After two and a half years looking for the perfect apartment, Tara, found it for me!I needed a large enough bedroom where my king size bed wouldnt take up the entire room, a designated parking spot and would allow pets. What she found me was a 2 bedroom with a huge primary bedroom and a garage. Best part is its only a 10 min drive to work!!Tara was so sweet and kind. Listened to all of my desires and never made me feel pressured to sign a lease.

Im so happy I found Urban Abodes. Through every step of the process they were kind, courteous, and helpful. This was my first time looking for an apartment and they helped me understand all of the nuances of the process so that I could make informed decisions.I did several tours over two days with Natalie. I told her that I was visiting from out of town to tour apartments, and she took the initiative to set up multiple showings for me based on my criteria and the units I was interested in so that I could see as much as possible. This was incredibly helpful, because the unit I fell in love with and ended up getting wasnt even on my radar at first!I also worked with Michael in the office. We started looking a couple months before our move date which we understood was a little early but Cheryl was not concerned at all. We went to one showing with her and told her our move date as well as our necessities and wants for our future place and she was attentive and responsive to everything we said. She found us the perfect place after that and we were confident the second we walked in. It really showed how much Cheryl cares about her clients finding a home that they love and are excited about. She would jump over any barrier if it meant helping us and that made me feel at ease through out the entire process.

We ended up going forward with one of the units we saw and completed all the paperwork within one day. Everything could be completed online with Zelle as a payment option. UPDATE: Urban Abodes is a joke of a management/real estate company. From the processing team with attitudes belonging to that of top earning businessmen in New York and the awful customer service to match (Darien and Melissa, Im looking at you) all the way to the reason millennials have an immature self-obsessed, horrible reputation - Rebecca Bush herself (here forth known as Becky Bush).When I mentioned resistance on Becky Bushs behalf, her response was hahahaha via text, followed by every accomplishment she feels she ever has had in life - Im assuming she wanted a trophy? - which all happened to be her JOB as a real estate agent. I walked to the property for you. I gave you a video tour. I did model walks and used high angles so you could see my cheek bones because I really need someone to think Im attractive besides me.Soon, we needed a cosigner. And then another one. And they ate all of our app fees and immediately denied us. And MAY I say, if I do say one thing positive - they can process applications and pull credit in 5 seconds or less and deny you. AND AND AND - it doesnt even show up on your credit. OR WAIT. They didnt bother to run it at all and kept $215 of our money.Any time we tried to call and inquire about ANYTHING we were met by yeah. ok. uh huh. and then HANGING UP without even ending the conversation. As much as I adored their riveting monotone voices and lack of knowledge on how to begin, end, or have a phone conversation - or basic human decency, I think I would NOT WASTE YOUR TIME on these SLEEZY SCUMBAGS and EXCUSES for human beings. :)Have a good one!

Incredibly helpful! I am new to the Chicago area from Colorado, so apartment hunting was more difficult than normal. Brooke and Shane were incredibly helpful in finding options for me, as well as making me feel super comfortable and reassured in the application process. Being that I am unable to see the unit in person moving from out of state, having confidence in the service I used was vital. They made everything incredibly seamless. Couldnt recommend more.

I found my apartment through Urban Abodes a couple of weeks ago and had a surprisingly pleasant experience. The moving process can be quite a headache but working with Urban Abodes definitely made it all a bit easier. Our leasing agent, Natalie, was very responsive and straightforward with us throughout. She was able to answer all of our questions about two apartment units that we saw, and communication afterwards as we were deciding between the two was prompt and efficient. Urban Abodes also seems to have properties from smaller landlords which arent always listed on all of the apartment searching sites.We had two options to pay our first months rent and move-in fees either through Zelle or by dropping off a check at their office. Unfortunately we didnt already have a Zelle account, so we had to drop off a check. I wish there was another option for payment such as Venmo, Paypal, or another type of secure online system; however, stopping by the office was fairly efficient and we were able to get our application processed right away. The staff were friendly there as well.Overall, would definitely recommend working with them for an apartment search!

I was looking to see an apartment. The company tries to pre-screen prospective tenants to decide whether or not to show them units. I understand that I need to qualify to rent an apartment, but is unethical to require applicants to meet the renting criteria to see apartments. While I meet the qualifications, I was offended by the leasing agent asking me for my monthly income and credit score as prerequisite to show me an apartment. As a leasing agent, sometimes you waste your time showing units to applicants that may not qualify. That the chance they take. But pre-screening applicants to view apartments is wrong.

