Almost a year here and loving it more and more. What a community!

Ive lived in the complex for many years! Management has changed hands a few times, butAll have been very pleasant to work with! The grounds are kept up nicely, and the amenities areAll updated! Alot of the faces have changed in theCommunity, but mostly very pleasant!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Made getting settled and moved in easy. Everything is clean and well lit. The maintenance team is polite and friendly. Love the online payment system.

Definitely love my apartment! But still not over the fact that they took our money for a pet fee and excepted our application, and after being there barely a week they informed us that our dog was in fact not allowed on the property and we had to leave the property or get rid of our dog. Now this is after taking our baby to the vet to get a check up and finding out that she has cancer which was in the beginning stages and could be maintained with medication.Then on top of that we started receiving emails about trash being put on the side of the dumpsters, but when we sent a email about our trash not being picked up they said we had to contact the number on the trash bins. I wasn’t a fan of old management and I’m not a fan of the new management either!

I’m from the suburbs of New York, having relocated to Cary six months before the Pandemic, and I can say with confidence that Amberwood at Lochmere is an absolute pleasure !!It’s not just that it’s quaint, wooden two-story structures offer an ambiance of relaxation - it’s like a mini retreat - all the recent esthetic renovations have stepped up its appeal - coupled with what appears to be a vast diversity of residents - I love it !!And now that the COVID restrictions have been lifted, albeit we still must remain vigilant, I’m looking forward to bonding with the town of Cary, and my cute apartment here at Amberwood.Make note that the courteous, competent staff here at Amberwood is the “icing on the cake.”

I was at Amberwood at Lochmere from March of 2019 until early April 2021 . I would still be there if not for a job change. Geophraphically the place is a paradise ... beautiful landscape that sits next to a greenway, great dog park, nice pool and tennis court, and is near several parks for kids. The maintenance guys are on top of their game .. the example I give is when my ac unit ran out of freon the morning of Labor Day 2020. I left a message on the answering service, the guy called and then arrived at my unit in 15 minutes (yes, 15 minutes the morning of Labor Day). He had my freon filled up in less than an hour. The manager service is professional, intelligent, and most important of all .. truthfully cares about the tenants and their concerns. I would highly recommend Amberwood .. Great place to live!

I just moved in almost a month ago and I absolutely love this place. Its quiet, they have tons of amenties, and any issues you have they respond promptly.

I lived at Amberwood for over two years. Our first year was great, but when new management took over, things went down the drain. I could see the effort they put in to address some negative reviews here, like food trucks and renovations, but the customer service was terrible. I care much more about how I am treated as a person rather than the shiny new grills and pavilions.I had a mouse problem due to shoddy workmanship and cheap appliances. there was a giant hole behind my stove, and despite my request for help and the pest control employees request, it took WEEKS for them to send someone. meanwhile I was cleaning up mouse droppings every day.My boyfriend and I took vacation for a few days, and when we got back, his car had been towed. Its not like there was a shortage on spots either!Lastly, be careful with this place. They wont send you a curtesy email about giving 60 days notice. I actually had a broker from ANOTHER property ask my why I hadnt given notice yet. I ended up paying rent for another 11 days after I was expected to be out of the place. The office manager was just shy of rude when I sent an email and asked to discuss with her.Overall, if you want to be treated kindly or like a person and not a number, I do not recommend living here.In the response to the below comment. Please stop lying. I addressed all these concerns in an email BEFORE posting a negative review. All of my concerns were refuted or ignored. You are just trying to protect your reputation.

