Apartments are nice, but just hope you don’t ever have any issues with your unit because management isn’t great at responding/or helpful with fixing the problems. We haven’t been able to use our dryer properly because it won’t hook up to the vent. They don’t believe that it’s actually clogged and we have done everything on our end as well as pay out of pocket to fix the issue cause we thought it was our new dryer, but it’s not. Our garage had a leak prior to moving in and nobody has come out to fix it, it’s even worse now since all the rain. (thank goodness we have pictures and filled out our move in check list. We left boxes outside our apartment while cleaning that we were going to take to the trash ourselves and they charged us a $75 fee cause they weren’t broken down for vallet trash. No warning or anything. It’s ridiculous. All they care about is getting people moved in and charging you for anything and everything they can. You have to pay a monthly fee for the fitness center, but not all the equipment even works. We are looking forward to our lease being up so we can move out! No idea why they have so many good reviews, must be the incentive rewards program that they have. I’m sure they will just respond to this post and ask us to reach out like every other comment they make 😂😂😂

I have lived here for 3 years and been thru the changes in management and noticed communication is better in the office. I have not had any issues with communication with the office. I love the maintenance team!! They are always ready to help with anything and work very hard to keep the community clean; even though tenants may trash the garbage areas, I’ve personally seen the maintenance team working hard to keep the trash inside the trash can. Thank you guys so much for your hard work; it’s greatly appreciated! My for babies, Mack & Princess love it here. I love that pets are welcomed and the pet areas are clean, the pool area is amazing and the location is smack in the middle of everything.

I moved from Florida, never even toured the apartment just applied online and Katelynn followed up answering every question and concern i had before transitioning me to Martha who was very sweet as well. My apartment is really nice, clean and I love the convenience of having my garage for parking. The grounds are clean, the Amazon hub lockers are also super convenient. I had one maintenance request and it was repaired the same day within an hour or two. I have nothing negative to say my entire process was smooth sailing and easy.

We have had such a great experience in the 6 months that we have lived at Century Lake Highlands! You can tell the office staff truly cares about their residents. Claudia, Martha and Kaitlyn have all been so helpful and accommodating from day 1. Our apartment was so clean when we moved in, we love the walking trail right behind our apartment and our pups love the well taken care of dog park! Maintenance is always on top of their game and the property is always so well taken care of. The office is always hosting fun giveaways and free goodies for their residents. If we did not have to relocate due to work we would definitely be renewing our lease. I would highly recommend Century Lake Highlands if you are looking for a safe, clean, and homey apartment complex with exceptional customer service.

These apartments used to be very nice until First Communities became management. They are not assertive, do not communicate with residents, are not available, and charge us for trash & gym and the trash is not picked up everyday (on scheduled days) and The gym is not always open. I’ve heard the manager Alice use inappropriate language in referencing tenants. The property needs cleaning, they seem to be only concerned with the front curb appeal and the breezeways & stairwells are simply nasty! The parking lot gets trashy as well. I’m not sure if the owners are aware, but they should most definitely pay this property a visit and take a closer look at the professionalism of the management team. This complex is too nice for management to let it get run down. The maintenance team is very nice, but I think it’s like two of them, which could be why the property is dirty. It would be nice to get these apartments back to luxury status like they used to be. Overall, it’s not horrible and it’s in a great location with nice amenities. The main issue is management and their lack of concern and professionalism. Hopefully, things start to improve.

After living here for a year (honest review)I enjoy living here. Neighbors aren’t to bad. I feel like I live in a good building. I love how the walking trail is right next the their dog park. My dogs and I enjoy their dog park almost everyday. Their pool is nice and I love their gym. I also like how the gym isn’t full of people and well equipped. I never hear my neighbors through the wall. It’s a good place to live. Management is nice and good service. They do take a while to respond but they will answer all your questions. What I don’t like about living here is that the pool is always packed. Im sure most people at the pool, don’t even live here. It’s so full during the weekend, you can’t even enjoy it. I’ve also seen dogs in the pool. I wish management was a little stricter on pool rules. When I first moved in, I would see unleashed dogs around the complex but I don’t see it anymore. Most residents are responsible dog owners. It’s a nice area and close to retail stores. I would recommend living here.

