Im not one to leave negative reviews, generally. But dont live here.Ive been waiting three+ months for a noisy AC unit to be fixed. Driving me slowly crazy while I work from home. Even though I was told by a maintenance guy that it was an easy fix. (This work order was also marked as work complete no fewer than three times, and its still not fixed.)But even when maintenance does show up, half the time its incompetent. For instance, when my apartment flooded from a burst pipe, the first maintenance guy vacuumed up the water and left me with an apartment still flooding. Doing nothing else. It took many hours before someone competent showed up. Then I had to foot the energy bill of having noisy industrial blowers and a dehumidifier running 24 hours a day for several days. When you take your initial tour, everything may seem green and lush, but what they dont show you is all the muddy areas desperately in need of re-sodding, where youll be walking your dog, if you have one, whose feet will get ridiculously muddy after every time it rains. The grounds are poorly maintained.I wish I would have looked up reviews of this place before I signed my lease. Take it from me: Dont move here. It sucks. Also the gates regularly break down and dont work. The mail area is constantly being robbed and locks broken. Theres a bunch of cars being burglarized or their catalytic converters stolen. Its just a bad scene.

I do NOT recommend this apartment to anyone. My whole apartment was flooded and its been 2 weeks already and its still not fixed. I have been living in a hotel for last 2 week and the leasing office told me it will take them 4 more weeks weeks to fix my apartment. So I called the corporate office to discuss termination of my lease and they are telling me that I have to pay my rent till end of my lease which comes to around $5000. Then I told them my apartment is not liveable anymore and the contract clearly specifies that if the apartment is damaged, i can terminate the lease. And they told me that the leasing office has communicated to them that my apartment is livable. Posting pictures of current state of my apartment. You be the judge! I have lived here for past 6 years and this is how they treat me.

Dont go here. The staff wants everything in writing. While signing the lease, they gave me a couple of bonus offers. When I moved in, they said we will get you only one offer. Luckily I had a written email from the manager stating 2 offers.During the texas winter storm our trash cans were blown away along with other residents. They charged me $50 after moving out for this, despite making it clear with Shannon and other folks in the leasing office that the missing can will not be a problem. The lady Cherry who manages the accounts after move out was rude and zero customer obsession was shown. As I did not have it in writing this time, they wont waive the $50 fine.During the winter storm, Shannons attitude was ridiculously rude. Going there to ask something to the office and she would throw such an attitude, dang woman have some manners! Please stay away from here.

This place is the absolute worst apartment complex I have ever had the misfortune of living at. I don’t even know where to begin with this review. The complex manager, Shannon, is just awful. She refuses to communicate and will blatantly ignore your requests. Maintenance is shotty at best and has on multiple occasions left my apartment with a mess for me to clean up after their work. I’ve had too many issues to list but the icing on the cake was THE TERMITES. I came home to termites in my kitchen counter, put in a maintenance request and called the office to make sure they knew about the issue and they basically ignored it completely. I literally had termites crawling on my counters and they didn’t care at all. After multiple phone calls with the office and still no action taken, I eventually had to go to corporate in order to have someone come treat the infestation. All in all, it took them THREE WEEKS to bring someone in, the whole time I had termites crawling through my kitchen. Being treated like this as a tenant shouldn’t be legal! They have expressed zero remorse about the situation and I’m currently still trying to get a hold of someone in their corporate office who actually cares. Don’t make the mistake I made! Do not sign a lease at The Saxony! They will show you smiles to get you to sign and then ignore you completely!

Just moved about 6 weeks ago, wasnt a great start because our unit changed less than 24 hours before we arrived to move-in due to another resident not moving out. Then, realized the gym fobs were being changed) and couldnt use the gym for a month (no one told me that the gym fob wasnt going to work because it was the new one and I had to find out by trying it)- it was finally switched a few weeks ago and now I can go to the gym. Im paying for amenities every month, and the swimming pool is just so gross everyday... I think this is a health hazard just look at how green it is... Ive seen them clean the pool, but after 1 day it gets very gross with sand and all the algae. I tried calling the resident relations team, and told them I have some feedback, they picked up then asked if I was a resident and just transferred me over to the leasing office.. Also, the apartment units are old/cheap - old countertops, drawers, cabinets, blinds - looks nothing like the pics you see on their website.

I’ve lived here two months and moving here was one of the worst decisions I ever made. There was so many broken appliances when I first moved in and they still have no attempted to come fix them, even though the lied online and mark it as completed. They also would not process my security deposit and rent for over a month which caused me to have additional charges. This place is not worth the cost of rent because everything around here broken or dirty and clearly nobody cares enough to fix it. To top it off, I got locked out my apartment at night, and was told lockouts aren’t considered emergency services, which I think is ridiculous and not save whatsoever. I had to spend $300 to have a locksmith come let me in my own apartment, just to find out that I had a faulty door and that there door needed to be replaced completely!! I went to the office the next day and was told that they wouldn’t even try to help with the money and also that they would come out to get some one to take a look at my door, which of course still hasn’t happened.

