Dont Do It!I have been living here for a total of 3 months and have had numerous issues with appliances which the apartment complex refuses to compensate me for. Until a few weeks ago we did not have FUNCTIONING A/C in our unit. Keep in mind that during some of these days the outside weather reached over 100 degrees F and we had a faulty A/C unit. Cool air would come out but it would get nowhere near the temperature we set it to. During one day it broke down entirely and he had to live in a boiling apartment until they came in with a portable A/C unit. During this time we asked that we be put up in a hotel nearby or at leas compensated for our living condition. However we have still not been compensated for this.A little while back our refrigerator broke and our entire stock of food was spoiled ($100s of dollars worth had to be thrown out). Finally after 3 weeks we got a replacement fridge only to find that this one was also fault and leaked water all over our kitchen and laundry room flooding the entire area on a daily basis.I have still not heard any word from management regarding compensation for both our lack of a/c as well as our fridge issues. They continued sending out the maintenance guy who was very kind but didnt know what he was doing when it came to certain situations. They should have called the people who ACTUALLY work for the A/C company and replaced our fridge LONG ago instead of trying to patch things up.They keep avoiding me e-mails regarding compensation for these multiple issues which is incredibly rude and impolite. In all, save your money and dont live here unless you want to deal with appliances breaking down and unresponsive management
7/20/21: Adding one star. 7/16/21 - Maintenance came and fixed the majority of my issues. Caulking and shower head replaced/cleaned. The goop was a combination of the filter and calcium. The property manager has followed up and I appreciate her for doing so.7/7/2021: Notified office, still nothing fixed.7/3/2021: First posting after living here for 1 month and 2 days. Happy to update if the below issues are resolved.I have been wanting to get serious about building/buying a house for quite some time, but have lacked the motivation. Boy-oh-boy! The motivation has surely been found. At this point, I cannot wait to no longer live here. When I toured the model, everything seemed fine. Its cute but small. More dated than I am used to. But I am on a mission to purchase a home and this will only be temporary. How bad could it be? Its an apartment in Cary. Its supposed to be nice here, right? Wrong. The Tour:The Assistant Property Manager (henceforth APM) showed me the model. While there, I asked about the size of the laundry room (closet). Whether or not if it could fit a truly full-sized washer and dryer, as it seemed slightly small. I mentioned that my washer and dryer, in my mind, seemed bigger than the models versions, and I wasnt sure theyd fit accordingly. I was assured its a full-sized location and we should have no issues. The remainder of the tour was pretty standard. Furniture placed well. The unit was clean. I could picture myself living here. Theres a special if I apply the same day of touring, so I wanted to take full advantage and pull the trigger. Standard story, applied, approved, pre-move-in process begins...Pre Move-In:I was set to move in on June 1st. Hurray!I was communicating solely with the APM at this point. She was very nice and friendly. I had no reason to have issues with her. Anything I was asked of, I provided. I am a very thorough person and I try to be very respectful of peoples time. I assume everyone is just as thorough and thoughtful as well...Knowing that the unit is smaller than I am used to, I wanted to be provided with the dimensions of the unit. This way, I could ensure all of my furniture would fit comfortably. I was never provided this information. After following up a few days later, I was told this information is still being located, but I am welcome to come and see the model again. I requested to see an empty unit instead. After all, there has to be an empty unit, right? Apparently, wrong. I was told that there were no empty units I could see. And was then again recommended to take a second look at the model. Looking back now, I think they wanted to prevent me from seeing more of the property as it is grimy, full of pests, and borderline run-down.Ultimately, I came and saw the model once again. Fine. Though inconvenient, and not at all what I asked for... it was not enough to leave me fleeing for another complex.Later, I sent a few emails with pre-move-in questions. During these conversations, I asked the APM, how do I go about ensuring that my unit doesnt have a washer/dryer in it, as I am bringing my own. I was promptly told, by the same person who toured the model with me, that I was not allowed to remove the washer/dryer. That was quite annoying as I could have potentially sold my set had I known. I would have also taken that into consideration as I love my GE Front Load washer and dryer. It does an excellent job of cleaning. I am able to fit king-sized comforters as well as XL dog beds in them. I can no longer do this. Im still not understanding how there could have been a disconnect here as I had a conversation with the APM during the tour about my washer/dryer set. She apologized and I tried to be understanding as I was set to move in less than a week.**character limit*** will continue as pictures. They are numbered in their caption.