We were never able to move in. They kept pushing our move in date. 2 weeks before move in they told us it had an A/C issue and needed to push the date. We said okay, we’ll push the movers, we’ll live out of boxes for the next two weeks. The new date came around and the DAY BEFORE move in they called to say there was another issue and we would be unable to move in at all. We had movers, we had all our billing set up to move to the new place. My lease was ending the same week essentially leaving us without a place to live. It was a MAJOR inconvenience.

Trash bins are always over flowing. The outside bocce ball area is nasty. The furniture is all moldy and the decorative lights don’t work and have been broken by children throwing the balls at them. The grill is gross. Fire pit has never worked and the children play in it all the time. I don’t think the management staff ever walk the property. If they did it might look better. I’ve lived here since the beginning at it just keeps going down hill. I pay extra fees for the stuff they don’t take care of.

I was told Id receive a call about help with a package and no one has reached out to even offer a solution or to help. Weve put in a work order 2 weeks ago and still nothing from maintenance or management. I believe the office staff is just here to collect a paycheck and thats about it. Not too happy with them at all.EDIT: We placed a work order on April 27th about clogged drains and never heard from them. We thought maybe they didnt see it? So we placed our second order today, come to find out the closed and completed the work order on May 3rd. Thats impossible since there has been someone home at all times since January. Ran outside and spoke to him from the balcony then ran down trying to show him my permit his words exactly No you dont have a permit, I dont care you werent in visitor parking before I couldve gotten down there he didnt have my car all hooked up and left. It wasnt even 2 min before I got down and he didnt have the car connected to mine so he mustve hurried and forced the Jack under my car and drove of quick so i wouldnt catch up to him. DO NOT MOVE HERE... First Communities property management is so unprofessional.I have lived here a total of five years. One year when they first opened and going on four years now. They have gone through so many property management companies. When we lived in building 9 I called emergency maintenance for over 2 hours when the apartment flooded and then they told me to get a room and pay for it myself while they fixed it even though it was due to their neglect from the apartment leaking upstairs which I had reported to weeks earlier when I started seeing water spots. There was no peer due to water leaking on the power panel. I was pregnant in the middle of the summer. Then they rip up the carpet and but huge fans in the apartment and run the electric bill up which they said they’d pay as well as prorate our rent because this app took over two weeks. They never did either one and then got a new property management company. Once I brought up it was not a habitable unit they let us move but charged us a new deposit and we had to pay to move everything. Now in this new apartment this is the third time in 12 months the AC has gone out. And it’s the middle of summer and I have a four month old baby. The girl in the office lied and said she never spoke with my husband then all of a sudden when I ask to speak to the manager she magically remembers. She refused to transfer me to the manager and said she’ll put in a work order but she doesn’t know. Now my apartment faces the street where it is not enclosed in the fence and has a unsecured window unit in it that we have to leave while we go to work. She said it was her problem. If you value your personal items and time do not move here!

Moved in little over a year ago, was a great step up in quality of life. The location is perfect for the Dallas life experience with everything at our fingertips. I feel its a little pricey for what you get, but they try to make up for it with perks. The Apartment Life Coordinators are hands down the best quality. Free community events that are well thought out with actual care for what people enjoy. The rest of the amenities are good, but you really have to stay in the management team to keep things working. Took about a year to get the dog park fountain to work, the fire pit by building 9 breaks and wont work for months at a time, the gates are always malfunctioning, and there is no connection to the white rock trail that is literally right there but no way to get to it which was very disappointing. Assistant Manager Jessica is the BEST. She is sweet and understanding and as helpful as she can be. We really like it here, just had those minor flaws that come with normal life. Would recommend! SHOUT OUT TO THE APARTMENT LIFE COORDINATORS! YOU GUYS ROCK!

