I read that ReLuxe Nail & Spa Boutique suffered from the violence of 2020. I am sorry that happened to your business and I hope the very best for you. Peace on earth
Me and my mom stopped by earlier today to see if they would be able to fix our chipped and broken nails. Cindy was wonderful and got us booked for later that day. Cindy and Erika stayed late to do our nails and did such an amazing job! Made our girls weekend to Chicago even better! I would totally recommend this place to anyone living here or just passing through! We’d come back every time if we lived closer.
One of the best in the city I got a no chip manicure that has lasted a month. They also shaped my nails beautifully I will absolutely be returning.
Was there on holiday from South Africa - called in to book an appointment. The lady who I spoke to, obviously has better things to do. Next day, I came in for my appointment. I wasnt greeted, the lady at the front had no idea what her job entailed. I then asked for the toilet, she pointed in a direction and I accidentally went in to the room and she almost had a heart attack. Nail technician was great and friendly but such horrible customer service. DISGUSTING
Absolutely perfection! They take the time to clearly understand your needs and go out of their way to ensure that you’re completely satisfied.
Fairly sure Ive found my new nail spot. I knew they were doing something right when they couldnt service my husband because he didnt have an appointment and they were full about an hour and a half before closing. Ive only worked with Puja and she is super sweet. Its clean, the color selection is amazing and the environment is light and inviting. Ive also gone with my 11yr old daughter and they were very welcoming to her and she had a great experience as well.Update: Im certain Ive found my nail shop. I just got to experience some out of this world customer service.
Kaitlyn is truly an amazing artist, not only for dip manicures but for eye brows as well. Her wit, genuine warmth and overall loveliness as a person only makes the ReLuxe all the more enticing. Staff could not be nicer. Unbeatable.
Hmmmmm! Where can I start?! I loved my whole experience here. I had an event here, a diaper party/baby shower. Of course the ambiance was everything. The staff helped with whatever I needed. They made sure my needs were met as well as my guests as some selected to receive services during the event. All of my guests were very pleased with the services they received and do plan on going back. As for myself, one of the best pedicures I’ve ever had. The jelly pedicure was awesome!
By far the best nail boutique in the Chicagoland area! Every nail tech is extremely talented. Ambiance is everything! So much variety I didnt know what to choose! Perfect location for every lady to feel like a queen. Its in the name. Reluxe is absolutely stunning...
Terrible customer service. I booked an appointment for a simple gel nail removal and they left me sitting there while they tended to customers who had other services booked. I explained that I had sculpted nail extensions (no tips) and they needed to be hand filed but none of the staff knows it understand gel nails. At the end they double charged me claiming my nails took longer because they had to be soaked - but they simply didn’t understand that gel extensions need to be filed.I’ve been here before for regular mani and pedi but this time the customer service was beyond terrible. I won’t be coming back. If I could rate them zero I would.Next time don’t accept a customer if you don’t know the service they’ve requested.Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.
This was the absolute WORSE nail salon experience EVER! The over all look of the salon is really nice but the pedicure chairs as well as the bowls are HORRIBLE! Typical trying to be too fancy gone WRONG! I dont have dry feet & I swear my feet were drier than they were when I came in after the pedicure! I asked for coffin shaped nails & I have no idea what the nail tech did but my nails look horrible. The pedicure is nothing more than getting your feet wet & polishing your toes. Not to mention the pedicure bowls are so poorly designed, everyone kept hitting the drain plug and letting their water out by accident! The one manager I did talk to didnt NOTHING to even try to satisfy me as the customer...her excuse was that she just got there! She didnt even try to discuss it with the other manager before processing the $87 payment... NEVER AGAIN! They can take their free drinks & kick rocks! They just worked it into the service prices anyways. I would give this place 0 stars if that was an option. Oh & I forgot to mention that is was 87 degrees outside today & they had the heat on. Customers were in there sweating as if they were at the gym. Horrible salon!
ReLuxe nail salon has an amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, and they do awesome nails. This is a nice place to host events like birthday parties and bridal showers, too. There is valet parking or street parking available-depending on how long you will be in this area.
