The help and attitude at the front desk was great. Prices better than expected. Ive seen some of the negative comments...no idea about their experience, but mine was great. Ive logged and pulped half of my life, and at 65 yrs young I know someone who knows what theyre talking about, and someone who doesnt. They will be my go to place for saws and saw accessories.

First off Ive been doing business with shultzs for 10 years. I purchased a brand new echo weed eater with a 5 year warranty covering manufacturer defects the first time I had an issue with it was 6 months after I bought it I took it in it took a month to get it back and when I went to pick it up they told me it was a $40 bill for repairing it I asked why and stated it was under warranty and they said they put in a new spark plug air filter fuel filter and fresh gas however I had checked all of that and it was not the reason it wasnt running so we went out to the parking lot and tried to start it up and sure enough it still would not run properly obviously that they had not even tried to start it so they took it back after another two weeks they said it was fixed went out and tested it and still the same problem would not stay running so after a third time and finally ran properly and would start very hard so another year or so went by and I got tired of it starting hard and I noticed the spark plug was loose come to find out the person who had put the spark plug back in it one of Schultzs employees that cross threaded it and stripped the threads out of the cylinder i then went back there and they said the warranty does not cover that and wanted to charge me to fix that they refuse to cover it under warranty and since they damaged it no other ECHO dealer will cover it I have to say after 10 years of being a loyal customer and getting screwed over on this trimmer I will never do business with shultzs again

Worst customer service Ive encountered!!! The female counter person (Kelly) is offensively rude & very unprofessional. Dont waste your time or money at this establishment.

Rude service. Ive gone there twice now and both times been treated rudely by employees. First time was about the brand of equipment and second time for not paying a higher price for their part over price I could get elsewhere.. Sad that this is what we get in portage. Glad Big R is coming to town. Will have a option for small engine parts. I will not shop here again.

Stopped in and Talked with Don Shultz today about buying a husqvarna chainsaw, great guy with tons of knowledge, very pleasant guy, clean, well organized store, tons of equipment in stock, great prices, ill definatley give this store my buisness, going back at the end of the week to buy my new saw.Update: I went in on Saturday and ended up buying 2 new husqvarna saws. Extra chains, bar and chain oil, chain files, etc. Again, service was great, Kelly got me everything i needed, and even threw in a few extras, prices are very good, cheaper than the big box stores, Steve from service went thru starting and operating procedures on the saws. All in all i am very happy with my experiance, purchase and service i have gotten from Schultz Small Engine. I would recommend them to anyone, Looking for chainsaws or Lawn and garden equipment.

WOW, what a great place to do business. I drove from Friendship Wi down to Portage on a recommendation of a friend. Kelly and Don could not have been friendlier or more helpful. I went down to have my Husky repaired but upon their recommendation as to the cost of repairs I would be better off purchasing a new one, which I did. They treated me as if they knew me forever.
