I moved into The Kent last month and I absolutely love it! The staff are attentive and super helpful - Reggie the doorman, Taylor the property manger, and Amy the leasing agent are all great. The maintenance staff is also great, and they keep the building so clean. I love that there is free coffee in the lobby. The gym is brand new and has every machine you need and tons of free weights. I love the outdoor grill space and the dog run makes the building very pet friendly. I can see myself living here for a long time!

This is such a great place to live. The renovated units with in unit W/D are just so great. The Gym is really top notch (saves me on my monthly Gym subscription!) New management is excellent, especially the manager Taylor, really pleasant, attentive to all resident needs taking care of work orders etc.. in a quick and efficient manner. Would absolutely recommend the Kent to anyone looking to live in this amazing location.

We just moved from Miami to Chicago and ended up renting at the Kent on Clark St. It turned out to be the perfect decision. We have been in the Kent since last October. From prior to signing the lease through today it has been the greatest experience. More than we could have hoped for. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The building is immaculate as is our unit. The location is probably one of the best in the City. Everything we need is within a short walk. In the building there is a great gym, a huge bicycle room, indoor parking, a beautiful lobby with free coffee all the time, a terrific package room and a great concierge. Moving in was seamless and easy. There is a combined washer/dryer in our unit, but there is also a great laundry room with large washers and dryers. The handyman is a brilliant worker. He takes care of anything you might need him for immediately and skillfully. Thank you to the Kent staff. You have made our move to Chicago a wonderful experience. Wayne and Debbie.

The new management is super professional and helpful! They take care of stuff right away. Maintenance team is responsive. Concierge is nice and very helpful.This building has everything, it’s super dog friendly, nice updated gym and cute patio.

I love this building. It’s close to all the essentials (train, grocery, bank, gym) and the people are friendly. Taylor and Amy made my move in easy and have always been available for my questions or concerns. I don’t think I’ll be leaving for a while.

Updated apartment with washer/dryer, which is really nice to have. Gym is modern and clean, and bike storage is great, especially for weekend rides on the lake. Oh, and thank goodness for onsite parking! Responsive management for sure.

Never before had finding a new rental apartment been such a breeze! Working with Bill P in the leasing department was a great experience all around - responsive to my endless questions, flexible when it came to giving a private tour of the property/unit, and professional in all our interactions. Bill was also able to include some great deals on the new lease that are certainly appreciated!If you are looking for a new rental apartment in Chicago I highly recommend working with Bill P at the Kent.

My fiancée and I lived at The Kent for 2 years and recently moved out in July 2020. Our experience at first was positive: 2 months free, great location, nice gym, and new appliances. However, when our lease came up for renewal in the spring of 2020, we were very disappointed with our experience working with management and ultimately decided to not renew our lease. Given the uncertainty around COVID-19 in spring 2020, we were carefully evaluating our options. Management’s offer in order for us to renew was to raise rent, which we thought was rapacious given the economic environment (record levels of unemployment, many people moving back in with their parents, etc.). We made a reasonable counter-offer but management was ultimately set on raising the rent and unwilling to work with us. It was frustrating to not feel supported during a scary and uncertain time and it became clear The Kent’s number one priority is monetary. This was on top of several other issues/red flags we observed during our time living there such as poor communication and unfriendly encounters with management when we had maintenance requests.It is now September 2020 and we checked The Kent website and our unit is still available (offered at a MUCH reduced price to what we would have been required to pay in order to stay).Bottom line: the amenities and initial offer are enticing to move in, however be aware that management is ultimately looking out for their own financial gain and will try to raise rent (even during a pandemic). You can find equal or better quality living in the area at a more affordable price with better management.

I just signed my lease here and had a positive experience with in the process. The leasing office and realtor are very responsive and were able to answer all my questions regarding prices and unit options. I highly recommend!

Incredibly disappointed in the service I received. The building representation lacks professionalism and cannot be trusted. I spent a few days viewing an apartment, learning about the amenities, and speaking to a realty rep. At one point the representative contradicted the pet policy on the website quoting a higher pet deposit and a monthly fee— (the website had a one time less expensive fee) after pointing this out he explained they would honor the cheaper fee listed on the website. I then went on to fill out an application and wanted to make sure the pet deposit was corrected to what the representative and I spoke about. I was then told by the property manager that they could not change that in the lease. To make matters worse, the next day the representative texted me saying “I got him in trouble” and that he could no longer honor the texts that he had sent me prior. What a mess. In my opinion it’s bad business to go back on a statement and even worse business to contact a renter complaining that you were reprimanded for false promises... would not recommend renting from a property that behaves this way and certainly wouldn’t trust any deals they throw in to get you to fill out their application.

I actually toured this place earlier in the week. The people in the office were very helpful and nice. Im relocating to the Chicago and had lots of questions. They were able to answer everything and made me feel at home. I look forward to moving in and starting my new life chapter at The Kent!

Ive lived here a year, and can say Ill definitely be renewing my lease. Perfect location, great gym, free coffee, and amazing new renovation apartments. Maintenance requests go through day of submitting, so never have to worry about a thing!

Incredible renovations. They are doing an amazing job transforming the building. Great customer service, friendly staff, and things actually get done. I would recommend this building. Check it out for yourself. I have a nice one bedroom with a washer and dryer in my apartment.

Had major issues with the management. Great location. Stylish ideas for apartments and building, not carried out the best. Were promised amenities not delivered. Felt swindled. Expect daily deafeningly loud construction noises during their renovations. Liked that they had a room with virtual fitness classes. This building has so much potential but was ultimately disappointing in important ways.
