While on an Apartment search, I passed the Solaris Apartments 11515 Leisure Dr. 75243. They were nice from the outside so I inquired about availability. I was greeted warmly shown around the property and shown a beautiful unit, so I applied online to live there. While online I saw that they had a smaller unit for less than the one I was shown so I asked if it was available and was told it was. I paid the fee of $250(application and administration), and was soon approved. From that point there were a number of things that I had to submit but I still had not seen the smaller unit. I kept asking and was told they did not have one available to view at the time. My lease was up at the place I am living so I had to give notice.Solaris kept calling me to sign the lease, but I asked again, and again to view it before I could sign the lease.By this time I have been given an apartment number and told to have electric cut on. I called and they said they would show me something similar, so I went to the office twice. The second time when I got there the manager said no, and furthermore the apartment they promised me, and gave me the number to, would not be available they would put me next door for $50 more due to upgrades. I felt trapped and like I would be homeless if I didnt accept this since I had already given up my place, changed my address to the first place they gave me, transferred my cable/internet and all. I finally saw the place the day I was to move in, and it looks like a run down motel room.Theres a big gapping hole filled with filth where the washer/Dryer should go. Theres trash from the previous tenants under the kitchen sink. The sliding mirror door is broken on the closet in the bedroom. Theres a panel at the front door with ill placed foam that is half painted. The weather stripping is hanging on the door to the patio The patio cement is filthy theres dirt, broken glass, and debris. I signed the lease but I can not live there. I am literally sick that I signed and put my money towards this.I tried to email and call ValCap before I signed, but got no response I have lived in the same house for the last 8 years but after a divorce during Covid, I could not afford the rent increase. I had no idea it would be this bad. I would like a better apartment with actual upgrades or the the apartment that I originally saw at the original price quoted.

When I first moved in here almost a year ago things were great. However, things have gone progressively downhill since. They are rude and very unprofessional. Ive sent the same email every month regarding an issue Ive been having for the past 3 months and each month they ask me to send the same documentation and assure me that it will be sent to corporate only for them to ask me to do the same thing again the next month. Id advise anyone considering this place to think again. Not worth the hassle for minor things. If you call to have your name put on the list for pesticide they dont do it. If you call about leaks in your apartment they do nothing think twice before moving here

I moved in March 2020. All of The front office staff are friendly, good people! Ms. Leona is a member of the office staff and she is very attentive and professional. Any concerns I have she has helped me to address quickly and efficiently. The manager and staff send out helpful emails to the apartment community advising of rental assistance resources for those in need, pantry resources, etc.. they give away different raffles in the front office such as TVs, gift cards, etc to show appreciation. Overall not a bad place to live!

Solaris could be a beautiful property but the lack of understanding, communication, and maintenance brings the property value down. There are no rules so dogs will literally poop at your front door. If you complain a lot they will stop answering the phone. They will say they will fix things but I’m still waiting on the smallest things to be fixed. I do not recommend and i will not renew my lease.

The management, office workers and maintenance has always been professional. I must say, I’ve always had kind & respectful neighbors...That’s why I enjoy The Solaris...Veronica S

I will definitely not be renewing my lease here I asked for the simplest thing to fixed. My AC unit was no longer working I immediately put in a request for it to be fixed as well as called the office to follow up. I was told they would get maintenance right on it. 5 o’clock comes around no one’s answering the phone now and maintenance is no where to be found. Mind you it’s now not only 95 outside but also now 95 degrees in my apartment!! Everyone knows a fan will do nothing for you if it’s the same temperature inside as well as outside. Absolutely ridiculous Texas heat is nothing to play with and I pay my rent. So I expect something like an AC unit to be fixed that same day and if not accommodations definitely should’ve been put in place!!!

Frankly, moving in I didnt expect much. However, management has been really responsive on maintenance requests, and pest control is pretty good. Only bugs in my place are the ones that snuck in from outside and thats not their fault. Not a fan of the single-pane windows which make it kinda expensive in the super-hot and super-cold weather.Neighbors are nice- these are regular working folks who are chill. My Amazon boxes dont get stolen.

