I love living here!!! They have a lot of resident events, and everyone is pretty friendly! All of my requests are usually fixed in 24 hours and they do what they can to keep me happy! Its great to have a staff that works with you when they can and not against you! They love making it more of a community then just a place to live! Devin is my favorite in the office as hes always smiling and tries every option to help! Ive been here for a year and a half, just resigned, and will keep enjoying my time! The area is ABSOLUTE perfection as a perk!
Beautiful apartments! Amazing service! The staff there is super nice and friendly! We loved the vibes from both leading agents! They made us feel at home and answered all of our questions. Best pricing we were able to find inthe area. Make sure you ask for Eva when you go up there! Youll thank me later ! 🙂
I absolutely love this place! I’m an apartment locator and this is one of my favorite places to take my clients. The grounds are always well maintained, and the The staff is amazing! I specifically always love working with Carolyn, as she is always so professional. Ive worked with her on several occasions and she’s one of the best leasing agents in the business! Keep up the fantastic work!
I currently live in Richardson, but I’m wanting to move closer to the Dallas scenery. I recently toured Elan City Lights and loved the property! Carolyn was the one who toured me around and was very knowledgeable about the complex and the surrounding areas. She showed me all the cool amenities and the spacious apartments, which I will be bringing my friends to come look at next. I’ll be sure to move there once I figure things out on my end!
Overall, I enjoyed my experience @ Elan City Lights. I stayed in a unit by the pool area and knew going into it that I should expect additional noise but not to the extent that it occurred. The summer was almost unbearable because there was always loud music and screaming throughout the day and night but this can be avoided by not living in that area.My biggest complaint are the walls. Like many apartments, the walls may as well be made of paper because you can literally hear everything. I sat in my bed and guessed the movie my neighbor was watching by simply listening. Unacceptable. As I said, overall, my experience was a good one. No complex is perfect. Management was helpful. They were always hosting events @ the clubhouse to engage residents. Location is amazing. Just stay on the top floor (preferably in a corner unit) and you should survive.
Ive been at Elan for 4 months now and Im absolutely in love with the community. I moved from Roanoke to Dallas and the leasing staff was amazing. I leased without seeing the property in person and I dont regret it. I really feel at home here .
Been living at Elan City Lights for a few months now and have enjoyed it thus far. Devin was of tremendous help when I was looking for a place to live since I was coming from Boulder, CO and couldn’t see the place until I had signed the lease. He did a video tour of the unit and it made me feel that the leasing staff really cared for its residents. Highly recommend this place.
Nice apartment! Definitely has that luxury feel to it! Cool amenities! Great location! Very convenient to everywhere you go! Staff is awesome! Maintenance is easy to request and quick to respond!
The office staff is excellent and super friendly and helpful. The manager, Rita Guillen, is always approachable and very courteous and helpful. The property is kept very attractive and clean throughout the year. Its very luxurious and has many amenities that make you feel very much at home! The maintenance staff is one of the best Ive seen and help keep the place looking and running great. Truly a great place to live!
I have lived here for a year and a half now and it has been great! The staff is wonderful Will and Eva have always gone over and beyond to help me when I need something. The building is spacious, quiet, and I have made friends with many of the residents that live here. I would highly recommend it!
I recently moved into Elan City Lights (and Dallas, as well) pursuing a new job opportunity from Houston. The complex is newly built (2015, I believe?) and has a very sleek, minimalist, and modern aesthetic that is appealing. The location is great -- it is near downtown, uptown, and deep ellum (a lot of restaurants, nightlife, art scenes, etc). Will (one of the leasing agents) was super diligent about following up with me and helping me with the move-in process -- from walking in to moving my furniture inside my place. Overall, Id definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place near the heart of Dallas (and Ive saw at least 8-9 others places nearby in uptown, downtown, and the design district).
