I was in there Sunday and got a gel mani pedi. Two days later (it’s now Tuesday) and the gel paint on my nails is already chipping off. Super disappointed in the quality of their polish and the sloppy work.

I’ve visited twice here for a gel manicure and gel pedicure. Beer did my nails and was very friendly and did an awesome job in a timely matter with my nails and feet. I recommend her if you ever need to get your nails done.

Had a French tip manicure done. Made an appointment ahead of time. In and out in a timely fashion, great price and my nails are beautiful. Never disappointed when I receive any services here.

Although everyone was kind and friendly I made an appointment for Saturday at 11am and was not seated until 12pm so they do not honor appointment times. In addition, the gel manicure I paid $35+ tip for has got to be the worst Ive ever had. Today is Wednesday and I already need new polish. So dissapointed, they came highly recommended, wont be going back!

I started coming here a few months ago and now it is the only place I come to. Inviting atmosphere, friendly staff and they always do a great job.

Love this place!!! I got a French gel manicure and we are going a week later after gardening, traveling and being a mom to a 2 and 3 year old I would say they held up amazing they still love fresh other than the mail growth! Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

I was greeted right away and told to pick my color I waited about fifteen minutes. The guy that did my nails seemed like he could have cared less about doing my nails and the work was sloppy. I will reach out and see if they will fix the paint on my nails.

You make an appointment for a reason! They do not honor appointments. Very poor service when you call to schedule appt and have to wait. I tried to give them another chance today at 1pm and still had to wait. We stood outside because there were so many people waiting. What kind of business makes you wait when you have a designated appointment? And the person didnt even seem to mind or acknowledge that we had an appointment. We will go somewhere else even though its the closest for us!

I am new to the area and made an APPOINTMENT to have my nails done. When I arrived at my scheduled time there were several people waiting. I told the receptionist I had an appointment and was told I would still have to wait about 45 minutes. Do they not understand what appointment means? They just lost a customer

Really not worth the money… almost spent $200 and my feet still look rough. I made an appointment for 10am they did not honor it I had to wait 30 minutes. People who came in after me got seated first. Go somewhere else if you’re going to spend this much money on a service it needs to be worth it. I’ll be getting a pedicure elsewhere next week 🙄

My first experience a month ago was very refreshing. However, my second visit which was a couple of days ago wasnt. During the pedicure I discovered later two of my toes cuticles bleed slightly as well as one of my fingers during the manicure. Where this was only the second time Ive ever had it done, maybe its normal.

Absolutely the best nail salon in Hampton roads, hands down! Even my 15 year old daughter agrees and she is pickier than I am! My nails look amazing still after two weeks! Van and Tracy are very pleasing to the customer and surpass our expectations! We are forever customers. Thanks so much for everyone’s hospitality at Hanbury Nails.

Took my aunt for a pedicure. It was a very rushed service. They didnt exfoliate very well. Still had rough spots on both of our feet. Paid for the signature pedicure with massage. The massage was very quick and more of a foot rub then massage. Would not return.

My wife scheduled an appointment here for the first time using their website. She arrives and they dont even ask for her appointment she had to repeat herself all over again. If the site dont work then turn it off is just a waste of time and very annoying.Needless to say, poorly managed even-though you have an appointment you still need to wait since making appointments completely pointless.When she came back her feet still looked the same from when she left the house making it a complete waste of money.Obviously I strongly encouraged her to find a new salon since this one is clearly poorly managed and she will not return.Management:Utilize your appointment system so you can plan how much staff you need if youre understaffed. Limit time blocks according to services. Otherwise this will always be busy and people will not come back. Your priority should be return customers if not youll be out of business here in a few years.

Hello. I’ve been a patron for many years. Today’s pedi was excellent, $37.00 and gave a $10.00 tip, worthy, yet unappreciated. I won’t be back as I felt unappreciated or recognized as a valued patron from Chesapeake.

My nails were very rushed. He didn’t paint all the way back to the cuticle line and he cut my nails without filing after to shape them. I was disappointed in the quality of my manicure. My nails look like a week of growing out, but it’s the same day.

Love this nail salon. Tracy does and incredible job. She is fast and very detailed. Im new to this area and Im so glad to have found her.

I received a manicure service using gel polish and painted white French tips. During the manicure, my cuticles were cut to bleeding 3 times on 3 different fingers. Manicure looked great for 5 days before my right thumbnail chipped and the right index finger peeled off. I work at a desk job and do not use my hand extensively so I would have expected a gel polish to last longer than 5 days.

Great, but long wait. I had an 11:30 appointment that didnt actually begin until 12:45.

Great place to go in Chesapeake. VY (Vee) has been doing my gel manicures and pedicures for about a year now, and she is always so pleasant. The shop is clean, well run, and everyone is very friendly. The staff all help each other out and make you feel welcomed.

My daughter and I went to Hanbury Nails after having an unsatisfactory experience at another salon. They were very professional, asked what we wanted and completed both sets of nails to our great satisfaction. Will definitely be back!

Hands down the best salon that I’ve been to. They are always professional, quick, give quality product and service. The prices are great! I can be quiet picky when it comes to my nail shape and they give me exactly what I ask for. I drive 30 minutes to them because they are the best. I recommend this salon a thousand times over.

