintenance requests went through much quicker than they did when I first moved in. The only thing I didn’t love about where I lived was the fact that my apartment was on the first floor, because of this my apartment was always freezing and we had to keep the heater on year round. Other than that, I would definitely consider living here again!

The place is nice, but it’s a very expensive place, a lot of dogs owners are very rude and don’t take care of their animals messes and apparently the rules for punishment in that case doesn’t work. And when you get a holiday to enjoy the pool or go to the gym you won’t be able because they lock this areas without a warming. And if you don’t have enough credit in your laundry’s card you won’t be able to wash your clothes, because the credit’s station is locked as well. That’s ridiculous =/

Honestly, its not the worst place to live, but its definitely not the best. Ever since the new management took over last year and all the old staff got fired, its just been meh. The apartments themselves are fine. However our toilet was constantly running so it only flushed half the time which is inconvenient to say the least. Even after maintenance fixed it, it still did the exact same thing which is honestly a huge waste of water as well. I was one of the lucky ones to move in a week before shelter in place started, so I couldnt enjoy any of the amenities but I got to enjoy all the expensive rent. I urge you not to get packages delivered there unless from amazon because their package locker is only for amazon. You have to search for your other packages because Ive had them left by the mailbox, floor of the package room, front door, and leasing office. Many of my packages were opened and I had 5+ packages just go missing and was basically just told oh well by the staff. Unless youre a prospective resident, its nearly impossible to get ahold of management. It took 12 phone calls, numerous voicemails and 3 days before anyone even answered the phone for a simple question on the possibility of transferring to a bigger apartment. I was told over the phone that I could do it and they would let me tour larger apartments the next day. When I went into the office and was about to go tour with the man I spoke to on the phone, the assistant manager stopped him from getting the keys and said they wouldnt let me transfer apartments right now because they were focusing on reopening the pool. I am still VERY confused as to what one has to do with the other, but alright... Youre supposed to give a 60day notice of vacancy for when you move out. Good thing I just happened to go into the office that day looking for a missing package because they claimed they sent me a notice in the mail but I never received it. They even called a week before I moved out offering me a reduced rate on my current apartment (small 1 bedroom) to stay. I was paying 2575, they offered me I believe $2300-2400, however I had just looked at the website that day and saw my exact apartment was going for close to 2100 at the moment.I also feel bad for my friends who I convinced to move into this place shortly after I did because theyve had cockroaches and leaks in their apartments and management hasnt reached out to them in months to try to resolve this. Management did not respond to their urgent need for maintanence until the leak in their apartment got so bad that it was affecting the apartment below them, but they have never contacted them about the cockroaches. Lastly, if you are going to walk on the grass anywhere on the premises, I strongly urge you to look down while you do so because theyre lawns are covered in moldy dog poop that no one has ever picked up. Some people are great about cleaning up after their pets, but a certain few are ruining it for the rest of them. Lastly, parking isnt terrible as long as you only have one car because you do get one assigned parking space. However, if you wanted to rent another, its pretty much impossible even though there are tons of empty unclaimed assigned spots. So youll have to park down the road if you come home from work anytime after 3pm. Other things to note when looking at these apartments, look at the exact location of the one you will be living in, because I happened to be on the side that got no sunlight unfortunately, so it was like living in a cave and I had no cell phone service unless I was standing in one specific spot on my balcony (Verizon). I kept trying to like this place because of the convenient location and having so many friends living there, but every time I felt like I could keep living there, something would happen, like another package being stolen, that made me excited to leave. Until I moved into my new place, I didnt realize how much where I was living was negatively affecting my mood. With this management, I dont expect to get my deposit back anytime soon or at all.

Why is it SO HARD to get a hold of management? I don’t understand. They’re prompt and diligent when they’re trying to sell the place to you, but then it’s like they check out once you’ve moved in. The Maintenance man has been the most helpful thus far. What is going on?!I want to love this place, but management is such a sour note. It’s one thing to limit hours in the office but no email response, no voicemail response. Nothing. At least let me no that you’ve received my messages.Like I said, with the pandemic going on, I’m trying to be as patient and understanding as possible. But please at least acknowledge your residents.

I put in a maintenance ticket online because my kitchen light went out. I also called and left a voicemail. no one came by during the scheduled time I selected online. Nor did anyone return my phone call. The following day when they wanted to see how my experience was, I was frustrated because no one had come by. Maintenance came an hour or so later (its day three of having no kitchen light by the way) he did apologize, apparently the day prior, he went to the neighbors house across the hall and fixed their light... Was their light even out???The fact that no one called me back, and the fact that you have to basically call the sales line rather than the current resident line if you want help is extremely frustrating. I pay way too much money for this

The service is very good, the value is salty. One point that definitely needs to be improved is the dirt in the garage. The management answers let say 1 or 2 e-mails out 10. Once I asked her why she told me I barely look at e-mails. Funny answer as this is one of the most effective way to communicate nowadays. At first they didnt give me the mail room key, they wanna charge me $50!... after a few months I got it... Definitely the tenant is not their priority. If try to escalate your concerns to higher management... they are worse. Do not answer at all.