I came to visit a friend of mine and TOTALLY FELL IN LOVE with this apartment complex!! I visited the leasing office and spoke to Devin who was super helpful in giving me information. 3 days later I found the perfect unit for me and will be moving in at the end of July! Cant wait to enjoy my new apt and meet all the fabulous people that live here :)
During our stay at Elan, everything was great and we really enjoyed the apartment. However, after a couple of months, we notice that a couple of homeless people were staying in the common area. We spoke with management about the issue and they said everything would be taken care because a new security team was coming in. Things did not get better as the same homeless person stayed in the common area for about a week, and then vanished. There were also issues with people, not residents, jumping over the gated entryway to enter into the pool and back area to smoke. Management did provide a solution for the jumping over the gated area by placing higher bars and making it look like a jail.Parking is insane because they are building a new complex on the other side, which will take a year to finish. Management and staff change like clockwork no ever stay past three months. The walls are SUPER SUPER thin, so beware. We had our next door neighbors blaring music from midnight until 6 am.I thought we were going to love this place because its so close to downtown, but honestly, it SUCKED!
I lived at Elan City lights and I loved the place and location. They have a lot of community activities to get to know your neighbors. It is super pet friendly. I really enjoyed living in a very centric area where I could walk to the restaurants in Deep Ellum and also walk to downtown. The leasing management and staff are super nice and super communicative. I would strongly recommend these apartments.
Great place to call home. Clean and well maintained, the staff are extremely helpful. Elvira in front office made the transition very easy and whatever you needed she took care of it for you. Location is perfect
Lived in Elan City for a year and can honestly say it was the best apartment complex I have ever experienced. Great location, customer service, and atmosphere all for a reasonable price. Ask for a guy named Will in the leasing office, and he will hook you up. Communicated directly with him when I had questions or needed something.
Like a lot of the newly built apartments in Dallas, this is constructed almost entirely of wood. I drove by this place almost daily on my way to/from the gym and saw the construction—I couldn’t believe you’d build such a big building out of wood. The recent crane collapse that killed a person in this building and rendered it unfit for occupancy was very tragic. I can’t help but think that the disaster could have been mitigated if there was some structural steel in the building.
Ive really enjoyed living here, the atmosphere is unique. The staff has been great since day one and they have tended to my needs every time I needed something. My apartment is great, great location and the space and amenities are more than expected for the price Im paying. My only concern is the traffic flow inside the parking lot, which is not adequate and can create issues especially accidents.
Nice, modern complex with a great community feel to it. Location is great as its close to just about everything. Elvira proved to be a wealth of knowledge and information and was extremely kind and helpful! I was very happy throughout my experience with her.
I love living at Elan City Lights! I do not agree with the reviews posted previously. Not only the building is beautiful, but the staff always goes out of their way to make my living better. I have lived in different apartments and it is the first place that does a whole week for resident appreciation. I did not have a valentine so I really felt at home when they had a daily activity for resident appreciation. Melina was my leasing person and I always see her picking up trash and making sure the building looks great. I would recommend this building to any family and friends.
I have been thinking about moving here for a while now! Whenever I visit, Devin has been so kind and helpful answering any questions I may have. Its definitely a top choice for me right now!
I was very pleased with my overall experience with the tour of the Elan City Lights complex. I definitely felt taken care of by the staff, especially from the Assistant Manager, Shay Michael, who showed me several apartment options that were in my price range and the amenities I was looking for. She answered all of my questions with ease and made sure I was aware of all the pros of living at Elan City Lights, and there are a lot of them! I can’t wait to move into my new apartment in a couple of months!
I have to hand it to the office team!Without them doing what they do for us residents the community wouldnt be as is. I moved in at the end of September 2018 and I love my apartment home more than the first time I seen it. Elvira, Brad, Devin both erics and frank have been awesome! They all go the extra mile my last apartment home didnt do. When they have resident events they have them at nice places which provide free food and alcohol! Id say the negative reviews below are 99% more than likely the people that dont take care of the community themselves. Maintenance is super quick, emails are responded to when Ive emailed the community, theyve cleaned my hallway at lease every other week, staff is friendly, I dont see many neighbors around me so id say its safe to say its quiet and I feel safe walking outside at any time of the day. Id recommend this place. Plus its super close to everything and its super close to Tom Thumb.
