I am going on a year living at OTP and could not be more pleased with my experience. I moved in the heart of winter and during COVID as well. The leasing office and team were and always have been well organized, quick to answer, and had a good attitude about them. I love the front desk staff as they are always welcoming, professional, and will help with my packages/ guests coming into the building. The building itself is one of the BEST in Chicago, in my opinion. It is always well kept up, thoroughly cleaned, safe, and has the highest quality ammendies. (The gym is awesome with a sauna and steam room being a huge bonus! I also must say I have not had any problems with my apartment and the walls are well insulated (coming from an apartment before where I could hear everything). I just resigned my lease for another 15 months and could not be happier! It is in a great location, very safe, clean, NEW, and a great staff.
The leasing office, specifically Jessica, was so helpful and accommodating throughout the application process. She was very responsive and provided more than enough information to help us make this important decision. The building and facilities are gorgeous and we cannot wait to move in! If you are interested at all in moving here, be sure to request Jessica - she will get the job done and answer any questions you may have!
I have been living in Old Town Park One for almost two years and have nothing but good things to say about the building, management & staff. Commons areas are always well kept, and maintenance is consistently cleaning/sanitizing the amenity floor - especially through the pandemic. The front desk concierge is very welcoming every time I walk in, eager to help in any way possible. Most notably, John Zivkovic has been one of the most accommodating property managers Ive ever dealt with, always seeking genuine feedback as to how he can continue to provide top of the line living in the heart of Chicagos Old Town neighborhood.
I have lived in Old Town Park One for about 2.5 years and have really enjoyed the experience. The only reason we left is because of a job relocation or we would still be there! From the front desk to maintenance, everyone that works in this building is so friendly and ready to help with anything. Most notably, John Z the property manager has really made our time at OTP so enjoyable; he is extremely attentive, friendly, and accommodating - and one of our shy dog’s favorite people. The amenities are always well kept, clean, and accessible through reservations even throughout social isolation. Perfect location, friendly management, clean building, amazing amenities, super dog-friendly - highly recommend!
Danielle in the leasing office was incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable during my tours. She took extra time with us and was available to discuss details other buildings could not. She made house hunting a positive experience!
Thanks to Eric Williams for such a great experience bringing my client to Old Town Park Two! I really appreciate your professionalism, timely assistance and the remote tour was so helpful! It was a quick move, and Eric made it happen for us! My client is very happy with his new home!
I have absolutely loved living at Old Town Park in Tower 1. The building is so beautiful and maintained perfectly throughout every season. Since I live alone, safety is a main priority for me. I have always felt secure and safe while living in this building. The OMNI team is so kind and accommodating. They have gone above and beyond to take care of my every need, especially Assistant Property Manager John Zivkovic. He has assisted me with lease renewals, special requests and is very responsive and understanding with unforeseen circumstances. I would 100% recommend living at Old Town Park, Chicago!
We lived at OTP for a year and absolutely loved our experience! Front doormen and women were friendly, the amenities were amazing, the pool was never too crowded. Would recommend!
Such an incredible place to live. Door staff are so friendly! The online portal is easy to use and they are very responsive. All neighbors are friendly and courteous. The amenities are to die for - gym fully stocked and big, pool and plenty of grills. Would stay here for the long haul if they were condos. Definitely look into living here.
Had a wonderful time living in Old Town Park 1 over the past year. The front door staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and made the building feel like home. The building itself couldnt be in a better location and the units and amenities are incredible! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch apartment experience in Chicago
Management team is very unprofessional. Maintenance issues are not addressed in a timely manner. Woke up to no air conditioning and apparently no fix in the near future. It’s warming up to 80 degrees in our apartments. If you’re thinking about renting from Onni, you should think twice.RUDE INEXPERIENCED MANAGEMENT!!!
Great views, location, and amenities! I had a great experience living at Old Town Park! The concierge team was always smiling and made me feel at home, went above and beyond to help with any request. The gym, pool, and deck were all amazing, even during Covid. A lot of really cute dogs in the building is also a huge plus! My only complaint would be that sometimes the management office would be unresponsive to emails. I am sure they are currently working on this.