I had a few things I needed fixed prior to moving in (fridge/freezer not working, screen door misaligned, bath not plugging, etc) and the maintenance team quickly come to fix all issues within 24 hours. I was extremely impressed! Definitely recommend checking these apartments out.

The best word to describe this apartment complex is mediocre. I lived here for two years, and of the half dozen apartment complexes I have lived in, this one was by far the worst. Management was incompetent at best - it took them over 12 months to resolve an error in their payment system where they overcharged me for rent and couldnt figure out why. Instead of looking into the issue and resolving it, I had to keep coming back month after month and asking them for status updates on the issue. The apartment units themselves are not modern -- insulation is nonexistent, almost none of the units have laundry facilities, and the quality of the construction is passable at best. There is no modern internet service available - just Comcast coax-based service, which frequently has issues, even when hard-wired via ethernet. I would only advise living here if their pricing is exceptionally competitive -- if youre deciding between this complex and another at some price point, youre likely better served by avoiding this location.

If you have a dog dont move here. When you move out they will replace the carpets and charge you for it. My dog never urinated in the home but a few normal use stains is turning into an unnecessary hassle. Their new staff cant be bothered to approach you with warm customer service, Serramonte Ridge went from a friendly complex to one that doesnt care to put up with you. They dont answer calls/emails much anymore, they left a contract renewal on my door that they didnt even complete filling out and acted as if I were to blame when I called asking for more details about it. If you want 5 star customer service this might not be the one anymore.

BE VERY CAREFUL! I lived there 02/17 to 02/18, I got a letter on 06/19 it’s says they are demanding us for payment. They never tell us about it, when we returned the keys we ask what’s is going to happen with the deposit, they said it takes time, 1.5 years later, I heard nothing about the deposit. We paid the rent on time all year around, I really don’t have idea what is the debt if they kept the deposit, they never call us or tried to contact us, i had a excellent credit score, now it is affected for one debt I never heard about it, until the collection contacted us.

And to mention walls behind the doors had holes and none mentioned that if you let the door open to fast door will get a hole in it. I think little things like that should have been ran over with tenants.

Generally I really like living here. Staff are helpful, nice, and responsive. My biggest complaint is about how package delivery is managed. Often due to security doors, packages arent able to be delivered, go missing, or if they are able to be left at reception, theres no real system for staff to know who has a package there. I recently got a package from a staff member that I thought had gone missing due to the delivery company, but the staff in the office found it in the back. Also, I appreciate the Amazon lockers, but rhe room they are housed in isnt open 24/7 like they are supposed to be, and I work variable hours since I work for Kaiser, so Im not always able to get to my packages that are in there. There for sure needs to be changes made. Its a big, big problem.

WORST PLACE EVER. Property is nice on the outside, but there are so many flaws on the inside. Expensive for no reason. I have had multiple maintanence issues every single month since Ive lived here. Ive had constant mold, leaking pipes, multiple appliance issues from the kitchen to the bathroom, water issues.... If you name it, Ive probably had it. Its gotten to a point where I have tried fixing my own issues no matter what it is or calling random friends to do it. I called emergency maintenance one night and was not aware that maintenance could not access your apartment without you there (outside of normal hours) told the operator I would call back when I was home and she told me that the maintenance guy told her he had another event to go to and may not be available the rest of the night. This is a person who is supposed to be on call, but suddenly unavailable the remainder of the night? I even had a situation where I took a check to the office, THEY LOST IT, failed to tell me or cash the check, which it never posted on my account, and THEN CHARGED me a fee for their negligence because I had to go back to the bank STOP the check when they had everything they needed to post that check to my account. This process took nearly a month of trying to get in touch with the right person at the office who could handle it and all they could say was yeah we lost it. Sorry. WOW, lost my money just like that. Receipts and prof didnt even matter. Ive lost several packages here because for some reason it is the norm to leave packages in our open area near the mailboxes where literally anyone could pick it up. Im not sure if this is the delivery company too, but Ive seen the workers do it several times and Im sure its both. There are not cameras so good luck with them caring about your missing package. They wont. There is a complete lack of professionalism, lack of basic business knowledge, lack of general respect. Not to mention parking sucks if you do not buy a space. There is constant construction and you will get a ticket if you park where the overflow cars park. This place is trash on all levels. The only thing I like is that I dont have awful neighbors. GOOD LUCK

