Worst renting experience of my life. I used to live there 6 months ago and thankfully I moved. The apartments get extremely hot for half of year. I got a heat stroke twice while sitting in my apartment ! My pets struggled as well. If you have children definitely take that into account. Other than the extreme heat the area is noisy, dangerous, and you can always smell weed. The staff ignores many of your requests and can be very rude. They made of the neighbors cry once because of how rude they were to her. During the winter months you can hear loud noises coming from the piping within the walls and I mean very Loud that you can barely sleep. I’m so glad I moved!
My experience here at Pacific Place has been pleasant over the course of 4 years. Management has always been very easy to work with and attentive when I am in need. The maintenance team has always been on top of my requests no matter how big or small. The entire staff is hardworking, professional, and communicates in a timely manner. My neighbors are friendly and I do not seem to experience any complaints or problems. Overall, Im very satisfied and feel welcomed. I appreciate all of the Pacific Place staff.P.S. If residents do their part it would be a much better place!
It was a terrible year when we lived in this place.1.Unreal heat (100 degrees inside believe me its not a joke!)2.the smell of paint (on a sunny day it is impossible to be in the apartment) and now I need to go to the doctor because I feel pain in mylungs!I think the reason is that I breathed paint for a year, when it was shelter in place we had to stay at home and breathe this paint! ( again its not a joke)We left there and waited for our deposit, today we received it! and Im shocked! we have to pay, in their opinion, 4000 $ for the window that cracked, we didnt even touch it! We called Ramon twice and told him it wasnt our fault! He said okay, well fix it and disappeared and now we have to pay for this window! Im terribly upset!but the window is not all, we have to pay for something else, for example, Balance as of 11/01/2020 ($ 50) and other incomprehensible items for $ 260we are not going to pay for the window, they told us that we have to pay for this window (which we didn’t even touch) when we left, when the rental insurance no longer works so that we pay 4000 $it seems to me or is it a scam? And I just see the move out document and our request - I requested initial inspection of my unit, and I wish to be present but nobody didnt come to us!!!Our deposit was 600$, we got nothing back!I cleaned the apartment before leaving, the walls were dirty before us!a terrible area where the homeless are all around!Terrible building with ants!PLEASE dont even think to live there!
I initially came across Pacific Place on Craigslist, I liked what I saw an gave them a call. When it comes to a place you are thinking of calling home, first impressions are especially important. I was warmly helped by Lorenzo the building manager. He made me feel welcome and comfortable, I called on a Friday and came to look at the building the following Monday. The apartment building is only 9 years old, has huge windows everywhere and is very spacious; I fell in love and left knowing I wanted to live here. It has been a little over a week now since I moved in and I love it more and more everyday. Everyone in the building is nice, I love the gated garage, and the MICRO CLIMATE is even sunnier than the Mission SF!Every and all the help I’ve needed assistance with has been so graciously resolved by the building manager Lorenzo, he has made the whole process so smooth and enjoyable! This building is truly a gem.
Worst renting experience of my life. The biggest issue is the severe heat within the apartment which can get up to 100 degrees. I had several episodes of dehydration just due to how hot the apartment gets. Its unreal ! And very unhealthy to live here. My cats struggled a lot with the heat as well. I tried air fans and bough my own AC but still couldnt keep up with the extreme heat. The glass in three of the windows began to spontaneously crack due to the heat and its been more than a month and no one has fixed it yet. They just put tape over it. The management person is not helpful at all. Im worried about the windows falling down on my cats when Im not home. The bedroom has pipes within the wall that make a ridiculously loud noise at night. The whole thing is a bad joke. The neighborhood is dangerous and i had several packages stolen. Im moving next month and Ive never been so happy to get out of a place as I am now. My biggest regret is not moving earlier.