The WORST experience I have ever had with an apartment. The original management was great, but new management is terrible. They never answer calls or return messages, but when you walk in the office, they are sitting around doing nothing. My first issue was when I had 5 men from Giggify bang on my door and say they needed to come in to my apartment to install a new system. I had NO idea this was being done. I had NO emails or letters and told the men that. They said they had been hearing this but they had to do it today so I had to call out of work for the rest of the afternoon because I work from home and they were extremely loud drilling in the wall.I have also lost 3 packages (if not more) at this complex. One time, FedEx told me they delivered it to the front office, I emailed the office and they said they had it. I went to the office and without even looking, the lady (Amanda I believe) said we dont have any packages in the office. I said ... you emailed that you had it and what do you know, she magically found it! Disturbing.I moved out of the complex about a month ago and still have friends there. I have heard nothing but terrible things about the complete lack of awareness and concern with residents not being told about the new parking pass situation. As you can see, they are beyond rude and unprofessional in the MULTIPLE reviews about this which is concerning in itself.I have other issues that they are aware of with my final account balance being completely messed up and confusing, but they know this already. I used to love this complex, but if I were someone new coming in, I would stay far far away from a place that has reviews like this place does ALL concerning management. This should be a point of reflection for new management when they see the dozens of reviews about them specifically.
PLEASE take the time to read this review. This is a situation where I feel obligated to inform people before they decide to live here. Parking at Braxton Cary Weston Apartments has been a nightmare for me. Finding a parking spot has been consistently difficult as many of the spots are taken up by “optional” garage parking in which they punish you for not buying by not having enough available parking spots. Additionally, there’s temporary dumpsters that take up more parking spots within the complex which makes parking even harder. I recently parked in a no parking lane (which I know is unlawful) but there was nowhere else to park in the immediate vicinity. I called Braxton Weston Apartments and her solution was to “find a different spot somewhere else in the apartment complex.” This is fair, but it was 11:30 at night and I consistently see people driving fast within the apartment complex so I didn’t feel safe walking that late at night. It would have been different if it was during the day. I’m not elderly, but would they ask an elderly person to walk that far at night? I, along with a few other people who were parked on this strip of road, had to pay 150 dollars to get a boot removed. Currently I didn’t see any signs requiring people to have a parking pass which means if someone decides to have people over, they can take up a lot of parking spots (an argument which the tow truck driver told me himself). Lastly, both sides of the road have no parking zone lines! I assume these are fire lanes, but it’s a two lane road. Are you gonna tell me an emergency vehicle needs to have both sides of the road if there’s a fire? It’s private property. They can set it up how they choose. However, in my opinion it is set up to make extra money as I’m sure they have some sort of agreement with the towing company (but not 100% sure). Lawfully, I have no argument as I was in the wrong. Morally, Braxton Weston had horrible customer service regarding this issue. Due to Coronavirus I have been in some financial hardship. Thank you Braxton West for taking money from hard-working individuals post-pandemic as they try to repair their lives.
Great location but since management changed it has gone down hill. Getting a hold of anyone at the office is a struggle and they just keep adding more and more fees. Also not an aesthetically pleasing place anymore. Woodchip piles everywhere and recent tree work was done very sloppy.
My calls are never returned. Maintenance requests have been consistently ignored and communication is utter trash at this place.I’m eager for my lease to end.
We didn’t receive a letter in the mail about the new parking permits which resulted in people having to spend money they didn’t have to take boots off their cars and towing. But we received an letter in the mail about their app called NEXTDOOR…. I’m starting to believe the rumors about Braxton apartments having ownership in the towing company they had towing residents cars.
This apartment complex have a huge roach and insect problem, and Water leakage on the walls. And the front office are extremely rude, I have been unhappy living here since the new management took over. The parking is horrible and they enforce new rules without warning. Having residents cars towed and putting boots on cars of residents who pay rent here is horrible I cant believe whats going on here. If your reading this DONT MOVE HERE. I could write a four page essay on the issues I have been having living here.
