I lived here for 2 years and just moved, I needed more space but these apartments were great! The location is amazing and I always felt safe. Joanne in the leasing office is so friendly and professional and is always willing to accommodate or assist the residents with whatever they need. Maintenance is on top of your requests and building is kept clean!

Was interested in moving here until coming here today and dealing with someone who works here with an attitude. I can’t even give you a name because she didn’t even introduce herself. How are you having an attitude already with someone who doesn’t live here yet. What about that would make me want to live here.

Allure: the illusion of a luxurious apartment complex. Stay away!!Lived here for a year and the maintenance and management has fallen off of a cliff. It starts with the manager Jodi Nelson. She’s completely incompetent at her job. She’ll lie to you about why things are broken and when they’ll be fixed. For instance, the garage gate has been broken for almost a year now. At first she would send updates saying it would be fixed soon, they were just waiting on parts, etc. After a couple of months, the updates just stopped and it turned out fixing the gate was never a priority. So the gate stays broken and is just roped off and can’t be used. Instead, they spend money on flowers out front and new pool chairs. By her own coworkers admission, Jodi doesn’t even read messages on the resident portal if you raise an issue to her!Allure is really just an illusion of a luxurious apartment. They’ll be the first to tell you how great it is that they have food trucks and grab and go dinner, but it seems every week there is something broken (they just had to shut off the water to the building this week because of a leak!). They have a pool, yet it seems it’s closed every other week for “chemical balancing,” even though there was a waterfall of a leak coming from the pool into the garage last week. Water leaks, broken garage gates, parcel lockers not working, apartment appliances breaking, broken fob entrances, pool closures, and the list goes on and on. You get used to the weekly emails about one thing or another being broken and how they appreciate your understanding for any inconvenience. The management company, RKW, is just as bad. If you call RKW’s head office to address these issue you’ll hear the same type of runaround: “we’re very concerned and we will make sure someone follows up with you to sort everything out”. After that, you won’t hear from them again and your follow up call will go unreturned. The building is falling apart and management puts in no effort to fix things. Just look at the other reviews of apartments in South Park area and you’ll notice Allure is the lowest rated place. I couldn’t agree more with all the negative reviews of Allure. Don’t make the same mistake as I did and fall for the “luxury.” Stay away!!

Next month, I will be moving out of Allure after calling this place home for the past 2 years. Im going to try to be as thorough as possible with my review, so this wont be a short read. Me and my two dogs have enjoyed our time at AllureThe property - The building is in great shape and maintained well. Theres plenty of parking for residents. Theres limited guest parking. Lots of places to walk pets. Everything is a secure entry and there is a live-in public safety officer. Security can be contacted via phone. Theres 3 elevators on the property and 4 courtyards, one of which has the pool area. The loading area in the back is great for moving ease. A freight elevator is right next to this area. The cleaning crew does a great job of making sure that the place is picked up throughout the week. The front office is accessible via phone, walk-in, e-mail and through the resident portal. The apartments - Each of the apartments has upgraded features like the flooring, cabinets, granite countertops, and appliances. Most apartments have open layouts. Every apartment has a balcony area and it will either face the interior courtyards/pool, or it will face outward to the streets or greenway between allure and Legion Brewing. Lots of cabinet space and the rooms are decent sizes as well. The bathrooms have plenty of space and the closet sizes are decent as well.Surrounding area - Southpark mall is literally 2-3 blocks away and Piedmont Row is right across the street. They have some wonderful sit-down restaurants within walking distance like Del Friscos, Peppervine, South Park Grill, Village Tavern, Mal Pan, Bentleys, Ruths Chris, 131 Main and Legion Brewing. There is a dry cleaner, YMCA, nail salon, hair salon, barber shop, Novant Health Pediatric center, and hotel also within walking distance. Everything is pretty nice and safe.Amenities - The clubhouse is open 24/7 and is great for hosting a group gathering or party. The 4 courtyards have seating and themes: Zen Garden, 2 grilling areas, pool area. Theres a great gym and yoga studio on the 1st floor which also has secure access. The business center is also available and connected to the Luxer locker room. The Luxer system is used by most delivery companies and sends you an e-mail and text notification when you have a package available downstairs. There are storage units available in various sizes. You can also pay for reserved parking spots. The mail room is next to the Luxer locker room. The front office has some carts available for moving items. There is a dog walking service available and trash pickup is Sunday-Thursday at 8:30pm. Theres also some vending machines for food and drinks off one of the exits to the pool area. Theres tvs in various places throughout the property for entertainment. The front office holds regular community events and hires food trucks.Maintenance - This team is pretty awesome. You can put in a maintenance request and its generally addressed within 24-72 hours, dependent upon the time that the request is submitted. This team is very nice and they get things fixed quickly.Residents - Everyone normally keeps to themselves and the halls are quiet. Theres a pretty large age range with residents. Most people living here are working professionals. Many people have pets. Its an apartment complex, so if someone is playing music at a certain level, you will hear it through the walls. While everyone is pretty nice, some may have some difficulty following rules or being respectful to the property. Residents with pets can sometimes leave pet accidents in the hallway, not pick up after their dogs outside, or let their dogs run around off their leash.