Cute decor however the customer service was pretty unprofessional. ended up waiting ~30 minutes even though I had previously made an appointment. nail lady refused to listen to my suggestions, pushed her own agenda, and then had the nerve to hover over the register while paying to make sure she got a good tip! from now on, I will be staying with my usual spot @Spa O!!
I LOVE this place. Caitlyn really knocked it out of the park with this salon. The women who work there are wonderful and friendly. The place is beautiful and clean and the team really knows how to keep their customers happy. Its one of the only places in town doing dip manicures and they last forever! Im a fan :)
This place is amazing! They are so detail on everything they do. Jackie was amazing! She did such a great job on helping me select a color for my mani / pedi. Andrea rocked it! She did such a great job and made me feel at home. Everyone is so professional, hands down the best salon I’ve ever been to. I wish there was one in Houston.
LOVE this place! Came in for a fill in, was recommended to get a dip manicure that was actually far better for my nails and Ive been hooked ever since. Service was prompt and courteous. I would definitely go back.
1. Didn’t it get my free glass of champagne. When I asked for a glass of water after the pedicure, I was met with an eye roll. She then gave me the glass with the gloves she had just been touching my feet with. That’s disgusting.2. Pedicure chairs are uncomfortable. Hey look cool but not relaxing.3. Pedicure was just soaking my feet, minimal filing, and then paint. Oh and less than 24 hours after getting them they are already chipping.4. Manicure was sloppy. The edges were not wiped with nail polish remover, just a brush so they were all smudged. The only good thing is when I asked if someone could clean the edges, they did.5. When asked at the end how was everything. I replied I was not impressed and the woman didn’t say anything. Awful customer service!DON’T GO HERE
One of the best pedicure I have ever had, very professional and super modern and cozy. Will come again for sure.
The salon is gorgeous and Ersi is true pro! Her work is quality, still looking amazing weeks later! I also love her color recommendations.
This is my very first Google review and I want to share something from my real experience. Ive been to ReLuxe many times since 2017. Even though it is obviously overpriced compared with other nail salons, their collections and interior design is something I like - Im a picky person regarding the cleanness.I just had a classic manicure with ReLuxe and for the very first time, I got a cut on my finger, although not deep, my skepticism drives me crazy for the potential exposure to infection. I called the manager the other day asking about their sterilization procedure and surprisingly, I was put on hold for 3 mins before suggesting to pay a visit. I then met the manager (Liz, based on the name she told me)in person and she explained me how they do the autoclave sterilization - 2 hours duration before settling the tools in the pouch, my skepticism of course drove me to do more research again! The result is what she described is not the technical correct way of using autoclave sterilization! (you should have put the tools in pouch and rest them in machine with high pressured steam for 30mins, the pouch is not for holding tools afterwards but part of the steaming procedure with signifier). Based on that, I cannot trust what the manager has said.My suggestion - be transparent to customer, really regulate the sterilization procedure. To the manager, please be professional in your industrial knowledge, dont wait until a customer challenges you. I dont care if you offer me 15% discount for the next visit or not, TRUST is critical for business and customer loyalty.
I got a dip manicure for the first time. The total experience was wonderful. Lovely salon, great service and beautiful nails.
Ive had my nails done here a few times and now I refuse to go back. The first few times were okay, nothing special but nothing too bad. But the last time I went was horrific - the nail technician was so aggressive with the file that my fingers were bleeding and yet she ignored that factor and pretended it didnt happen with no apology or acknowledgment. Then she stalked me to the counter to ensure I left a good tip when I felt she deserved none. The management was minimally responsive with the complaint afterwards and said they would give me 20% off my NEXT appointment... not even a refund for the horrific experience that left my fingers in pain for days after... not going back and I would steer clear of this place.