My brother and I moved in to Amberwood a little over a year ago and are thrilled to live somewhere we feel safe and comfortable. We have both had excellent experiences with most of the new staff, with just a few hiccups regarding packages that were easily resolved. My only complaint is that the new management company raised the rent at their first opportunity. While this is normal for management companies to do, I would urge them to please keep this place affordable for residents. Amberwood is a phenomenal place to live especially for people who cannot afford luxury apartments. At the end of the day, five stars are easily awarded to Amberwood! 😊

This community is awesome, their activities to keep people connected are very nice. Their office and maintenance staff is amazing, they really go the extra mile to take care of your needs. If you add how nice and quiet the area is, you really cant go wrong. I would recommend this community all day long. Thank you guys🤗😉

Love the apartment! There’s a lot of unfairness, like making you get rid of your beautiful Pitbull, but yet you see other tenants with Pitbulls!!!!

TLDR: The management lied to me about my apartment furnishings and towed my car without contacting me first.When I moved in, I agreed to not tour the apartment trusting that management was being honest when they told me the apartment I would be renting was the same as the display model. This was a lie. The display apartment had a fire place and I specifically asked if my unit would also have a fireplace and I was told it would.I renewed my vehicle registration online and the sticker did not come in the mail. Considering the pandemic going on, I figured this wouldnt matter that much because I could still prove my vehicle was legal.Management, however, notified me via sticker on my car window on Friday that my car would be towed on Monday. The notification was poorly hand written and I misread it as being towed in a few months. Considering the pandemic, I decided to wait until after I was fully vaccinated to go into the Dmv to get a sticker to prove to management that my car is legal. I had to pay 150 to get my car back and the management pretty much said too bad, not our problemToday (Friday), I still havent gotten a sticker for my car but I received another sticker saying my car will be towed Monday.Management aside, my apartment is too expensive and dissapointing with little sunlight. I can frequently hear my neighbors moving as the ceiling creaks from them walking upstairs.Edit: I have increased the rating to two stars as maintenance is good and quick even if they dont notify you before entering your home. I also edited some aspects of the review to be more fair while still keeping my core issues.The area is close to a good Greenway that is a solid two mile loop for running and the renovation work is nice.Also, I want to point out there is a specific stipulation about having a sticker and I was technically wrong, but I dont think the way they implement their system is fair or considerate of their tenants. Towing someones car under any circumstances should get a more considerate response than a sticker on a window from some third party towing company.Overall, my experience was worse because of covid, dissapointment in my apartment, and poor communication but Ive read and seen worse places in the area.Still, Ill be moving after my lease expires.

Grounds are kept nice and maintenance is always very friendly and helpful, but there’s dog poop e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e. That has grass or trees.

Lived at Amberwood at Lochmere for two years. Our first year was great. Very small issues that anyone could have in any apartment complex. After the change in management however, our beloved home took a very unexpected turn for the worse. Drucker and Falk allowed for drug dealers to move in, squatters and extra persons not on the lease to stay long term, residents do not pick up after their dogs and go completely unpunished.. These are the smaller issues. On top of all of this, my fiance and I spoke with several people in the office about maintenance issues to be resolved prior to move out. They assured us that it would be handled and we should not have to pay any extra. No maintenance personnel were ever called. We asked for this information in writing, but every time they forgot or couldnt remember what we were talking about.Now, two weeks after moving out, we get a bill saying that they had to shampoo the carpet (as they do prior to a new tenant moving in along with painting anyway) AND a full carpet replacement, CHARGING ME FOR BOTH. I have never had a worse experience with checking out of an apartment before. They are also trying to charge me for back utilities which I have been paying along with every rent payment, every month. I am unable to prove this as they do not allow you to look up past bills on their website anymore. If you have any self worth and value whats in your wallet, DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX!

This is my second year living at Amberwood at Lochmere. i just recently decided to transfer apartments, and Dana was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process! Even after there was suppose to be a delay in my transfer, she worked her magic and somehow still made it happen on time! The complex became owned by a differnet company a few months ago, and they are making updates throughout the complex. The new company has kept the complex spotless, and they are making some great changes. The apartment complex itself is quiet and feels safe!