Took my daughter here for her nail appointment on 10-20-19, 1130. You would think with an appointment they nail tech would take time to introduce themselves. Nope. The tech seemed to rush through and left acrylic all over my daughters cuticles. Her thumbs were a mess. Nails were not even. I took her here based on their reviews, and the pictures. I am a bit upset that for $50.00 bucks her nails did not look better. Will not be returning to this place .

I have been using this salons services for 2 years & have found their staff friendly & willing to accommodate however they can. You should schedule an appointment because they can get really busy but I have also watched them make a concerted effort to work in walk ins in a timely manner as well. Sophie is my go to person there. I have known her for 3 years & appreciate her considerate & unbiased personality, along with her skilled expertise.The place to go for nail services--they get my vote!

Lucky took off my dipped nails and gave me a shellac manicure. He sanitized everything I touched and did a GREAT JOB!

Great place. Clean and punctual service. I got a full set with gel color for $40. Extremely reasonable. Not the best at customer service when it comes to making conversation, but I am an introvert so this was okay for me.

I am 12 and they dont take me or other aged people like me serious. My gel nails peeled off in a week!! Not cool:/ they just blew me off.

I drive 20 minutes out of my way just to go to Hanbury Nails. They do a phenomenal job. Very happy customer!

Went in with a picture of what I wanted and was told they could do it but what i walked out with was not even close. I had to ask multiple times to have my nails filed a certain way and still didn’t end up with the almond shape I wanted. the nails are extremely thick, dont march and the underneath wasn’t shaved down at all. I was also cut multiple times - it was definitely not worth the $55 I had to pay for a full set. I will never go here again. I just got them done today and have to go somewhere else tomorrow to get them fixed so that they look somewhat decent.

First time getting my nails here and Ill never be back! Took almost 3 hours to even get a tech because they only had 3 people in the shop at almost 2 in the afternoon. When I finally got seated the guy started on my nails. He charged me $50 for just a simple fill in when my friend got a full set put on and they only charged her $45. Ive NEVER paid more than $35 for a fill in and Ive been getting my nails done for 6 years. My nails were super thick, Sonny is the guy who did my nails and he had no idea what he was doing with the file. I left and the next day my thumb and index finger was already lifting at the top because he was in such a rush, and didnt do it right! My whites was not even and looked awful! I should have complained but I hate confrontation! I just will never be back here again!The area was nice and clean and they did look organized. I only went because the reviews looked pretty good, but I did not receive the same service as others had.

Not the worst experience, but pedicure was largely unpleasant. Nail tech cut me pretty badly early on and spent a lot of time failing at fixing the bleeding. Focused very intensely on my calves almost but ignored my feet.

Me and my mother were walk-ins for pedicures. The salon was packed and we waited about 10mins to be seated at the pedicure station, then another 10mins to get started but after that, the service was quick and wonderful! Very satisfied! Staff was extremely nice!

They are under new management and wonderful. Tracy did my manicure and pedicure. My appointment was 9:30. I was taken early and she did n amazing job. Was completely finished in about an hour? Will definitely go again.

Kathy did my nails (dip) and a signature pedicure. She did a great job and really gives your nails detailed attention. Plus shes very sweet and enjoyable to spend time with....My daughters and I always have a good experience here, regardless who has done our nails.

I used to be a regular, loved the atmosphere, and friendliness of the workers, I was forever turned off by this place when they took several guests in front of me, even after I spoke up and switched their pedicure routine. They attempt to charge $40 for what would be considered a standard pedicure everywhere else in the United States, no warm towel, just a super short massage. Not worth the $25, They also had no urgency to serve me. I spend 2 HOURS at this location just for a pedicure. Ive had previous great experiences, but after this last visit I wouldnt recommend this place to any friends or strangers.

They overbook their clients. I made an appointment time for the afternoon, and someone who didn’t have an appointment was called before me. I waited for over 30 minutes for an appointment that I booked. Completely terrible customer service. My nail tech walked away from me more than 6 times. My nail tech didn’t apologize, and didn’t even say one word to me. The nail tech was more interested in what was going on around him, than doing my nails. This reminded me why I haven’t come back here for over a year. I think the worst part about the whole thing was that he was the shift leader. The one positive thing was that my nails did turn out okay, but not great.

The worst nail salon ever. They messed up everyones nails in our group, totally forgot about my oldest daughter who sat there with her feet in cold water while they helped someone who came in after us. After complaining to the manager she said oh I forgot about her. Dont go here. Its gross and dirty and they are so rude.

Went in today for a fill in and i walked out completely happy! Tracy did my nails for a fill in, i showed her a picture of how i wanted them and she nailed it! Loved the atmosphere and the friendliness of everybody. People started coming in and lining up to be next and i never felt like Tracy was rushing to get me out. Its hard to find a place that does a good job and im super impressed and will definitely be making my appointments here from now on.

On a recent visit one of these unhappy individuals even called to threaten an employee because this unhappy individual was too impatient to wait her turn! My mother and I get gel on our nails and I was a little nervous because I had my 5 month old with me. Every woman in there LOVED her and one held her to give me a break (she didnt want to give her back haha ). The nails were affordable and well done and the staff is really lovely. I have gotten my nails done at some other places but they cant never do my nails the way I wanted them too sad this has been happening for the past 6 years sense my old nail tech moves back to her home town. I came here expecting another disappointment but Sonny is the best nail tech that have ever done my nails I showed him a picture and he nailed it ! I cant believe I live in Maine now and I have to drive 12 hours to come see him every two week! Haha. The place is super clean and the staff is super friendly. I recommend this place to anyone!