For starters I would like to thank Erica and Sabrina in the leasing office for always being so kind, professional, and respectful to my during my stay at the Solaris. I have been staying at the property for Almost a year and looking to transfer to a bigger apartment when my lease comes to an end. I love my current apartment I just need bigger space and these ladies have been helping through the whole process. I ran into a little plumbing problem that I had to get plumber to come out to my apartment but the manager Erica made sure to send me in the right direction to get the issue resolved with management company. If I ever had to complain about anything Ms.Erica made sure to hear me out and help me find a resolution to my problems not that there were many. I enjoy my stay at the Solaris apartments and have been very happy here. The community is very quiet and neighbors are very respectful and welcoming. I will continue to live here. Be mindful that no matter what someone else negative comments are about the community may not be yours. Everyone’s experience will not be the same. Thank Ms.Sabrina and Ms.Erica you ladies are awesome.

Its quiet at night, calm during the day as well. I renewed my lease because I am comfortable here.

I lived in The Solaris from 2019 to March 2020, and it was by far the worst apartment I have ever lived in, period. The grounds are not maintained, and its quite dirty. I lived in what they call phase 3 that had covered parking, and I consistently was stepping over food people would dump out of their cars even though the dumpsters were just a few steps away. People will even leave trash around their door. This is probably why roaches are common.Ive never had roaches in my life, and at the Solaris it was like a breeding ground. I found several as soon as I had moved in, and it never got resolved. I contacted the office several times about this and they never actually tried to do anything. It was always the same excuse even when I talked to the manager Oh the exterminator will be there on Wednesday I had to spend a great deal of money out of my pocket just to make the space somewhat livable, but the problem was so bad that I actually never unpacked because the apartment was NOT home. I would just grab what I need out of boxes in an effort to keep my belongings sealed. However despite this I couldnt cook anything cause of the pests and had to always eat out. Was so embarrassing whenever company was over.Neighbors are loud, and will sometimes sit in their car blasting music. My neighbors above me were so consistently loud in fact that they were even threatened with eviction, however they grew smart and only made lots of noise at different times and would stop just long enough for security to not do anything, only to start again. Despite me recording how loud they were, and Im talking stomping around, letting their kids ride bikes inside, etc the office didnt do anything. Their solution in fact, was to try to move me to another unit, but by then I had like a month or two before I was moving out.The apartments also couldve cost me my life. I lived there when there was a huge fire on thanksgiving that made the news. Luckily I was still awake, and could visibly see all the smoke in my apartment so I knew to get out. None of the smoke detectors actually went off in my unit, even though by the time I left pitch black smoke was all up in there. Had I been sleep who knows what wouldve happened. Some of the neighbors around me spoke of the same thing, we were all clueless until we went outside to see roaring flames. The area as well is not exactly safe. But Forest Lane is kinda notorious for that. You will hear gunshots in the distance. I would not recommend going to any of the gas stations or stores in the area when its dark, unless youre going somewhere in Richardson close by. My car was also broken into, which I was very pleased with. So much for ground security. I would say you get what you pay for, but for the rent here (Too much for all the issues) youre better off looking elsewhere. The kicker is now I live far away from that area next to a uptown mall in consistently updated units, and yet still my rent is actually CHEAPER than The Solaris was. Just by around 20 bucks, but still its a real slap in the face. In short, if you want somewhere safe, quiet, and free of roaches dont move here. This is actually the first place I have seen that truly deserves most of the flack they get. I try to leave at least a positive if I can on my reviews but I truly cant think of any besides its easy enough to get a apartment that has washer and dryer hookups. Thats really it.Also yes, its true the office rarely answers their phone. Please please please look elsewhere, you can find a place that is better, cleaner, safer, quieter, and is probably cheaper like I did. Dont settle for The Solaris, else I will say its likely that you will have a very nightmarish year like I did. I could not be paid to live there.

My place has been roach infested since day 1. I have placed multiple maintenance requests to fix a broken part of my dishwasher, they have not fixed it. It is now flooding my kitchen. Several cars in my parking lot have been broken into. I have had two peeping toms peering into my apartment, the place is very poorly lit. I hear a very loud intermittent clacking sound coming from my bedroom ceiling, they have done nothing about it. It wakes me up at night. The door to one of my rooms is warped due to weather changes, but I have no confidence they will fix it since they have failed to complete the requests I have already placed. It is difficult to maintain a decent temperature inside because it is so poorly insulated, so my electric bill is astronomical. None of my outlets can actually hold a plug - barely tapping the wire is enough to unplug anything.