The process was fairly quick and simple with Urban Abodes. I requested a showing on the same day and they were able to accommodate. When I applied for the apartment, they had straightforward steps for me to complete. The one recommendation I would have would be for the real estate agents to know more about the units before they show them to clients. My agent did not know much about the building and I had to lead the conversation and ask questions rather than the other way around.

I had a mostly positive experience working with Urban Abodes. My apartment search was a bit expedited and I had stringent time demands for move-in, so I was impressed with UA for accommodating this. However, this seemed to be accompanied by pressure from the agent I worked with to sign and complete forms and payment before, in my opinion, all information was acquired. Throughout the process, I also received varying info from UA compared to what I heard directly from the landlord I signed with. In the end, I would recommend attempting to work directly with the landlord or making sure you are put in direct contact with them before sending any payments or signed forms to UA. This way, you can verify all information to be correct with the landlord. All in all, I felt UA was mostly operating with integrity but I had to be careful and patient to review everything before signing.

I worked with Mark Cresswell and he went around the city to multiple apartments to show me apartments over facetime and do virtual tours because I am moving from out of state. Mark was so nice and patient, he answered all of my questions, and made sure to only show me apartments in my budget, in neighborhoods I liked and with short commutes to my new job, and apartments that he knew were available immediately as I was on a short time frame to move. Mark was a huge help to me and Urban Abodes as a whole seem to have great resources and great employees.

Dan Picone helped us find the perfect place in the neighborhood we wanted. We originally reached out from a Zillow post about another listing, but when we decided it wasnt for us, Dan provided us with a dozen other options that fit our criteria.Dan assisted my sister with two tours, since were shopping from out of town. The Urban Abodes moved quickly and efficiently to get us through the application and signing process with professionalism. They were transparent & helpful.

After I submitted my renting request for the apartment I chose, the company and her made sure to follow up with me on any developments or things needed. I began working with Urban Abodes after looking for apartments and finding one I liked. They were in charge of the application process, writing the lease, and connecting me to my new landlord. From start to finish they were very professional and responsive. Soon after seeing the place, I got an email from them with detailed instructions about how to apply. After applying, they let me know they would get back to me about the status of my application the next day, which they followed through on. After I noticed an initial error in the lease, they were responsive and quickly fixed it. AMAZING. Our agent Naji was extremely kind and helpful from the very start. We had some difficultly getting into the apartment at first because it was under renovation, but Naji worked quickly and diligently to make sure we saw the unit in a timely manner. Then, once we decided the apartment was the one for us, Naji and the rest of the people we talked to at Urban Abodes helped us fill out the application and sign the lease within 24 hours of viewing!

Told us to apply for apartment (June 1st) knowing we would get rejected because they already had an application for a lease starting for May 1st. Charged us $210 to apply and made us put down $3300 to apply. Avoid them and work with someone else, someone with morals.

I always dread looking for a new apartment but once I found the Urban Abodes website, I was able to take it all in stride. Their site is very well-organized, gives all the details you could want, often has videos as well as many pictures (very important to me when apartment hunting), and makes the process much simpler.Once I reached out about a unit I liked, the reply was very quick and thorough. I sincerely felt that they had my back through the whole process. Their agent, Tim, was definitely my ally and very patient with my particular likes / dislikes. I contacted Urban Abodes to rent a unit that I really liked. The process was super smooth and the people are very friendly and responsive. They were very accommodating regarding move in dates and always provided prompt responses for any queries. The entire application process as well as payment was online, so that was really convenient. I first found the phone number for Urban Abodes attached to an apartments.com listing, so I didnt realize that I was calling a leasing agency when I first contacted them. I was a little confused when Natalie was so eager to talk to me not only about the apartment I had called about but also others in area. This was my first experience with a leasing agency and Ill never go back to doing it on my own again. Nothing beats free!

There were a couple of texting conversations that I felt werent communicated properly or with enough detail, in which I had to reach out to dig for information. Other than that I really liked her energy! She went through and opened up blinds and curtains, as well as turned on lights because she knew I liked natural light. Very cool group of people.