Many times when I try to call the leasing office to ask or submit a request, the phone doesnt get picked up. Now I understand the office can become busy at times, but I often call multiple times throughout the week and also leave voicemails. But I rarely get an answer. The same thing applies when I try to email them. Very slow at answering, if they even answer at all. Also, in order to get from the parking garage to the actual apartment units, you need to scan your key fob at the door. However, the door lock is broken on a few floors. Thus, anyone from outside the apartment complex can easily enter the parking garage (since the garage gate is constantly being fixed, thus it is left open throughout the entire day/night) and then enter the actual hallways near the apartment units. It is very unsafe because of this.
Ive lived at Elan for 1 and a half years and Ive loved all of it. When I read and see people writing that the walls are thin I wonder whether they knew they were moving into an apartment complex... kinda comes with the territory and Ive never had a problem with it. Ive had especially positive experiences with Eric Fox and Devin Munoz. Devin helped us move in and really sold us on the complex. Eric went out of his way to help me get back into my apartment when it was after hours and I had locked myself out. Those two are the true rockstars of the leasing office and are the reason my roommate and I decided to renew our lease.
I am a property manager as well and I just leased at Elan. The thing that kills me about these reviews is that there all about safety. No one can guarantee your safety so that is out of the complexs hands. Tighten up people and be responsible for protecting yourself and your belonging. What they can control however has been great. Awesome office staff even though Eva was having a tough day she was very professional and helped me out to the best of her ability. Will even stayed late to assure we were able to move in that night. I look forward to living out my lease here at Elan. MY VIEW IS AWESOME!!
I usually wait for a few months before writing reviews to see if the Staff is as helpful after I sign the lease. I must say the level of service from Will at Elan City Lights has been just as good, if not better throughout. He was very attentive on my first visit to tour the property and only showed me units that matched my preferences! Since moving in 2 months ago he has always been very responsive and goes above & beyond if any issues arise (which hasnt really occurred). The only negative Ive noticed is there is a unique smell in the hallways which might take some time to get used to.Aside from that the amenities on the property are great, its a good location & close to downtown/the strip in Deep Ellum!
We walked in and LOVED Elan City Lights. From the lobby, to the staff, to the price, to the amenities... we just knew we had to live there! Joseph was SO helpful! We did continue our search for apartments but immediately went back and signed because nothing compared to our whole experience apartment hunting there.
Unfortunately it actually made me give one Star to proceed! It is such a shame that a beautiful new building that has state of the art amenities is so dirty and not well kept. There are trash bags in the stairways from residents because they are to lazy to use the trash valet or walk it to the trash closet. There are constant vehicle break-ins and things being stolen, sure this can happen everywhere but what is being done for preventative measure? Hiring 1 security guard that walks the premises while something could be going on where they arent as that place is huge, or 1 security guard sitting at the gate in their vehicle. The parking garage is the absolute worst, people rather not park on the floor they live because of having to drive up and down. Remind you this building is brand new. The freight elevator is always broken, the gates are always broken. The exterior is trashed with pet waste everywhere as most of the dogs have killed the landscaping along the sidewalks. The interior doors use a fob to get into, well until residents and or guest decide to bust them where everyone is free to come in and out as this is reported and never addressed. So yes, I give this place 1 star if you want to live in a Luxury Apartment that is Section 8 rated and or a Dorm Room for young kids that do not care about how they live nor do they have anyone holding them accountable for their actions here.
Great experience leasing my first unit in Dallas! They did everything they could to work with me and accommodate my needs, and they are very professional.
Dont stay here! Should be less than 1 star...was booked and confirmed and chose this place because was close to Baylor Hospital because My daughter was going in for surgery early next morning... got notification just 2 hours before check in that it was cancelled. What a bunch of Losers!
I have been living in Elan City Lights since last October, and I have been very satisfied with my experience, the properties amenities, and the service! Close to everything there is in Dallas. I worked with Will Coleman to sign my lease back in October and he was extremely professional and personal, and will make your experience flawless!
Shay Michael was most helpful and seemed very knowledgable about the premises! She explained all my questions thoroughly with a big smile! I love the ambience and location of the property. Because of Shay I will most likely rent from her! Also, Ill tell my friends!
From the management to the leasing agents to the maintenance this community has top-notch customer service and they are amazingly fast in their response time to issues.Beyond that the property is beautifully maintained and the leasing office and community spaces offer a welcoming vibe and are great places to sit and relax, or accomplish some work!