If you are looking for an apartment in North Dallas, this is NOT the one youre looking for. Ive lived in The Saxony for over 2 years, and things have been going downhill since the day I moved in.I work in the multifamily development world, so I have some experience with well run complexes, and this is by far the worst.Office staff is rude and unresponsive. The manager Shannon will not even speak to me, she will send out one of her workers to deal with anything I come to the office for, or will only respond to an email after sending multiple in her direction first.Gates are CONSTANTLY broken open, so cars and mailboxes are broken into, but dont expect the complex to take the blame - no, they will send emails talking about recent increases in crime around the property, so be sure to hide your valuables. They will not take the blame or responsibility to fix the gates.Cars are abandoned in the garage and are never towed. There are vehicles that have not moved in a calendar year, but are not addressed. Cars are blatantly double parked. The units are out dated, and any improvements they are pushing in responses to other reviews, like new roofs and gutters, are actually them finally fixing damage from the freak storm we had over a year ago that knocked down chimneys and ripped up sections of roofs. I was without my chimney for a year, but was not compensated for the loss of one of the amenities I no longer had use of in my apartment. The property is constantly dirty, dog feces is everywhere you look, dumpsters overflow on a weekly basis with some having more trash outside of the dumpster than in it, and nothing is ever done about it.Maintenance will ignore your requests. I recently had my refrigerator go out, and it took 3 weeks and 3 maintenance requests to get them to address the issue, and only after I made a report to their cooperate office. And when they did finally fix the issue, they did not give me any indication it had been fixed. I only figured out someone had been in my apartment, which I specifically stated not to enter my apartment without my consent since I have a dog, when I started to find screws on my kitchen counter and muddy footprints on the floor after hearing ice fall out of the ice maker I hadnt used in 3 weeks.Do yourself a favor, find another complex, and do not give The Saxony any of your hard earned money. I am counting down the days until my lease ends and I can move on to greener pastures. I dread the move out process, as I can only imagine its not going to be a smooth one.

I’ve lived here for almost 2.5 years and moving out in a week. Very few issues in total. One time a maintenance request of mine that I put in electronically was deleted from their system, but they sent out a maintenance guy the day I called to ask about it and they fixed the issue that day. The gates are broken often (but that’s most places). My neighbors have always been nice and considerate. Front office have always been helpful whenever I had questions or needed something. Maintenance have been very nice when I needed them (only twice my whole stay). The true reason I’m leaving is that they’ve upped my rent by almost $300 since my first years rent. Now I’m moving to a nicer apartment with more square feet for less because of this. Had my rent not gone up so much I would have considered staying longer.

The location is great, but the management is ineffective and unhelpful. I have lived here for 18 months, and the maintenance and ability for management to be effective (because of corporate policies) is nonexistent. Management gave us a quote for the apartment and changed it at the last minute when we literally had moving trucks outside and could not negotiate because our movers were on the clock and our old leases were already ended. Management gave us a discount when moving in and then forgot and tried to charge us fees on the rent portion that we did not pay (which was the discount amount). Maintenance requests were pushed off for weeks at a time. Our AC went out for 2 days with 80+ degrees outside and they would not send someone to fix it (after 3 phone calls) because it was on the weekend. The items that maintenance is given to fix things are cheap. and we have had to replace items that maintenance brought because they simply were the cheapest and most ineffective fix (lightbulbs, toilet flap, etc.). They have torn apart the space under our sink because there was a leak that they did not fix properly the first three times we asked them to fix it, and it was only addressed because the people beneath us said they had water coming into their kitchen. They left a complete mess in our bedroom after 3 months of letting them know that the ceiling fan (one of only 2 fans in the whole house) was not working. The gate is a selling point for the complex, but it is broken more than it is not. When we requested for a new filter because the AC was not working properly, they dusted off the old one and put it back in.Any apartment that is charging as much as the Saxony is, should have an efficient and effective maintenance and management crew that can address resident issues - The Saxony does not. I am extremely disappointed in the Saxonys performance over this past year and a half, and I will not be signing a new lease when mine is up.

It’s crazy how much work maintenance is creating for them selves i over heard maintenance saying that they are not organized in this situation so everyone is passing the blame for 2 weeks I haven’t had water in my kitchen I explained I have no money to continue eating out due to having to find living arrangements since 2-15-21 due to storm I still have no water in kitchen and all they have to do is change faucet to stop leak the office ignores calls I tried to explain my frustration to Karen in the front desk and explain how frustrating the situation is and by the tone she doesn’t care because she is going home to water. I guarantee they won’t offer no discounts for not being able to use everything you pay for.their is 28 days this month and half the month I had no water no heat or power. With that being said put urself in ur residents position that isn’t working who don’t have money to pay a deductible to get food they lost in the storm who don’t have extra money to buy water to cook just show some compassion.

Only been here for a month and already having problems. Someone keeps trying to open my garage which makes the door get jammed. I have asked for them to look at security footage to apprehend the perpetrator, but nothing has been done until now. They are often rude when I report the issue. And if they tell you maintenance will look at it on Monday, most probably it’s not going to get done until Thursday. Their favorite excuse is “we are in a pandemic “. well, that’s exactly why i want my problem to be fixed at one attempt rather than having the maintenance staff work on it again and again! And how does taking a look at security footage relate to the pandemic? And did their maintenance staff resign because of the pandemic? Actually, more people need employment in the pandemic - hire more staff if it takes you 4 days to resolve an issue that occurs again and again. Who knows what problems I might face in future and whether they’ll be any help at all.