Stayed here for almost 3 years. What can I say? Subpar appliances and bad paint work inside the apartments. The staff is mediocre despite management change. They have predatory rates when transferring the lease to another person that qualifies. I mean, despite covid19 raging in America, these people will make you pay fees after fees. No concern for tenants. My rent increased about $50-100 in over 2 years despite covid19. There are only two good things I can say about this apartment complex; the maintenance team and the location. These are the only reasons why I’m giving it 2 stars. I want to thank their tech guys because they’re always respectful and professional. I’m writing this review because they keep sending me emails reminding me to do so.Wouldn’t stay here again.

*WARNING* Avoid renting here at all costs.After renting at multiple different locations over the past 3 years I can state assuredly that Amberwood at Lochmere is the worst place I have ever rented from.Issue #1 Severe water quality issues with unit piping (images attached) we purchased a filter but even so the water quality is so poor it routinely clogs the filter and leaves black granular residue on our plates, pans, utensils and even worse our baby bottles! After submitting several work orders the issue has not been resolved and the front office has been no help. I will be reaching out to the City of Cary to report the issue and to report Amberwood for failure to resolve possible contaminants in the water system.Issue #2 One of our vehicles has an expired tag. Unfortunately this tag is very much expired which is the vehicle owners fault. This is true, we recently moved from Oregon. Unfortunately Amberwood has issued tow threats against the vehicle. The problem is the owner (Amberwood resident) was unable to secure a DMV appointment to get an NC drivers license in order to then register to then register the vehicle. The issue is solely time table related to securing a DMV appointment. As soon as an NC drivers license can be procured we can immediately register the vehicle. Despite this Amberwood and the front office staff have been rude, unhelpful and at times abusive towards myself and my girlfriend (vehicle owner). We recently welcomed a baby girl and as you can imagine are running a little ragged lately. So verbal abuse being thrown at my girlfriend is very much not appreciated. While an expired tag is certainly not acceptable and very much something we need to resolve the issue is making a DMV appointment with COVID restrictions in place has proved challenging and our earliest available appointment has been in excess of a month out. Due to the aggressive nature of Amberwoods threats against us I have secured an attorney and will be discussing possible options for us. A matter of principal at this point. Yes you read that correct the are threatening to tow one of their own residents vehicles.All in all, the apartments are also a little dated, though they are clean and the grounds are well kept. There are a myriad of other choices nearby that I would HIGHLY encourage you to check out first. You have been warned.

I moved here from Orlando and have honestly never written a positive apartment review, but Ive really enjoyed living here. Ive lived here for about a year and a half now and have never had any issues. The neighbors in my building all seem to be nice and respectful of others. The staff are very friendly, and the maintenance guys are great. This complex even goes as far as to scrape the spider webs out of the doorways and hallways, which is super nice. Its also located in a quiet area with lots of walking trails nearby.

I’ve lived here since it was a nice community “Bennington Woods” the transition to Amberwoods has been horrendous. You will have make repeated calls for basic maintenance. The breezeways are not maintained. I’ve been walking past a pile of trash for months to access my unit.Update: Since my post - The customer service I received after my second call to the office was spot on- she (Alfreda) was concerned about the broken glass at my doorway and came with maintenance to clean it up within 10 minutes of my call. If the staff stays on her level concern and professionalism Amberwood will be a fabulous community. It’s location is great, it’s quiet, all we need is maintenance to step up.

The absolute worst place to live do not live here.

Update: Front office was helpful with getting us more time to get updated tags for pne of our vehicles before trying to tow it.Sadly looks like a bunch of gang members have moved into the 600 building. Large gatherings at night yelling and creating a scene.Look elsewhere.