This community is horrible! The staff in the office seem nice and helpful when they’re trying to con you into signing a lease. Once you move in they’re rude and not helpful at all. They just give you the run around. You have to submit maintenance requests through the office staff (who don’t word them correctly at times) and the maintenance men don’t respond to the requests in a timely manner. I have been waiting three weeks for them to come fix a leak in my restroom that is causing black mold. (Not to mention I submitted a request for this problem LAST November and it was never fixed.) I notified them that hornets were somehow getting into my living room (I’m assuming through cracks in my windows and that within the past 24 hours I had to kill four of them that just appeared in my living room. They didn’t seem to have any sense of urgency or care that I have to stay with a friend so that I don’t get stung in my sleep.DO NOT MOVE HERE! You will surely regret it, like I do.

They are great! I put in a work order it is completed that afternoon or the next day. If I have an emergency work order they are there in 30 minutes or less. I complain about something its fixed automatically. Paying rent is super easy online and so is putting on work orders. They have yards for your pet if you live on the first floor and three dog parks to choose from. They also have a small but cool gym and a tanning bed. May not be in the greatest part of town but it is gated and no one bothers me! I went and did laundry at 12am and walked too and from my apartment half asleep to change it over and no one even so much as looked at me. Only recommendation is to know your UPS guy and make an agreement on where to put your packages when you get mail. If you can get them sent to your office I would just safer and less hassle. Post office does make you pick up your mail from time to time when the post office boxes get messed with which is for your safety which I like. Apartment is gated and requires a code to get in.

Id like to inform you on mistreatment by your represesntive Camille at your Solaris location. This happened today 12/29/2018 at 12:00pm. Your employee was extremely rude and refused to answer any questions I had and hung up in my face for asking for the corporate number. When I called back and spoke Leona, she was very helpful and understanding. Even offered to retrieve the corporate number for me but I had already researched and found the number on my own. I have had over 4 incidents of water leaks in my old apt that took almost 2 weeks to even start to fix and then there were more after they fixedit. I then transfer to a new unit and upon looking at the apt there were roaches. I was told they would be gone by the time I moved in but that wasnt the case. As well, I told the leasing office that my new refrigerator was not working and they NEVER fixed it. I had to go against the leasing office suggestions of just waiting for them to fix it, and the maintenance man Gerardo was very helpful and actually switched out the refrigerator from my old apt. I even made requests to have my bedroom fan fixed, they did not. And on top of all these issues that I did not create and the lack of addressing them in a timely manner, I was charged $250 for a transfer fee. I do not think that was an appropriate action and at the very least the leasing office representative should be spoken with on how to communicate with your tenants. I hope you have the ability to record phone calls to verify the conversation took place and the how I was treated. But I was told by the manager Aracelli that you do have audio recording in the office and that might be a big help to identify the incident. I would like to be contacted ASAP, in case I need to start making other arrangements.

If you like having apartment management that is impossible to get ahold of and will cost you plenty of money in towing fees then this is the place for you. In the 4 short months the I have been a resident here, I have had nothing but issues. The things that they advertise on their website are very inaccurate. The claim to have a dog washing station and a shaded area in the dog park area. They have neither. Those were the big things that sold us on this apartment. They say they are going to fix things and they do not. We are renting a 2 bed/2 bath apartment with upgraded features. Our upgraded dishwasher was not furnished to us when we moved in. We have requested it several times and it has yet to be furnished to us. We have attempted to request out weather stripping to get fixed with no luck of getting in touch with the management. Because the weather stripping is messed up our door swings open and our dogs can run out. Another resident maced one of my dogs because the door came open and he got out. Granted the other resident was behind the gate of the dog park and could have easily pulled his dog away but chose to spray mine with mace consequently getting it all over my sisters face and body causing her severe pain. This is the only apartment I have ever lived in that will tow your car or your quests car, with no warning, if you do not have a guest pass. My car was involved in and auto accident and had to be take to the shop where I was provided a rental car which obviously has no parking sticker on it. I went to get my rental on Friday straight after work, in Mesquite. By the time I got home the office was closed not affording me the opportunity to stop by the office and get a guest pass. Later that evening I had an emergency situation where I needed to get to the hospital as soon as possible. When I went down to get in my car it was gone. The Solaris towed my car with no warning and I was left to figure out another way to get to the hospital, where I ended up having emergence surgery and staying for days.EVERYTHING about these apartments is awful. Especially the management. Just to get them to answer their phone I had to call from my hospital phone because they would not answer calls from mine or my sisters cell phone. I asked to speak with a manager and was informed she was gone for the day, so I asked to have the manager call me tomorrow. Apparently she will be gone tomorrow as well. Anytime I have asked to speak with a Manager I am given the run around. If you want to enjoy where you live THE SOLARIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE APARTMENTS TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!!