The first unit I toured had sticky floors, a strong unpleasant odor, overall cleanliness was not there. The second apartment I toured was not good either. A terrible paint job on the cabinets and sloppy marks throughout the place. The lightbulb in the bathroom flickered on and off as soon as I turned the switch on. You could easily tell that the apartment is charging for renovated rent without ACTUALLY renovating the place. Bad job at just simply trying to cover old stuff up. Leasing agent barely talked at all and made me feel super uncomfortable and I felt like I was a bother....even though I scheduled an appointment in advance. I live two and a half hours away and I am so glad I had the opportunity to see this place in person before signing my life away. Would’ve been extremely upset.
The apartment walls are extremely thin and some units are outdated. I would not recommend these apartment. If you are looking for a modern apartment these are not it.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. TRUST ME, MY LEASE IS ENDING SOON AND I CANT WAIT TO CELEBRATE. THE STAFF, AND EMPLOYEES IN THE LEASING OFFICE ARE COMPLETE PEONS. I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS EVER SINCE THEY CHANGED THE NAME AND MANAGEMENT OF THIS PLACE. I SEEN A LOT OF CARS WITH BOOTS ON THEM AND HEARD ABOUT PEOPLE GETTING THEIR CARS TOWED FOR NOT HAVING A PARKING PERMIT THAT NOBODY KNEW ABOUT. THESE IDIOTS SENT OUT AN EMAIL, NOT A LETTER OR NOTE, OR PHONE CALL, AN EMAIL. THE ONLY REASON MY CAR DIDNT GET A BOOT OR TOWED IS BECAUSE A NEIGHBOR TOLD ME WHY EVERYONE IS GETTING BOOTS. COMPLETE UNPROFESSIONALS HERE.
I have been living here for 3 years and I pay $50 a month for parking and we never had parking permits but out of no where without a letter in the mail or on the car door, or the apartments to inform everyone about the new parking permits they just start towing residents cars and they don’t pay the towing fee. Braxton apartments are incompetent and unprofessional. I will never recommend living here.
I visited Braxton apartments and was extremely disappointed and disgusted with the bathrooms and bugs I seen in the corners of the walls of the apartment they showed me and my wife. And after checking the recent reviews I’m glad I didn’t move here.
Have lived in this community for a while now. The previous management Hudson Cary were very supportive, especially Samanth, Jannet & the maintenance team . The amenities we enjoy are the tennis court and the easy access to the greenway trail. Hope the current management Braxton - FAC group will be considerate and supportive.
Predatory Rent Collection PracticesI was charged $90 in late fees ($65 late fee + $25 nsf fee) for a mistake in typing in my account number. The payment was made on the 4th and I was led to believe (by both the Confirmation Number i received and the immediate change to $0 balance on the payment portal) that the payment was accepted. Apparently neither of those mean that my payment was accepted. I was also NEVER notified that the payment failed. I contacted the office after the payment had not come out of my bank account 8 days after i submitted it (to be fair- I was told after i called the office that they were planning to notify me that day - 8 days and $90 in fees later). I was told that although i did submit my payment before the 5th that they did not attempt to withdraw it until the 6th, so again it was my fault that it was late, and that to avoid this in the future i should pay even further ahead in advance of the due date. Again, in the interest of fairness, i will say that the manager was very polite and patient while explaining to me why i was at fault and why they refused to waive the late fee. The assistant manager was not.
Fast and smooth move in and no hassles in the whole signing process. The office staff is super helpful and responsive and life is peaceful!
Since Wednesday, cant on because walls cut open because of water leakage, suction machines loud noise, could not be able to sleep. Its now 5 the night without sleep.walls not repaired, root cause not treated, walls still moist.water bill huge.,most probable because water is leaking.1500 rent for 2 bedroom in this old community with so many issues, roaches coming inside apartment from those holes in walls. Its hell
It’s about that time :( I wish I would’ve had a longer lease. Such an amazing apartment complex, wonderful staff and a great customer service. I’ve stayed in this apartment for six months now while I was re-purchasing a home. I’ve love the apartment, the gym is fantastic and so convenient it’s even better than one of the membership jams and also the pool can’t miss the pool in the summer or the patios; massive patios etc. I can keep talking all day about this and it won’t be enough. I definitely recommend this apartment and I wish there is more than five stars to give. The people at the office are so amazing especially Samantha, Keli and Jeanette they are always helpful. I have a very busy schedule and I’m always on the go and they were so flexible with me with my timing to meet my needs. Such a good team! At the end I would like to say thank you so much to all of you for the customer service, quick response, unlimited helps that made my stay as easy as it can be. I honestly felt like a family member not just a resident. THANK YOU!