I must say, that living here at Amberwood At Lochmere has brought me nothing but peace and tranquility. I truly love the convenience (grocery stores, eating establishments, movies, etc) and comfort of the homes. The grounds are clean and the staff is always pleasant. My grand children enjoy the pool during the Summer season and the safety of outside play (Speed bumps & Stop signs within the complex). I would like to thank them for adding the wooden fence around the dumpster area 👌. Making for a more clean view of the grounds. Work orders are timely. Emails announcing events are frequent but, not annoying. Events are kid friendly and welcoming. They have Food Trucks that come out, Holiday events and other fun gatherings for their residents. Overall, my apartment home is outstanding and just right for me........... Once here, you will be PLEASE🙂

I wish I could give this place 0 stars, it doesnt even deserve the 1. For the past couple of years this place has gone downhill. The ground in the dog park is covered in poop, and theres poop in the grass areas near the buildings. If you have to walk your dog, you really need to watch your step. The pool area is a joke, ALL of the chairs are torn and you cant sit or lay down. You either have to bring your own chair, lay on the concrete, or sit on the chairs that arent torn so bad and pray that you dont fall though. Same for the gym, most of the equipment stays broken and the place is filthy. They do offer valet trash, but some people leave their trash out for days and it attracts rodents and roaches, plus it stinks up the place.I could go on and on, but I think Ive made my point. The location is nice and its quiet, but if you want to live in a dump this is the place for you. Do yourself a favor and dont even waste your time touring here. Hard pass. I cant wait until my lease is up and I can leave this place.

I lived at Bennington Woods, right beside Amberwood at Lochmere. Right before we moved, the company that owns Amberwood bought Bennington (Drucker & Falk) and I am SO glad we moved when we did. I loved the people at Bennington until one day, the personnel changed without notice and we were told our usual staff were helping at another facility. A few days later, we were told via letter that the facility had changed hands and that our staff was gone and club house would be closed. We had to break our lease for a better job opportunity and the level of disorganization was astounding. I understand dealing with a new complex is challenging, but I was told differing information by different members of the Amberwood team, they misplaced our check, and the communication was terrible. I even emailed and contacted Drucker & Falk directly multiple times asking to speak to them instead of the staff at Amberwood and I never heard back. Amberwood ended up asking for more money once we moved out (aside from the continuing rent we had to pay until they got the apartment re-rented) and I just gave it to them to be rid of them and not have to deal with them anymore. Unsurprisingly, I got a letter in the mail at the beginning of August (we moved in March) saying they had asked for too much and they sent us a check giving us the money back (only reason this review is not one star). Im so glad to be done with this place.Edit: I just want to respond to the comment I received from the company. I did try to contact you about the situation multiple times (via email and phone), as I stated in my original post. You obviously don’t care to talk about issues until someone posts a negative review since I never heard back from you previously.

Bennington Woods is a cute, safe little apt. complex in Cary. It has a pool for the hot days in the summer and a tennis/basketball court for use anytime. It also has a gym, and is located right next to the greenway, so if you are a runner/biker this is a great spot for you! The apartments are very cute on the inside with new appliances and fresh everything. And the ladies that work in the office are super sweet and helpful!

I lived here for 15 months. The property manager Nick is amazing and has truly great customer service and he makes sure his staff shares his same values. If you decide to make Amberwood your home you will not be disappointed. The apartments are homey and you are near everything is a great location.

Kim Ebron earns 5 stars for customer service! Both Kim and Driss are warm and accommodating. The staff at Amberwood is very patient, thoughtful and helpful in working with me to find the apartment that best suits my interest. After my application was approved, Kim sent me an email and followed up with a phone call to ensure I had all the necessary information. Im very impressed with Kim and Driss, and their support has encouraged my decision to choose Amberwood as my new home destination. Youre appreciated!

I just moved in at Amberwood and I love it so far. Ive moved 4 times in the past 4 years and this is by far the best/nicest apartment Ive lived in and the most affordable. Such a perfect location and beautiful property. It finally feels like home. I especially appreciate the awesome service by Sherice at the office. She is very efficient and helpful and made the transition easy. Im looking forward to living here for a while. :)

I have lived here for 7 months and it is a great place to live. I looked at several places that were within my budget and this was by far the best choice. The apartments are clean, well maintained and quiet. There is a very diverse group of people living here in reference to age and ethnicity. Everyone I have met has been very nice.One of my favorite things is the location, it is very near a lot of the shopping centers yet located quietly off of the green way. It is literally the best of both worlds.If you are looking for a good quality place to live I would suggest visiting Bennington Woods.

