Got a gel manicure and it was all white and blotching. It also felt like there was sand on my nails. The worst gel manicure I’ve ever had. It’s already chipping the next day. My pedicure is also chipping. Feel like I wasted $70. :(

BLEW me away! The entire staff amazed me with accommodating they were to my little kids there with us. Even letting the 4 year olds sit in the pedicure chairs. The facility was super clean!! They even provided us with water bottles and top notch service. My nail tech Ciar amazed me with my full set manicure. 10 out of 10!!

Very nice little salon! My husband & i are in the area during the week for work, had a down day so decided to get a much needed/ wanted pedicure- Tina was awesome, very pleasant experience! Went here today and got my nails done by Dee Dee and she did a great job. My only tiny complaint is that both Nails on my index fingers are a tad crooked but I will just have her fix those when I go in for a fill. Other than that she did an amazing job. The facility is clean and the staff is very nice and professional. I would definitely recommend coming here.

I love nail love! The owner is so sweet and compassionate about the customers. I have seen her go above and beyond. All the nail techs greet you with hello and the shop is very clean, and stylish. I been going here for years and i have never experienced a problem.

This is my go-to nail salon in the Hampton Roads! I’ve been a returning customer for a few years now and I am never disappointed. Jenny and her staff are very nice, personable, and welcoming! I recently had my gel fill-ins done by ‘Didi’ (I’m not sure if I’m spelling her name correctly) and she does an amazing job! Anna took her time and did a great job on my husband’s pedicure. If a customer does experience an issue in the salon, the staff does their best to resolve it and make the customer happy.

Came in for the $45 pink & white...specifically said $45 pink & white...got done handed her $60 cash she said I got a $3 discount for paying cash...she brought me back $8 which I gave as her tip...which I thought was odd bc I had planned on paying her a $10 tip. I went to my car thinking I had goofed on the math...realized I hadnt went back and politely said I think there was a mistake. Suddenly she no longer spoke English &walked off... the kid came up with some ridiculous way they rationizle jacking the price up to $55 then discounting to $52 without telling me.so disappointed...so much for thinking I found a new nail place!

Nail love is my fav nail salon in Chesapeake. Wonderful staff, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is serene and intentionally decorated. Great spot!

I felt pretty disappointed.. I showed the lady the design I wanted, and she kept saying yes and yes. First thought I had was, they didn’t have much good colors. There were so many shades of the same color, but they only had like two greens. I picked the green closest to what I wanted, but turns out they didn’t even have it and two of the colors I picked. I started panicking inside because that’s the design I really wanted, and now I had no idea what to do. She also kept adding things I didn’t ask for. I’d probably go to a different nail salon next time.

The people were super friendly and the services were completed in a timely manner, which was great!However, I was told the wait would be 10-15 minutes, and I ended up waiting 45 minutes. This was on a Monday around 11am.I got a full set and it was done decently - I really liked the nail tech. I personally feel that they were done too wide/too close to the cuticle because they started lifting at the cuticle and on the sides. Its been 1 week exactly and 2 nails have already fallen off.For $45 plus a cash tip, this shouldnt happen.

I went there 07/17/21 and my 8yr old daughter and I received pedicures. My daughter had her nails painted but yet they charged me for a manicure. I do not believe she had a manicure but yet I was charged for one. I gave them a substantial tip anyway and when I was leaving nobody thanked me for my patronage or said anything to me as i was leaving. For me service is EVERYTHING and I felt as though that was a missed opportunity to have me desire to come back again, which I most certainly will not go back again! I will find somewhere else!

Alex is so professional the best of the best! Love his work. The ambiance is beautiful and the people are friendly would definitely recommend! My manicure 💅🏽 was so refreshing he really takes his time. It’s very clean and the furniture is so glamorous. Pink chairs.. marble countertops a beautiful mirror by the pedicure station. Nail Love is that- it’s all lovely!!

Jenny is amazing! Despite being there last Friday evening, I was given top-notch service! She was kind, friendly, quick and thorough with my fill-in. She made sure my acrylic was secure and took the time to remove what was lifting. Although the wait was approximately 30 minutes, it was well worth it! Im looking forward for my pedicure! 😍😍

I had an issue where I didn’t care for how my nails turned out and came back the next day to get them changed. The staff was extremely nice about it and did my nails over without argument. Alex redid my nails and I absolutely love them. The service was excellent and the staff is extremely talented. Can’t wait to get them done again!