Just moved in this year and so far I am enjoying my experience here. Their is new management for the apartment complex and the renovations they are doing is looking really good. The pool looks awesome, the gym is super nice one of the biggest ones Ive seen compared to other small ones in different apartments. The staff is super nice and very responsive to your issues. Super convenient area for shopping or going to work or downtown. Overall I enjoy it here and have met a lot of new people that are nice and fun to hangout with.
I have no complaints. The apartments are beautiful, the staff are friendly, the gym and pool area are top-notch (best that Ive seen in an apartment complex). Great location. I would highly recommend.
10 People living above me and they do nothing but stomp all day and night! They have a dog that scratches at the floor all night, it’s almost impossible to sleep. Reported this and nothing has yet to be done. Pay to much money here to have to go through this. Can’t wait to leave this place this month. Dont bother to complain to the office because nothing will be done! My advice to anyone looking for a place would be to pass this one by. Nothing will be done when u complain. 10 or more Mexicans living above me, Throw their trash off the balcony, stomp so hard u can feel your bed shake. It’s to the point to where I want to call the police because of the noise. It’s to many people living there and they have no regards to who live under them. Lived here over a year and was happy until these people moved in. I feel sorry for the next people who move into this apartment. I’m trying to reach out to the owner of this property
My apartment is perfect for me. I have washer and dryer, ice maker and a nice patio/deck area. The pool is nice, the gym for a good workout. Computer area and lounging area. You cant ask for more than that.
Very nice and pleasant community with an efficient maintenance team. pool and gym area are excellent and of the highest quality. Admin team is very responsible, Keli(Property Manager) and Samantha are very friendly and helpful.
Best staff and management of all places I have lived. Keli, Jeanette and Samantha and the maintenance staff are great. The amenities are great, but they make community and treat all with respect, at all times, even when they are mistreated as staff. They helped a disabled guy get into the apartment even when the odds were against him. They fixed issues the previous property left behind.... etc..
The staff are the most helpful and professional group I have ever worked with. The residents either keep to themselves or offer help if needed. I feel safe and comfortable at my new home! Thank you
My husband and I have lived here for over 2 years. We have never experienced any problems. So clean!! I have yet to ever see pests. The apartments are beautiful (we have a 2 bedroom) we are always complimented on how beautiful our apartment is. Very quiet, you cannot hear your neighbors. Maintenance is always quick if there is any issue. The grounds are always so well maintained. The front desk staff are very nice people and have always gone above and beyond to help me. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. We plan to stay and raise our now 8 month old daughter for quite some time.
I have been living at this complex for almost two months and I have had nothing but pleasant experiences. Any time I have a maintenance issue it is fixed promptly by a kind staff member. The grounds are very well kept and I am in a convenient neighborhood where I feel safe and welcomed. My dog Scooby and I like to walk around the complex and we are always met by kind neighbors and members of the staff. I have lived in a lot of apartments over the past few years and this is the best by far. The apartment itself is beautiful and I feel very lucky to call Cary Reserve at Weston my home!
After living there for close to 2 years and now having moved to an apartment complex in a different neighborhood with marginally higher rent (3-4%) I am getting a much better quality - apartment (inside and outside) and community cleanliness compared to Westover. The office staff of where i live now is very friendly, does not ignore and follow up well to make sure that we are satisfied. The less said about Westover office staff, the better. But going back to Westover hills apartments to visit friends now seems like visiting a very untidy apartment community. I dont know why i lived there for 2 years. Good that i moved for better.
Shut down the residential portal when our rent was due and made no accommodations while only giving a two day notice.
What a beautiful community. Lovely apartments, well maintained property, great gym and pool was more than adequate. The staff was so polite and helpful.....we worked with Amber and she was the whole package. Professional, pleasant and listened to our needs true customer service. I visited many apartment complexs in the area and this one hit all the marks.