I moved to this property for the schools (RISD) and have lived on the property since 2017. I’ve enjoyed my experience until First Communities became the property management company. It has gone downhill fast since then. Management is unresponsive to issues for months on end. I have sent numerous emails and called with no response. Alice and Claudia have no customer service skills and don’t know how to actually resolve issues. The only person in the office that is helpful is Martha who has worked in the office since I’ve moved in. I reached out to Corporate to help resolve my issues and had no luck. They even take weeks to respond. It’s clear the issues start with the executives and trickle down to property management. Residents are not considerate that they live above or around other people, dog owners rarely pick up after their dogs, the hallways reek of dog pee, the gate has been broken for months and there is never any parking available for residents. We had a Cares Team who was the liaison between resident and property management for years until First Communities eliminated their position. I was told by them and several other residents about the same issues and frustrations that I’m experiencing The only good thing is the maintenance team. They are on top of completing the orders and actually care about the property. I would not lease a unit from this property until property management changes.

Even though that has occurred, I have never been disappointed with the transitions. The staff is super accommodating to whatever needs you wish. There has been a few break ins but the management team worked on the issue right away insuring resident safety. Police come quickly and all the neighbors look out for one another. The school districts are great and the area has come a long way. Recently the complex has added a Care team which organizes community events and social greets. That is a pleasant addition. My car died inside my garage and they were so quick to help me figure out a solution. Without them I would have been in a bad spot. Thank you CLH! Great experience for me and my family. ❤️

The best way to describe the living experience here is a combination between a race track (road noise from Skillman), a dog pound (barking dogs), a music festival (loud music from the parking lot), being grounded again (cant have friends over because there is no where for them to park), a tow yard (ALWAYS TOWING PEOPLE), and to top it all off, a dryer sheet separating you from your neighbor (paper thin walls). Management has some nice people, but their understaffed and in turn not always responsive. I lived in the Village just down the street for 4 years before here and it was only about a 491% better experience. Steer clear.

I lived at the complex for one year. The exterior is nice and the pool was appealing when I viewed the property. I was new to the area, so I signed a lease. I soon realized that the interiors are poor quality and the noise between floors is horrible. I know, its an apartment, but these are basic construction and nothing high end about them. I say that because that is how Century Lake Highlands presents itself, as Luxurious and its not. All this is tolerable if there are helpful and customer service focused people working there, and this is where they fall short, the people working there. They are indifferent in the areas of the condition of the property, what goes on at the pool, and taking care of the needs of residents. I moved out and asked repeatedly for someone to contact me about my deposit, and even stopped in twice. I was met with dismissal and general slight, barely short of rudeness, barely. I would not recommend this property to any of my friends or co-workers. The Cares team is amazing and they are constantly putting on community activities for fun and to help you get to know other people. We couldn’t have asked for a better apartment to move into.

I recently moved to these apartments, and so far the staff has been very friendly. Looking for a new home was a very stressful and overwhelming process, but once I came here the leasing agent, Crystal made it very easy and stress free. She was very helpful and knowledgeable in her job. Every time I have gone into the office she has always greeted me with a smile. Thank you for making the transition into our new home as easy as possible!!!

I moved here from Nashville without knowing anyone and was nervous about finding a community that felt like home. Every community has its challenges but the apartment life team, Zach and Michelle, make Century Lake Highlands feel like home. I love their friendly hello’s in the parking lots and their events are fun and engaging. You can tell they genuially care about their neighbors.

We loved our stay here.. Jenna was our leasing agent and she was wonderful in explaining each and every things.. Kim is a wonderful manager, she always listen to all of us and takes care of everything. Three main things I like most here are the resident parties every month, amazing maintenance staff which fixes everything on the same day, clean & safe & new apartments with greater quality appliances. Thanks to the staff and management !!!!

