Called every phone number available for this company. Always get the same automated list. The mailbox is always full. I cant pay online because the system isnt working and there is no person available to assist -- its totally automated. Hope you never have a problem if you use them. The pickup service is excellent though.
No one will answer or return calls. The company charged me $1234.67 on my credit card for no apparent reason. They are not available to talk about it. Dumpsters consistently late or no show. Will not ever use them again.
I was with Rocky Mtn. Disposal since they started their company, Great Company. If I ever did have a problem they took care of it right away. I guess HBS bought them out, and there have been some problems. If I have a question regarding my bill, service, etc., it is very hard to get through. Either no one answers, cant leave a msg., as the mailbox is always full. When a new system was changed to pay your bill, I couldnt pay my bill for a month. I finally was able to contact someone, and two very kind ladies were able to help me get my bill paid. My trash container was left in the street, and a car hit it, I did speak to another lady, and she was kind enough to report it to the route manager. Today, again, my trash container was left half in the street. I was hoping the same problem would not happen in the future. I am hoping it will be left where they found it, on the curb, on my driveway, not in the street, or half in the street. I want to give this company a chance, hoping it will improve their services, and get a better phone system. Hopeful
Was a great construction roll off service, I used them for 2 years, used them for 5 years when they were Haulaway. Had great price and no hassle to keep dumpster until jobs finished, but recently nearly doubled price and 7 day rental only . And the office people hang up, dont call back, and cant read email and send correct responses??? Using another service
They havent answered their phone or email in like a year, there is no obvious way to cancel service. Theyve missed my recycling and always pick it up the next day, but its still annoying. Rates are not any better than infinite disposal.
My trash can was taken among other issues.The receptionist was very sweet.. I had informed her that I was not able to get thru per the phone and she informed me there was a phone issue. Philip was awesome..he took the time out to let me know he will be taking care of my issue first thing tomorrow. Hes very personable, and a very sweet smile. He is the reason Im not changing services. Feel free to make him my regular sanitation engineer 💙
Can I give zero stars? Dont waste your time and money. Pickup is sometimes right on, but dont call customer service, there is never an answer. Its sad I wanted to give a smaller organization an opportunity to earn my business. I wouldnt recommend them
Same billing issues as others have mentioned--have called multiple times and cant get ahold of anyone and their mailbox is always full. How are you guys still in business?? lol
The driver in truck 511 on 5/14/2021 in front of Brent Mane baseball park almost caused me to have an accident by stopping in the middle of the street just to be spiteful so I couldnt pull out. If this company promotes behaviors like this, rest assured its probably not a great company. Im fully aware of how dangerous refuse trucks are, and for a driver to use his truck as a weapon is so unacceptable on so many levels. Id never do business with this company based on this incident, and I wont be surprised when I see the driver on the evening news for killing someone on the street.
Never use these fools! I cancelled service with them 5 months ago and was to receive a refund. Over the several calls made to them, they have always assured me my refund will come and it still has not. They do not answer phone calls or return calls as promised. Customer service is the worst I have ever seen. I will file complaints with several agencies to get a resolution.
Random bill arrives in mailbox. I call to find out why, Bc we use Waste Managment & have for a few years. Lady who answers phone has no idea why, starts talking to me like i am in 3rd grade. Repeating the invoice I told her I have in my hand. She gives me multiple end dates, that the account was closed and then says it’s set to close on a date in the future. Baby crying in background, so I ask for a corporate number, she then tells me her mom does the bookkeeping and that her mom will call me in the morning. She then tells me she will close the account today... Um, back to the first question, I have no trash bin, or service from you why do I have a bill??? Stick to a more known service provider... again not sure why I have a bill?
Worst company ever!!! If i could have given no stars I would. The women that answer the phones here are so incompetent. They somehow manage to mess up every single order. They could care less. They hang up on you every-time you call or put you on hold for 30 mins+. I have never dealt with such a group of incapable adults. I am surprised this company is even still in business. I would never refer them to anyone, even if they were last resort. I would refer U-haul before I told anyone about this company. I can not explain how much of a headache this company is! STAY AWAY!!!!!!