I moved in here in March 2013, it was great considering I was a single mom. July 2013 my outside unit ac went out, I was without an ac for 3 days...yes in the middle of summer with a 6 year old. Even though I keep an extremely clean apartment, roaches are ridiculous...talk about the whole building infested. My upstairs shower has leaked twice causing water to come thru the electrical in my daughters downstairs closet. When reporting it to the office they claim that isnt an emergency. How is water and electricity not an emergency? So I filed a code complaint with the city of Dallas. Not to mention after you finally get maintenance to come out and they have to call contractors, contractors wait till about 4 to show up. Clearly these arent licensed and insured contractors. Shall I mention these apartments advertise a secure complex, yet the gates have been broke for well over a year. Caught a man trying to break in downstairs, called the cops and reported to the office. The same a week an older gentleman was attacked. Do you think they bothered sending out a memo to residence warning them of what had been going on, not for 3 weeks. Trying to get the office on the phone is like pulling teeth, then when you do they are rude as hell. Good luck with management or corporate even returning calls. Stay far far away.

My daughters live at these apartments. The management there has been the most uncooperative and unresponsive landlords I can imagine. They have had cars towed on at least 5 different occasions and yet, when my daughters are trying to get their parking permits, management will not respond and they lie about having responded. Maintenance requests have been ignored, and an appliance promised when they moved in was never provided and they were later told it was never promised, which was untrue. There is a resident there making threats to my daughters and management shows no care about the situation, although landlords have a duty to protect the safety of their tenants. I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place. They will be hearing from a lawyer about the towing situation. Do these people want return tenants? I dont think so.

I have been living here for over 1 yr and a half now and its horrible! Maintenance never fixes anything and when they do the head maintenance man argues with you about your problem trying to convince you that you dont have one. Roaches are everywhere and now the lawns and bushes have fleas in them. The employees are unorganized and dont care whether or not they move you into an apartment that is move-in-ready and the property manager is not only rude and treats you like a child when you complain verbally and in writing but will threaten you with police if you go up to the leasing office to complain! Which is against the law if ones rent is current (which mine is) and the tenant isnt being threatening to someones safety or vandalizing property (which I dont do either.) On top of the the corporate NEVER answers the phone and NEVER returns your call if you leave a voicemail! My family and I will be moving asap! This place was decent when we first moved in but now it is HORRIBLE! If I could give this place negative stars I would give an infinite amount of them if I could!Have a problem(s) with your apartment complex and you live in TX? Follow these steps!1. Write 2 letters (1 for you to keep and 1 for the manager) to the manager stating your problem give a reasonable amount of time (about 7-10 days) to get the problem fixed. Ask them to sign it so you have proof that they received it. (If they refuse write hand delivered to Insert managers name here on it also video recording the delivery is great too! They can capture tenants on camera and we have the right to do the same to them too!) Keep all of this for your records and remember BE POLITE! If you have legal matters over problems then you want to make sure that everyone knows you are not hot head or rude.2. Problem(s) wasnt fixed at all/properly? Write a SECOND letter (again make 2 copies one to mail and another to keep) giving them a reasonable amount of time to address the issue properly (about another 7-10 days from when they will receive the letter) and MAIL it CERTIFIED MAIL. Get all the bells and whistles for the delivery too all together it shouldnt cost any more than $8 at the post office. Keep your mailing receipts too3. Still no change? Get an attorney to write a 3rd letter stating that the complex has violated the lease by not fixing the problem you are having and you demand to be let out of the lease. Work with your attorney and tell him/her what you want to include in your demand.**REMEMBER!!!! This course of action should be taken IF your problem in your apartment is hazardous to you, your family, or your property! You wont be taken seriously if you cry wolf! Also remember to ALWAYS read your leasing contract on proper procedures to put in work orders and complaints that is the BEST way to make sure the complex is staying honest and it will help get you and your family out if the place doesnt keep their end of the agreement! Ive been at this residence since Jan 2014 by far the worst apt complex. My car was towed the third month of my lease and the management wanted nothing to do with my issue. The bug problem is out of control. The Solaris has pest control come every month to spray apts. No need to complain to management about neighbors trust me they really dont care. The GIRLS in the front office have no clue what they are doing and the manger is never on site when needed. Interior great!! Exterior could use some help. Corporate is a joke.