Really good customer service, people are great here. After the new management the upgrades have been wonderful. Just redid the pool and it looks amazing!
Very friendly and helpful staff. The apartment complex is constantly improving amenities and renovating. I have had a great experience living here.
The staff has been fantastic so far! They have been extremely accommodating and helpful every step of the way! When I moved in and found out my washing machine was having an issue, the maintenance staff came by around midnight to check out what was going on. After discovering I would need a new washer, they had it delivered and installed in 3 days. I had asked them about a few things related to the apartment in the few days before I moved in and they took care of all of them without any hesitation! Cary Reserve at Weston and its staff have treated me fantastic so far and I have loved living here. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!
Staff is always friendly. We had a horrible leak in the middle of the night and maintenance called within 5 minutes to help us out. Things are always fixed quickly. The grounds are always clean. I feel very safe in our complex. They redid the pool and its beautiful! Theyre is a very large gym (very important to my famy) that I call a mini golds gym. The apartments are on the older side but they look and feel wonderful. Glad to call it home. Just be prepared that there is limited parking. Unless you want to pay for a parking spot you will have to park at the club house and walk a quarter of a mile to your apartment in the dark .not ideal. Hopefully they fogifi out for to fix that or to regulate who can park where.
I love my apartment here. This complex is quiet, well-designed and has great landscaping/ natural areas. My balcony has a view of the treetops, which I love. Maintenance issues are usually fixed the day I submit them, and the staff is responsive and friendly when I contact them. In addition to Greenway access we have a playground, tennis courts, fantastic gym and beautiful pool. Location is perfect, downtown Raleigh is 20 minutes away, and I-40/RDU is Next exit...
I have asthma. The apartment has been kicking out heat instead of air for two days. I have had to cancel my housewarming and house blessing plans. Maintenance is wonderful and has gone above and beyond to assist me, but the old HVAC system is not properly communicating with the new thermostat. The old dryer had to run on seven cycles to properly dry a medium load of clothes. This will impact my electric bill. The bathtub has mix matched paint, dirty grout almond grout and a rim of dirt left from previous tenants that will not come out. I had a crew come to help, but could not get it clean enough to be suitable for a bath.Management was notified of all concerns as of yesterday. I have asthma. This is not what I expected for nearly $1100 (one bedroom)Update After Owner Response:Why are you deflecting to make my concerns about rate of repair? There should be no repairs upon move-in in a unit that was promised to be fully remodeled. If were discussing rate of repair... Do you need the people that were here on the first day to come and write a review as witness that it was not immediately repaired? Or should I post the messages asking if the AC was repaired the previous day? He attempted to repair it. Again... maintenance is amazing. This has nothing to do with maintenance. I was told that I would be receiving a fully remodeled apartment with no issues. I did not receive that. It was my own fault for basing my decision off of pictures, but you could have done your part to fully correct the discrepancies, instead of making an inadequate attempt at gaslighting. Moving in from out of town and not being able to take time off and travel in left me to rely on the word of your staff. Yes, the 80% of the home that was remodeled is absolutely wonderful. But, were not discussing that part. The dryer ran on ALL three cycles, not just fluff. Just as the air is mix-matched, I assumed the old dryer may have had its wires crossed as well. I unplugged it and let it sit for a while and cleaned the lint out that was embedded deep in the lint compartment hole. Maintenance cleaned the rest of it out. If the unit was fully remodeled, why have vents, fixtures, washer and dryer models from the 90s? He tried to fix it the first night and it returned to malfunctioning a few hours later. The HvAC unit is old, the thermostat is new.Honesty would repair the issue more than yet another name change or attempt to belittle the customers honest experience. The same message is echoing throughout the reviews from tenants that do not know each other. At what point do you (as you said) stop automatically jumping on the defense (instead of listening with sincerity) and use the information to better the community, together? Look at ALL the residents as people, not quotas. You cant be afraid of performing a SWOT analysis. That takes maturity though.I attempted to speak with office staff immediately before my frustration escalated and was put off, spoken to in a condescending manner, lied to, and passive-aggressively threatened to have my lease terminated. That isnt what you do when you have a customer with valid issue, and THEN begrudgingly address the problems. I am having someone to come and manage my final issues with the place. Small to you, huge to me because I live here.