A good and comfortable place to live. Well maintained, excellent staff and good neighbors.
Loved this place when I first moved in but everything in the common areas, especially the gym, breaks all the time and it never get fixed. Ive made attempts weekly to address concerns and the response is always we know and were working on it. After a year I think its just not doing their job. While the staff is always nice and professional nothing gets fixed or accomplished. And they have entered my apartment multiple times without advance notice and moved things in my apartment around to fix things too many times to count, which I really dont think is legal. I will revise this review once my many concerns are addressed.
I truly enjoyed living here. The staff, property, maintenance, interior and community was amazing! I miss it so much! :(
Ive only toured here, but just interacting with the staff was annoying. Michelle was the one who toured me and she was incredibly incompetant. When I asked her questions like what are some of the amenities offered and she would respond with yeah!. She also promised to keep in touch with me by sending out an email periodically to regarding an opening in the apartment unit I was hoping to get, but she failed to do so.Theres also an older caucasian man who sat at the front desk (I believe his name was Frank?) that was rude. I had witnessed a resident asking to borrow the luggage cart (which the apartment lets people borrow for FREE) and he had the audacity to say write me a check first and it was not in a funny tone. The leasing office is supposed to be professional. Frank was clearly not.Overall, yeah, the units are nice and all, but the staff is TERRIBLE. Usually good apartments will keep in contact with you and try to have you lease with them, but this was not the case. I had to stay on top of them instead.
I am a new resident here and I must say, apart from the nice and clean apartment, the staff here is extremely kind. I had three shipments (furnitures) which arrived earlier than I expected and even before I moved in but the staff here (special recognition to Will) has been kind enough move the furnitures into my apartment! Had he not, someone could have taken the furniture from the doorstep ;) Looking forward to have a great time in this apartment!!!! Thanks Will and the Elan City Lights staff!!!
Go here to visit a friend. Always clean, office staff always friendly, talked with Elvira who always has a smile on her face. Once my current lease is up this is first on my list. Starbucks, coffee in morning is a plus!!!!!
Crime is out of control here. The garage gate is always up so anyone can get in. Theres a gate you can hop that allows you to get inside. Basically you dont need any kind of key to get in the building. I never see any security. Cops get called all the time, but after the fact. The management team will give you the run around and are not helpful at all. Rita is very aloof and doesnt want to help.
Elvira was very accommodating in her tour. She was pleasant and able to answer any/all questions I had, even though I came in close to closing time.
Location location location! Love all the resident events. Office staff is great. Devin Munoz is always ready to help.
Im not really sure why people have so many safety concerns. Yeah the gate has been open a few times, but my car nor my things were ever broken into or messed up. Ive never had any issues with the parking garage or felt like I needed to worry about my safety. When Ive had friends over they park in visitor parking and havent had any issues with being towed or anything. Everyone in the office has always been super friendly and helpful and the location is great. Out of everywhere Ive lived in Dallas this has been my favorite. I would recommend living here.
Im not a person who complains but some issues are really bothering me:1. The gate is ALWAYS open! The entrance door to the floor is usually open too!2. Dogs poop in garage! Specially in the morning3. Printer usually out of ink and paper.
I went to view this property and worked with Sam. He is amazing!! He is so knowledgeable and friendly. If youre about to look at this apartment complex, ASK FOR SAM!!!
Tons of theft going on at this complex. Security is minimal. Garage door is always up. My car has been tampered with and broken into twice. My ski gear was stolen out of my trunk while I was parked in the visitor section on the 7th floor of the parking garage. I was towed for parking in the visitor section because there was nowhere else to park... The leasing office couldnt tell me who to call to locate my car. No security cameras in the garage. People with monster trucks race up and down the garage as if they are purposely trying to get into a head on collision. Police have been around with dogs busting people for selling drugs. Its a sketchy place to say the least. Nice decor and amenities, but not worth the price of your safety or your belongings. Given the location and the lack of security the rent is too high. Look elsewhere before you sign a lease here.