My experience with the office talking to people has never been bad. Always seems like they care, like they wanna help and there is something to be said about that. The apartments themselves could be a lot better (old sinks and appliances, cheap/ old countertops, old carpets) . The grounds around could be a lot better (muddy all the time) . Maintenance is a joke but it is covid 19 times so maybe thats it.Being stuck here during covid 19 has been a nightmare tbh, but all things considered, this place could do a lot worse. One thing: Its owned by a huge cooperation in the midwest and they actually own a ton of properties specifically in the immediate area, which is a turn off for me. They own the whole block and then some, which means there is just less incentive for them to be competitive.

Office staff is completely negligent. When asked a simple question they provide incorrect info. This blunder cost me upwards of $1500. Any future residents should know that even if there is a global pandemic, the Saxony will still charge you for amenities you cannot use. I hope you like hearing your neighbors at all hours of the day, the walls and floors/ceilings are paper thin. The gates are broken more often than not so dont get used to any kind of security. Cars get broken into often here and of course the one time I left my wallet in my car, it was stolen. No joke. If you enjoy throwing you money away to a greedy un-sympathetic landlord, the Saxony is the place for you!Edit: 5/23/21 - The saga continues. 8 months after moving out we receive a phone call stating we owe them upwards of $750 for new carpet... why are we just now hearing about this? Because the staff is so incompetent they were sending the bill to, get this, our old apartment! We don’t live there any more. Steer clear of this place.

The management is terrible. They do not care about their residents. The customer service is by far the worst I have ever experienced. PLEASE believe ALL of the bad reviews. They are spot on. They are not exaggerated or inaccurate. Here’s my story. We originally moved into the first floor in late 2020. The insulation in the apartments is terrible. You can literally hear every foot step your neighbors make above you and if they have young kids your stay here will be intolerable. We ended up transferring to the 3rd floor, paying  an $1100 transfer fee. We gave management one and a half months notice that we wanted to transfer. During this time we asked management several times if we could view the apartment. We were told the apartment wasnt ready. We finally received an email from corporate advising of our move in date. The day of our move in we went to the office to pick up keys and were told the maintenance staff had our keys. This was at 9 am on the day of our move-in and our movers were due to arrive at 9:10 am. When we went to the apartment sight unseen because they kept telling us the apartment was unavailable to view, it was full of maintenance personnel installing ALL appliances  (refrigerator, microwave, dish washer, ceiling fan, washer & dryer and electrical switch covers). Absolutely ridiculous. The day of move in! They had a month and a half notice to prepare the apartment.  Our movers had to maneuver around several maintenance personnel, boxes and tools. This made the process take much longer and the movers were being paid by the hour. Not to mention making it next to impossible to social distance during a PANDEMIC. Absolutely outrageous and unprofessional that apartment management was scrambling to finish all of these critical things on  the day of move in!The apartment was also filthy. The bathtub was full of dirty water and clogged. The bathroom floors were also filthy. The base boards throughout the entire apartment were dirty. The ceiling fan in the guest bedroom was full of DUST. Not to mention the blinds were old, broken and covered in thick dust. After contacting corporate they came back several days later and replaced the blinds. They fixed some of things that needed to be fixed, which should have already been completed prior to our move in date. Had they done a standard walk through and inspection that is standard operating procedure for virtually all reputable apartments before someone new moves in, these things should have been previously taken care of. How could you lease an apartment, expect someone to pay the rent we are paying and not have the apartment ready? Inexcusable!Once the maintenance crew cleared out after several hours they left the apartment in even worse shape than when we first saw it . They left a  dirty sponge and dirt in the kitchen sink, dirty foot prints on the kitchen floors and dirty counters. They also left the bathroom, bathtub and floor absolutely filthy.I called the front office and they sent house keeping to clean up the disgusting mess they left behind. Knowing and uncaring that we would see it because we were still in the process of moving. We as consumers saw things that should never have been seen! The unprofessionalism and lack of customer service or caring was unbelievable. In addition to all of this, the entry gates are always broken and left wide open. Residents mail boxes have been broken into and they have  been left unrepaired for several months. Residents bikes are being stolen off of balconies. With as much as they charge for rent, one would think they would have security guards or at the least an on-site courtesy police officer, but I guess that would be too logical. After sharing my horrible experience, management only offered 3 days free rent. We contacted the corporate office with videos and pictures and all they offered was $200 off of our $1400 month rent for our inconvenience. The Corporate office has done the absolutely BARE minimum to rectify the situation.I would not refer or recommend this complex.