We have been tenants since the building opened. Management, maintenance staff, and front desk - concierge have all been respectful and top notch. John Z is prompt in answering our questions and responding to our needs. The location is also unbeatable - dont let any of the poor Karen-like reviews deter you from giving this building a chance!
I absolutely love living at Old Town Park - Tower One. The front desk staff is incredibly friendly and always make me feel so happy to be home. There are tons of dogs in the building and the new outdoor dog park is my pups favorite place to be. We just resigned our lease because we cant imagine living anywhere else in Chicago at this point.
OTP is the best building that I have lived in. Throughout the pandemic, they have maintained guidelines to keep the residents safe. From being responsive and prompt during any situation, I cannot recommend this building more. On top of that, the great location and tons of amenities. The management and lobby team have been wonderful to work with!
Emily gave my family and I a tour of the apartment complex and she has been so helpful throughout the whole process. She was flexible enough to let us tour 2 days to help us in the decision making process and she has been available by email or phone for whatever questions we have had.
Of all the apartments we toured, this leasing team was the only one to not return a follow-up email despite Eric from Tower 3 saying he would immediately after the tour. He spent the majority of 45 minutes showing off the new Tower 3 which was $1k over our desired budget (which was discussed over email prior). This was also the only place where our car ended up getting towed for parking at a private lot—although the private lot had several signs pointing to the leasing office for Old Town Park. We owned up to it without any bitterness (despite feeling that we were misguided by the signs) and yet Eric was still completely unsympathetic, if not rude and arrogant, and it took us 4 hours to get in touch with him just to ask about the towing.Complete waste of time and money.
I had a wonderful experience at Old Town Park! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The amenities and finishes are top notch. Also, a great place if you have a pup! The building is very dog friendly and has a wonderful dog park on site, as well as a dog run and dog spa.
Great place to live! We lived for 2 years in a 2 bedroom corner unit. Great apt. Hardly any noise. The building was built very well! The amenities are awesome. It was a bit hard during Covid, as we couldn’t use them much for the safety and well being of everyone who lived there, but they are super nice!!The staff is very nice and accommodating.
Eric W from the leasing team made the whole moving process way easier. I could always text and get a response. The pool is amazing (when the sun is out)!
Do yourself a favor, don’t put your money into here when there’s a huge array of other places that have the same amenities, which you can actually use.If you’re convinced otherwise, get use to the lovely indoor “open concept” because they’ll never let you use anything outside of it. Like when it’s 80+ degrees outdoors and you can’t use the deck or pool on building 2. Experience elevated living where you’re more confined to consistent 80 degree air conditioning that never gets fixed.
I’ve lived at Old Town Park TWO for going on 2 years now and I regret renewing. Location is great, but I would not recommend to anyone to move here. Incompetent management makes this building unbearable. While I understand a capacity limit for the pool and rules around guests at the pool, this building goes way too far limiting other amenity use. Having family over to grill outside is forbidden (only one guest allowed at grill stations), what a joke. Not worth the $2,000+ you will pay to live here. I would recommend looking elsewhere up Wells where the premium you’re paying for amenities means something and the management is competent.
Well all I can say for now, Teresa has been such a sweetheart she’s one of the managers there, always helpful, the building is beautiful haven’t explored any of the amenities yet but I plan to.
We have been living in OTP since opening in 2018, and have been extremely pleased with our experience. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and we have been very pleased with our apartment since we moved in and have not had any issues. Fantastic location in Old Town, and an awesome amenity space! Would highly recommend OTP!
I lived in OTP1 for 3 years and absolutely loved my experience and my apartment! Such a great old town location, awesome amenities and loved the building and my time there!