NOT SAFE! The garage gate has been broken for 7 days in a row now. This has to be the 12th time in 6 months that this has happened. There have been multiple car thefts due to the gates being left open over night. There is zero security cameras inside the parking garage or hallways. Property is not safe and management cant seem to find a solution to getting common property issues solved. I could write a novel on the issues that I have had with this community and Ive only been here for a little over 6 months. Love the area, just wish I didnt live here.
I was so ready to sign on the dotted line for this place. However, after placing a follow-up call with a few final questions regarding the application process, I was spoken to with such apathy by the older gentleman, it gave me the feeling that if they talk to people like this who are trying to lease, imagine how I would be treated once I moved in. During the phone call, I also heard the way he was speaking to a visitor which didnt sit well with me. I guess my search continues. The staff makes all the difference.
I never leave one star reviews, go check. This place deserves it. The worst management I have ever dealt with. Everything breaks constantly, fire alarms will wake you up at 4am, your key card won’t work when you get home with groceries, you will have constant maintenance workers hop over your patio unannounced and they will leave behind scrap materials including large rusty nails, and don’t bother brining up these concerns they will ignore all your emails after you sign your lease.Don’t live here, the luxury idea they try to promote is a sham, they couldn’t care less about their residents.
Excellent staffing, well kept facility. Well worth every penny you pay for leasing... Get the deals while their hot!!!They even have an Aqua Massage for all residents any time of day (leasing office hour) but they are open at least 7 days a week!!!
Hello Guys,Mr.Sam was such an awesome tourist. He told me everything about the [property. He was patient and very helpful. He assisted me with all of my needs. If youre looking for satisifaction in leasing hes the one.Great Job Sam!
Awesome apartaments! The common areas are new and modern. It is also in a great location, close to everything! Highly recommended.
I’ve been living here for about a year now and I like it here because it’s not as crowded as uptown/downtown and I’m looking to renew because it’s not too far from anything and the location is so convient. Plus, the staff is always helpful, especially Carolyn, who I can always count on to answer my questions or assist me whenever I have a problem.I will definitely recommend others to live here. I already recommended some of my friends already, lol.
Im only giving this place 1 star because I cant do 0. I arrived in Dallas with my daugter fromCA for a softball tournament. I had signed a contract with the apt manager and paid $1600 in advance for 9 nights to stay at the Elan apartment with the rest of our team. When I arrived in Dallas Amy the apt manager told me my room is no longer available and that they have moved my reservation to a completely different location away from our team for 2 days. When I got to the second location the room was dirty. It was not cleaned from the previous tenant. The sheets were not changed, toilets were dirty with hair on them. I called the apt manager to tell her and she didnt respond for 2 hours. After 2 hours she told me theres nothing she can do and told me to find a hotel until our place was ready in 2 days. She left me hanging with my daugter in the middle of Dallas with no where to stay. These people are highly unorganized and unreliable. Please think twice before booking.
Like most apartment places, Elan City Lights has its pros and cons. The pros are location to Deep Ellum and Downtown, packaging locker services, and maintenance. Maintenance request are filled with 24-36 hours. But sorry the cons out weight the pros. The cons are, if you are a night time employee do not stay by the pool. They have pool parties during the day during the summer and you wont get much sleep by 1PM if you are working at night. So try to get a view that is not the pool. But if you are working during the day the pool can be an issue as well. The pool closes at 9PM but of course no one lives by the rule and people can be out there until 4AM. They give you a number to call but dont waste your time. The night security barley do their job. They just sit at the gate; if that.Theres been multiple car beak-ins. Both gates have been broken at least once a month and it takes 2-3 weeks for it to be fixed to be broken again in the next week. The elevators have been out for weeks. Parking sucks in the garage. People drive to fast around the corners and they have too many reserves parking spaces that arent filled that can be used for regular parking. If you get to the garages pass 6PM if you forget about parking on the floor you stay on. There has been plenty of nights where I had to park on the 7 or 8th floor.People with dogs let them releases themselves in the hallways, stairwells, and elevators. Theres been plenty of emails about fines but obviously that doesnt work.AND PSA!!! THEY DO NOT SEND OUT THE REFUNDED DEPOSIT CHECKS!!!! YOU HAVE TO CALL AND EMAIL THEM!!! Ive been moved out almost two months and I get the same bogus answer. it takes 6 weeks for it to be sent out I even call GreyStar Company and couldnt leave a message.