This complex was terrible, from day one, literally. The master bath flooded without being used, ended up flooding into the bedroom. Took them THREE days to fix. They didnt check anything when the previous residents moved out, their dishes were still in cabinets. They advised before moving that my apartment was upgraded, it was not. The stove was older than me and ended up literally blowing up at the connection from the wall, that took TWO WEEKS to replace. My car got robbed, they didnt care and then took another week to replace my gate opener which was stolen out of the car during the break in. I never got a gate code for visitors, they lies and said T-Mobile had it blocked and would never resolve. Maintenance is super slow, important or not. The gym opener didnt work. Walls are EXTREMELY thin, you will hear everything. This place is not worth living in for more than a year. Ive lived here two years and cannot wait to move out.Although I do love my apartment, the appliances are outdated and things are slowly starting to fall apart (blinds dont work, bathtub is peeling). The complex itself is pretty trashy. The pool is run down, and the gates that are supposed to keep the complex secure are ALWAYS broken, leaving it open for randos to come in. I just got an email from the front office saying that vehicles have been broken into and all they tell us to do is lock our doors and take out personal belongings. But they dont address the real issue about the gates constantly being broken.I say it is only worth living in for a year because they jack up your rent a CRAZY amount. I started off at $995 a month, then after I renewed, my rent was bumped to $1130. They only care about giving new residents a fair price, but dont care about the residents who have been loyal for over a year.It is just a bummer apartment complex because it could be really nice, but management doesnt seem to care about the major issues and instead worry more about issues such as fining you $50 for accidentally leaving your VALET trash can outside your door.So if you choose to live here, do yourself a favor and only live here for 1 lease, and DONT renew and move somewhere else.

The leasing office was recently remolded. It looks great, meanwhile, the rest of the community looks horrible. Poorly trained maintenance workers will do things like stand in your bed to fix a window. They bang on your door all hours of the day and night to address issues originating from the apartment above or below you. Yes, I know this sounds ridiculous! Be prepared to receive notices of maintenance issues/inspections that will not be completed in the allotted time (usually a 7-day window). The gates never work, so vehicles are stolen or vandalized regularly. Be prepared to plunge your toilet, or call maintenance every time you use the restroom. Appliances are from the 1970s. The carpet is cheap. The breezeways are disgusting. Homeless people sleep in the sauna, so be careful if you are working out at night/early mornings. Ive lived here since February 2017. Its a very quiet community. If it wasnt for me occasionally seeing them, I wouldnt know I have neighbors. Its the kind of place that if you take your parents to, you can say, see, Im doing well for myself. I live in a huge 2 bedroom and probably pay 300 a month less than similar sized apartments in the area. I have a HUGE kitchen, and a pretty big bathroom. My living room is a decent size as well, and I have one of the biggest porches Ive seen in an apartment in the Dallas area.Pros- The appliances arent brand new, but they work perfectly fine. I dont care if my dishwasher is brand new as long as it works. (I think thats why my rent stays low!)- They provide a washer and dryer in the apartment as part of your lease, and maintenance of it is covered.- Cable is also provided complimentary, which saves me money.- Every time Ive had to call maintenance, Ive gotten a response within 48 hours.- The package system with the lockers allows me to work as late as I need to without rushing home to get a package before the office closes.- The staff has always been friendly to me. The grounds are well kept.- They have a deal with one of the local pizza places where they come to the front gate and allow you buy a $5 dollar medium pizza, about once every other month. Its really convenient to come home and see a dinner option right there.- Unless you park like youre crazy, they really dont bother you about your car. (I used to live in a place where they would threaten to tow you if you got within a month of your safety inspection expiration.) I live by the parking garage so my friends never have trouble finding a spot when they visit.- Its literally 2 blocks from the Addison bar scene, close enough to walk but far enough to never have to deal with the noise or craziness of that area.Cons- The application process is strange. I think theres a committee or something that decides whether to let you move in. When you move in, you can only pay with a money order, not a check. And then it switches, you can only pay via check/debit card and NEVER use a money order again. (at least thats how it was 2 years ago)- Theres not enough tables/trees for shade at the pools, so when its really hot, its only bearable in the evenings.- The gates randomly break and stay open. They do get fixed all the time, but it keeps happening. All in all, I keep staying here because the rent is low, especially compared to the places around me. Any lower and I would have sacrifice personal safety and cleanliness. But the Saxony is very clean and very safe overall. I honestly cant think of any reason why anyone would want to leave.

I think that it is an okay place to live.Pros:Decent areaMost of the residents are young professionalsCons:-- Overpriced. If you are okay with that, then fine, but know that it is priced too high-- Dishwasher did not work and was never replaced although I received two notices that it will be here any day well, months later, my lease ended and no working dishwasher.-- Unprofessional office staff. I just dont deal with them a lot because I dont trust or respect their work ethic-- Please stay firm on getting the answers to all the details of the lease term you could possibly think of. Google a list to be sure you know everything, because they are going to brush over anything they can. They will try to quick talk you to not give you all the specifics. I hate that. I cant trust people like that because you are still going to be consequenced if you did not ask everything you need or know anything that you will be affected by. Dont worry about asking questions. Its your own money, not theirs. Be sure you know what you are getting into.

I have lived in these apartments for 3 years now. I have never once had any of the problems that others are saying they are experiencing. The rent is pricy, but I would expect that with the location and amenities provided (washer/dryer, glassed in shower, fire place, crown molding. vaulted ceilings, etc). My kitchen appliances could use an upgrade, but they work fine and I cant complain. Any time I have had an issue, the office has been quick to help. This is a very quiet community and I never feel like I am in danger. The only complaint I have is parking is rough if you get home past 9, but there really isnt anything they can do about this since they are land locked. I can always find a parking spot in the parking garage, but I live on the other side of the complex. This really isnt a big deal though because I dont mind getting 5 minutes of exercise. Thank you for a wonderful renting experience! I would definitely rent here again!