The inside of each unit is very nice, but the property itself is in shambles. Currently, no grills or fire pits work, landscaping isnt kept up, the pool is actually empty, one entrance to the parking garage has had broken gates for 4 months, and there is open access to the building. And by open access, I mean anyone can stroll up to the parking area at any time of day by foot, with zero issue. And then if they just check a few doors, they can easily walk up to ANY unit/floor/etc. there is also a huge problem with packages being stolen and the management is EXTREMELY ineffective. If you tell them a problem, you get the same run around for weeks on end and nothing gets done.Youd think with all of these major issues, they would do something for the residents. Nope. They actually cut all resident activities and events. I know its COVID but EVERY other complex in the area does things such and a grab and go, or a food truck day, etc. they dont try. Also the coffee machines are always disabled due to very simple things like having no water, or out of coffee beans. Things that take 2 minutes to fix or check on even a weekly basis are passed by. The staff simply doesnt care.Avoid this place at all costs. Im already searching for a new location to live in the area.Edit: There isn’t a point in contacting the management, they are highly ineffective at their jobs, as all of these points have been raised by several people. I’ve heard about increasing crime that residents aren’t aware of including a stolen car!!! It’s getting out of hand.

As an agent, I am thrilled anytime I have a chance to show this property to a client. My recent experience placing someone in a lease exemplifies the many reasons why. Both leasing team members, and the property manager worked to accomodate different parts of my clients transition with a high level of attention. Our requests were never too big or small. This property has a killer location, provides high quality finishes and features, while being a destination one can easily call home. The space is clean and well tended. RUN. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED.I do NOT recommend ever staying at Allure. I shouldve went elsewhere with the first red flag. Im a travel nurse who only needs a three month lease, preferably something furnished. When I toured the apartment, the leasing employee (JoAnn Sheppard) informed me the apartment came furnished with utilities included. Great, right? So we got the ball rolling on a unit. Halfway into the process (as I spoke about furniture & utilities, etc), JoAnn states the apartment is NOT furnished and does NOT include utilities (stating she never said it was included to begin with which was a lie). At this point, I had no time to look elsewhere for a place to stay, as I had to transition from staying with a local friend who was in the process of unexpectedly moving herself... With that, the price jacked up. First red flag encounter.Secondly, the neighbors I dealt with were very rude and caused a lot of embarrassment with false accusations. I woke up at 3 am one morning to the security officer calling to inform me the neighbors had called & complained because I was throwing a party and screaming on my balcony when I was asleep in my bed & the only other person there was my boyfriend. Ive also had rude notes left on my door because my dog was constantly barking and it was very loud (Shes a small weiner dog who wears a barking shock collar. I also kept a Furbo camera on which monitors and alerts me when she barks. She was not barking constantly at all, ever.) I was having a conversation on my balcony once with a friend and the lady below me came out and said Excuse me, youre disturbing my dog. I had to constantly tip toe around and walk on eggshells to live here. I could be having a normal toned conversation and the neighbors would bang on the wall. This puts the icing on the cake. I stopped by the office to remind them Id be dropping off my keys soon, as my lease ends this weekend. They were very aware I am a travel nurse whod only be in the area for 3 months (my contracted job length & my lease length). As I was speaking to them, they informed me they knew I was only staying for my lease dates but I needed to write them a 60 day notice that I was moving out. They proceeded to tell me Id have to pay the new rental price of $2,300 plus a $500 fee ($2,800) per month for a total of two months ($5,600). Now Im in between jobs trying to figure out where Im going to get $5600 from. JoAnn and the property manager (Jodi Nelsen) said theyd try to get the cost down and contact me later about it. Thats the only help they offered & I havent even heard back from them. They told me Itll just go to collections if I dont pay it. Jodi Nelsen literally rolled her eyes and walked away while I was mid-sentence explaining how unfair this was to me considering it was very well known I was only staying until my lease end date. It was made very clear they dont care about other people or their struggles. I even heard JoAnn Sheppard rudely tell someone over the phone, who decided to live elsewhere, they wouldnt be happy where theyre going and sarcastically said good luck. Knowing I was only staying for my 3 month contract, the notice form shouldve been given to me the day I moved in. However, I wasnt even told about this form until speaking to them about dropping my keys off. They knew what they were doing. Ive heard and seen other similar stories where this property has scammed residents out of a lot of money. The only polite employees I ever came in contact with was Olivia Moore, the marketing manager and the security officer who agreed my neighbors were being completely irrational. I feel bad that they have to work alongside such careless & rude coworkers