I enjoyed staying here up until today when they charged me $50 for a late fee, because now all of a sudden late fees are applied after the 3rd instead of after the 4th. I went to the office to pay today and the box had a sign on it that says that you will be charged $50 after the 3rd and $15 after that. i asked the receptionist about it and she told me that its been like that, when it hasn’t because last month and the month before, i paid my rent on the 4th and i didn’t have any late fees. I struggle with making it to the office when they open and before they close, because of my work schedule, since there is no drop box present. They are the ones that originally told me about the late fees being applied after the 4th. So please BEWARE that they like to change the grace period when it comes to paying rent without giving notice

Me and my wife moved in 6 months ago and our experience as far as the moving in process was great, the ladies in the office were very nice and caring and always updated me on my status of my application up until we were finally approved! i got a great deposit amount. they showed me my unit before we signed our lease contract and we loved the floor plan! when we moved in, we did see one or two roaches here and there but the pest control guy came in and ever since then, honestly we have yet to see them! and the ladies in the office did let us know that pest control does come out every Wednesday in case we ever need them again. since weve been here, we havent had any problems! and once our lease is up in a few months, we WILL be renewing! over all, GREAT PLACE ! Horrible place to live. My first year of living here was ok, not terrible... BUT then it was all downhill even when resigning my lease. The girls in the leasing office could not explain all the fees and verbiage on the lease agreement. I was told three different totals for what I would pay on the next upcoming payment after signing. Then after I signed the lease they produced documents saying that I would now be responsible for paying utilities in addition to my rent increase. Bought a new car and it got towed the same night that I bought it. My neighbors were selling weed next door so there was constantly random strangers around and about. ROACHES are BAD. I asked for my apartment to be treated and it only made it worse. The roaches started coming out of hiding... I would not live with roaches so I wanted to get OUT. They charged me $2000 at move out because I didnt want to live with the roaches for two more months (60 day notice). 6 days later after I moved out my grandmother told me she had sent me a birthday card to the apartment address. I called the leasing office and the girl on the phone said that they could escort me to the mailbox and open it for me. I show up and they tell me that they could NOT open the box because it would violate the new tenants privacy(moved out 6 days ago there... is no new tenant... the apartment shows to be still available online)Rent may be cheaper but definitely not worth it.

My lease is up in October. The thing that caught my eye were all the features for dogs. When I went, there was literally only ONE person helping me. It seemed great. I wasnt so much worried about the surrounding area because I lived in very nice neighborhoods and things still happened. 3 days upon moving into this place my car was towed because they couldnt see my sticker. Within the first day, their were literally roaches EVERYWHERE. We managed to get rid of them but now there are new people next door and the roaches are back. At this point, Ive given up. The towing issues are so bad that I wont even invite friends over. Management is rather rude and the manager is never really just ...there. So far, the only thing that has been accurately handled is that if you have a problem with your rent theyll be quick to hit you with late fees. There was supposed to be a washer/dryer unit in my apartment but when I payed my deposit (which I now know see is beyond a ridiculous price due to living conditions), it was conveniently unavailable. There was/is supposed to be a tenant laundromat in the complex but now its been closed indefinitely and they suggest using the one around the corner. I dont feel safe here. I dont go out and talk to anyone. None of these appliances are upgraded as they claim to be. Im so afraid of having something break down on me because I dont want them near my apartment. And they wont fix it anyway. I put in a service request about the broken door and months later I received an email saying it was fixed. I came into my apartment and NOTHING was different. I could honestly go on and on about this but I wont. This has been the worst, most depressing living experience Ive ever had. They managed to fix up the main office but Im still waiting to see if they will add another laundromat. Chances are, its doubtful. I wouldnt recommend moving here to anyone. I ignored the fact that the rating was so low because sometimes I feel like people complain as a form of theory. In this instance I was very, very wrong. Dont move here. Please.