I have lived at this complex since it opened 3 years ago. The first 2 years were great until the change in ownership last year to Lincoln properties. Since then the property and staff has gone down hill and fast. This complex is destine to be just like all the other complexs in Lake Highlands run down and section 8. They have allowed towing within the complex and will tow your guest cars with no warning. They have no clear policy for parking with insufficient signage and only 10 labeled visitor parking spots. I am positive someone is getting a kick back from the towing here. They refuse to give my daughter a parking pass, even though she is listed as an occupant on my lease and have towed her car twice and they dont care to resolve the issue with me. The walls are paper thin, the security gates to the complex are always broken and the office staff is constantly changing. There is a ton of crime activity within the complex. My garage was broken into and it took them 2 days to even put a lock back on it. DO NOT RENT HERE

The parking situation here is an absolute nightmare. I have a 3 month old and they towed my car and I AM A RESIDENT. Also they refused to pay for the towing or the inconvenience. And there are only 22 guest parking spots for the HUNDREDS of apartments on site. And this is an issue that I have brought to the attention of management on more than one occasion. ALSO, while I was pregnant and sleeping one morning, a maintenance worker walked into my apartment and into my bedroom because he didn’t hear a response when he knocked. I was sleeping IN MY OWN ROOM IN MY UNDERWEAR. That was also brought to the attention of the staff here and the next week another worker walked in WHILE I WAS SHOWERING. And that was AFTER my conversation with management asking them to no longer send maintenance workers into my apartment without an appointment. Which they agreed to, and did not uphold. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Terrible experience at Century Lake Highlands. Jessica the assistant manager is no help at all, and this property will lie to you repeatedly. I was supposed to move into my apartment 12/31/2018 into a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit. This unit was sold to me as hardwood floor living room and carpet bedrooms. After agreeing to everything they forgot to mention to me that they were going to strip up the carpet and replace it with hardwood flooring throughout the entire unit. Upon picking up my keys, seeing all hardwood flooring, the unit filthy, water damaged floorboards, plus kitchen drawers and paint splattered cabinets. I asked management why I wasn’t informed of this until move in date, their response was “it slipped through the cracks”. They offered me another unit same floor plan that was supposedly ready and had carpet, I went to view it and to no surprise it was all hardwood and was completely trashed. I will be posting pictures below of this unit. After explaining that the unit had all hardwood, and still had trash from previous owner they apologize and tell me they will allow me to move into a different floor plan that is bigger and ready for move in but since the whole process has been a headache they will allow me to stay at the same rent amount. I viewed the unit and loved it, it was great. BUT...... I get back into the office to sign paper work, and well.. just as you can guess, THEY LIED. Told me they cannot give me the same price because they would be losing too much money for that unit, so I’m not even sure as to why they even bothered lying and letting me view this unit. After everything, I ask for the return of my $1,863, the assistant manager (Jessica) says it usually takes 30 days to refund but she will expedite the process. I go into the office today to see when to expect my refund, she tells me again it can take up to 30 days and that she is “trying” to expedite the amount but isn’t too sure if she can. I RECOMMEND YOU STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX.

Ive been living here going on 2 years and I absolutely LOVE living here! Anytime Ive had an issue, they fix it right away. The front office workers are all super nice and not to mention they have resident parties every couple of months and treat us with dinner, and fun games. (which they dont have to do) they truly care about all their residents! The clubhouse here is such a plus! Everyone Ive ever met in there has been so friendly and weve all built a friendly relationship. It really does feel like a family outside of my family here at NorthRock. My husband and I were looking for a house and we loved living here so much that we held off and renewed our lease for another year! When we do move, I will miss living here very much. Ive lived in a lot of apartments but this is the first place that has felt like home.

I moved here few days before and disappointed with the unit and management. Unit not even ready but they rented it. Room STINKS, wall cracks, cabinet doors not closing properly, light/fan not working, no door for closet. Felt rude when ask about this to the management. Worst experience i ever had :(Be cautious while making payment through their system. You will be charged even if the system fails; on top of it late payment fee. Also, keep monitoring your monthly charges.