Absolutely the worst place I ever left! Cleaned everything and still they tried to stick us with a bill! You will not get your deposit back! Even if you do everything right. Unbelievable.Do all your research before staying at this place. It appears nice however like anything else it always looks greener but that this presentation is fake. I would never refer this place to anyone unless Corporate management change.

So far it has been an amazing experience with these apartments. Sheria was awesome the process was fast and right before Christmas. She gave us a honest opinion and was so warm and inviting! The maintenance guys are amazing also!!! Any problem we had they fixed right away.

Nice neighbors, decent price, friendly staffs! I love the fact that a greenway is close to this apartment. This community is not loud so far, this community is quiet which is the reason my family loves this place!

Just moved up from Miami... Ladies at the front office have been very friendly and helpful. Apartment was well maintained, and so far the the small issues Ive had have either been addressed or sent to whoever will be able to address them. Still early in my lease, but so far theyve been great.The area is great... close to Raleigh, and you have what you need minutes away. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for nice and affordable apartments.

Today, I went to pick up my keys for my new apartment at Bennington Woods, and I can honestly say I have never been so excited to move into an apartment! The staff has been so friendly and helpful, and they seem to really care about their residents. My new apartment is gorgeous! It is newly renovated, and I did not find a single thing wrong with it! I am glad to call Bennington Woods my new home.

We moved in last September and just renewed our lease for a year. We love it here. The ladies in the office are always willing to help with any problem or question that we have. The maintenance team is very quick to respond when something needs fixing in the apartment. Jason is a very personable person and always checks in when he sees us to make sure everything is going okay and to see if we need anything. Very friendly community to live in!

Honestly they are good apartments. Relatively quiet, convenient to shopping and interstate... I dont really have any complaint. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because of the price increase. My 1 bedroom apartment was 759 when I moved in January 2017, now that exact same unit is 1100!!!! Thats absolutely absurd and while it is a nice complex it is by NO MEANS worth that much money.

Overall have had great experiences here at Amberwood. Community feels safe, pool is gorgeous, facilities are maintained well, and maintenance is always quick to respond. Jason from maintenance has always done a great and fast job fixing any issues we report and is very friendly. Happy to renew my lease this year!

I moved out of state into Amberwood in the middle of March and i have had the best experience in moving to a new place that you could ask for. My apartment was newly updated and has lots of space. Jason maintenance man is very quick in getting things fixed he does an awesome job.The staff at the office always does its best to make you feel welcome and are very helpful. Amberwood is position in the right place. Most shopping places are within two miles from the complex. The complex is very clean and neighbor friendly. I would highly recommend these apartments.

Been here for around 6 months. Rent is nice and the area is amazing with close proximity to the greenways. The staff is extremely friendly and professional! The apartments are also nice and spacious as well!

I have been here 6-8 months and it has been great. I truly reccomend it! They have done a lot of nice landscape work on the property and the pool area is great. For the price the location is great has everything and some in the area. The staff is honestly the best.Jason from maintenance is awesome. I had a few minor issues and he takes care of it right away. The office staff are sweet also. The girls are really cool and a friendly group of ladies. My last place they were miserable and i dreaded seeing them so this goes a long way for me. Neighborhood is nice and neighbors quiet. I am very happy so far and appreciate it.