Never heard anything after reaching out to them in regards. Once I finally got the chance to move out they under paid me the security deposit and took them a month and several emails and phone calls to finally receive unannounced. They just simply dont care and people are starting to tell after speaking with neighbors the day of move out.. Several better options around.

The apartments are beautiful and amenities are great. Maintenance crew is awesome and super responsive.Do not expect a security deposit refunded! We moved out 87 days ago and have not received a refund. We started calling at the 30 day mark and were told that an old management company was responsible. After not being given a point of contact there and being unable to get a call back I physically went to the office where a leasing agent called them and left a nasty message for the old company reminding them about the laws surrounding it and how I’m well within my rights to hire a lawyer and voice a complaint on the BBB.The old company emailed me immediately and set to fix it only to find out that it was not their responsibility and the current management company has to pay it. We received an email from the old company saying Jodi was taking care of it that morning (9/17). 9/28 I called and asked the status where they said that it’s “in the works” and she took my name/number to leave a message for Jodi which was never returned. 9/30 I tried calling three times and nobody answered so I went to the office for the second time. When they unlocked the door Jodi moved away from her glass office and into a back one so I could not see her. She made the poor leasing agent try to explain a new reason why we don’t have it instead of talking to me herself like an adult and then YELLED from the back office that they are my point of contact when I asked for a different number to call.

Four very well organized inside courtyards and the garage is secure with very comfortable parking opportunities. All logistics for supporting an active lifestyle is the best. Allure and its employees, including the assistant property manager have carried themselves in a very unprofessional manner throughout the process of the online leasing application. After I was at my wits end while funneling over $800 into the online leasing application I decided to not continue to pursue an apartment with this unorganized and dishonest agency. I have yet to have been able to recoup said funds that the assistant property manager promised in an email that I would receive, (except the application fee) within a month! It has now been well over a month. Please, if you value your time, resources, well-earned money, and honest leasing and property managers, look else where to live. Seriously.