Cannot say enough good things. first, the apartments have a luxe feel but without being too impersonal like some of the other luxury style apartments that have no charm. it feels homey while still being pretty chic. I haven’t lived here for long so it’s not a full review but I’ll say all of my experiences with the leasing office/maintenance have been so good. put in 3 requests yesterday and they all got completed today PLUS I got a phone call telling me they were about to be done. and my experience touring/leasing was great. I’m super young & young looking and like to bring my mom with me when I’m hunting so most places don’t take me serious and just assume I have no career. I’ve literally been denied BEFORE applying at places who asked me “do you at least work part time?” meanwhile I have a full time career. but saxony never made me feel out of place (: just hoping the summers aren’t too bad!

Ill start with the most serious issue with the Saxony apartment, which is that they violate multiple federal laws in their application and living process. As someone with special needs and as a real estate attorney, I see this all the time, so Ive come to expect it, but the Saxony is in a special class of its own. As an applicant, they have ridiculous and excessive documentation requirements, including multiple interviews even after sending them doctors reports of your condition. Then, they institute pet policies and attempt to apply them to service animals, which is a direct ADA violation under the reasonable exception law. Ive already filed an ADA discrimination complaint for their horrendous behavior, and I have a meeting with HUD officials to discuss their history of behavior, but if you have special needs, I highly recommend looking elsewhere because they dont want you here.As for the apartment, well, I live directly across from a drug dealer so my apartment smells like weed all of the time and I hear knocking/yelling throughout the day and night as users look for their dealer. Its ridiculous. Of course the complex does nothing about it.The gym is an absolute joke. Anyone who says different has never been or is a Richdale employee. All the equipment is 10+ years old and in poor condition. They dont even offer basic equipment like a bench press or a squat rack. No barbells, and the dumbbells only go to up 50lbs. All of this is included in your $40 amenity package that they wont mention until youre signing your lease. The parking spaces are incredibly small and for some reason theyve installed curb stops when they already have curbs, so getting in and out is even more difficult. Youll undoubtedly be nicked by someone. Ive been here less than a month and have found 3 new marks on my car.I was told my apartment would have carpet, which is better suited for my service animal, but of course, when I first open the door, its hardwood. So hes had to be retrained to be able to do his requirements with a different flooring setup because hardwood presents problems for his tasks. Wouldve been great to have not been lied to.They have an absolutely ridiculous package pickup system. They dont allow door to door deliveries, so I hope you enjoy leaving work early or using your lunch break to stop by the office because your package will never be home when you get here. Its also a ridiculous check in check out package system, but they normally forget to check your package out so you will get multiple emails reminding you of a package that you picked up days ago. Its a terrible system thats inconvenient for the residents and causes unnecessary work for the employees and only results in frustration for everyone.Overall, terrible apartments with terrible policies. You shouldnt even bother looking here. Im really looking forward to the upcoming lawsuits with them as it will be a great opportunity to improve the living conditions for other people with needs. Good luck finding somewhere else to live.

I’ve been living here since December of 2018 and for the first month it was great, but lately it’s been horrible. Maintenance requests are never completed in a timely manner. Even though their maintenance crew is very nice and always greets everyone the staff in the office is the one to blame. They’re the ones taking orders and not fulfilling. They’ve asked us to leave the pool area before 10pm, when the pool doesn’t close till 10pm making it seem like they are racially profiling. This is completely unacceptable. Very unhappy here and can’t wait to move out. The staff in the office is horrible.

The management, led by Shannon, is a great group. They are cordial and try to accommodate all requests as soon as possible. I have had no problems. In fact, when I had surgery recently, one of the staff even delivered a package to me because I wasnt mobile enough to walk or drive.Maintenance is usually prompt, but this is a very large property, so sometimes they get swamped and you might have to wait a while, and that is understandable. It is a good atmosphere and I know my neighbors, which is a good thing. I have been here almost a year.I like the property although some signs of aging should be taken care of. My rent just went up considerably and I am not too happy about it. I feel like the property should get some upgrades before they raise rent by that much.

I recently had a tour of the apartment by a young friendly lady Twee! Who was new to the job and was very helpful and very accommodating? Unfortunately, there weren’t any single beds available and I opted for a 2bedroom. But the same night I did see a single bed available online for the selected date I intended to move. Next days I went to the agent to sign the lease document. Unfortunately, the lady who served me before was busy with some other customers and I was helped by some other people. And when I tried to sign the lease they were like that available apartment is only available after 10 days. I was like it says online it available to move in, for the selected date I choose. Rather than admit there was a mistake on the system or their part. They really talked down to me and made it sound like what’s online meant that you get it after 10 days and nothing dot to do with what’s online.Extremely unprofessional and very disappointed with the way the management behaved. The apartments are nice but there is an unnecessary cost added to your bill like e.g forced cable channels. Be prepared to have another $100 added easily.

So far I have been happy with the security. You always see guards driving and walking around the complex and the gates are always closed.

I love these apartments, the grounds are very well maintained, plenty of covered parking (my building is attached to the large garage). Its also very quiet I have even slept with the window open its so quiet. These are very spacious apartments as well. Plenty of closet and cabinet space in every room. I also love the fireplace, I used it as much as I could this winter! The gym is nice, they have a Pelaton bike, which is awesome! TONS of great restaurants near by, there is also a cute walking/running trail near by and its also close to Addison Circle where they have fun free events year around. (Holiday lights, Kaboom Town, Taste Addison, Free movies, live music). The property is older compared to everything going up in the DFW area, but you also cant beat the square footage and location. youre close to all major highways and centally located to access any part of Dallas .