I do not live here, but went to tour and received terrible customer service. I called the day before I intended to tour and was told I did not need a reservation and that they closed at six. My roommate and I arrived at 5:25 and was told they did not do tours after 5:30 and that 5:25 was too close, but that 5:20 would have been fine...Someone else who worked there walked up and asked if we had a reservation (so apparently you can tour after 5:30 with a reservation?) but when I explained that I called and was told I did not need one, was told sorry. Not a good sign that they treat potential residents with such poor service....
Samantha is hands down the nicest community rep I have ever dealt with
The first week we moved in, there were TERMITES that appeared out of nowhere onto the kitchen table, their wings fell. They annoyed us for a few weeks then disappeared. They said maintenance would take care of it from the outside of the building, but not sure if they ever did. There were also roaches. And I kept my place spotless at all times. The toilets kept overflowing, even when there was hardly any toilet paper in there. The neighbor upstairs stomped his feet or threw things and yelled at the top of his lungs to his wife and kid every day and night. Walls are so thin we heard every argument, cough, sneeze, snore, TV, and cabinet close. Poor insulation causes mold, condensation, a draft and higher electricity bills. Since parking isnt assigned, there was never any parking. We were pressured into renting a garage. The pool wasnt kept up with or clean and the hot tub was under construction for a year. The rent is too high and not worth it. You might as well get a house with a mortgage payment for the same amount (or less) that they charge for rent there.
Just wanted to give a shout out to the Community Manager, Keli. I had an issue with another Bell property and Keli took the time out of her day to completely resolve my issue (with the quickness!), even though it had nothing to do with the community she manages. Thank you for your outstanding customer service, Keli!
Staff are incredibly helpful, the renovations are beautiful, and looking out onto the gorgeous woods and greenway? Can’t beat it!
Im not sure why the ratings here are so low. I dont see any problems. I think maybe this place had bad management before but since then has been changed. They sometimes hand out free Chik-fil-a for work and they seem to care about their tenants.
This apartment complex is a nightmare and you should avoid it at all costs! I have had only problems since moving in and the staff has been unhelpful and unfriendly. In my lease it states subleasing options but corporate wont allow me to. The neighbor above us is running around and working at all hours of the night, and I had to vacate within 1-month of moving in. When I informed the apartment of his disruptive behavior and our immediate health symptoms they didnt even apologize or acknowledge it. Theyve given no helpful options other than a pricey 60-day notice in addition to 2 months rent... and are tacking fees on left and right. They will squeeze every penny and dont care about you once the lease is signed. Do not choose this apartment or Bell apartments in general.
Been living at Cary reserve for at least a year. Brand new management has done an outstanding job. In rehabilitation the building.
ROACHES everywhere. They spray but it does nothing. STAY AWAY, it looks nice from the outside but is gross and the management is terrible, very rude. They dont care that my toddler has brought me cockroaches in her hand... Im trying to get out of this lease!
Pros:The apartments themselves (on the inside) are beautiful. At the time, the rent price was really good and I loved the way the light filled the apartment during the day. It also had more than 1 storage unit, and that was really awesome. The apartment was one of the biggest I ever lived in, and was a good value for the rent price (at the time). The neighborhood is pretty safe.Cons:The maintenance was bad. I mean, monumentally bad. Not so much the response time, but the fact that the maintenance folks didnt know what they were doing.I had to call them to fix my HVAC (summer and winter) about 8 (no lie) times, and they never were able to fix it. I called upset once about it, and the guy yelled at me (talk about lack of customer service). I really think they have people working on the A/C with zero certification in HVAC work, based on how they cant actually successfully fix them.I also like to cook, and once they I had someone from the office relay a complaint from the upstairs neighbor that they didnt like the smell of my cooking! I dont like eating out everyday like everyone else. I was really offended by that. I felt like saying if you dont want to smell food from a neighbor, go buy a single family home or something, its not like I smoke in the apartment. The office staff also doesnt do anything when you complain. All they try to do is get through the day, but when you try and relay a complaint to management, nothing happens. I constantly would go to the office person to ask for the property manager, and they were never there.I also echo the parking issues. I fairly regularly had to park near the clubhouse and walk like a quarter mile or more to my apartment.Overall:Ive heard they are under new management now, so maybe things are better (?) now. To me, the biggest issue was the maintenance staff was rude and didnt know how to fix anything HVAC related. If they have fixed that issue, the place is livable and nice. Otherwise, youre better off paying a few % more somewhere else.