I miss living here Rita is a great manager. Still have friends that live here. Only downfall is the parking lot space.
Called and spoke with Elvira, has a very warm and welcoming voice, and first community Im going to visit when in town.
Nice property, clean and new but not a good place to live if you go to work in the morning or have children. there is always a party near the pool with very loud noise. Even though the manager says pool closes at 10 pm, there are always people in the pool after that time and even after midnight on weekends.
I recently viewed the property, and it was just eh. The carpets in the hallway are dirty and stained and the hallway smells musty. The leasing agent showing me around was new and got lost very easily. The room itself was not bad but when it came down to it, the customer service was poor and no matter how great the specials might have been, I cant sign somewhere that doesnt make me feel welcome.Regarding pets, I spoke with a second agent, Shay; she said they dont allow wolves. Im completely dumbfounded by how a domesticated dog (Siberian husky) is a wolf and that statement reaped of pure ignorance. Im fine with huskies not being allowed somewhere because theyre destructive animals if not properly trained. But please do not tell me or my vet, that I have a wolf.If youre looking for stellar customer service, a nice, clean property and still in budget...definitely check out the Camden properties!
Great Location!! Frequent resident events, Excellent leasing staff all of them- Devin Munoz up & coming Rock star at the Leasing Office!!!
We lived here for over a year, and let me just say there were moments we enjoyed it, however as time went on it was just a countdown till our lease ended.ProsLocation - it is in a pretty great location and very close to everything. Dont have to go far for anything.Amenities - pool, gym, zen garden are all nice, and pretty well taken care of except the dog park (details below).Staff- for the most part was friendly, and helpful. Got back to you quickly with anything. The maintenance people were the best staff imo.Maintenance- quick turn around, and they were always helpful.Mail - great location inside, along with the parcel pending was very handy. Never had any issues with mail being lost or stolen.ConsNoise - being downtown there are a lot of noises. It is surrounded on all sides by busy streets. Just know these walls do not help prevent any sounds. I could hear my neighbors having sex multiple times, and if anyone walked by our patio I could hear the entire conversation.Dog park - I have two furry babies, and I cannot tell you the number of times Id come out the the park not being clean. Now this isnt 100% the apartments faults, but them have fake grass and not cleaning it off with the proper sanitation equipment is. I had to call them and tell them that the park wasnt cleaned for over 2 weeks. It was so strong it hurt my eyes. The old maintenance guy was out there every Monday morning cleaning it, but when he left the park was never the same.Parking - there were burglaries, and the gate was left open mostly due to idiots breaking it. My car got hit while parked here. I almost got ran over TWICE in that garage when people come speeding around a corner. The staff puts out notices for speeding, but it doesnt seem to help. Do something about it! Put up speed bumps like any other normal place would do. Be proactive.Moving out - having gone through the moving out process I can tell you that I hope you dont step on your carpet at all. We got charged for carpet replacement, and it easily couldve been cleaned. The cause was heavy traffic and it is $180 to replace the carpet, a one bedroom space of carpet. However, the move out sheet doesnt specify anything about carpet replacement as a charge to the resident. Just it needed to be free and clear of stains. Which ours was, just has dirt traffic around where the bed wasnt. Now I will edit to say that Shay said something about replacement cost, but I did not expect it to be almost $200. Funny that she mentioned it may have to be replaced during our walk thru, and then the carpet people said it would be replaced. No one even tried cleaning it.Just be careful when you move out!I wouldve given this place a higher rating in the beginning as it had so much potential, but I dont really feel it justified after 15 months.
Ask for Elvira! She was friendly, informative, and helped me find my new home! Thank you :-)
Great apartment complex, I enjoy always visiting my good friend who lives there. I love the finish outs on the interior of the units as well as all the exterior finish outs throughout the complex. I must say I really enjoy going somewhere and having ample visitor parking within the parking garage. Ive been there late on a Saturday night and still found a parking spot and one thing Ive noticed as well and that is Ive always seen a security person either 1) walking around or 2) in his car sitting directly in front of the parking garage gate watching who comes in and who follows in as well. This is for sure a place Id call home without a doubt.#ElanCityLights #DeepEllum #DowntownDallas #DallasTX #Apartments #onebedrooms #twobedrooms
Nice place but security major issue - gates always open!!
