I just moved into the Gables McKinney and love it already. Jinsyn and Pamela were very helpful every step of the way. Moving was stress-free. Judith, the lead concierge, is fantastic. She guided the movers and answered all my questions! I received a small welcome gift in my apartment. In addition, maintenance responds very quickly. So happy I chose to live here!

Jinsyn deserves a raise!!! As a realtor, I had a client who needed to see an apartment same day. Jinsyn showed me the entire community on a minutes notice, then arranged for concierge to give me fob so I could give another tour later in the evening to clients. She even prepared a detailed packet so that the showing would go flawlessly, which it did. This was all arranged same day in less than an hour. She is professional, organized, pleasant, and so easy to talk to! Her talent should not go unnoticed and management, in my opinion, should do everything in their power to keep her around, including giving her a raise!! She is a gem!!

Pamela in the leasing office was a pleasure to work with. Gables Mckinney Ave. is a solid place to live and you cant beat that it is on-top of while foods. Would recommend it to anyone looking in the uptown area

Chantz provided us with the best tour of this beautiful community! The amenities are unlike any other in the area (including One Uptown, though it was beautiful, too), and the finishes in the apartments, like brick contrast walls and fireplaces in some, are extremely well thought out. The entire building was pristine.

Gables has been amazing with the move-in process! Apartment complex is always kept up, and the concierge desk is beyond amazing! All the amenities of this facility make you feel like you are living at a resort. Any issues with your apartment are resolved within 1 business day. Management team and maintenance crew are top notch!

Moving in has been easy so far and the staff including Jinsyn, Lana and Kim have been so nice and helpful. We are excited to be in Dallas and in Uptown.

The concierge and leasing office went above and beyond for me prior to my move-in. So happy to be able to call Gables McKinney home now!

I have to say that residents here get their moneys worth. Last weekend, I visited a friend and I could not get over how nice their lobby/facilities were. Her room was so beautiful (the walls, the counters, utilities, the bedroom space) and most importantly she had an amazing view of Uptown. the balcony was cute-sized, enough for a person to have a good amount of space and down time. MOST IMPORTANTLY --> Devin was fantastic! As a visitor, he truly accommodated to my needs and when I could not find my car, this man literally helped me look for it on every floor! We had great conversation all throughout, which was unexpected at 2 in the morning. His endless positivity and ambition was something I immediately recognized - its very clear that he loves what he does and enjoys helping people. For anyone who visits or would like to live here on McKinney, trust me when I say youre in good hands!

Generally enjoyed our experience at Gables. Hit some snags with management on move out, but was able to work through it with them.

We are moving after having lived here for four years (since it opened), and Im very sad to leave. We have been extremely pleased with the management and staff. Everyone from maintenance to the office staff to our fabulous concierges have been truly a pleasure. They keep the building clean, safe, and well-maintained, and any issue weve had has been addressed quickly. There were a few times where we messed up and did something that was not permitted by our lease, and they always handled it really graciously and gave us the chance to fix it or give just a warning rather than just fine us. The other tenants in the building are great, weve never had issues with noise or people being disrespectful. The fixtures in the units are very high end and high quality, we didnt have problems with things breaking other than normal wear and tear. The location is great - having Whole Foods downstairs is really convenient and theres plenty of shopping and dining in the area. Its surprisingly quiet in the units even though this is a really noisy neighborhood - we never had an issue with street noise. Its also convenient that they have a Guild AirBNB-style unit that can be rented out. When our family came to visit us from out of state, we would rent that out for them so they could stay in the same building (and much cheaper than nearby hotels).The only cons I have are nitpicky. The EV chargers are frequently broken - not really their fault because they are maintained by a different company, but I do wish the building was more on top of getting them repaired when needed. Also you have to pay a hefty fee to get to use the cabanas at the pool. The pool also doesnt get much sun since its surrounded on three sides - really only about 3-4 hours in the middle of the day when the sun is directly overhead. There is a place you can tan on the roof but its next to the dog bathroom area.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to move in the area. I would for sure live here again. I have a few other friends who have lived here and they all really loved it, too. I recommend the units with the large balconies - great views and theres a nice cross-breeze so its comfortable to sit out most of the year. We were in one of the X08s (408, 508, 608, etc) and the view is crazy good. Ill miss sitting outside watching those Uptown sunsets!