I hate leaving negative reviews and am the first to write positive ones for those who deserve it, but wow. This past year has been hell. I went into this lease with a friend and we walked through the apartment with a staff member who told us misinformation and misquoted prices. When we went to sign the lease the next day, we were told the upgraded appliances would be extra and the rent was significantly higher than he had quoted. When we argued this point, the staff member claimed we were lying. This same staff member later told me that if this didnt work out I could move into HIS apartment with him!! I was extremely uncomfortable, being a single young woman signing onto my first lease. We complained, but I cant be sure anything was done as this staff member was there throughout my lease and continued to be awkward throughout my stay. The gym is located in the leasing office and I eventually stopped going during business hours because I didnt want to walk by him in my gym shorts. Speaking of the gym, visitors were not allowed in the gym without paying $50 (yes FIFTY!!!) to use!! This is ridiculous, my sister stayed with me for two weeks over the summer and was absolutely astonished she couldnt just use a treadmill for 30 minutes. Maintenance was great when and if they received the service request, which was roughly every 4th or 5th time we called for service. We paid for the upgraded appliances and each and every one of them had an issue during our stay - the dishwasher never truly worked until after 8 months, I finally threw a fit and demanded the Whirlpool company actually come out to take a look! Lastly, the rent was reportedly increased due to the new jacuzzi, but I never once got to use it because it was closed until December. I enjoyed the actual apartment and the location. The amenities were great and the apartment was beautiful and felt like home, close to the interstate, work, and restaurants, plus the great running trails... but in the end, not worth it. Overall, the staff seemed dishonest, disinterested, and incompetent.
I lived here for 2 years. My experience of dealing with the office bearers especially some folks who I dont want to name was really horrible. I find that they are all smiles when you move in and once you are there they will treat you very differently. Overall the apartments are also quite old and need a lot of frequent maintenance - both on the outside and inside.. Maintenance was good when we moved in but good folks left this place as a result maintainence requests are handled as if they are doing a favor on us. There are a lot of pets in this community..in fact these apartments are advertized as pet friendly but they dont maintain the cleanliness that should go with it. Dog poop and urine smell is everywhere. On Saturday evenings wild parties by the pool where apparently smoke and liquor is permitted. They have a huge park that is grossly undermaintained. The kids play area is covered in dirt and cobwebs. Hopefully after reading this review they may get it cleaned.
Insects and Rats are big problem in the apartment. Pest control is not proper and everytime they cut the grass you have to clear your Patio, because it will all be dust and grass cuts...Many time theft and Burglary happened in the community in the last 2 years, but not taken any step so far, atleast install surveillance camera to a bare minimal in some common parking lots. Looking to move out this year of the community once the current lease term ends.
Emailed for info ... no response. Their website says their office closes at 6pm. Called at 5:45pm. The automated message said they were closed. Moving on!
Maintenance was shifty. Took 5 sessions to fix an AC sound problem which in turn caused the electric to skyrocket to $800 in one month. Mngmt blamed it on us instead of seeing this was never a problem before the AC was repaired. Problem was resolved in the next fix and took a month to be credited for the insane bill that had to be paid. Maintenance workers were found sleeping in emptied apts, cars in the parking lots which caused concern for safety. Possible under the table workers. 2 roommates emailed and spoke face to face with mngmt about other multiple problems and were never given real answers o those concerns until months later. Great place to live, horrible mngmt.
I did not even give 1 star. This apartment has mouse problem. Had faced lot of struggle.
Not bad at all
Horrible uncaring and dishonest staff. My car was stolen from their parking lot and due to that I fell a little behind on rent because my husband couldnt get to work and they refused to allow me to pay any amount of money if it wasnt the full amount. They evicted me and billed me close to 6k. Stay away!