I get my eyebrows done here on a regular basis. I got my nails done for Christmas, but I’m just not a nail person, but they did look very pretty!I’ve gotten a pedicure here before and it was relaxing and expertly done.I highly recommend Nail Love.

I got a pedicure from Anna, and let me just say she did a wonnnnnnnderful job. i have sensitive feet so i rarely ever get pedicures but this pedicure i can definitely say ill be coming back for regular pedicures now. she’s very careful. go see her! you wont regret it.

Nail love is one of the best shops I’ve been to !! The style of the shop is so cute !! Every employee is nice & welcoming & they honestly do it all, from manicures to lashes. All the nail techs do great work. I went to Alex & my nails look amazing!

Nails popped off literally 6 days after I got them done. Tried them 2 different times and even looked at their reviews before I went. I saw Alexs name on alot so I went to him. The first time I went was june 6th by the second week one pooped off and I figured ok... I went back to get a fill on this past Saturday Alex told me to be there at 930 he didnt even get there till 10:05 there was already 3 people in front of me by this point so I literally sat there till 1 pm for him to finally get to me and ended up paying 50 dollars that day for a fill. Its now Saturday and 2 nails have popped off again which started yesterday. I never write reviews but Im so upset.... I wouldnt reccomend this place to anyone ever.

I went here and got my nails done, trying to find a consistent nail shop here . Nails were great even bought my mom here. Second time I went back, nails were decent until I got in the shower and my nail polish started peeling off. Mind you this is GEL polish. I went back and the one lady I can’t remember her name, had a NASTY attitude because when I went in to have them fixed, she asked me who did my nails and I told her EXACTLY what chair I was in who did my nails, she was borderline yelling and just plain rude because she was SURE she was right but didnt wanna own up to her mistake and literally tried to blame it on the other technician. Mind you I was cordial the whole time. Definitely wont waste my money here ever again. I would advise yall to tread carefully when going here.

Came in to get nails taken of done another shop. Teresa took her time with my nails and really brought them back to life. She verified the length I wanted and really took her time. Will definitely be coming back.

Love this place (I get gel manicures). If youre an introvert, ask for Deedee. She is really good about not making you feel like you have to do small talk. Its like a comfortable quiet. And her station is right in front of the tv so you have something to look at. The atmosphere is really inviting and they are very professional about Covid safety, washing their hands and sanitizing utensils constantly.

I absolutely LOVE Nail Love. Every time I’m in there I never see an unhappy customer. The techs are extremely nice and professional AND they know what they’re doing. I’m very picky about my coffin shape and Jenny, DeeDee and Alex get it right every time!! I will never go anywhere else and I’d trust any tech with my nails. And the decor is beautiful which is a plus if you’re into that kinda thing.

I never do reviews. I walked in and I wasn’t greeted, but I let it slide because they were pretty busy... I sat patiently waiting I was never asked what service I needed, long story short two White women walked in and the whole shop greeted them. I got up and walked right out!

I come here very often and I also get such awesome beautiful nails, the place is beautiful and I cant wait to see what it looks like since it’s been renovated! The staff is always nice and the services here are well priced! The pedicures are great and I always get my acrylics here! This salon is one of the best ones around the greenbrier area besides VIP nails!

OMG The owner Jenny and staff was AMAZING from beginning to end. I was just visiting VA and a relative suggested Nail Love BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. I even met other people men n women who drove from Washington for their services. Best service I ever had at a nail salon. The detox pedi is also the way to go. First time at nail love, it’s the best place I’ve been to yet! Kim did my nails and did an amazing job. I usually get acrylics but decided to do dip this time instead and for once I didn’t have my acrylics ripped off painfully like many places I’ve been to, instead she took her time and carefully soaked and buffed them off. Theresa is by fair my FAVORITE!!!!!!! Don’t get me wrong every one does a great job but she made me fall in love with my color and her service was EXCEPTIONAL! Defiantly making her my go to nail tech.

Came and got a gel polish change and a dip color change, when the tech was doing my dip I had to tell her four time my nails were uneven. Then she did my gel change on my toes and it was even worse, she rushed through the entire process and it came out so sloppy. Big waste of money and time!!