This property is beautiful and you can not beat the location. The parking deck is well lit and there is never a shortage of spots. The interiors are beautiful as well. That being said, they boast a few things are are simply untrue... this is NOT a non-smoking community (they will tell you it is and its on the website, but they get around this by making exceptions), so if that is important to you- do not rent here.Pet rules are not enforced, be prepared to deal with pet urine/waste in the grass and stairwells, sometimes the elevators. Be prepared to see pets in areas where they are not permitted like near the grills and pool. The office staff is friendly but largely unresponsive. It is hard to get assistance from them on just about anything other than maintenance. When my lease was ending, I didnt even get a renewal letter (they stated thats simply a courtesy that other communities do), but had to call in myself to get an update, at which point they offered me zero incentive to stay) and about 2 hours to make the decision before I would be paying for an extra month.) Considering the pandemic and many available units, it seems like it wouldve been advantageous to offer something.Speaking of the pandemic, when residents requested assistance, nothing was done other than offer to people to pay weekly.I am someone who has lived there for over a year, paid rent early and in full every month, never had any complaints or reprimands from the community. I am a tenant they should want to retain. That being said, with luxury apartments hurting from the pandemic and Allure offering nothing, I have elected to save money and move elsewhere because it will literally save me $ to hire movers and go across the street to an equally appointed community where they welcome the new business. As for Allure, they are offering one month free currently to new leases, which will be important to them as multiple people currently living here no longer wish do so.

Great place to live. Highlights for me are the quality of appliances and fixtures, the security and size of the parking garage, the nice courtyards and balconies, and the structural elements that help reduce noise. My only suggestions for management are to post stop signs or caution signs on pillars in the garage because of the behavior of some residents who cut corners and go down the ramp at ridiculous speeds and to give new residents a reference card on how to operate the thermostat, which has way too many features to be used easily at first just by common sense.

That was over a year and a half ago. I am EXTREMELY picky and I get very tired of areas/apartments quickly and move as soon as a lease is up but this is the first place I have renewed my lease at. When going through the renewal process, they were AMAZING to work with. Ally made it so easy after the stress we had gone through before. Quick background- we had given our notice to move to a townhome and it fell through last minute. My stay at Allure unfortunately ended on a poor note. For starters, the actual complex is great. I lived on the top floor in a sizable 1 bedroom and compared to competition for the money and area, Id say it is one of the best around. Events are nice, complex is usually clean, and overall feel is laid back. Now to the cons...I am not sure what management changes are happening but its clear something is going on. All the best residential assistants are constantly leaving and theyve gotten less friendly and less helpful since I have lived there. New people always say Im not sure how to do that when you ask a question. Front office hours arent great which means getting packages can be tough for those that work. Theyre not willing to place packages in your apartment for you even if it is very important. Im guessing they got enough complaints and just started having delivery services dump your packages at your front door. ANYONE can take your packages and there are no cameras in the hallways to give peace of mind. The problem that ruined my experience was my departure. I asked a gentleman at the front desk my move out date and he confirmed it with me and I sent a move out notice as instructed, no problem. I had actually moved out two weeks before then and the front desk knew this as they asked to do a final room inspection to check damages. They did so a week before my official move out date, according to the date I was told. I came back on my move out date to turn in my keys, all good. Then received a bill for over $150 because I stayed past my move out date? I reached out to Andrea Gallegos, Assistant Manager via email to inform her of the miscommunication and even provided info that I have emails saying the move out date I was told and Andrea COMPLETELY DISREGARDED my email, saying I need to pay up. I responded asking if she in fact read my email and NEVER RESPONDED! This is inexcusable Allure, and definitely not how to treat a resident of yours even if relocating elsewhere for work. Be fair to your residents and take responsibility for your mistakes -- and maybe keep looking for better management. I wouldnt recommend moving here unless you want to get hit with hidden fees. There is competition down the street I would recommend looking at instead.

