Well kinda messed up that they let us know 1 day before hand that they are no longer open sundays. See I work 6-7 days a week with Sunday being the only day off I ever sometimes get off, or if I do work sundays it’s usually only takes up 6 hours of my day. So sundays are my days to go to the rec. but now I can’t because they’re no longer open sundays.

I always have a great time at the rec its a time where I get to let out some stress and think about things Im going to do on the day. the steam room is an awesome place for a meditation and relaxation especially after a good workout or even before my daughter really enjoys the swimming pool and has a great time with her friends the desk clerks are always cheerful and always seem happy to see us really appreciate what they do

Wide variety of gym equipment, though not organized at all as everything is just thrown wherever.

Last time I was here is the YMCA so Im glad its still a good place to swim!

Very good place to swim excercise and to play and there is one thing that I want to say I called and they just hung up so I recommend just going and asking

I love that they have a child center. It makes it easier for parents to go workout, just wish the classes were more during these times though. Could def use updates but it has pretty much all you need from a basketball court to lots of free weights and machines. Also wish they were open on sundays.

They have some flat basketballs but they have pumps to fill them up the weight rooms and the pool are in good condition and they have nice workers with a cheap price of $5

My whole family LOVES the Rec, the staff is very welcoming, and they speak to you and treat you better than any place in fort dodge that has customer service. Childcare there is great and my kids always leave kid care happy and sweaty from all of the activity they do :) then they get to swim which they absolutely love too. I’m anxious to see what the REC does with the pool upgrade down the road. The cardio room is my favorite, but there’s soo many classes there and endless opportunity.