We just got there, married couple deposit $50. Lower or same as any. Dog Park has a shade tree, 2 hammocks, fire pit and grill, and an awning. Not the greatest part of town, but no where near as bad as skillman and the other side of 635. It is a lower cost apartment with no breed restrictions, but they seam to pull that off pretty well. No dishwasher, but that what the woman is for. Seen 2 cars towed, but both clapped out POSs with large rims, and WAY out of date stickers on the window. Cant complain any bout that. If you are looking for the Ritz, not for you. Looking for fairly cheap without getting robbed and rapped, is a nice place

Unfortunately, I lived here for 3 years.. never again.*The office never answers the phone, you would have to physically go to the office to get any response.*The neighbors.. Where do I begin? This is not a good area to live in. People here are very inconsiderate. People are outside all times of day and night, partying, smoking marijuana, listening to music, talking on their phone. Its like the place to be is on the stairs instead of inside their home.. People yell and scream at each other loudly. Your car will get plenty of dents and dings. Kids and teenagers run wild in this place.*The apartment is gated, but the gate is always broken so whats the point? We had to pay $15 for a gate clicker and the gate has been broken for months at a time. Then when its finally fixed, it works for a few days then its broken again.*Your mail will go missing, packages are left and says delivered but its not there. And you will never find it unless whoever took it will bring it back.*You have to pay a fee to pay rent online. They started charging $1.95 per transaction. Really?*Water was included when we first moved in, then they started charging for water, at a ridiculous price at that. We had a 1 bed room, 2 residents, and paid almost $50 for water per month. At my current place, we pay half the cost. It is allocated per building, so if your neighbors like to take hour long showers, youll pay for it.*Roaches. YES, plenty of them when we first moved in. Had to fog the whole place for a day and set out a thousand traps to see some improvement.*The parking/towing policy is VERY strict. You have to have a visitor pass or sticker to park, otherwise your car will get towed in a heart beat. Our friend came over for a few hours and his car was gone. $150 and a 30 mins drive away to get it back.Rent was cheap, but you get what you pay for. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Ever. Avoid this place like the plague.

I manage to make another money other that evening and put it under the door. They wrote to me i am own late fee. Which i am surely know i clear all my bill. If that the allowed me paid the remaining with my ATM card. I wouldnt have encountered all these. They pay less attention when u are explaining them things. Even when it is their mistake. I am highly fade up with this apartment. Secondly, I bought a car and i requested a residential tag. They told me is only a month i will be given and i cant be given any since i am using paper tag. What is wrong with paper tag. This is three years i have been living there and my rent will expire next year. I have tried to meet they management but they worker refuse to give me access. Time may not permit me to say a lot i have been passing through on this new workwers. I wish i will meet they people incharge. I regretted of long to lease i didnt with them. Every time the temperature gets over 85 degrees outside the A/C unit simply cant keep up. I just called maintenance over here for the 3rd time in the last 3 weeks to do something. And lastly, the management. Absolutely pitiful. They hire girls fresh out of high school with zero organizational skills and lack any ability to follow up. This was a first apartment for my roommate and I. It was cheap and it seemed OK. We didnt know much since were new at this. The ladies in the office are great and matinance too. The area itself isnt good though. Chasity in the office told us the place is really quite. We have lived here for 5 months and yeah it was quite despite the sketchy neighborhood. Two days before Christmas my grandparents came to visit me. It was 2:45 in the afternoon and my grandpa went down for a smoke and three guys and a girl beat him up and robbed him at gun point. They had three guns. They all wore hoodies and tightened the hoods so you couldnt make out their features. My sisters and cousins were downstairs when it happened and luckily they ran up and got us. They pointed a gun at my mom and they torn off the entire back left side of my grandpas pants. He ended up with four staples on his head, nine stitches in his nose, and two fractured ribs. They took his phone, wallet, and the keys to my grandmas truck. It was a very traumatizing even for my family. Especially so close to Christmas. No it isnt the apartments fault that these people chose to do suck an awful thing to someone, but I definitely dont feel safe anymore. I am now going to break my 12 month lease and do every thing possible to get the fees removed.