I have to leave Pacific Place this year... but with my heart broken. My kids love there so much, was amazing 9 years... The building is fantastic!!! They are very security and safe. The doors are heavy doors so you don’t hear anything. Very quiet and private. The gym it’s really good and clean. The Club house is beautiful, awesome views! And above all I love all my neighbors, and I will miss every single one... everyone who works there are very sweet and real! The place is lit!!! I want to live there again, unfortunately I can’t afford to choose right now, things had to be done, and I will miss there so much. Thank you everyone! God bless you all ❤️
I wanted to take a moment to share my experience visiting Pacific Place. I have visited the property while visiting friends a few times. Overall my experience is that Pacific Place seems very clean. I have thought about possibly living here but have hesitated because I am not sure if I am ready to move to the city. But so many factors about this property make it appealing. Everyone seems to be friendly and helpful. I really appreciate that tenants have secured parking and parking for visitors never seems to difficult considering you are in the city. I believe there is a spot for pets to use the bathroom. I am a little envious of the gym on site that residents are able to use (probably not at the moment because of COVID). The clubhouse and roof access is also a bonus. If and when I am ready to move to SF, I would want to move here. #goals....
Most horrible management team Ive ever come across, and Ive only moved in for 2 months.I noticed our pipes making sounds when I first moved in. I know it is due to the heater and it doesnt bother me, so I ignored it. However, apparently it really bothers my neighbors, so some people came in to inspect it and told us that they would have to tear down a part of the ceiling to be able to fix it, which may take 2 weeks. I might consider it during normal times but during a pandemic I don’t feel comfortable with people in my home everyday when Im trying to stay at home as much as possible. Also, I need to teach and take classes during business hours at home when they’ll be working, the noises will interfere with it, I don’t know how they can work around that because I need to take classes almost everyday. On top of al these, the construction site is right above my electronic piano that weighs like a real one, I seriously don’t know how to move it without professional help. I told the contractors that I was not okay with it right at that moment so they said they would talk to our management team and my neighbors. No communications from the management till somebody else came in again. Then fast forward to Feb 2nd, they gave me a notice saying they were coming in Feb 3rd again to decide where to work on. I called the management and told them I am not okay with this repair, then the lady to pick up the call straight up told me: You are a renter, we own this building. You have to comply, you have no option. You can move out if you want. She also told me that my neighbor was complaining so I had to agree to it. Then I went on to talk to my neighbors and expressed my concerns about the virus. They are very sweet and are cool with not having it done now, cuz apparently they have had enough issues for them to move out soon. Then I called the office again and told them now neither of us want to do it, could they not do it because of Covid. The lady said were gonna do it anyways because people who move in the future will complain about it again. She isnt even nice about it, she constantly reminded me that I am just a renter and have no options but to comply. I dont know who can do it but I am not a person to live in a place where I have no right to my living condition and Im not even respected. She literally said I was having an attitude because I expressed my concerns about my health and the pandemic, and she would not answer a simple question I asked her about the duration of the construction. I mean I knew the rough time span of it, but I meant to get a more precise estimation or just reconfirmation, but she couldn’t just give in an answer without insulting me. In the end she just told me she would not answer a question I knew the answer to. During the past month or so 3 groups of workers came in to inspect the problem, one time even without prior notice, they just knocked on the door in the morning. First guy didn’t express any concern about the building, cuz “pipes just do that, they make sounds”, the other two groups specifically told me that they didn’t think the building was in danger and nothing would fall apart from the noises, it was just for fixing the noises. I don’t know how this can be considered necessary at the moment and be forced on me. Also, my neighbors told me they had reported about this issue for several months already, and were never taken seriously. If it was really a necessary repair, it could well be taken care of before I moved in about one and half months ago. Manager at that time knew I wouldn’t be home for the first 2 weeks of the lease and nothing was moved in until 12/15. Why couldn’t they do it during that time to reduce everyone’s stress? Now as weather gets warmer, the pipes will not make as much noises until it gets cold again. It’s science. Also, this building doesnt have AC and I was told it doesnt get hot here during summer. However, my neighbors told me it would get to 100 degrees everyday until November. I don’t know who to believe and I’m not sure what to do.
Ive been living at Pacific Place over the last 1 1/2 years. Lovely apartment, great experience overall. Ive been meaning to post this review for a while now, and working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic has made me realize just how much I appreciate this apartment. The place is beautiful - I have huge windows in my living room, kitchen, and bedroom with views of San Bruno Mountain. Lots of trees and blue sky. Especially impressive on the 4th of July! The apartment is very well maintained and I havent had many problems, but any time I do, I can use the online system to alert the building management, and someone comes to fix it fast - usually the very same day. There is a penthouse area that you can rent for parties - I used that space for my housewarming party last year and impressed EVERYONE with sweeping San Francisco city and Bay views. Im also thankful that my place includes a parking space inside a garage - I dont have to drive around looking for a parking space, and when its raining, I can make it from the garage to my apartment without ever stepping outside. Overall, great apartment, welcoming and helpful staff, responsive to fixing any issues that come up. Love this apartment and apartment building!