I read the reviews before moving in. I brought up the concerns of security after reading some of the reviews. I was told by the manager then (before signing my lease) that security cameras will be placed around the property. Never happened in my 16 months of stay. Its a neat property; maintenance is helpful and usually prompt. Too many bells and whistles to go through to sign lease with this property. Also, some of the lease office team-members have I dont give a d*mn attitude after you sign the lease; some members are really nice though.Dont expect your deposit back in full even if you leave your unit cleaned by professionals. The money I spent on cleaning + the money they deducted from my deposit = total deposit I paid. There was no damage on any part of the unit when I moved out.I would say you can find nicer properties with better value and service for equal/less price.

Slightly dated but spacious with lots of storage. This is the only redeeming quality about the Saxony apartments. There is limited parking and the spaces are very small, your car will get door dings thats a guarentee. The gates are broke most of the time, so forget security. My code to let people in the complex also never worked and the 4th time I called abt it they essentially told me thats your problem, we give up. I was charged fees for not having renters insurance 5 months in a row despite paying for my policy in full. Every month I called the front office (I would have to call multiple times because they never answer) and even corporate with no call back. I was told to pay the fees to avoid any additional charges but that I would be refunded. Its been months now and they finally stopped charging me the fee for lack of insurance but Im never getting my money back for the fees I already paid. The office manager is the most incompetent and rude supervisor Ive ever worked with and she is a straight up liar. I advise you dont waste money here as there are plenty of affordable complexes in the area.

DO NOT RENT AT THE SAXONY.....IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD.Here are multiple reasons on why you should not rent there.1) THE PARKING-- The parking is horrible. If youre like me and you work the night shift, good luck finding parking without having to walk 100 miles. They have a parking garage, but my apartment was at the end of the complex... the parking garage was probably a 20 minute walk for me. Which is not safe to me walking that much at night in the middle of Dallas. Also, the parking spots are so tiny, most likely in the year that youre gonna live there, you will at least hit the pole once. If you look at all the cars parked there, most of them have a dent on the side with white paint... which is from the small parking spots.2) GATED COMMUNITY MY BUTT-- They say that have a gated community and yes, they have gates... but they NEVER work. So what is the point?3) MAILBOXES-- The whole year I lived there I probably could only open my mailbox on my own once. They keys always broke inside and if they didnt they just never worked. Every time I needed to check my mail, I had to call maintenance.4) OFFICE EMPLOYEES-- The employees that work in the office are snobby and rude... especially the office manager Shannon.5) THE SECURITY DEPOSIT-- When you move out, good luck getting your security deposit back. Shannon does the walk throughs and she wont let you be there while she does it.... Is that not ridiculous? There was maybe one spot on the carpet that I couldve replaces for cheap myself... but she decided she wants to replace the WHOLE carpet and charge ME $1,103.34... I know carpet is not that expensive!! If you try to call her and ask her about to, she wont even answer any questions you have. She just tells you to call the corporate office which is is OMAHA, NEBRASKA and they dont even answer their phones when you call!!!!!SO AGAIN, IM WARNING YOU. My experience: Leasing and management who dont sympathize and are rude, parking after 8 is horrible and car ports may be breaking apart since one fell over during my lease period, maintenance is great (hence the two star rating). During the spring season of 2015, we had lots of rain which then led to an infestation of ants in my bedroom. I sent a request in, then personally notified the leasing office and was told that pest control is available once a week and will handle it. A week went by and the ants were still in my bedroom, so I called the leasing office and the excuse they gave me was: cause of the continuous heavy rain, the bug treatment is washing away. That somewhat makes sense but my question was, where are they coming through?. The response they gave me was that ants are small and can crawl through tiny areas. That definitely makes sense but its not an excuse I accepted so I called corporate (Richdale). Corporate was very helpful and said that they would notify The Saxony of my concern and have them reseal the windows. After that, no more ants! My girlfriend lived across the street at Hyde Park; the only thing Im going to say about that is, I envied her.

We had beg bug issues right after move in, but according to the bed bug addendum in the lease, we are responsible for the remediation fees which they didnt remind you after you report, also you dont have any choice of how to treat this matter. until one day you will get a bill ask you to pay the whole fee. Im willing to pay per what I signed, but all I am asking is to show me the prove that they have inspected our apartments and surrounding ones, we are the only infestation one according to their words. or otherwise the source of the issue might be from neighbors but they are not aware yet, then we become the first to report. But NO, I ask for reports NO, they can not release any information regard to this matter except the invoice and bill. So whatever the resident relationship specialist said is the truth, even there is no solid evidence. We cant get touch with the pest control company, the inspect came while we are home but he didnt tell any thing about it. And left after 5mins inspection. He came to our apartment directly at about 5pm that day, I highly doubt that he inspected surrounding ones after. I just need some sorts of proof but the answer is NO, should I pay the bill without knowing if Im being fooled ?!