I have nothing to say but absolute good facts about Century Lake Highlands. I moved in a month ago. Krystal and the entire team made it so easy for me to complete the lease process and move in within a couple of days. I had a credit from the application process and was posted to my account in no time. Just yesterday I had to submit a work order which got taken care of on the same day taking to account it was on weekend day. The Apartment life team is absolutely something else. They show you love and respect from the very first interaction!!

Stay away! It is not safe! Way to dangerous if you value your life and car/home. Repeat do not move in here. My mom got her car stole and broken into. The gate is always broken and so are the cameras.

Pros-Each unit and amenities are like new- Spacious units, great location-Other amenities like the pool and gym are nice as well-Staff have always been friendly and helpful, maintenance staff are fairly prompt to respond to issues/requestsCons- Some people that hang out in the areas between the buildings can be pretty loud.- One of the office members seemed to be very indifferent when I personally went to the office to tell them about my upstairs neighbor being unreasonably noisy; they didnt seem to do anything about it.-Been here a year, and have had 2-3 reports of break ins.Overall, excellent place to live in. Great residents, great staff, and the units are really clean and new for the price you pay. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Cons are not bad, just can be annoying at times.

Ive lived here since June 2015. So far I love it. I live on the third floor so no neighbors walking above me. Its an apartment, so you should know that if someone lives above you chances are you will hear them. Granite countertops, stainless appliances, laminate floors throughout at a great value! Great kitchen and bathrooms. Any maintenance issues are fixed same day and staff is friendly. Gym is kind of small. Other than that I love it here.

When I look for a place to live, (I have been transferred a lot with work) one of the first things I look for is a great office staff to work with. Because I travel for work I have needed them to help me with various tasks to keep me up and running. THIS GROUP GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND the call of duty when it comes to going the extra mile for their residents.NorthRock has every amenity a busy professional is looking for, Dry cleaning, they take care of all your incoming box deliveries when out of town, door to door trash pick up, (who has time for that?) I really love it here! Thanks Jenna, Carlos & Kimberly for all you do!

I moved to Century Lake Highlands in July 2017. Ive had good experiences here. Of course theres the occasional loud neighbor. Yes, sometimes only one side of a gate opens. And yes, sometimes inconsiderate dog owners think theyre above picking up after their animal. But Im happy with the location and the staff, maintenance and office. Ive never had an unpleasant interaction with anyone, employee or resident. The biggest issue other people review is the parking situation. Parking here is tight, and you should always ask about guest parking policies before you sign a lease. Im still happy with CLH; its a good starter complex in a decent part of town.

This apartment complex went downhill fast after being taken over by the new management. My husband and I lived here for 2 years and we couldnt wait for our lease to be up last month. As others have mentioned, no one picks up after pets, there is the smell of marijuana throughout the halls, maintenance doesnt keep up with place like it should (more so filters and routine things that should be done within each apartment every so often, which the last management company took care of regularly), and neighbors are loud at the pool all hours of the night. The only reason I give 2 stars is because the apartment itself is really nice on the inside; however, you are paying for it. This place has always been pricey but with the previous management doing a good job it seemed worth it. I would not recommend this place to a friend or family member to live.

Awesome community, I love the garage attached to the building !! It gives you the convenience of walking inside of the building from your car to your apartment directly, if youre on the first floor, I recently transferred on site to the third floor and I transferred my garage as well, and even though I cant go directly to my apartment from the breezeway door, I still dont have to go outside, I just cut the corner, go to the stairwell, and walk upstairs to my apartment, dry, mind you !! I love that the new management: Lincoln took over, I know this place needs a bit of TLC: Tender, Love, and Care. But with their hard work, they will definitely get this property where it needs to be, from what I can tell, the staff members work well together and effectively !!!!! Its just like any other property changing management, this community is no different from the many millions in Dallas changing, WELCOME TO THE DALLAS MULTIFAMILY MARKET !!!!!! I hope this was of help to anyone deciding to lease here, its a good decision !!