My mother & I needed somewhere to live with very short notice to find a place. We had expectations in our new home like price, interior finishes that we could afford and location location location. A friend of mine recommended that I check this community out as it met his lengthy checklist of requirements so I decided to look at Amberwood and nowhere else since he too would be moving there in a few weeks. The team at Amberwood has been nothing short of amazing and has made a stressful transition from one home to another easier than I could have ever imagined. Sherice was very patient with all of my questions and even took time to address any that my mother had repeats and all. If you’re looking for a quiet, tucked away home that fits the average working class budget and close to ALOT please stop by and see my friends at Amberwood at Lochmere.

Great place

I recently moved in a few weeks ago, my first week I was livid because the first unit I was in had a major problem that the complex was having a hard time correcting making the apartment unlivable, the entire staff was very friendly and tried everything they could to correct the issue, I was going to break my lease but Nick then offered me another unit and gave me an account credit for the troubles. Nick has been an exceptionally great property manager making sure I am happy and comfortable and he personally came to the new unit to inspect and make sure everything was up to standard. I am very pleased with the customer service from the complex staff and the maintanence team has been very diligent in correcting issues within a few hours of a work order being placed.

You cant ask for much more when you find Amberwood apartments it has everything your looking for from a pool & tennis courts too biking trails & valet trash. If the complex doesnt sell you off first look the girls in the office defiantly will. Not only do they try to get you in to a home that is comfortable for you they try to supply to at least 3 request that you ask like if you want a room on the 3rd level or first. They try to be as helpful as possible. Good place to stay would recommend to others

I love living here. Maintenance is fast and personable. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, giving my roommate and I several options on apartments and being timely when responding to email. We recently have been bought over by Pegasus Residential after renewing, which I dont know much about. Other than that, the landscaping is ALWAYS beautiful, we just got a dog park, the carport is useful, there are visitor parking areas, our floor plan is open and our appliances are newer. I LOVE that they allow bully breeds because, although I am no longer a dog owner, I used to have a pit bull and it was very hard to find a place that would accept him. Its really nice to see that ALL PEOPLE and PETS are accepted at Bennington Woods.

Ive lived here for 3 yrs and never asked for much and always paid my rent on time. Recently Nick, part of the office staff,came out himself after maintenance was of for the day... He shoveled the walkway for us when I was to be moving out the next morning and wished not to break something! There was not always the best of staff working over the years, but since hes been working here Ive seen improvement. Thanks again Nick!

We have lived at Amberwood for three years and find that the current management team is especially adept in establishing the fine points of apartment living. Particularly noteworthy, are Jason and his maintenance team. Each request has been met with an especially friendly spirit of help and support, and each has been resolved to our complete satisfaction. I salute the company for its selection of management and support personnel, as well as the entire staff for establishing high individual standards.

I Just relocated to the Amberwood complex. I was very impressed with Ms.Tana professionalism. She was a great help. I absolutely would recommend the Amberwood Apartment community to others. Oh and they have to be helped by Ms.Tana!!Rick

I relocated from Maryland and rented sight unseen. Through the process the staff at Amberwood treated me so kindly. This made my moving experience much smoother. Thank you.My experience with Jason, lead maintenance and his crew need to commended as well. The crew has been very professional and has taken care of any of my issues.Now Jason...hummm where do I begin! I had issues with the cable company and because of Jason my issues have been resolved. Jason went above and beyond making phone calls, following the chain upwards until my issues were handled correctly. Jason is a person who definitely can follow through until the task or mission is completed. I am thankful for his expertise and determination. My hats off to him!

Just moved into Bennington a week ago and have found it awesome! Location is great, and Tiffany was such a big help in the leasing offices!! Apartments are really nice, and Im surprised at how much I cannot hear my neighbors!

So far I have had zero issues. My questions are answered quickly, the on site guys are all really nice. And Im not constantly bugged by the office which makes me feel more at home.

New owners came in and dont care about neighborhood or town rules. They cut down beautiful trees without permission from community or town. They are all about the money and could care less about their values and community that they claim on their website. They even had one of those cartoon characters dancing around the corner to try to bring in new clients....classy. Town imposed $70,000 fine, Im sure there will be more coming.