I’ve been living in The Saxony since April or May. One particular staff member named Shannon has been particularly difficult to work with though. When I call the office after I leave work, which is typically after 5pm, with any questions or concerns I have she is incredibly rude and unhelpful. I’m typically not the kind of individual to leave a review, but after my last call with her today, I felt it was necessary to say something. The times I have spoken with Shannon, have been about a missed referral bonus, maintenance issues or issues with the gate on celestrial which is the gate entrance closest to my apartment. When I told her the gate wasn’t working today, she told me someone is coming to look at it because some of the key fobs aren’t working. I asked if I could get a new fob and she responded back saying it would be a gander to know what fobs would work. While if that’s true, the tone in her voice like the many times I’ve spoken with her was unkind and somewhat sarcastic...which makes for a frustrated resident. I’m not sure if it’s the calls after 5pm that cause Shannon to lack a sense of customer service, but there is no chance I will live here again due to the lack professionalism the staff portrays.

They require you to have an apartment. Never had any issues with neighbors.During the last 2 years some not pleasant things happened - management reported about an in-house shooting which was scary and then one of my neighbor reported stolen car.Although its gated but west side gate was broken more often than working so i dont think Saxony was a gated community during my stay atleast.Parking is not plenty so you may need to look some times. You have convenient option of renting a garage and apartment rent is not high. When I went to the office to tell the manager, Shannon, she was like ohhh the apartment is vacant, so it doesnt matter. It has gotten pretty bad, I was so terrified I had my apartment full of cameras and a brand new alarm system from simplisafe. The week of 12/11/17 I reported there was a leak coming from the apartment on top of mine in the laundry room, they came and fixed it in like 5 days, BUT they left the washer and dryer in the middle of the hallway blocking the entrance to the apartment, after like 5 days of reporting it to the manager and the manager constantly lying about it getting fixed, I called the emergency line for someone to come fix all of that mess, this happened 12/16. When the guy finally put the washer and dryer in its place, he broke the on button for the dryer, I MOVED OUT ON 1/2/2018 AND IT IS STILL BROKEN... Just the first week in Addison, Texas and Saxony apartments of Richdale has ensured that life turns into a nightmare. We are a family of 3 and thinking that the school is next door, we signed a lease agreement with Saxony for 11 months. With a week to go before the actual move-in date, I requested for cancellation of the agreement since my wife’s work location has changed to Plano and she cannot drive due to a problem in her leg. All we were told is that since I have signed the lease, I am now responsible for the entire duration of 11 months as per the lease! Wow, so this means that an all new apartment with us yet to move-in cannot be re-listed or re-rented for the next 11 months! I have made a humble request multiple times to Saxony/Richdale folks, for some consideration as we are a middle class family and new to Texas. Our request went to deaf ears, as no one has even moved an inch so far. My only fault is that in the lack of clear explanation from Saxony, I had completely missed reading between the lines of such a high-stake-consequence-heavy legal rule in Richdale’s lease agreement. Now the leasing office says corporate needs to decide and corporate says that once the lease is signed, leasing office is responsible. I even requested for alternatives such as penalty/ subletting but not a single person in such a big corporate body has reached out. Is this what happens in a free country? Is this what a huge corporate body like Richdale does to people even in the face of personal emergencies? Hats off!!

I read the reviews on-line and was seriously concerned about the quality of professionalism. Initially I thought the reviews were from angry people who needed a platform to vent but now I see this management company doesnt operate with consistency or integrity. There has been no concern for the consumer in regards to their livelihood nor has there been and empathy or concern for the anxiety that comes with moving. Having to wait weeks for a response when we all have deadlines to meet that could ultimately leave one homeless shows absolutely NO concern for the potential client. You cant get ANYONE with any type of authority to answer your calls or address your concerns. This is not a place that anyone whould want to live. When i moved in, the carpet was old with stains, in the kitchen there was signs of a leak under the kitchen sink, they covered all the mold by painting over the mold. after the first month being, i could not stand the horrible smell that came out of my kitchen,, due to the leakage under the sink, the board was all soaked up with the water and mold was growing under the sink. I submitted the maintenance request to have them take care of the mold, there JOKERS painted over the mold again! so i took off work and went to the office to speak with the manager. The manager told me that her maintenance guys had told her that there was no mold under the sink. I had to call corporate, they gave me the same response the manager gave me. I took picture and emailed them to corporate, threaten them that i was going to call the health department.,,They sent a whole crew in my apartment, i sat there and watched them as they ripped that wet board under my sink. It took 3 days worth repair the stink was horrible.they let it sit for 2days for under the sink to dry before they came back to cover the space ubder the sink.My room mates car was damaged by their landscaping people, when we went to the office with the pictures to show them, they lied to as and stated that someone from corporate will call us as see how we can be compesated. No one called, so my roommate called the corporate, corporate did nothing. they stated that we sould have never packed where we packed and that was in the covered area. When we moved out, these thieves took my $500 deposit for stains on the carpet. I thought it was a joke. I had submitted my check list when i moved in. I recorded the stains were in the livingroom carpet. So i reached out to the office to dispute the bill. but they could not come up with my check list. They refuesed to mail me one because i lost my copy while i was moving. These people charged the previous tenant for the damages of the carpet, yet they charged me again. I wrote corporate, spoke to diferrent people but no one helped to. All i wanted was a copy of my checklist so i can have something to use in my defence..THESE THIEVES WOULD NOT AND REFUESED TO MAIL OR FAX ME THE COPY. So i asked the receptionist how did you know that i am looking for Tammy,She hung up the phone, so i called back asked for her name, she refuesed to give me her name, she stated that she was just a receptionist, I had to record this because i did not expect this from such a big company, so i had to have a record of it, I will post it online.!!!!I never received my deposit yet i left that apartment cleaner than how it was when i moved in, Ofcourse the lease agent who assisted me when we moved in was not working for the company because i showed him thise stains and he advised me to make sure i put them down on the check list.THE PLACE IS NOT SAFE. THERE WE ALOT OF CARS AND APARTMENTS BROKEN INTO WHILE I WAS LEAVING THERE. I HAD TO PAY FOR A GARAGE.I will recommend HYDE PARK AND THE COURTS any day, they are just next to Saxony HYDE PARK AGENTS TREAT YOU LIKE FAMILY, their maintenance team is great, i stayed there for 5yrs, THE COURTS even better, its safe, they have cameras almost everywhere. they have underground garage for residents. so you know your cars are safe and its FREE!!!STAY AWAY FROM SAXONY!!!