Started great but went south… Almost 2 months into my lease and no major issues so far. Was unaware of any reviews just picked this place because it checked all my boxes of what I wanted. As far as the actual apartments, a step above what most apartments are in Dallas. Rent for me was a bit above as well. As with all apartments, you’ll have neighbors. Some loud some quiet. Some with kids some with pets. Not necessarily the complex’s fault on the behavior of tenants. If there are problem tenants then of course, but generally speaking they have kept the complex clean and have had interactive events for tenants to enjoy and meet other tenants and local businesses. Which quite frankly, is sometimes the fix to issues for tenants... Meet your neighbors. See if they have dogs/kids. Let them know who you are and anything that may be an issue, when it’s an issue. Try to find positives and similarities. Then understand that kids/pets on above floors or next door will eventually make more noise than you desire at some point. Let the tenant know respectfully and try to be understanding. Better neighborship (made that word up) usually leads to better tenants and better overall residency!…Almost 2 years in and it’s a no for me! Switched management during Covid and things have went downwards since. Parties at the pool after hours. Noise complaints. Trash is always full causing rodent and roach issues. Charge you for trash pick up but hit or miss on actually picking it up. Payment site is up and down with issues. Charge for the gym is non negotiable monthly whether you use it or not and doesn’t have but 2 treadmills, an elliptical and a bench in it. Gate NEVER works. Yeah, I was definitely tricked.

This is an okay place to live. Work orders are not promptly responded to, the gate is constantly broken, parking is an issue, the place smells like marijuana constantly (nothing against it, I just dont like to have to constantly smell it). It was a much better with our prior management. The online system doesnt seem to work very well, I constantly have issues with it. The pros, the location (close to 75 and 653), nice pool, clean around the apartments, and the apartments are nice inside.

This is the worst place you could ever live. At first when I moved in we had great management, it was a very nice place to live and I love being at home. But since the new management took over there horrible. Their children swimming all times of night, no consideration for Neighbors, the management is negligent and I say this with cause. They didnt even notify the entire community that there was a shooting in the apartment complex. I only found out about it when I saw the review on the website. This is a community issue that they should have notified everyone about. Everybody who moved in has left because of the new management. Lincoln Properties Is Not Great management and they dont know how to treat people. I cant wait until my lease is over and leave this place. I could get a nice house for the price I pay for the stupid apartment. The office staff is rude, they keep you waiting for a very long time when you show up and look at you Like you have no business being there. The management is just horrible, they keep changing it but it gets worse and worse, Stephanies a new manager and she is a complete flake & ditzy . They dont email you when you have a package and they dont tell you when you have a parking permit unless you keep asking and asking for fear of having your car towed. Ive been at different apartments that cost less and had bad management but this is by far the worst for how much I pay. They never host resident events and when they do theyre pretty crappy as well. No class at all anymore. Im a little bit resentful of the old management for not letting us know that someone was buying this place out because I would not have renewed my lease had I known. I have a countdown going until I can move out and if I could give this place 0 Stars I would. Peoples cars get broken into and the front gate does not always work. Sometimes its left a jar and anyone can just walk in. theres some shady people moving around smoking weed everywhere. Up and down the hallways and the Old management used to do background checks and make sure that none of this was happening so I dont understand how this management company does not have a clue about how to manage a property. Do not move here. People do not pick up after their pets and management does nothing as well. The hallways of a complete mess this bills everywhere and they dont clean anything or fix anything. These are new apartments but theyve gone from new to dingy. Wonderful job Lincoln properties of messing up something so good. All of the original residents have left and Ive been here for over 2 years and Im leaving too. Look at all Lincoln Properties before you move in because youre probably get the same type of treatments. By the way they completely change Clubhouse hours and They have all these weird new restrictions which old management did not have. It feels like you live in a boarding home.