I recently moved in to an apartment in building 1 and the move-in process was an absolute train wreck. The apartment was in extremely poor condition when we arrived and management (Amanda) took hardly any accountability for the mistakes. We actually lived in this building for over two year before, so it was very disappointing to come back to this sort of mismanagement. We never had any issues during our last stay. The apartment appeared to have not been inspected before we arrived, and if it was, it was a very poor inspection – see the list below of the 11 items that were wrong when we arrived. When bringing this up with management, they offered nothing but a poor, robot-like apology and really didnt attempt to take any accountability. Management even tried to blame us for not submitting a proper maintenance request – funny thing about that is that because of another error on their end, we didnt even have access to do so in the app. So instead I emailed management and didnt get a response for 3 days, and I only got that response because I emailed them second time to check in on my original email. Because of this lack of response, we lived in our apartment for the first three days with no heat, and it was very cold outside. On top of that, the property manager went on vacation for a week during all of this and so we basically had no one to communicate with about these things – is there really no one else that fills in?Additionally, I know this building nickel-and-dimes you on your way out based on my last move-out experience. With that said its very hard for me to believe they didnt charge the previous tenants for this list of things – so where did that money go? It should have went in to the repairs but instead no repairs were made and they pocketed the money. This is extremely unethical if you ask me.List of things that were broken when we moved in:- Heat doesn’t work- Dishwasher didn’t work- Kitchen sink leaked when we ran it- Water dispenser didn’t work- Bathroom mirror was shattered on both bottom corners- Shower head was missing the face piece- Shower handle enclosure was coming off the wall and the handle is broken- Bathroom faucet was broken and sprayed water everywhere- Microwave was missing all of the metal enclosure pieces and sitting ridiculously inside of an empty cabinet- Warped floor panels- Dishwasher was missing interior components
From the first tour (which was impromptu/unscheduled) to completing my move-in, Emily Miller exceeded all expectations and transformed a hectic interstate move into one that I enjoyed. Emily, together with the OTP III staff, not only fulfilled every request, but they anticipated my needs/wants and were happy to assist at a moments notice. Truly exceptional professionalism and attention to detail. In a city with an endless amount of residential options, OTP operates in a different league as a result of folks like Emily Miller and the OTP III staff.
A beautiful building ruined by the worst management I’ve ever seen. Management will do anything to save a buck. This includes little to no air conditioning in the common areas (the fitness center is 80 degrees or more every single day) deferring maintenance indefinitely (the spa has been “temporarily closed for maintenance” since I’ve moved in with no reopening in sight) no regular cleaning or maintenance (the hallways, elevators, and exterior are littered in trash, feces, and urine). Last but not least, the walls are paper thin. You’ll hear every word your neighbors say. Every dog that barks. Every 3AM party five floors above you. If you try and make a complaint to the management they’ll simply ignore you. No returned calls, no emails, and work orders that remain pending for weeks before being quietly taken down without addressing the issue. Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere
Im surprised by these reviews...Ive had 0 issues while living here. The few maintenance issues I have had were fixed in less than 24 hours. They are literally constantly cleaning and the building is very clean. The Peloton was messed up and it was fixed by the time I went back a few days later.I barely hear my neighbors and I definitely dont hear the people above me. The doors are a little thin, so thats the only issue I have in that regard.Ive really enjoyed living here! Ive lived in some terrible apartments with actual paper thin walls and terrible management - this is the opposite. For context: I live in tower 1
Old Town Park is a beautiful place with really friendly residents and super caring employees! The front desk and management are always super eager to help in anyway possible, and usually go above and beyond even for the little things like helping me get my package delivery. The location is great with bars and restaurants on Wells street and having Aldi in the building is the best, especially not having to even leave the building on a snowy day. The finishings/design in each apartment and common spaces is so well thought out and ultra luxurious. Not to mention the views. Im convinced we have the best views in the city. Just from my balcony alone, I can see the sunrise over the lake, the Hancock, the Sears tower, people walking on Wells, the train(great when its the holiday train), and the sunset over the west side of the city. The amenities here are 5 star, top-notch amazing! The pool deck is a really fun area to hangout with friends or relax on a more calm day, and I just feel like Im on a vacation whenever I go down there! Thanks OTP for a great experience!
I love my experience living at Old Town Park! Not only do they have the very best amenities, the concierge team goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. I feel extremely safe with their 24/7 front desk and how they keep the building sanitized during COVID with their cleaning crew working around the clock! You cannot beat the views of the city and the community at Old Town Park! Highly recommend!