Do not go here, or at least avoid a manicurist named Erica. The place is clean and the decor is nice. However, none of the staff is particularly friendly. This was my first mani/pedi ever and probably last. She sanded my heel so hard that my skin cracked open. I told her about it after that the skin really burned and she ignored it. She did everything in a hurry and was so rough. Its 3 days later and my heel has now scabbed over and is still in pain when I step on it. Avoid at all costs.
Decor was cool, thats about it. People were pretty rude and the lady who did my pedicure cut me. Way overpriced for a non-luxuriois manicure and pedicure. First and last time I will ever pay that much for average or below treatment and service. Good thing the place looks cool to get people in the door! Site says 8pm close and they already had the door locked at 7:00pm. Very rushed and non welcoming.
I once got a manicure, and it was really bad. I asked for and ombré and the girl gave a such harsh line sort of like a French mani but the lines were not even straight. And then they offered me a free pedicure for a different day. I came back for the pedicure after 3 weeks and OMG YOU GUYS, the pedicure was SO bad. My cuticles still look bad and the nail tech only gave me two coats and it was just such horrible experience. I work in the beauty industry and I feel like they need to to just spend the right amount of time with clients and take consultations serious. I normally don’t write reviews but this is a very bad place to go to. It’s super cute nails shop but really bad service.
A very nice place, but SO over priced. $26 dollars for a regular manicure is insane. Also it chipped 3 days later. Will NOT be going back for a regular manicure.
Best manicure ever. Natalia is a true artist! Very kind and clean environment. Love!
Great services, fantastic staff, and just a wonderful experience!!
Originally 5 star review but my powder dip nails didnt last long at all. Noticed cracking about 1 week in. By week 2 they were chipping.
Not a friendly atmosphere. 0 stars
Wonderful, wonderful salon. I’d heard awesome things about this place, and it was super convenient for me to visit since I work right down the street at Merchandice Mart. I was greeted by the beautiful receptionist Jazmin who is very knowledgeable about nails.... she then took my coat and offered me a chilled drink. I was introduced to my technician who then showed me polish. Please be prepared ladies... they have almost every popular brand with soooo many color options! I chose OPIs Mod About You Pastel which is an awesome color choice. My pedi was AMAZING.... there were even fresh rose petals added to my water. He massage was amazing also. My techs name was Merrim. She was very pleasant. I would totally recommend this place. Ohhh.... And the salon smells like coconuts lol.
Im sorry but originally I posted a 5 star review but my opinions have now changed permanently. Two months ago I was encouraged to try Ersi for nail art ONLY. She did a great job but I was charged $10 for each nail so I paid tipped generously and did this twice a month receiving many compliments. Regrettably I wasnt treated well three weeks ago when I booked a full acrylic refill and chrome. Ersi was 30 minutes late, I was never offered any drink like the other guests here and when I was actually waiting outside before the nail salon was even open one of the receptionists who works there gave me an unwelcoming stare. Ersi was hurried and sloppy. I told her not to go too fast and just skip the art design if that was necessary because I had to check out of my hotel early. Ersi hurried and her machine really hurt my nailbed but instead of apologizing she shrugged and said sometimes that happens. I paid and tipped her but she didnt successfully execute a genuine stiletto shape so I was disappointed and when I tried to make an appointment with her again just for nail art I was told only Natalia was free so 5 days later my chrome powder came off easily so Natalia fixed the mess that Ersi did for being so rushed then only charged me $5 for her nail art. I had been scheduled for another session with Ersi but the receptionist never put it the system correctly so when I was anxious to rebook all future appointments with Natalia the receptionist last week stated she only works with gel not acrylic so I agreed to the gel and she said they would have to do a full soak off but if my nails were too weak then no gel ! Halloween is coming why would I want my nails to be drastically shortened and without gel or acrylic overlays? I wasnt made to feel like a valued guest here. Once again Im in search of a new nail salon and I am not in alignment with the way Ive been treated here so even though I did love the nail art the receptionist here told me I have to stick with one nail technician and work with that person from start to finish so even though Im deeply unhappy with Ersi as a technician based on her sloppy work three weeks ago Im being punished! Im done with the drama. A reputable spa should have consistency but since their computer system kicked me off and their nail technician is so moody this is just too much drama and Im not okay with their callous treatment of me nor should you. It seems they cater to large bridal parties and spa parties so small clients like me arent their priority.
