The front desk, maintenance crew, painters, and overall staff do an amazing job in keeping the grounds and building clean. After every work order request, services are provided immediately and efficiently. Thanks Shoreland staff for all you do to make living here a pleasant experience!

I have lived at Shoreland 5 months now and it has been a great experience. Truly feels like a luxury building with professional staff, great amenities, and well appointed units. I feel very safe here with there being 24 hour door staff and multiple checkpoints where you have to scan your key. In addition to that I rarely have a problem finding free street parking right outside the building.

Lived there for 2 years. Monthly rent increases based off the lights the building is running because the electric bill is divided among the tenants which isnt fair. The front desk Staff is friendly. The maintenance Crew at shorelands are NOT reliable and they have been known to steal from the apartments. Also Dont trust them during moving out process on the Maintenance crew be self reliable if you leave things and dont clean properly they will be bill you $300+The building is great to live if you have rich mommy and daddy. But if you work hard and pay your own bills then its definitely not worth the price. WILL NOT BE LIVING HERE AGAIN

I have been living at Shoreland for about 3 years and I love the building and the staff who are managing it. The maintenance is great and quick. I believe James is the head of the maintenance and knows how to take care of things quick and clean. I cant ask for a better landlords team!! Very Well Performed!!

Very nice building! Staff is absolutely lovely: Jaclyn and Mia have been very kind and are always super helpful. Alyssa with management has also been fantastic. I felt very welcomed when I moved in!

I have lived at Shoreland Apartments now 6 years. I have enjoyed each one of those 6 years . The staff does a great job . Thank you to Jasmine Perkins for making my transfer to a new unit painless great job. Thank you Mia (front desk) for all your help your are one in an million. Keep up the great work Shoreland crew youre the best.

The quality of living here really depends on your neighbor. I wish I don’t have to write this review when I was waken up by my next door’s loud music at 3:20 am! The management couldn’t do much as usual and expected. I regret to pay nearly 2k per month to live here.

Ive lived at the Shoreland apartments in Hyde Park for about 7 months, and as a new tenant there are always adjustments to be made. Ive had the pleasure of having 2 of their maintenance staff, James and Steve take care of my issues. You make the service call and within 24 to 48 hours its fixed. My washer kept making loud noises and they kept on it until the problem was solved. I love my apartment here at the Shoreland. They have the friendliest onsite staff.

This is SAD REVIEW regarding MAC Properties within Shoreline Apartments. MAC properties is terrible. They have bed bugs crawling out of the walls, roaches that live in your sink, and shoddy renovations that my husband and I could have constructed better.We are very clean people and were appalled by the state of the apartment AFTER signing the lease. Its a facade, thats all. Classic bait and switch.PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT rent from these people EVER!!!!

I moved out on the 22nd of October 2016. Still waiting for MAC properties to return my deposit. I made at least 11 phone calls to resident success. It was always a standard answer, your check is being processed. How long does it take a check to be processed by MAC properties? 2 months ? Awful customer service.

Was told Friday by a woman at the desk of the 53rd St office that I could move in early (2 days before my initial move in date) and would be sent new lease papers to sign the next day. Called the next day and spoke to a guy named Dustin who said Oops you were given wrong information. I ended up having to scramble to find a place because the hostel that I was in was booked. So literally for a few hours I didnt even know where I was gonna sleep that night. I ended up way at a motel by OHare airport that takes an hour for me to get to work. I had also got the lights and gas on as well as had scheduled an appointment for the internet guy to come. I called and talked to management about it a few days later and he basically said oops as well. No type of compensation or anything. Im locked into a 1 year contract with them already but best believe after my year I will not do business with MAC Properties again and I will share all over the land how they treat people.

The maintenance service is bad considering how much rent ($2000+) they ask for. They force you to sign up wifi service from a company no one has heard before, which breaks down frequently and easily. The WiFi company has terrible customer service, and will ask you to stay home on a weekday for a whole day waiting for tech support when your internet is broken. Whenever there’s need to call tech or maintenance support your life will be completely disrupted. Our AC broke in summer and we went without AC for literally 4 days in 80 degree weather. We had to call MAC every single day, and yet calling seems to have no effect whatsoever. Some of the staff in the office answering phones can be quite rude. When we have a problem and call in to complain, if we’re not extra courteous—which is very hard when you have a problem that the residential service fails to fix for days—she would take offense and gets passive aggressive, acting as if you’re the one who’s at fault.