I cam there last week for a pedicure and a full set and yesterday i felt tired. I went to rite aid to do a covid test and the result was positive. Please be careful when you come there . They don’t social distancing. The service is poor too

I love, love, love “Nail Love“ !!!Everyone is always so pleasant and nice and very helpful. I finally found a place where I can have my nail done the way I like. The staff listens to my requests and they always perform (EXCELLENCE) service for me just the way I like it. When I made a mistake and messed up my nail near closing hours, they didn’t rush me out, they fixed my nail with a smile and waited until it dried. Mrs. Jenny has such an connection with all her guests from the moment they enter into the shop up until the moment they exit the shop. Her smile is contagious. She has such a warm and beautiful and sweet personality. The way Jenny, TJ, John, and DD engages eye contact and smiles and give excellent professional customer service makes me feel like I’m at home. I love this shop so much I now bring my mother and my daughter to every visit me. If you are truly, I mean truly looking for an out of this world excellent experience, you need to come to “ Nail Love” because the atmosphere is surged and full of love.

That is by far the best costumer service i have received in a nail salon. It was my second time today. I did have to get some corrections done from the first time and was very impressed how professional and nice it was handled. Very nice welcoming warm atmosphere. Definatley making it my regular.Update 08/10/19Like to add that once again service was exceptional. My opinion has not changed. Jenny did my ombre nails. Ive had a couple great experiences but yesterday I went in for a gel manicure and the woman destroyed my nails. To remove my old gel polish she used the grinder until there were only spots of polish left, then had me soak my hands in acetone and kept pushing my hands in further like it would make the polish magically come off. The acetone was ineffective so she used the grinder to remove the remaining polish. She started dry-cutting my cuticles, which were extremely dry due to the 10 minute acetone bath, with the worlds dullest cuticle cutters. She sealed the deal when she proceeded to buff the top of my nails with a course nail file, meant for shaping, which left deep visible grooves all over the surface of my nails.

AMAZING women!! 3 full sets, 2 eyebrow waxes, 1 pedicure .... We are all extremely happy with our results! Everyone was so sweet & nice, did superb work on everyone and very meticulous with everything. We 4 different techs (there was 4 of us - 3 teenagers and myself) each one was great! We were looking for a new place .... And found it!! I plan on coming back for a few other services knowing they did wonderful on the ones we did have!!

Everyone here was very pleasant, and a welcoming set up for the ladies. Alex is always on point.

Anna is an absolute rockstar, I had the roughest feet and didnt think anyone could help but Anna did. She was patient and kept going until my feet were perfect. Highly recommend 👌.

Went to get a pedicure done today. A lady tech was so rushing. She finished my pedicure in 14 min. I feel I got my feet wash and polish. Terrible place.Not recommended.

The place is super nice and clean. The atmosphere was super pleasant and bubbly as well. They did try to charge me differently from what I confirmed on the it phone but eventually it all worked out. But their work was superb!

Yesterday I went in for a pink and white full set. I have gotten these nails so many times I have never had such a terrible experience/result. She seemed to be in a rly big hurry and really agitated about something and was taking it out on my hands. In the picture you can see where I got nicked(it happens sometimes) but the whole experience was so so painful. And the finished product wasnt even worth it. The white is lopsided and uneven. I can very clearly see the fake nail thru the pink which is hideous. I have short nails but always always have the white cover up the whole fake nail. Some of them have little bumps. Just overall a terrible experience do not recommend this place for pink and whites looks like they do good for everything else.

Don’t come there if you want to have ugly nails like mine. They very rush to finish your service. I wish i read the reviews before i came . Wasted my time and my money

Hit or miss . This past time ( yesterday) was a miss as you can see by the way my nail polish dried . Also the tv was so loud, i could not feel relaxing.

Love this place everyone is so nice and generous. I met the owner for the first time today. She is beautiful inside and out. Ms. Anna fixed my nails !!! Beautiful spirit lady. I always come here but I went somewhere else for one time and I was left with an fungal infection Ms. Anna cut it down along with the owner cleaned everything with alcohol and a special liquid that is treated for that I love this place come here every one !!!

I have been here a total of 4 times the customer service is AMAZING !! The last 2 times I had Anna who is funny and very personable. I really wasn’t satisfied with my nails at first went back to her the next day and she fixed the problem she was still very nice and so professional. She wanted to make sure I was satisfied and that spoke volumes to me especially after coming back the next day. She is definitely my new nail tech. She did a amazing job! Oh and the place is so beautiful the decor is everything !!