Since the two years weve lived here, the management has been changed more than four times, and the quality of the management has slowly declined and more and more problems arise. One of the office agents isnt very friendly. She will see us and doesnt say Hi, she will just turn her head and pretend she doesnt see us.These are a few of the things weve experienced while living here. When our second lease renewal was up they gave use a rate more expensive than another 1 bedroom for the same amount of lease time. The rate was more expensive than what was posted on the website, which shows they dont want to keep existing residents.Machines arent well maintained such as the coffee machine, which doesnt work sometimes, Ice machine is broken at the clubhouse.Pool was closed most of the time during Spring and Summer.Dirty stairways. The hallways sometime smell like MarijuanaThe lock to the Gym door is broken (it used to require a key fob for access). Now anyone can just go right into the gym. One of the leg machines is broken and hasnt been fixed yet.Security is bad. There are a few places where people can get in without a key fob, and cars were broken into around Thanksgiving. There arent many security cameras in key places. The apartment says this place is dog / pet friendly, and weve noticed people would let their dogs play in one of the courtyards, and even dog parties were held there in the past (I have few videos of evidence), so we allowed our puppy to play in the same courtyard(of course after taking her out to pee and poo) so there is no accident in the courtyard, and now theyve recently sent out a letter stating dogs are not allowed in the courtyard. They didnt even say anything about dogs not being allowed around the pool area, where dog poop ended up in the pool one day. There are 3 courtyards in this apartment complex, why cant they dedicate one of the courtyards to allow dogs? Some residents dont pay for pet fees.Dog poop found in the hallway, stairways, and at the courtyard. (They probably do that because theres no more space in the greenway, since the greenway is so nasty).Noise coming from neighboring Legion Brewing, and kids running around screaming and making noise, cigarette butts, food waste and broken glass found on the greenway between Legion Brewing and Allure. Some of the good things we experienced...Previous office agents were a lot nicer ( Nikki, Celeste, Ally). They handled issues a lot better than the current staff, and did a better job at offering renewal leases. Debbie is also really nice. Some of neighbors are really nice, which is a reason which kept us here, but now they are slowly leaving this apartment complex as well because management didnt give them a good rate, and we will be leaving as well.If I can give zero star, I would love to do it, but I give one star to my neighbors and previous management

Stay **FAR** away. I have never experienced management like this in my life. You are nothing but a number. First, I was told upon lease signing that smoking was not permitted in the apartments. When I moved in, my unit STANK of stale smoke, so much so that I was coughing constantly. I did everything under the sun to get rid of the smell (including wiping every surface, which came up black with obvious cigarette residue, windows open for days, 4 air fresheners, dryer sheets pinned all over, etc). I contacted leasing, who told me that it was $1,000 to transfer to a different unit. I settled and paid $500 to move to a unit in which I could breathe. I was not happy, but not one to make a fuss. Second, the dogs in the building are out of control. There is pee in the elevators all the time, poop all over the property, and they bark constantly. The noise in general is unreal - if you like sleeping with your windows open, pick another place. Third, the building is not secure. The elevator at the main entrance was not key fob operated for the first two months I was here. Anyone could have walked in and gained access to all floors. People wait in their cars around the back of the building for a resident to open the garage and then they race into the garage after you and park. Yes, I have brought all of this up to management several times. Fourth, I found major oversights in their lease documents, specifically surrounding their smoking policy (I have never smoked). I read every lease in full and have photos of the oversight within the document. This complex has been, as I was told by the leasing office, charging ex-residents cleaning fees when they have smoked in their apartment, when in fact their own legal document contradicts that (specifically states that smoking is allowed AND not allowed, all in the same document). Lastly, the management. This was the tipping point for me. I didnt write my 60-day notice the right way, so they decided not to accept it, and then DIDNT TELL ME. Lo and behold, I went back through the lease AGAIN, and it turns out they did not attach any form to fill out, or give any kind of guidance on how they would like you to give your notice. They do not care about their residents. I have lived in a lot of different communities and this is the WORST I have EVER experienced. I do not leave reviews like this without good reason. If management decides to make things right, ill update this review with their actions.

EXPECT YOUR RENT TO INCREASE DRASTICALLY WHEN IT COMES TIME TO RENEW YOUR LEASE! My husband and I moved in almost a year ago. The rent at the time was reasonable and comparable to other apartment buildings in the area. Now that it is time to renew our lease, we just found out that our monthly rent is increasing over $400. Thats more than a 33% increase. We expected it to increase somewhat but no where near this much. So now we will be spending our time and money relocating to a new apartment building in the area. Before you spend your time and money moving here, just know that there is a good probability that your rent could increase immensely when it comes time to renew your lease. There are other apartment buildings in the area that are not only newer and offer more amenities but the rent is also much more reasonable.