This company never answer the phone. Been trying to find out about my bill for weeks now.
I have been a customer for a few years and service was good originally, but over the past several months the driver on the route I am on has been slacking. Things like not making sure the container was completely empty, when the trash fell out of the bin on the truck he will just leave it on the ground and more recently he just leave my container in the cul-de-sac. I will be finding another company as soon as this quarter is up.
We live out east in Peyton. The guy that runs our route is awesome. I try and say hello every time he rolls through. I had a few extra items outside of my normal trash and he didnt give me a hard time about it. I appreciate HBS trash services for acknowledging the human factor and not treating me like a number.
If you want consistent missed trashed pick ups, to spend your time arguing with the rudest ladies Ive ever spoken to and random billing fees then this company is right for you. Oh and a special shout out to the lady working today. Shes a real hoot. Yall would think youd be really good at customer service by now with all the times weve called to complain.
Absolutely unprofessional, found out today they changed systems and deleted our auto pay and when I called HBS said they would not pick up our trash until next cycle and charged us a late fee. HBS never reached out to inform us about their new system. I have been on hold for over 30 minutes. We will be switching companies
I agree with the person that posted about them changing their system and then charging everyone late fees because of it. That is BS and very unprofessional. I feel the people that work in the actual office need to learn some manners and need to be trained on how to be professional. I will most like switch garbage carriers in the next month or so.
These people have HORRIBLE customer service! They have people working the phones that don’t know the rates or who they will pick up for or not or what services they offer! The first person i talked to told me all the wrong things and they wouldn’t honor it. I would suggest not going with them!
THE worst customer service I have experienced in years. They are horrible. This alone will cause them to lose business and drive us to their competitor. The guys who pick up the trash are excellent though.
Can’t reach anyone when you try and call them to make a payment, get updates or ask any questions. Would not recommend it’s been more then a headache for us.
The service itself is fine. But its kind of bull that they changed their website kicking everyone off of auto pay then charging late fees for not receiving payment. Ive been on auto pay for almost 3 years now and now have a late fee.
No real issues with the drivers, however the back shop/managers / phone operators are not here to support. They seem rude when you are asking a simple question of why are you not picking up my trash the next day after a light snow. No, we will discount your service; no, we will have someone there in the next day or two; no, solutions other than we will just miss this week - which is not what there website says they will do. Oh and long wait time on the phone, then will randomly hang up on you. Much cheaper, better and more supportive options out there.
I got a notice on my garbage can that my account is suspended. I have had autopay set up for the past two years. Now they say I have a bill that is 90 days late and are charging my $240. I cannot call to pay bill, they told me to call but no one answers the phone, you cannot leave a message, and I am still waiting on a response from an email I sent 11 days ago.
Horrible experience all the way around. They did not inform us when they bought our old company. Have had random issues when they simply did not show multiple times.Most recently last week they decided to only pick up half of our trash cans, even though we pay for all 4. The manager we spoke to offered no help or assistance. Today when they came, we had the extra trash from last week and they just left it all.We have found that there are other choices with better customer service and prices.
Customer service is horrible!!!! My trash only gets picked up once every 2 weeks unless I call i pay for weekly service not biweekly. I wouldnt recommend hbs to anyone. I also will be reaching out to the BBB to file a formal complaint.