Gables McKinney Ave is beautiful and has an incredible management team. I hosted a work event and reserved their 2nd floor amenities (large kitchen and dining/conference room) and the whole evening was executed beautifully. This was a direct result of the exceptional communication and assistance from the management team. The concierge, Sam, was a true delight. I would put him in the category of “intuitive hospitality”, he did not just check the boxes of his job but he went above and beyond to ensure he served us well. I was so thankful to utilize such a beautiful space and be treated well in the process.

Ive been lucky to call Gables McKinney Ave home for over a year now - and I love every bit of it. The location, the helpful leasing office staff, the friendly concierge team, the ultra-responsive maintenance team... everything has been fantastic. By far the best apartment I have ever lived in! I would highly recommend this property who wants an awesome Dallas Uptown experience and lifestyle!

The place is OK the pool only gets 2 hours of sun, nothing gets fixed out by the pool such as the speaker and ice machine and the water is too. Has not worked since I have been here for a year and have been disappointed with the new layout in front of the elevators as it pops and makes noise that makes it feel cheap for how much I am paying.

Been living here for over 2 years and absolutely love it. The staff is always so friendly! It is walking distance to games at the AAC and a ton of food options all around. The complex is well kept up and they even have the carpeted hallways steam cleaned every 1-2 weeks for a fresh smell. Love it here!

Living on top of a Whole Foods is life changing. The people make the building, both the residents and the people working. Moved here for work and quickly developed a friend group. Sam at the door makes you feel at home and Pamela in leasing works with you to get the right place for you. Never want to move. Slight negative: No Exotic Pets, Monkeys, Goats etc.

Been a resident for 6 months now and find it to be a great, clean & modern building with a very helpful staff. Very central & convenient location (can’t best living above a Whole Foods), walking distance to many great restaurants and bars, and close to all the major roadways to get around Dallas. Pam from the rental office has been one of my main points of contact and she is extremely helpful and tries her best for you to feel settled in. She definitely has made my time here very enjoyable. Definitely recommend the building and its units.

This is the best apartment I have lived in - from management, location, amenities, and quality of rooms, Gables on McKinney is definitely the best. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice quality of life in Dallas.

I have lived here for about a year now. I’ve seen all the nice luxury apartments in uptown/knox area and nothing compares to this building/location! The front office is always super sweet, maintenance is top-notch, location is perfect and safe! The finishing touches in all of the aparments are super luxurious even the doors are nice inside the apartments!

If you ever decide to live here ask for Pam, she is the absolute best as far as communicating and making sure everything is going well. Absolutely best customer service in uptown.

We signed a short term lease and moved in. Easy walking distance to all of our favorite eateries and bars. We can grocery shop downstairs, enjoy the pool, and we have met several great neighbors. We ended up celebrating Thanksgiving in the commons area with about 30 other people. This place is truly a great place to call home the staff here is prompt from the leasing office, the maintance crew, the concierge and even the sweet employees who work hard every day to clean the property. We have never experienced a noise problem even being right close to all of the uptown bars. We have recently decided to sign a longer lease term. We ❤️ It here!

The amenities have been quite nice, rent is a little overpriced though in my opinion. Also, there is no auto pay option for rent which seems odd given how technologically advanced most other parts of the building are. Also, they are more strict about rent payments than any place Ive ever lived. Dont miss by one day regardless of whether you were out of the country, etc. or you will pay a $100 late fee.

Sam is the best

We lived in this building for over two years. It started out great, but continued to decline rapidly. At the end of our lease we were just happy to get out as soon as possible. The interior has been neglected and the building is falling apart. The gate to the parking garage is always broken and management seems to be fine with leaving the gate open for days while people use the parking garage as a public parking area and break into vehicles. I would strongly recommend looking at other properties in the area.