Very sad to be leaving Pacific Place, we moved there back in 2011 and couldn’t have found a better place… Location is great, very close to SFO and San Francisco. Nice gym and clubhouse, in which we have many celebrations. Great options for hiking around there, the San Bruno Mountain and McLaren park are both awesome, the staff at Pacific Place is amazing they went above and beyond to help us with anything that we needed, they took great care of us… Hopefully we will be back again! I highly recommend anyone to live there!!
I have a week and a half living here, I really love this place and it will be our home for our family, there are some details in the apartment that have a solution, there is parking for visitors, there is a gym and a clubhouse obviously they are not open due to COVID -19, the building is kept clean, the manager Lorenzo assisted us very kindly every time we asked to visit the apartment, and best of all, my pets can live here they have a special place for pets.
Ive lived here for more than 7 years and this place truly is home. What makes it home is the staff; Terrance, Ramon and Nicole go above and beyond to make Pacific Place amazing.
Nichole, Terrance, and Ramon have always been extremely prompt and thorough anytime Ive needed their help. Pacific Place would be my number #1 recommendation in the peninsula. A lot of great people living here, and its easy to make it your home in the Bay!
Used to live here for 2 years. Nichole was the worst leasing manager I’ve had the displeasure of dealing with - Horrible attitude (that she sometimes masks with a fake smile) and never willing to help when tenants need it. I’ve heard horror stories about her knocking on tenants’ doors and yelling at them about moving their car in a no parking zone.. Who does that?!Thankfully there is a new leasing manager (Jessica?) who is awesome and accommodating (also Ramone the custodian was amazing), but wanted to leave feedback for my living experience here as well. We had a unit that faced the sun (facing Geneva) and it would get way too hot (over 90 degrees) inside, both during winter and summer, due to the sunlight literally BAKING the apartment through the windows. Also there aren’t any amenities besides the tiny gym, and the free parking lot is always full. Would not recommend living here overall.
Great place to live I been here for almost 8years and I love the place great management really recommend these place to live !
Safety is a problem here. The gated garage has been accessed by un-authorized multiple times . My bike was stolen in the DAY TIME when the property manager is present, my bike was locked up but after much effort they cut the lock. My other bike which was also locked up was damaged and now I can no longer ride it. During this same time, 4 car windows were smashed in the garage, thankfully not my car. The thieves entered the garage twice on separate days and times. A police report was filed. When informing the property manager was informed of my bike being stolen she stated that there is nothing we can do about the ability of people to enter and exit etc. I understand that the luxury price rent that renters pay is not enough for better security. I would at least suggest the bike area be fenced to help prevent other bikes being stolen. In 2014 there was a night guard, no idea what happened with that. Also my friend from out of town was visiting, his car was vandalized by a person painting on it with nail polish. It was significant in size. There is a parking in the back lot which is first come, first serve. This parking is not just used by the tenants and the guests but also the whole neighborhood. On multiple occasions cars which are obviously not to be parked here, are left for days at a time. Parking is a prime in the city and the management does not assist us in keeping non-tenants out of the lot.The club house is not accessible, nor the roof unless you want to use it M-F during their business hours. Like most people I work those hours.Since the subway was placed downstairs the trash bins have been needing to be emptied more frequently as expected, however the trash is not emptied frequently enough as the trash bins are always more than over flowing. At times I have a hard time to open to door to access the trash because so much trash is in the way blocking the door. This has not happened for a month or so but someone loves to pop fire works in the empty lot at 2AM, it is so loud that ALL the car alarms in the parking lot go off. Nothing you can do about it but it states a lot about the neighborhood. Please note there is project housing just a few blocks away, nothing against project housing but just so you are aware.Other things to note. If you get an apartment over any of the garage doors please be aware you will always hear the opening and closing of the doors, day in and day out.I also consider the one-star rating be applicable to the current apartment manager, there is a long list of issues I have but my review is already lengthy. Hope this review helps.