I lived in Serramonte Ridge for a year (Sept. 2017 - Oct 2018). I have to say, In the beginning I loved my unit and it really did feel like home. Appliances were updated, a balcony, and I was lucky enough to have an in-unit washer/dryer. The walls are pretty thin, so you will hear neighbors kids stomping around upstairs or someone cranking their speakers. But thats to be expected with most appartments. Most of Serramontes failings are caused by poor management and poor communication. I never set out to be a tenant who is a headache, on the contrary I dont like those people and prefer to keep to myself. But when you need management most, is when theyll ghost you. They will always answer your phone call / email prior to you getting the lease, but the second your requires some effort (or money) your calls will go missed. And if you think youre leaving a voicemail, think again. The voicemail is ALWAYS full, so you have no way to leave a message. Try emailing? No reply.Ive had so many bad experiences at Serramonte. Ill share a few:-My packages got stolen constantly. Youd think the new Amazon lockers would help, but not all the delivery guys put them in the locker. Management was silent. My neighbors had theirs stolen too-Upon moving out, I was told all I needed to do was hand over the keys. PGE called me 3 months later asking for $300. I told them I shut off my service. PGE said Serramonte has to end service on their end too and they ended it a month AFTER I moved out. Called Serramonte, NO answer, voicemail full, NO reply to email!      (That one really pissed me off)-Sink / Tub sewage backup started spewing back into our unit-Rail in our shower broke, it took them a month to address it and 2 days to fix. You really have to stay on top of these guys or they will forget about you-Elevators were going out and people mess with the buttons-Washer/Dryer broke and it got to the point where the in-house guy couldnt fix it and they didnt want to replace it. They claimed it worked.. but I could never get a pair of jeans to fully dry again. I had to start using shared laundry machines.-FIRE ALARMS; wether it was a drill or some kid pulling it or them working on the system. The damn fire alarm was always going off at all hours of the day! I counted 7 times in one month.-Getting food delivered is annoying. Maps usually route drivers in the wrong directions. Once they do get there, explaining to them where to go is a hassle because everything looks the same (granted not SRs fault)-Guest Parking is a nightmare. They will say you can park around the back and you see other people park there at times, but they will ticket and tow your car. They hospital parking isnt safe either. Although, theyve said there may be a deal in the works.-Hallways smell; usually like dog piss or heavy thick cooking. I dont mind the good smelling food though. For others it could be an issue.Anyways, just thought Id share my experiences with you all. This place isnt bad, its just not that good either... mind you, THIS PLACE ISNT CHEAP. People pay good money to live there and its sad that you are more likely to get a response from them on google than their own office.

I’ve only been living here for a couple of months and I can say that they’re great! It’s nearby the cemetery but to top that off, the Serramonte town plaza is around the corner, and the beach, CCSF and SFSU college and more are not that far if you drive!Unfortunately, there are some disadvantages, Serramonte building address is having trouble with Google maps or any navigation system because a lot of my Uber and Lyft drivers get lost and ended up going to the nearby elementary school so I always have to wait to redirect them to my exact location. Phone signal from any carriers goes out as soon as I enter Hickey Blvd, so it’s best if you have any WIFI connection on your own.My neighbors are bats. They hear everything and complain about everything. (I swear they filed a noise complaint to our apartment when no one was home like how is that possible?) good thing the leasing officers called me first to see what’s going on before they file a report, and I thought that was smart and considerate because they always want to hear both side of the storyAlso, their maintenance team isn’t the best. They don’t pick up their phone call and I have to call many times before making an appointment. The first week we moved in, our cabinet shelf was unbalanced and the maintenance guy came in to “fix” it. A couple of days later, it went back to the way it was when we found it, and we are left to think what he tried to fix because no one was home to monitor what he did.Other than that, my dog loves their bark park, and I love their little gym and jacuzzi, their community pool gets reheated starting May and I can’t wait to jump in there! I’m also utilizing their conference room and as a college student, it’s easier for me to host group meetings and use their computer and printer to do home work. The monthly rent and utilities bill isn’t bad either.

The experiences of living here is horrible. These apartments have many problems dealing with mice and bed bugs and as much as you tell the leasing office, they do nothing. They stated to me that these problems were normal. They do not care about your infestation of bugs or your new mice roommates. There is also too much construction going on in these apartments that cause many restrictions. Fire alarms go off in the middle of the night and it is just horrible. If you want to live in a clean place with a respectful and helpful leasing office, DO NOT LIVE HERE. It will be the worst experience of your life.

Choosing your apartment complex often feels like deciding between the least of multiple evils. Not only is nobody perfect but often, nobody is good. The team at Serramonte Ridge showed me otherwise.Things break no matter where you live and no tenant population unanimously respects its amenities; however, here I know the home-team has my back.Whether its DJ, Viet, Jacelle, or Maybelline in the main office or George and his awesome team outside of it everybody is responsive, responsible, and respectful that this is home. Theyre constantly working to make Serramonte Ridge an even better place to live and I love them for it.Thank you team Serramonte.