I dont recommend living here. We are moving out very soon. For the best two years we have lived here we have dealt with mice. Not just one but total of 13 we have killed. One got into our washer machine, when I pulled out my clothes there was a dead mouse. When I complained about it they told me it was because we live in a wooded area. They had people come out but it never did anything. We had to go out and buy traps with our own money. That is no reason for me to have to live with mice pissing and defecting on my pots and pans. Also, when they changed management to the Connor Group, they started charging for water which we didnt pay with the prior management company. They dont keep the grounds nice. A few weeks ago there was two dead squirrels where I take my dogs out. They stayed there until they rotted way. On top of the mice problem we had roaches coming in from our fire place. Which is absolutely nasty. When they did come and update the apartments the working crew left dirty foot prints on the carpet. The got glue and paint on the floor. Please look for a better apartment.

The place is gorgeous and everyone is so nice! It has all the amenities you could ask for. Maintenence responds promptly, and the area is so nice and quiet. I’m proud to live here :)

I have lived in Amberwood for 3 years. The apartment was fine, the outside Patio is pretty useless and the condition of the wood is ok at best. No repairs just been painted over. Supposed to be luxury but everything in it is dated. That being said I recently was late on my rent payment because the auto-pay was disabled while the owning company changed hands. I went in to pay it about 9 days later and they wouldnt accept any payment that wasnt the full amount + additional fees. I was 11 dollars short. ELEVEN dollars. No effort was made to help me out or accept the 1100 I had right then and started talking about eviction!!! Are you kidding me after 3 years of being a good tenant this is the thanks I get?? Ive never been late on my payments prior to this. On top of that Im a disabled vet and I frequently have asked to be moved from the lower floor to an apartment on the first floor to avoid having to deal with the steps. Frequently told nothing is available but when I look online they are indeed available and the units are empty for weeks. Customer service has went to the gutter, and nothing for being a loyal tenant AT ALL. I will not be renewing my lease. Youve lost a good tenant.

I moved into Amberwood in August and have had the best experience in moving to a new place that you could ask for. My apartment was newly updated and has lots of space.The maintenance men are very quick in getting things fixed.The staff at the office always does its best to make you feel welcome. Wonderful neighborhood.I would highly recommend these apartments.

Edit:This place is alright. The majority of the staff in the leasing office is great, and all the maintenance guys are awesome. Ive had a metric crap-ton of issues in the month since I moved in, so that hasnt exactly been fun, but the issues have been addressed in a somewhat timely fashion.The maintenance crew is the best of any apartments Ive lived in so Ill give them that. As far as the rest of the apartment stuff goes, welllllll. Its better than some.

I loved living in amberwood. I resided there for 11 years. I would still be living there, but i had a death in the family and had no choice but to move back to New Jersey. I always had maintenance answer my calls almost immediately, they always resolved the problem the first time. If u have any questions the office staff was always ready to help u out. For the years i lived there it was a no crime area. Great area for children. The kids are always outside playing with each other.In the summer months when the pool was open it was great. They have a large grill for anyone to grill on. People were always ready to socialize with each other. Its a great place to hve a pool party.I would definitely refer anyone to move there.

My girlfriend and I have loved living here so far, after 4 months, in one of the renovated apartments. There have been a few minor issues with couples arguing in our building and not being able to easily access the clubhouse wifi/business center. Other than that, weve loved it! They waived our deposit after a credit check which was amazing because were saving up for a house and every little bit helps. I also love living in the heart of Cary with super easy walking access to the greenway trail and the grocery store with an affordable rent!

Bennington Woods is a great community to live in! Its comfortable and the people that work here, whether in the office or in the maintenance crew, make it a great place!