Love Old Town Park! Ive lived here for almost 2 years and have had the best experience. The location is amazing, units/finishes are well done, and the amenities are incredible! Highly recommend living here.
Ive been living at Old Town Park Phase I since it opened (2.5 years) and just recently renewed my lease for another 14 months. I have only good things to say about the apartments, staff, and overall community. The apartments are beautifully designed with top-end finishes and views. John Z, Carly, and Danielle in the office are all extremely responsive and helpful with any type of request or question. The front desk staff is amazing. I cant stress enough how helpful they are, but their positive attitude everyday really makes a difference for the residents.Overall, if you are looking for the premier Class A rental apartment community in Chicago then Old Town Park/Onni is the right place.
Im a relatively new resident in the second building and can say that the apartments and views are quite nice, however the discourtesy and lack of professionalism exhibited by the management team alone legitimately makes me regret moving here. The concierge staff is very friendly, however the management/leasing staff is shockingly rude and unreasonable. Moving is stressful enough so its unfortunate when a building’s management staff makes the process more painful. If you do decide to move here, be absolutely sure to triple check and confirm all terms of your lease, your move-in dates, elevator reservation times, and the condition of your unit upon move-in because Ive faced issues with all of those things. The management office has been difficult every step of the way. Its unfortunate, but I already know that I will not be renewing my lease. For the price you pay to live here, there are simply better rental options nearby in the city. Also, for those doing virtual tours during COVID, be aware that the appliances are definitely not full sized. Its hard to notice this via video (I certainly did not), but the oven, kitchen, and freezer are all very small. For singles this may be fine, but for any more than one person in the unit its very tight. Lastly, if they offer you a $1,000 moving expense reimbursement, make sure you ask in advance for their very specific details around what is reimbursable so that you dont get stiffed like I was.
Eboni was such a great help through the hole experience made me really feel welcome
Review for tower 2.Building is well managed and the front desk staff is very professional.I was assisted by Danielle from the leasing office. She is very professional and gave me thorough details regarding everything I requested.I am very happy living here and would definitely recommend tower 2 to anyone moving in.
Just moved in. Great experience so far. Pool deck is amazing.
I lived in Old Town park 1 for a little over 2 years! Love this place so much, great space, great views, the shared space is amazing and more importantly the staff and management are helpful, reasonable, and there for you. Thank you so much for all your help John and team!
Old town park is the worst place you could choose to spend your money. They present this amazing building with top of the line amenities which are never open. The indoor spa was “closed for maintenance” all winter/spring. The rooftop looks amazing but you can’t have any guests and security guards are at the door 24/7. They get your money and then use covid as an excuse as to why things aren’t open (despite all of Chicago being open). I would never ever rent from Onni again, they tried to screw us out of rent from day one and continued to screw you out of amenities as much as possible. If you can avoid signing with Onni, I highly would. What is the point of living somewhere like this and not being able to share it with guests and half of the time you can’t even use these ammenities. Waste of money.
I moved here in August and my experience has been nothing but spectacular. I’ve lived in other high-end luxury apartments in Chicago, and visited many more, and nothing has come close to Old Town Park. The area is amazing-very friendly neighborhood vibe, with many popular bars and stores as close as you can get and very easy access to public transportation. The building has great, well-kept amenities including: large, beautiful lounge areas and kitchen to entertain guests, as well as a beautiful outdoor pool deck area and gym. Our unit has been amazing and one of the best values you’ll find considering the location and quality. Staff here has been amazing and helpful as well. All in all, I highly recommend OTP if you’re looking for a great value, luxury apartment in one of the most attractive areas Chicago has to offer.
Pretty disappointed in the service. I will say Tracy is great, shes very helpful & kind. Biggest problem I have is the packages are very delayed. Ive started sending packages to my friends places because I still havent received packages that were delivered to Old Town Park in Mid-January.I get that people are very busy and the staff members at this building deal with BS, but a package being delayed for 2 weeks is frustrating. For the price residences pay this shouldnt be happening.
