This is probably one of the better experiences Ive had at a salon in terms of customer service. I had Rachel as a tech and she was quite nice. However a couple of things they can improve on:1. Displaying price. I would not have gotten my nails done had I known it was going to be $70 for a simple set of acrylic nails. In my opinion this was far overpriced and in Nebraska, for the same set I pay $40 plus tip.2. My nails came out uneven on the polish and I didnt want to be a karen but the other gentleman could tell I wasnt happy with the polish. He brought me back inside and thanked me for giving them another opportunity and assured me they wanted to make sure all of their guests were happy. There was no rude look, or any attitude which was excellent. Its obvious they value their guests and take pride in their work.Overall this was a good experience the store was clean, the people were friendly, if I come back to Chicago I would go back here, however Im not sure that I would go back to Rachel. I left about 10 minutes ago and Im noticing some unevenness in terms of the shapes and length of the nails yet...dont get me wrong she was very friendly and nice, but could use just a bit more practice.

When I arrived I was immediately taken straight to the chair for my pedicure and didn’t have to wait around for anyone to service me. Nails and toes came out exactly how I wanted. Only thing is that there are a few gaps when the polish isn’t fully filled in.Overall my service wasn’t rushed and Kim made sure to take her time when doing my toes and nails. Thanks :)

My nails are top-notch. Hannah was excellent at serving my needs and she was fast and efficient. The vibe really wasn’t friendly, weird. One of the ladies kept cussing bout customers when others were right in front of her… Plus if you like long nail, this definitely ain’t the right salon to go to. Period

Amazing salon! They took me in early and immediately and I was able to fit on a full set and a no chip pedicure in less than 2 hours! Not only was it fast, I got exactly what I wanted and they made sure they were perfect. Would recommend to anyone and I will definitely be back!

Kim did an good job on my nails and everyone was really nice!!EDIT:As soon as I came home I realized a couple I didn’t like about my nails. There is a bunch of circle indentions over my nails from the gel top coat. Most of my nails have an uneven top coat.It was also super hard to communicate with my nail tech because she spoke little to no English. Whenever she needed me to clarifying something, someone else would have to come over and translate. When the man wasn’t there to translate she just did whatever she wanted instead of me correcting her because of the language barrier.The price was extremely higher than I originally anticipated due to the lack of displaying price. I’m traveling and my nail tech back home would price around $45-$70 including tip and I paid $100 including tip for these nails. I checked their website for prices and they are different then what they told me verbally in store and what I paid for.My nail also did not do any cuticle care so she painted my nails on top of my cuticles.And finally the man that greeted me said “more professional and better quality means more expensive price”. It was definitely more expensive but definitely not better quality or more professional. These are supposed to be for my 21st birthday tomorrow and I already want to get them redone.That being said I do like my nails (they’re okay) even thought there’s a bunch of imperfections. Will I be going back there? No. Will I recommend this place? Probably not. Despite all of that they were very nice and kind while I was getting my nails done.

I’ve been going to Jenny for years. I always love the colors we choose, and the services have always been friendly and superfast.I once booked manis for 3ppl (dip for one, French mani for another, and a gel for one more) and we were all in and out together within 1.5hours. I didn’t take pictures then so you’ll have to settle for these summer ones with the stickers

What a pleasant experience! I have been many times. Not only do they do a wonderful job but they are so friendly. They have two shops and both have they same wonderful customer service. They are busy because of this but will always try and get you in quickly. I highly recommend them!

I always have a wonderful experience every time I visit. During my visits they disinfected every chair after each client, and that really made me feel more comfortable than ever to continue to visit them during our current “situation”.I always use Lin, but ALL of the ladies do an outstanding job with their clients.I would definitely recommend them if you are in need of any of their services. Fast and efficient. I like natural feeling/looking dip nails and they did great! They do rush you. Barely got to choose my color, she just flashed the options at me while removing my old dip. Also, they do gel as the top layer, which was new to me. Overall, would return for price and experience.

I got an acrylic full set done August 12th for a photoshoot. Not even three days later did the first nail come off... no cracks in my real nail or really any damage - it came off smoothly. Then by today - the 21st of August - ALL OF THEM WERE GONE. On BOTH hands. I don’t get my nails done with acrylic often - but this is UNACCEPTABLE. There is no way that if my nails were done properly (a stylist I know thinks they didn’t dehydrate my nails) that there is NO damage to my natural nails. I paid 80 dollars for the nails and over 160 in total plus tip. I’m never going back here. I don’t recommend whatsoever.

Very clean establishment, the workers speaks very quietly among themselves. Rachel work is very well done, shes very gentle with you. First time going i will definitely return. This is the cat-eye polish she did. 👍👍👍🍸