I love this place. This is the ONLY place in Chicago where you can get a good dip. Every other place is literally trash! Do to ReLuxe, ask for Caitlyn and get ready for the best dip manicure in town. I used to go every other week, stopped over the summer because I was lazy so I tried another place in Lakeview and it was the worst mistake. I will never not go to Re-Luxe and nobody else will ever do my dip but Caitlyn!!! This manicure will last three weeks if you dont mind the new growth. Also, $50 might seem like a lot but the treatment that she puts on my nails has made them grow strong and fast. If you made it this far, you are clearly interested so go book an appointment ASAP because she fills up!
Real european glamour and style
I am addicted to Natalia, she is the biggest gem of the salon. Her technique is great and she definitely does the best French manicure in River North; I am very glad I found her.
Awesome service! Great atmosphere!
I stumbled upon this salon in January. It looked beautiful from the outside and decided to give it a try. The main reason is that they allow dogs, I hate leaving my puppy at home and I jump on any chance I get to take him along. I called in and got an appointment to do acrylic nails and a pedicure. The technician took 5 hours to complete the job. I was super restless by the end of it and my nails broke within a matter of days. I was furious!!!However, I refused to give up on this salon, this time I went in and got a pedicure from Natalie and Caitlyn repaired my acrylic. Since that day I have made a conscious effort to recommend this salon to everyone. They have become my extended family. Everyone knows my dog Gus, all the girls know me. The reception Jasmine, is the most adorable and kindest girl.I’m not going to say that I have never got cut during a manicure or pedicure at this salon. Honestly this has happened in many salons and it’s a genuine accident, no one purposely cuts you. They treated it so well by making sure my bleeding stopped immediately. Now, I go in every 2 weeks and get a classic pedicure and dip nails. I love that this salon actually focus on relaxing and it’s not one of those super quick salons. They do have their express mani/pedi and trust me it’s Express. They recently started a jelly soak for your feet, It’s pretty cool and my feet was so clean and soft, a week later and it’s still clean and soft.Price wise: they are on the high end in comparison to their competitors but it’s worth every dollar.Their loyalty program is also extreamly cool. After a certain number of visits you get 50% off your service. You and your friend get discounts for referring and you even get a birthday discount.I love this place and so does Gus and I would highly recommend it to those who enjoy a good Nail service. To those who have been here and had a bad experience, I would urge you to give this place another try, give them to oppertunity to learn from their mistakes.
I went into the salon to get a mani/pedi. After holding up a few bottles of polish to pick a color, I picked one up that did not have the cap twisted on. The bottle fell out, hit the ground where glass shards from the bottle got in my shoe, nail polish splashed up onto my pants and shoes as well. What I could not believe was that after this happened the manager did not offer to pay to launder my pants, did not offer to comp the service cost nor did they provide any other complimentary or standard amenities (drinks, massage, etc.).While the technician attempted to right the situation sadly this was horrible customer service. Any place where the manager tells the customer it was an accident and is not their responsibility to fix my clothes or comp the service during the middle of a workday when they arent busy is a place I will never return to and I hope those who read these make an informed decision about whether to go there as well.As for the mani and pedi, it was simple, lackluster and without anything special. Which is disappointing, because given all the effort they put in to make the ambience nice, youd think theyd put the same into their service. Then again, maybe when too much effort is put into showing off a pretty salon that might be a good indicator to keep on walking past.
Did a PHENOMENAL job on my wifes hands and feet
Beautiful salon with great atmosphere
My favorite salon in downtown Chicago 😍💅🏼
Terrible customer service - they wont help you if there is a problem. Youll need to keep your fingers crossed that the tech who does your nails can actually perform the service for which you asked.
My wife loves this place.
Lack of attention to detail and poor customer service
One star is lowest rating. Horrible customer service. Its not a place I would ever going again!