Moved from Oklahoma in 2014. We first saw the location when we were down for the holidays in 2014. We came during the day and the complex looked beautiful. One of the leasing ladies were very helpful, during the process they sold us on the layout that was shown for show downstairs closer to the main pool. We got an application and she told us we could fax it since we lived in Oklahoma. On the day we were scheduled to move in they had to leave our key underneath the mat of the leasing office (very unprofessional). However, we didnt make a big deal of it. When we moved in everything the first night we saw a dead roach laying on the kitchen floor (we thought okay its dead maybe they sprayed no big deal didnt see anymore that night) next morning we start placing things in order and my fiancée is working the kitchen she sees a roach run across the stove(we marked it on our walkthru sheet they give you during move in) we were also told we would have all new appliances everything was in new condition except the dishwasher it was an old version with mold. When we returned our walkthru sheet she said she would get our request in to take care of everything that we noted. To condense this story a little we lived there for about a 8 months and cut our lease due to unhealthy living conditions. During the month of March 2015 we started hearing noises in our fire place, it sounded like an animal stuck or trying to get in (can you imagine sleeping and hearing that scratching that sounds like its about to escape?) thats what we encountered. We made the apartments aware ASAP they NEVER sent anyone to take a look, we noticed possums running freely in the front by the tree notified them about that never did anything. We had to contact the animal control due to the possum falling out the fire place while we hid in the bathroom and had them come through the bedroom because we were frightened. We still gave the apartments a chance, when we wrote or first letter to the Apartmenet Manager about the issues we encountered and how we were very unhappy with the living conditions and (lets not forget the mold that was in the bathroom a mushroom was growing out the ground) she assured us she would handle everything (she handled the dishwasher getting replaced even though we submitted that information during our move in) the possum issue she never even acknowledged. We threatened to hold rent until our problems were handled. What put the icing on the cake was in April 2015 when my car was stolen, not only did they steal my car they came into our home through the back door took my keys off the key hook, took my wallet out of my purse and my finances wallet and orange juice from the home all while we slept. Contacted the police and got a police report they informed me that this area was considered first 48 alley I see why. When we told the apartments the leasing agent had NO SYMPATHY she didnt even want to put in a request to have the locks changed ASAP, she kind of argued with me about it, they were finally changed. Thats when we became more actively seeking better apartments. We broke our lease with a Solaris in August of 2015 to move to Garland in Oaks 5th street crossing. A safer community, parking garages, healthy livin environment (thats clean 24/7 and the pool is open during the summer and ALWAYS CLEAN) we did write a 30 day notice to Solaris expressing why were breaking the lease and why we feel that we shouldnt be charged the last months rent NONE of our issues were ever resolved And if they were it took months, leasing agents never could make decisions without the Apartment manager (who was VERY RUDE AND NEVER AVAILABLE TO SPEAK WITH US) They would always have to get back to us so now I have an eveiction on my credit due to this. Even though our living conditions were unhealthy with the mold, roaches and wild rodents in our home. So Solaris should be the last pick on your list if you plan on moving to Skillman. They def got us with the friendly agents showing a wayyyyyy more put together model apartment that they show.