Please be careful if you decide to come to this place. I came here hoping to get a pedicure since it was close by and left with a FUNGAL INFECTION. I noticed that the salon wasnt very clean. The towels looked dirty and the tools/nail buffers looked used. I stayed since I had a flight to catch. Shortly after, my toes looked odd. My big toenails werent growing, then when I removed the polish, I had white streaks and noticed there was an abscess and blood. My doctor had to remove both of my big toe nails since they became unattached, which was very painful. I had to miss work because the pain was so bad. Unfortunately, it is very hard to get rid of a fungal infection of the toes and treatment is a long process. I talked to the owner, hoping to at least get a refund, and he asked me to come into the store. When I came in he was very rude and immediately denied that it was from his salon. He said I waited too long to notify them and that I would not receive a refund in front of the whole salon while customers were there. I was told it could have been my hygiene, my shoes being too tight, and then he even said he did not believe me. My doctor agreed it was likely that this came from the nail salon. Despite not believing that they gave me the fungal infection, they offered to give me fungal treatment. This is extremely disturbing. Anyone who gets a fungal infection should go to a doctor, not a nail salon to get treated. Obviously, this is not the first time if they are offering treatment. It is common to get a fungal infection from nail salons, especially when they are not following state guidelines. I notified them that I would leave a Yelp review and he said I was ruining his business if I went to Yelp. He even tried to guilt trip me by saying I would have to answer to God. I have no problem with writing a negative review because if they cannot properly sterilize their tools and properly handle their wrongdoings, they do not deserve a business. On top of me dealing with this fungal infection and going back and forth to a doctor, I had to deal with horrendous service. I want to make sure no one else has this nightmare of an experience. Please do not do business with this salon and if you chose to get your nails done elsewhere, make sure the salon you go to opens clean tools in front of you and that you ask if all items are sterilized with an autoclave.

Linn is THE BEST!!! Love her and she does a great job! John, the manager, is super nice. He is constantly cleaning and sanitizing, they use new liners and new pedicure kits for every customer so it feels very safe! Highly recommend!!

My manicure was 7 minutes from start to finish, no joke. The polish was streaky and uneven with particles in it and my nails were rough where they were filed. When I asked her to fix it she was obviously annoyed and made a loud comment(not in English). She simply added another top coat which did not fix the problem. I overheard the customer in the pedicure chair next to me complaining about her service as well with no remedy so I guess this is the norm for this business. Find another salon where the job is well done and you are treated with respect is my recommendation.

They were nice. Always try to upsell you. And they were a little rude. But they did a nice job.

I needed to get my nails done for a modeling conference and I was short on time. I was able to get a no chip manicure and pedicure from Kim in under an HOUR and it was literally perfection. What a life saver. She was also super professional and kind. The owner is super nice also.

I went in to get my nails fixed and I spent more time waiting than the lady did on my nails. I asked her to fix the jewels on my nail and she handed me the tool to do it myself. When she was done, there was nail polish smudged on my hands and when I asked her to get it off, she said it would come off on its own later. She put oil all over my hands and when she asked me to pay, I asked her if I could wash the oil off so it wouldn’t get all over my purse and she told me that I could wash my hands after I paid?? Definitely would not recommend this business to anyone wanting quality work and decent customer service.

I get my nails done very regularly and went into the salon with a really open mind and a picture. I had to take myself and my sister to a wedding the next day and made clear to them that I needed help I wanted to add a design on my nails and I wanted to get her a manicure.The lady started taking off my powder dip manicure I had gotten the day before without telling me the price or what she was doing.The lady did not speak English and did not understand what I was saying and when I try to explain her the staff started yelling at each other and then yelling at me and trying to force me to pay $50 to add a design on top of my nails.When I asked why I would pay $50 for a design one off full acrylic set is $55 she angrily yelled at me it’s 50 not 15. I told her I already paid $80 for my manicure yesterday I’m not gonna pay 50 more dollars just for you to add a French tip.I talked to a couple other people and they said the same thing happens to them employees yell at them and whatever picture they bring in is completely not what they get.The man asked me to pay him Zelle or quick pay instead of a card, and every employee kept walking by trying to tell me how wonderful the manicure was turning out. The manicure looked lumpy and uneven and when I asked for a nice clean coffin shape it ended up looking like duck feet. I get my nails done a lot and I have also done them myself I understand the technical expertise involved and that it is not easy. However I expected a lot better from a “professional” nail artist.Not only did she do a horrible job with the duck feet finish of my “ coffin nail shape” but she saw the picture of what my sister wanted said she doesn’t have any flower stickers, and then gave her yellow looking nails with a horrible lumpy similarly horrible finish.To say I was disappointed is a huge understatement. They were yelling the whole time they were very disrespectful to me and multiple other customers within the store I was observing had the same experience.If anybody has some recommendations to a salon that will deliver some consistent quality and a nice finish and will not have such a unprofessional atmosphere I would sincerely appreciate it.

Fashion nails located at 33 e Lake st is top tier! I came in for a full set and they were beautiful! However, when i left, the polish on 3 nails got messed up. I called the business and the owner John was very polite and told me to come in so they could fix it. It took me a week to make time to go to the salon, but they still fixed them for me! Kim was the technician who took care of me, and instead of only fixing those 3 nails, she cleaned my nails up and applied fresh polish to them all. She was very attentive to detail and made sure my nails were perfect, clean, and classy. Technicians are professional and management is very caring to their customers. Love this nail salon!

I have been going to Fashion Nails for many years and I have followed my nail Tech Jenny from Fashion Nails on Adams to this Fashion Nails on Lake Street. My husband and I both come here and we have become like family. This is the cleanest nail salon I have every been in. John the manager is consistently cleaning thoroughly, even before COVID. All the ladies here are so nice and professional and very friendly. I love my Jenny, she has always done a great job on my nails and eyebrows. John makes sure that everyone is comfortable and protected. Definitely one of the best.