This is the longest review I will have EVER left for a company but please read till the end... you’ll thank me!!! The absolute worst service I’ve ever had! I’ve had their residential service for a few years now, unfortunately when the previous company /owner was bought out, Rocky Mountain Disposal, which was absolutely great by the way... I can only assume from reading other reviews that I’m not the only one that had not been contacted to inform me that they were under new ownership with a new software system and that my auto pay information needed to be updated so I would not experience a lapse in service.The only way I knew there was an issue was because my trash hadn’t been picked up that day and I had to call them the next morning to figure out what the heck was going on. I was informed they needed my payment info because everything was in the old software and there was apparently no way for them to access it. I’m sorry but I’m confused??? Since when is it my responsibility to contact the business owner to make sure my payment info is still up to date in your system when my info hasn’t changed over the past 3 years? As if this isn’t aggravating enough to have happened once (terrible first impression for the new ownership/management, but this has actually happened twice since then! Ok so at first I just figured a glitch ... new management and maybe they just had a moment... I gave them the benefit of the doubt . Yes, I know I continued with the service and it happened again and again, so those are on me for continuing with the service and not canceling. You know life is hard enough as it is, my days are busy and I simply allowed it to sit on the back burner instead of searching for a new service. Honestly I don’t have the time for this BS and the Hassle of trying to remember to research and sign up for a new service. We all live busy lives and the world is absolutely crazy right now so my trash service and whether or not they’ll remember to do their job this week isn’t exactly something I think of daily . I just received my quarterly statement which isn’t due until the last day of the month mind you, but somehow my account is 60 days past due? On the statement it stated that they had yet another software system update and that my service will be interrupted if they do not receive payment by the due date . Well surprise surprise I received this statement on the same day my trash was not picked up, and of course the statement due date hasn’t even passed yet. I get the same answer every time I call them, new software you needed to update your autopay info. I NEVER leave reviews unless it is a good one because I’m not a whiner, but I absolutely had to make the time for this one with the hope that anyone who may be looking for service will see this and know that this company is absolutely NOT the company you should waste your time and hard earned $$$ on. I have found a more affordable service in my area and have just recently (as of 15 min ago) registered for . Clearly I can’t offer a review for them yet BUT I swear how bad can it be since I’ve already experienced the worst I’ve ever had the displeasure of experiencing? Long rant I know but someone had to finally do it. Don’t bother, don’t waste anymore time than it took you to read this review and find another trash service! If this helps ONE person it was worth my time!!!
They are the cheapest, but they are very unreliable. They can go weeks without picking the trash especially on snowy days. I signed for the recycling service, and they never picked up. I had to put my recycling container back three times. It was so frustrating.
3 weeks later I finally got my trash picked up! Thanks HBS for doing a trashy job!

Horrible company. Unbeknownst to me, they apparently bought Rocky Mountain Disposal, the company Id been happily with for years. The drivers seem good but management is utterly worthless. Even though it costs me a month, Im going over to Bestway NOW.
Been happy with them over the last year no issues besides been difficult to reach customer service with question via phone. Good rates compared to the competitors and the 96 Gallon Cans are great! Drivers have helped me out to when I have had extra trash and not charged me extra. Only complaints are they do not have as many same bin recyclable items as the competition & I’ve had one missed trash pickup.

We always put our trash out the night before pick up and we continue to have problems getting our trash picked up. There are no cars parked near it and nothing in the way. Customer service said there is no fix for this issue and they have to remind the driver to pick it up. Thats poor service if you have to remind your drivers to pick up a long time customers trash. We will definitely be looking for a better trash company.
I was on hold for more than 20 minutes. When are these companies going to quit using COVID as an excuse for bad customer service. That goes for municipalities also.

If you have to get ahold of someone I recommend driving to their office, it’s about the same time you’ll be on hold for.
They skipped picking up our trash twice, we have only been with them 1.5 months. They were supposed to pick up our bins due to canceling service and I’ve had to call three times because no one has picked up the bins. Today is 9/28, scheduled bib pickup was 9/18. Ridiculous. They also charged us 25 dollar cancellation fee.
Phone 30 min wait, disconnected, 30 min wait - -Did not inform of company change/purchase -Late charges removed without a hassle +
Terrible company. Do not care about customers even if you are a long time customer. Would not recommend at all.