Where do I start? I actually lived here twice. I know shame on me.First time, I got locked inside of my apartment. The front door locked itself from the outside, but maintenance was there on the double. Maintenance was great the first time. They came every time I had a problem and I had a lot of problems. 14-16 roaches came out the first night I moved in. The ceiling in the bedroom was leaking and almost ruined my boxes that I never unboxed. The towing company, the apartment uses is terrible. I filed a consumer complaint against the company. I had to visitor tags on my friends cars that were visiting and they were in the appropriate area. Some how magically, both the tags were on the ground in their cars. Their windows were up and the doors were locked. I had to drive to bad side of Dallas at 3:00 in the morning. I was super anger. I had to record my friends cars with there tags, when they visited. The office at the time was decent and the ladies were always nice. I never had a problem with them, the first time.Second time.... Was the worst... We lived next to a brick wall that everyone jumped over all times of night. I woke one morning with a drunk guy in my front yard. I thought he was dead, because flies were all over him.We had huge roaches and spiders that lived in our leaking ac unit compartment. We had to move our bed to the dining room to avoid hearing dump trucks at 2-3 in the morning. Even though we made multiple complaints to the trash company.Gates never worked and because of that a drunk driver came flying through our apartment and smashed into my car causing it to smash into my boyfriends car. It was over $14,000 of damages of two cars and not including the property damage that was caused.I almost had someone break into my apartment. There was a note from previous tents claiming they had been broken into 3-4 times living there.Maintenance could not fix our repair. The office claimed over and over that a contractor had to fix our busted floor board. There were bugs coming out that hole also.We had to take our problems straight to the Greystone management. They were the only ones that really helped us. We finally had to get out. It took some attitude from the front office(which the manager was very rude and unpleasant to my boyfriend) and the graciousness of the Greystone, but they let us out.Moral of the story do not live here. It will not only save your life, but time, money, and grief. No matter if you think you cannot afford anywhere else to live you can. You just have to look and avoid this one.

I dont even want to get started on the attempted break-ins and parking lot hit-and-run.Bad foundation, bad staff and messages of warning from previous tennants scrawled under the bar, make this a bad choice.*Edit- Another reviewer mentioned a great course of action if you have hazardous problems with this apartment. The plan sounds very similar to what I did when I had problems. I wrote letters and all that; was out in a couple weeks with no obligations (6 months left of supposed lease) AND got my deposit back. These apartments have a VERY serious roach proplem especially in building 6 phase 3, When I first moved in 2 years ago it was.......ok? I noticed dog leavings ALL OVER my complex. It was literally to when you first step off your front porch all the way to the back patio and everywhere else too. My neighbors were sketchy and nasty as all hell, Im not over exaggerating either, these apartments will let ANYBODY stay there. My last neighbors were the worst, they had a dog and a cat and I didnt have to see the cat to know there was a cat. In short they were one of the main causes of the out break of 4 totally different types of roaches in the building. I saw and heard people talking about reporting my neighbors because they were in violation of their lease and they were right to do so, their state of living was 100% a health hazard. And it was affecting everyone in the complex. They finally evicted them a month ago after a whole year of complaints. I saw maintenance coming through to set up for the next tentants, and even they could be heard complaining about the smell and the massive amount of roaches that were still around even after they had sprayed. I wouldnt recommend to my arch nemesis.Beware of apt #611.

I wouldnt prefer my worst enemy to these apartments. Its false advertising and they dont care about the tenants. They just want your money. Our (wife and I) cars was broken into 3 different times. The last time they knocked the parking pass off my wife mirror and next thing you know, a tow truck came and took the car. We aurged with management that she should have a parking sticker that sticks on the window if shes a resident. And that she was a resident with a parking pass. Also these apartments are 3 parts with leasing office in the middle. The leasing office has a duty patrol rent a cop ONLY during business hours and he only stay by the leasing office. They dont check on your vehicles nor circle the other 2 sections, only stays by the leasing office. We paid extra for upgrade floors, appliances, and pets. The staff that was working there when we moved was very friendly and said all these nice things and the drove us around the complex. Well the first minor issue that turned into a major issue. A spring inside the microwave door fell out causing the microwave door not to stay shut, meaning microwave light stays on and we cant use. We called the office back to back, made service request, 9 months later, our lease was up and it still wasnt fixed but they still charged us extra not to mention they put new appliances in the apartments next to me and got them from Lowes because I work there so I know whats going on. They also come in your apartment when you not there and leave a note saying they was here but dont say for what. I stopped that quick by just leaving my friendly pitbull loose in my apartment while I was gone. They just want your money. Our apartment looked just like it did when we moved in and 8 months later, still havent gotten my deposit back. And when I moved to the house I have now, the apartment didnt/wouldnt fax my paperwork (rental history) to my new landlord in a coarse of days almost causing me not to get the house. Dirty business. If you want to live somewhere where you have to watch your car constantly for either theives or tow trucks then its not the place for you. Its old cars out there with no inspection nor registrations sticker but have a pink parking sticker in the window so they dont touch it. Plus everytime they tow, its $160 off top... I swear I can keep going on but ill stop. Please do your reasearh on these apartments and ask the tenants that already live there.