Would have loved more transparency regarding concessions they offer upon move in, pro tip, ask as many questions you can up front. However, overall positive move in experience. Danielle from the leasing office is very helpful & the door staff is 2nd to none.
OTP1 rocks! Front desk team is amazing. Always helping me with my packages.
Awful, awful management. I have been in this building since 2019. We are on the 6th property manager that was put on place back in 2020 Fall and has never been a proper introduction to the residents as a community. The entire team rotates on and off and at this point nobody knows who is who and what are their titles. You only see faces in the office behind doors. There has not been a formal appropriate resident appreciation event between residents and management since late 2019 but you often get emails reminders with exclamation marks that your rent is due on the 1st. There is a constant fight between residents and rude hotel guest that this building allows and runs two floors as a hotel. Rowdy hotel guest often stays here for the weekends to stay and make their rap parties. Hotel guest are free to stroll the amenities floors at any given time while residents have to make reservations every single time for one hour only use. Hotel guests often are with out masks and rude about it. Nothing but stress and constant fights with management. Stay away from anything that is by Onni.
I had a wonderful experience working with one of the leasing agents (Ariana Williams). She was very professional, responsive, and accommodating. Highly recommend Ariana for any residents interested in Old Town Park.
My partner and I spent about three years at OTP 1 we loved the location in Old Town and the apartments proximity to public transit, Lincoln Park, and Jewel/Plum/Aldi. I was on the Northwestern Chicago campus and it was a stop away on the red line. The apartment and the building was a beautiful space to live in. The management and staff and particularly John the property manager were so great and really went above and beyond for us on numerous occasions even through the move out process. Also, it is a really dog friendly building!
Great apartment. great neighbors. friendly helpful staff. maintenance is top notch.
Very clean and great management.
I have lived at Old Town Park for the past 2.5 years and have nothing but great things to say about the team on site. Everyone has gone out of their way to make my family and I feel welcome. During the past nine months with COVID, they have done a great job keeping us all safe and healthy. I appreciate all that they do day in and out. I highly recommend this building to anyone!
Living at Old Town Park was a great experience. The apartments were spacious and offer excellent appliances. The 8th floor amenities offer a variety of options and were very well maintained/ clean as well as the lobby and common areas. Management was responsive, helpful and implemented feedback. Truly appreciated resident appreciation like breakfast in the lobby and virtual fitness classes. Maintenance responded quickly to requests. The concierge team was always looking to help out wherever they could and was welcoming the minute you walked in to the building not only to me but also my dog (which she loved). Covid was definitely a tough time but the staff did not let that show and continued to provide excellent service!
What time does the hot tub close?
Love love love my apartment! Top notch finishes and space for me to work from home!
I have been living in Old Town Park almost a year and have nothing but awesome things to say about the building. Especially during COVID, the common areas have been super clean. The staff and the front desk are welcoming and generally care about the residents. I also want to shout out property Manager, John Zivkovic. He has been super accommodative and great to work with. He’s always making sure everyone is great and keeping the residents happy.
Just moved in and love it!!! Wish I could use the spa but my apartment is fabulous! I looked at several places in the city, but the staff here is so fantastic I had to move here.
Beautiful place and amazing people. I absolutely loved living here!!!
Old Town Park TWO is where its at. Liz and Robin are the best management team I have had the pleasure to work with. While Covid really made for some tough times, they took it with a smile on their face and tried to cater to the residents as much as possible. My apartment has a great open kitchen with tons of views of the city and I couldnt be happier. The amenities are gorgeous and since the building just opened, everything is brand new.
I stayed with my wife in August and had a fabulous experience. We went to Wrigley and saw a couple of games, went to Michigan Avenue and both were only 3 or 4 stops on the red line. The unit was new and clean with a stocked kitchen and comfortable bed. We used the pool, hot tub,BBQ and other facilities which were all first class.