Anna has been my nails for 2 years and she is such a sweetheart. Ive never had chipped polish, my nails have never broken and I always get compliments on my nails. She takes her time and make sure I am satisfied. The atmosphere is very relaxing.

I went to this place almost a week ago and Lynn did my nails. I get my nails done frequently by my Primary nail tech. Shes out on maternity leave. Lynn did my nails before. I liked them, even though she skipped some steps. I said Ill give her another try. Well on the first day of getting my nails done my red rhinestones started falling off. I dont think she used the gel polish because my polish is chipping off tremendously. To top it off my acrylic is chipping off as well. Last time going to her. She always rush and never gives ur hands or nails the TLC they need.

I was hesitant at first about going to this nail salon because I am extremely particular about my nails. I decided to give it a chance and Im glad I did. Its very clean and organized. They have a great selection of nail polish which is a relief. The nail techs are very experienced, nice and professional. I recommend Angela to do your nails. She takes her time and is very sweet. She does awesome work!!! I feel very comfortable here every time I go. The prices are reasonable. If you are looking for a place to get your nails done and are new to the area go here!!!!!!

I went in today for a pedicure and waiting about 30 minutes for a pedicure. When I went over to the pedicure chair, a strong smell of MOLD hit my nose and I asked the woman next to me if she could smell it but she said no. When I asked the manager about it, she said she wants entirely aware of the issue but that is was not a problem they felt necessary to address because nobody has complained before. I’m absolutely disgusted that they KNOW THEY HAVE A MOLD ISSUE but do not find it necessary to clean or prevent. I will never be back.

My experience at the nail shop was wonderful. JENNY is awesome, she has great customers service, and awesome nail tech. The nail salon was clean and JENNY did my nails so well. This is def my new nail shop.

Jenny did my nails. We had an awesome conversation. She fixed my shape from almond to coffin that another nail shop did. I will definitely be returning. From start to finish it was an awesome experience.

Just left after being helped for 2 hours. I just wanted a gel manicure. When I walked in there was no one else waiting and there were two people getting pedicures. With only two people working I can understand the wait. I was sat at a booth and one of the ladies started helping me. Halfway through taking my old polish off, the other lady tells her to go take care of other customers waiting on pedicures. So Im left there for 45 minutes with tinfoil on my fingers. During this time, three customers who clearly did not have appointments were helped ahead of me. When I was finally being taken care of again, the two colors of polish I picked were bad. So I attempted to try to pick my third color. She began offering off the wall colors that didnt look similar at all. I left TWO HOURS later without getting my nails done. This place is unprofessionally managed and does not stock half the colors they advertise.

I am disgusted after getting waxed here (eyebrow, lip and Brazilian). The first problem was that the wax they used they intentionally cooled so it was less effective and ended up ripping off skin layers so I have a large sore above my eye, which I have never gotten from any other salon and I do not have sensitive skin. The second issue was that in doing my Brazilian not only were hairs here and there left and not cleaned up, but after a proper look later on, they missed an entire patch completely. The final issue is the major health concern, and I didnt realize until the last patch went on was that they were reusing the same sticks in a pot of wax after they had touched my skin instead of disposing of them, so that was was contaminated from not only my use but whoever they waxed before me which is absolutely unacceptable.

Had a great experience or so I thought until not even a week later my nails started lifting. When I went in to get them repaired I was told I would get a fill to repair then, So they did one. Then they charged me full price for a repair on something that should have not happened to begin with. I was hoping to speak to the owner but they were not there so I will be calling back to try to get the situation rectified or I just won’t be back.

Nail Love (Formerly Nails First) is probably the BEST salon Ive ever been to. The owner, Jenn, is the sweetest business woman with the most genuine attitude of thankfulness. All the staff members are polite, professional, and know how to carry a conversation. The prices are about the same as most other salons, and the shop is decorated so nicely. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for quality work and a clean and stylish environment!

This is the only place I go to for nails - once every three weeks. I have my favorite that I make appointment with, but all of them are great. The nail color selection is good, the facilities and equipment clean and my nails never chip, peel or break. More important than anything to me is that it is quiet and peaceful - they speak to you as their client (and not to each other) I definitely recommend.