This is the worst apartment complex I ever live in. I relocated to Allure because it look beautiful and the pool. Since I been living here, I never step my foot in the pool because the pool been closed. The summer is almost over and my kids been crying in my ear about not going to the pool. The worst part is that I have a pool view. Can you imagine the management been fixing the pool for the past 2-3 months. Everytime you call the office, they give you a BS excuse about the pool will soon be fix. The residents need to get a discount off this expensive rent due to the pool being close.

Loud parties on 3rd floor with music blasting with smokers on balcony between hours of 12-6am. No white glove service at all from staff or management. In fact, lots of blank stares and vague answers when you ask them questions. Equivalent to a 2-3-star hotel concierge service. Delayed follow-up and last minute notifications for important deadlines, instructions and documents due for moving in. For example, our move in date/time was a Thursday at 9AM and we received an email from Allure management on Tuesday night with list of items due the night before move in. This left us scrambling at the last minute. Property is pretty and common areas are very nice. Really pretty pool and gym, close proximity to grocery stores and restaurants. Most of the other tenants are in transition (temp residents looking for permnemt housing) and very nice. Corporate apartments are ok. I wouldn’t place high-level executives or senior managers in these corporate apartments and if you do confirm their neighbors aren’t hard partying night owls.

Well, well well. It used to be a decent place to live...I was the first tenant to move in and still living here. Allure is supposed to be luxury living. However, since under new management by VillageGreen, its the complete opposite! The outside furniture at the pool area is dirty and mold is, growing on the chairs, the carpet in the hallway stinks and needs to be shampooed! Just to name a few. Multiple tenants have moved out due to these living conditions. These concerns have been expressed to VillageGreen (headquarter management) and the problem still exists. The new staff and management are LOW LIFES with the exception of Maintenance and Celeste. When expressing my concerns to Sara and Nikki they seem to have an I dont care - cant be bothered attitude and just want to dismiss the situation instead of finding a resolution.THIS IS NOT LUXURY LIVING and I regret moving here. Therefore, I will not be renewing my contract as other tenants will be moving out as well.

Nice property. Very noisy. No difference in regards to the noise between this property and another one at half of the price. You can hear a lot of noise from the neighbors. You hear all possible noises. The concierge does not do anything about that.

I dont recommend living here. I was there for 2 years, they are the nicest people ever until you sign your lease. Then its all about how they can nickel and dime you without any customer service whatsoever. They offer a referral bonus, so I took advantage and convinced one of my friends to sign a lease. Conveniently, they were only able to offer a portion of it due to a mis-quote. They do not value your business, management is always changing, and the customer service is non-existent after day 1. I have a handful of other examples of how they find ways to take more of your money without ever taking ownership themselves. For the hefty price they charge, look elsewhere!

My wife and Is experience at Allure has far exceeded our expectation. Everything from the timely maintenance, to the beautiful apartments, its prime location, as well as the quality and attention to detail (JLB designed a great complex). Ivan, Nikki, Blake and the whole staff are very attentive and truly care about making your experience second to none!

Best apartment community in Southpark! Great location, not on a busy main road yet easy access to Park, Fairview and Sharon roads. Walking distance to restaurants and shops in Piedmont Row & Southpark Mall. Friendly and attentive staff. Maintenance issues addressed quickly. Many resident events add to friendly community feel. Upscale living lifestyle at its best!

This is the worst apartment building in Charlotte to try to make deliveries to. Literally 20 mins trying to get into the building and call box doesn’t work. What’s the point of having a front desk if no one works it.

I used to love it here but now they raised my rent $70 a month on a studio apartment after living here for 2 years and I have 2 weeks to decide even though my lease isn’t up till September. This is highly stressful. This is right after I had a resident on my floor try to break into my apartment twice. I am shocked, my perspective did a complete 180 on this place. Even after that creepy incident I still wanted to stay and they only seem to want to run me out. That is not how you treat a loyal resident who didn’t even stay in their apartment for about a month because they did not offer anything to make me feel safer after someone tried to force their way on in my apartment. I am very disappointed in the way I was treated here and would not recommend due to these issues.