Elan does not take care of its ammenities or the property. The exits and main common areas smell of dog urine. The courtyard floods when it rains. They do not restock consumables for the shuffleboard. Etc. Do not live here for the ammenities.
100% vacant
The unfortunate thing is the staff seems very nice and the clubhouse/pool/zen garden are usually always well kept. However, everything thats already been said in the other reviews is 100% on point. Being that this is a pretty new property, youd think management would hire a larger house keeping team to make sure the hallways are cleaned, at least weekly. Ive seen a lady on my floor vacuuming twice in the 10 months Ive lived here. Some residents arent at all concerned with picking up after their pets...in the parking garage, stairwells or HALLWAYS. Multiple times now, there has been dog poop in the hallways...who doesnt clean up after their animals? Its completely disrespectful and unsanitary. The carpets in the hallways are all stained. Once, someone threw up in the hall and it wasnt cleaned up for weeks. Absolutely appalling. Elevators and garage doors are constantly breaking and out of order. Vehicles get vandalized pretty regularly. The halls usually smell like garbage. Given how much it costs to live here, there should be security cameras on site, especially the garage. And the garage....poorly designed. Rounding corners is pretty difficult if 2 cars are going in opposite direction. The spots arent very big and people tend to park like jerks, making it extremely frustrating when you get home from work after 8 pm and have to park on the 6th, 7th or 8th floor because the one spot left on your floor is impossible to get into because the people parked on either side of the open spot are both on the lines, if not over, into the other spot. Basically...its ridiculous and is no where near worth what they charge for rent.
Dear Future Tenants,When I decided to move to Elan City Lights near Elm St in Dallas, I did it for reasons that I cannot elaborate. The Zen Garden in Elan saved my life and kept me grounded and my mind open. Lets just say I went through a very difficult time in my life and Elan City Lights was the place I chose to do my best to start over. Circumstance changed however and with the Blessings of God, I was able to find light in the darkness that I was in, but I needed to move out from my unit in Elan. This is an issue anywhere because I leased for 12 months. This is where I realized why Greystar is the number #1 Company in the Country for apartment living and why the Team in Elan City Lights is the best group of people I have ever ran into for apartment living management.I spoke to them about my situation, they listened. They made no promises, but stated they will do their best to understand my situation, they did. I did not request for anything in writing in regards to what they would try to do for me because it was not needed. The management team and the associates of Elan City Lights are professional with a touch of grace and kindness. I was just not a number in a unit, I was a person and they understood that, but even if they did the high archy of Greystar would have to understand my situation as well. Simply put, they did.On the Greystar website they explain what sets them apart. This is what it says....At Greystar, we care about our residents, clients, and partners -- and it shows. We didn’t set out to be the biggest, only to be the best. Our focus on people, genuine relationships, and shared values has created a unique and defining company culture.Believe every word of it because if I believe even if the situation that I was in comes only 2nd to a death in a family, I believe any other company in the apartment living industry would have looked at my situation and stayed in policy without care. Elan City Lights Management looked beyond policy and followed what defines Greystar the company they worked for.The reason I believe Greystar is #1 is because they choose people that identifies with the culture they are trying to build. The CEO all the way down to Elan City Lights Management and Associates believe in the most core and simple value, treat people like people.Mentioning your names individually would do you all an injustice, so I would like to thank Elan City Lights Management and Associates for the kindness, the professionalism and the humanity. You all make a GREAT TEAM!I would recommend Greystar communities not just in Texas, but all over the Country.
Nice property but parking is becoming an issue. Crime is out of control! Also, my car was vandalized twice as well as other cars. The front gate has been broken for weeks allowing whoever to come in and out. Also, theres no cameras in the garages.
Cant wait to move in its a great apartment building with great amenities. Cant thank enough to Joseph for his help professional and friendly.
I have been living at Elan since April and havent had a problem since . Awesome location and management, sucks for those who have not had the best experience *I Have* 😎... I signed my lease with Melina Monetes and got the best bang for my many bucks 💵💵.. Keep up good work ...
