Good location, nice apartments. Big drawback: you will hear your upstairs neighbor’s every step.

I moved in a couple months ago and I am just now getting around to posting on how things are going here at the Marquis at Turtle Creek. I have had a great experience from the very beginning of the leasing process. The management team has been super nice, helpful and courteous. I have lived in Uptown for over past 12 years and at many different rental communities with a few very expensive. The Marquis at Turtle Creek is the best value for the location in Uptown. I love my floor plan that has direct access to the pool terrace, pool, grill bar, comfy outdoor seating and the dog park. All my neighbors have been extremely friendly too. The pool is awesome with lots of lounge chairs. The maintenance team is very helpful and followed up with me to make sure my move-in went well and if my unit was to my satisfaction. Great customer service! I would recommend the Marquis at Turtle Creek to all my friends. I am super happy!

Today, I visited Marquis at Turtle Creek and was greeted by Kerry B., the leasing agent. He was so welcoming and thoughtful. He made leasing an apartment so much fun and easy. He is a true professional. I also noticed how he greeted the residents. He spoke to everyone and treated everyone with respect. The company has a jewel. I hope they keep him for years to come.

This is hands down the best building I have ever lived at! I am in property management and I can say WITH CONFIDENCE you will love it here. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The building is lovely and always kept clean. The office staff are the sweetest and always make sure we are notified when issues arise. The people in the building are kind and neighborly. Small complex with a community feel. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, professional and beautiful place to call home!

Toured this property twice. Certain things i liked about it, like the space. The renovation looked like a good facelift for the apartments. Its a small complex, 98 apartment homes, tiny gym, no business center or resident lounge, interesting staff. Overall, id live here, if the prices werent steady climbing by $100 everyday. Its a good area, but almost $2000 in rent on a 1BR for what? Youve little to zero amenities. Better off spending that $ elsewhere.

This management company needs to stop allowing their workers to use the leaf blower at 7:00 am. That has become the most disturbing wake up call from across the street. Be cognizant of your neighbors and do not allow your workers to begin working on your grounds until 9:00 am.

I was living here for a year when my lease came up for renewal. It was at this time I learned that all of the units were undergoing a renovation. I was already very happy with my apartment, but chose to move to a renovated unit on the first floor with walk-out access to the pool (easiest move of my life). I could not be more thrilled. It has beautiful hard-wood floors, granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances.I also love the charm and character of the building. A lot of the newer apartment buildings in Dallas all look the same to me, but the Marquis at Turtle Creek has a timeless European architecture. Even more, they are constantly performing some sort of upgrade to the building. When I first moved in a year ago, they had just remodeled the lobby and hallways. Then, they got all new furniture at the pool and repainted the exterior. After that, they redid the landscaping out front and are planning to put in a new front door. Now, they just added an outdoor kitchen area at the pool and built a sun deck to cover the pool equipment (formerly a bit of an eye-sore). The only thing that keeps it from being perfect is the elevators. They could use a facelift, but I am told that is in the works.I would also like to add that the location could not be more ideal. It is tucked away in the Turtle Creek neighborhood, so it is nice and quiet, but it is also walking distance to the West Village, the Katy Trail, and Oak Lawn. I actually walk to work every day, bike to the gym and seldom have to use my car.Next, the residents are super friendly. They range from young professionals to retirement age, but all are courteous and nice. I play the piano, and when I moved in was sure to write a note to my immediate neighbors with my phone number in case it ever became bothersome. One of them wrote back with a thank you note and a bottle of wine! Everyone else I have met in passing and they have all said that they could not even hear it unless they were in the hallway.Lastly, the service is outstanding. Maintenance requests are always fulfilled promptly. They even went as far as to install a wifi thermostat that I purchased along with some light switches/dimmers without hesitation. And the leasing staff could not be friendlier and more accommodating. Lauren is exceedingly nice and always very helpful. Nikki is the community director and could not be more patient and professional. When I was trying to decide whether to move to a different unit or stay in my old one, she answered all of my questions (there were many) and showed me every other unit available multiple times before I made up my mind. She is simply amazing at her job and will do everything in her power to ensure the residents are happy.Needless to say, I would highly recommend the Marquis at Turtle Creek to anyone!

The Marquis at Turtle Creek sits just about a block away from the border of Uptown’s Katy Trail. It is technically not in Uptown, but right on the border of Uptown, in the Turtle Creek area (a higher end, quiet area). The Marquis at Turtle Creek is not in Uptown, but only a block or so away (and in walking distance) from the Katy Trail border of Uptown. Because of the great vibe that is similar to Uptown, many residents think that they are in Uptown…it’s really hard to tell you aren’t in Uptown! On the way to view the apartment, the air conditioned interior hallways were pleasant and well lit. The particular unit we viewed had hardwood floors and a beautiful gas fireplace. The fireplace is a rare feature in Uptown and well appreciated…though only usable for short few months in Texas. The kitchen was actually a little small in the floorplan we viewed, but it felt comfortable. The kitchen overlooked the living room. It felt very open and “cozy”, I liked it! The living room connected with the bedroom and a closed den (which could be used easily as a guest room). Overall, the space for each room felt very generous. You will get a good “bang for the buck” with usable space here.Features found inside were usable but did not stand out. This included basic white appliances, microwave, etc. Basic countertops (a clean formica) were present throughout the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom had a very nice stand up shower, also a mark of a higher apartment quality. And, the closet was LLAARRGGE! And, the apartment we saw had a small Juliette balcony.I didn’t feel “wowed” by the floorplan, but I did feel very comfortable with it, and felt it was very workable. It would fit medium to larger furniture as well, with no tight or weird corners that would take up space. For additional information, please review my further thoughts at Uptown101 .