This building was great for about the first year it was open, and has gone down hill significantly ever since. The management team is very unorganized, and do not seem to communicate with each other. There is constant turnover of the front desk staff. Once COVID hit, they let go of maintenance workers and the hallways were full of trash, boxes, etc. It took forever for the amenities to re-open after lockdown, and the rules for using them were very strict. I was working from home the first few months of lockdown, and all my clients could hear was the construction noise from the Aldi being built. When I asked if I could use one of the common spaces to work, I was ignored. The 12th floor is rented out like an AirBnB, and there are unruly guests often. The last few months there have been random people hanging out at the front of the building, as well as wondering around inside. The flooring in the actual apartments is cheap, and the white walls are very easy to stain. The utilities charged are different from month to month, with many hidden administrative fees. I ended my lease early, and still had to pay for utilities, as well as $300 cleaning fee.You are basically overpaying for the amenities which you can hardly access at this time. I would look elsewhere.
I feel the apartment is drastically over-priced for the quality of services provided. Communication from management feels unprofessional at times with their constant requests and apologies in advance, there are chronic community issues (loud parties, intoxicated guests, dog pee in the elevators), and certain amenities feel unusable due to poor upkeep (sauna, steam room, basketball court). I expected a higher end experience, but got one more akin to a college dorm. Also, it looks like the 1-star reviews are from people that live here and the 5-stars are mostly from AirBnB users.
Horrible Management. This building has more issues than it is worth. All they care about is getting you in and once youre there you will regret it. The gym has oil constantly dripping from various spots in the ceiling, (they said it was an easy fix but that was a year ago) the dog run is too small for the amount of dogs they let in (more dog fights than I have ever seen), the roof desk doesnt actually get sun - seriously?!? This building has amenities but everything it seems like they tried to take every shortcut/cheap way out and it shows.
I have been living here since 2018 and that was a phenomenal year for Old Town Park with a very professional property manager and staff. That changed last year and now it is an absolute joke. This apartment building is now about 30 plus percent hotel operated which brings VERY questionable clientele to the building. Hotel guests are allowed to all amenities (when they were opened). Complete strangers everywhere, even now with COVID -19 - Lots of questionable people hanging in the parking lot - which supposed to be secure for residents. The Old Town Park hotel remained open since the pandemic started, even offering one-night stays. The word is out for many individuals to check into this hotel/ apartment building to bring their parties here on the weekend Cops have been called a couple of times due to party incidents and residents complaints. The management decided to close their doors during Covid-19 and lay off many of their maintenance staff. We are still paying full rent and amenities are completely closed; even before the lockdown started. The building is filthy dirty inside: garbage everywhere in the parking lot from hotel guests, pot odor in many areas, stained floors, hallywas are rarely vacuumed, and elevators havent been cleaned for weeks while the management hides behind a screen and sends out biweekly emails with same information of “building rules. No word on amenities when they will start to open, no plan in how they will handle social distancing when amenities open back up, zero virtual events, ZERO interaction with residents. The management does not know how to run a “luxury building.” Dont be fooled by pretty photos on social media. Find a better value for your rent money! All the five stars you see below are from hotel guests
I would like to say that I am very disappointed with the management team at Old Town Park. My wife and I noticed a price drop on their very own website after following them for months as we really wanted to stay here! When calling to confirm the price of the two bedroom, two bath unit, a leasing agent confirmed the price with me verbally and was getting ready to book a tour for me when I made the mistake of “talking a little too much.” After, mentioning that I was shocked that the price dropped drastically. She took a second and agreed it was a bit different. She told me she would call me back and after calling me back she mentioned that the website made a mistake and that the new price was reflected now and the price was raised up $1500.00. I was shocked with this response because if we would have applied and signed the lease term without calling we would have been locked into that original low price. They would not honor my honesty and would not give me the original price of the lease as advertised on their website. This was very poorly handled and a huge mistake on their end which I paid the price for since I was honest with them. I would not recommend dealing with this management team as I did not even get a phone call or email back from the manager with an explanation.
Do not live here. The property management team is so incompetent and they over charge for utilities
Awful front Desk service. Please hire Cordial friendly or train them better your apartments are expensive expend a little more money on your stuff maybe they will be happier not just with your residents but everyone that walks by, your front desk personal should be a representation of your building.
HORRIBLE. Terrible management team, impossible to deal with.
It is nice place for relaxation..
Great place