I lived in this complex a few months back and there are a couple of things to note:a) There are indeed some theft, car break-ins and even house break-ins that happen not so infrequently. But this is not even the deal breaker for me as I never leave valuables in my car.b) Parking can be a night mare, but again you can find one in complex within a 2-3 min walk. But the spots are too narrow and you can expect door dings and bumper scrapes all the timec) Most importantly, the apartment manager is incompetent and often dishonest. Hopefully if you choose to rent here you never have issues and never deal with them. But if you do, make sure you write e-mails all the time and have documented communication. I cant stress enough about the dishonest part. There is no possible way to escalate and their corporate office folks in Omaha are not that great eitherTL;DR - Nice location, some concern for theft, parking issues (spots and size of spots), third-rate management.

I was applying for a place in this apartment complex everything is done in the corporate office and the application process is very tedious and stressful a lot of people these days do not have good credit especially in this economy even though I had the income for the place we got denied because of our credit well on the bright side we are getting the admin fee back but if you dont have good credit do not waste your time applying they give you all this running around asking for three months of bank statements and paychecks stubs letter of verification just to tell you know at the end even if you have the income everyone in the office said you cant live in the community

Not a beautiful place any more. I am staying here for last 3 years and recently things are changed a lot.Crime rate is high in this neighborhood. Somebody has stolen my car few months back. Multiple cars theft has been reported . If you want to stay here, make sure to add a GPS tracking security system in your car.

After viewing the video of the employees attitude and how she disrespected the tenant, I will not recommend my family or anyone in the Dallas area to these apartments.

Im a year old and there are things that I really dont like1.- the hallway of my unit is always dirty2.- cars that park in the handicap area without even being it, in my building there is a car that blocks the ramp and has been parked badly for a dayThere is no one to watch or report3.- the entrance doors (gate) are always broken4.- The green areas are very neglected as well as most of the dirty open spacesIt really is a nice unit but very neglected

Terrible customer service, no one in the office is really there to help or solve a problem. The manager has no respect when addressing the public being rude and responding reluctantly. Living here is much worse because they do not care about anything, for some repair or something damaged in the apartment you have to wait more than a month if you are lucky to be answered or directly look for the maintenance man. 5 days after the snowfall, they dont answer the phone or emails and I have to live in an apartment with the roof falling into pieces and wet rooms and without hope of answering. If they are reading this do not move for the world

A month without mail boxes since they were vandalized, the manager named Sharon is a grocer and not very empathetic. Her solution is that I pick up my mail at the post office. deliver the mail and it does not arrive complete, keeping the gate bad, it works one week if and another or and I mean Saxony.

Very poor maintenance, they do not speak Spanish, the manager who is the only one with hair, Guero, an adult woman who speaks Spanish, is very arrogant, the apartments are very old, they do not respond to emails or calls, the house is not safe for to live. They take care of you in Spanish and after living there no one speaks Spanish. Im still waiting for a maintenance response and nobody solves anything. All those who visit us say that the facilities are very old for what they pay. In my first month of living here I referred 2 friends to these apartments and the manager was arrogant only because they spoke Spanish. Terrible service hopefully give a solution. Pools without maintenance, entrance gate decomposes very often, Amazon packages or any package is stolen, mailboxes are not safe, a lot of theft in correspondence and packages. Aside from the Covit that everything is by phone, nobody can help you because they all speak English, they make charges to your account and nobody gives a solution since nobody speaks Spanish. They rent to people who speak Spanish and nobody can hear your reports. Watch out! Very bad service. I do not recommend it to live.

On this property I felt very aggressed today by the manager has PESIMO customer service I went to cancel the request made by an apt. There I paid for what I was required yesterday but unfortunately I had not read the google reviews and this badly qualified I found the surprise that cars are stolen a lot and there is bad attention in the administration request the refund of my money and They tell me they cant give it back to me because of the apt. It was stopped for several days when it was overnight Monday and today I canceled and more that the request was for October 26 are thieves and more that brings me the big surprise that the visitor parking a car They had stolen the 4 tires on the previous night and that the cars were also stolen a lot, thank God I could not get over there and the manager is an arrogant person and he needs to study to have excellent customer service this is to be sent to wash dishes instead of being the manager of a building.
