They don’t know how to shape, cut nails evenly or polish with gel polish that they’re charging 50 bucks for. I went back twice to get them fixed and my nails are still horrible! I’ll never go here again!

Honestly one of the WORST places Ive gotten my nails done. The people are nice dont get me wrong, but there nails are horrible! There was glue all over my hands and she cut them too short when i asked for a longer shape. She put the wrong color on and refused to change it. Will not be going back!!

I have had my nails done several times at #1 Nails in Champaign and they always do a fantastic job! They are friendly, offer advice on nails color when asked, and give a great shoulder massage while my nails are drying. Highly recommended!

After 17 years of faithful patronage I had to make the HARDEST DECISION to sever ties last week with my nail technician and salon for feeling disrespected and unappreciated. In the past I have enjoyed it being my home nail salon, receiving quality care and service. However, I am now in search of a more welcoming salon that I dont have to go into stealth mode or covert operation just to book an appointment. I never thought I would have to leave under these circumstances, however, Im glad I choose to leave rather than being asked not to return.

Tammy always gets me together. She even comes in on her off days so she can take her time with my sets. She hasn’t steered me wrong yet and I always get sooo many compliments.

Unfortunately been going here 21 years n I wont be going back.

I recommend going in the evenings. Went for a pedicure a couple days ago and came out with bruises from how rough the guy was. The girls are better and are there in the evenings. The manicures are amazing and the polish stays on for longer than expected.

So family friendly here. They do GREAT eyebrow wax and their pedicures are to die for with oils and warm stones.

Worst Salon Experience:I went in to get my eyebrows done. I repeatedly said I didnt want them thin (even tried to show her a picture of me from a few weeks ago) She said okay.She made them extra thin anyway and insisted that she did a good job because my eyebrows before were too fat. She later admitted she didnt know how to do them how I wanted and stopped trying to make me pay. If you couldnt do it you shouldve let me go to someone who could. I wont be returning.

(1) The nail artist was constantly on her phone - She FaceTimed two people, called one person, and was texting during my appointment. This did not make for a relaxing experience and it extended the time I was there significantly. (2) I was pursuaded into getting dip since they told me it lasts longer (3-4 weeks). Nope. I had a major chip 3 days after getting them done and now a massive crack in another 8 days after. I got them done before a trip so there is no way for me to go back to get them redone right now. I would not recommend going here at all.

I have been there twice for mani-pedi, and was treated like a goddess. I will be going back as soon as possible. I had a different person each time and they were both wonderful. Love Number 1 Nails.

I must have swung by on a busy day because I waited almost an hour before I was seen. When I finally did get my nails done, they were painless and beautiful.

I have been going here since 2012, and have always been pleased with the price and work done.

DO NOT go here for acrylic/gel nails. I gave this place a second chance but both times I have been here, my nails have been left extremely bumpy and crooked by a different nail tech each time.

Price is a little higher, but overall the job was adequate.

In a rush skinned my cuticles a few times. But switched techs and that help a little

I got acrylic nails done and after 3 days they were falling off day after day i kept having to get them fixed i did not like the service they gave me either very disrespectful i will never get my nails done here ever again.

The man who did my nails didn’t paint them evenly enough the sides of my nails weren’t painted the nail polish was bumpy on some nails the only thing I like was the nail design

Pedicure was long and rough. Polish started peeling the next day. Within 3 days, I had to remove polish it looked so bad. Id look elsewhere before going back.