Seemed like a good area but customer service was poor coming from the Assistant property manager. This was the only reason I didn’t move forward with renting which was a shame. She acted like I wasn’t serious about the process, and like she didn’t care to help me the best she could with moving forward. Customer service is probably the main thing that makes or breaks an apartment complex’s atmosphere and I hope that this wasn’t geared because of looks, etc. Maybe it will be improved for the future.

I want to commend Nolan from the maintenance crew. He showed up quickly to repair a problem and was efficient, personable and he really thought out the best solution for rock solid long term functionality. Great job, Nolan! Thank you!

Amberwood staff are warm and caring. Apartments are comfortable and well maintained. Great location close to everything.

My transition to become as resident of Amberwood At Lochmere was made very simple due to the hard work of Jasmine. She goes the extra mile to make sure all questions and issues are resolved. She is very polite and very professional.

Our maintenance team leader Jason is the best. Hes dependable, fixes everything fast & efficient, great personality. In fact hes the best staff member here.LOVE HIM!

Amberwood is a great place to live. Safe area. Ive had a few issues since Ive moved in, but the people in the front office have been pretty good about getting everything resolved in a timely manner. Old front office people werent as attentive as the ones now. Not the cheapest area to live, but for a good apartment in Cary, its not bad at all. Jasmine is very helpful and willing to do what it takes to keep the customer happy.When it comes to maintenance, Jason is the absolute man. Him and his team are extremely professional and worked tirelessly to make sure all my issues in the apartment were taken care of. Things happen, but its a great feeling when you know the guy whos going to fix your apartment problems does good work.

My wife and I have lived here for two years. We have been through a few managers, but the manager that is currently in place is...BY FAR...the best! We absolutely LOVE to deal with Hannah Wester and Jolena Hill. These women love their job...which is evident in the way that they conduct business. I cannot say enough about these two ladies. We haven’t had a lot of maintenance issues, but anytime one arises they are very quick to resolve it! As a business, you cannot have better stewards to represent you. The location to everything else is such a bonus too. It’s the quiet of “country living” but only minutes away from the “big city” and anything you could want or need. We would and do recommend anyone to live in this community!

I have been looking for an apartment for about a month now. I have had so many bad experiences until I find Amberwood at Lochmere. The customer service there is exceptional. If you go there for assistance, you should definitely ask for Nikkia or Christopher. They will go above and beyond to help you find what you need. They are amazing!!!!

Staff is extremely rude and disrespectful. On MULTIPLE occasions different staff members have been rude. I am a friend of a current resident and at one point was considering moving here until these incidents began to happen under the new management. Today was it, they threatened to call the police on me for trespassing when I didnt take the disrespect the man at the office was spewing out at the pool and it was all based on simple miscommunication. Thankfully Im very calm so I actually waited for the police to show in hopes of filing a harassment charge... he refused to back away when I asked politely several times. He never called and they never showed. I will never be back and from this day forward Ill make sure my friends know how horrible of a place this is. Im appalled that I was treated this way by staff, I wonder if the owner knows how the staff ruins potential residents. It would have been a good place for after nursing school.

I been a resident at Amberwood of Lochmere Apartments for two years and I have seen several transitions with management of which I was not happy with. Although the past managerial team left with matters unsettle; the current team has been much apologetic and concerned. The current management team has been more supportive and knowledgeable of my worries and needs as a tenant. The current staff is much friendlier and display character and morals which support the expectation of the living environment and the community.The current managerial team is taking great pride in carefully screening all future tenants to insure that my stay is safe by making morally choices in their determination for future tenants to become a part of our the Amberwood community. It has made me feel safe outside of the building as well.The team’s professional leadership and kindness has been much needed and appreciate.

I just moved in to this apartment at the beginning of August and have had a very good experience. My apartment is well-maintained with a large kitchen (includes dishwasher, microwave, and icemaker in freezer), large closets, and an outdoor patio. My apartment has stayed cool through the last few weeks when it has been very warm. Actually, I havent even turned on the AC. The pool and hot tub are well maintained and are usually pretty quiet. I go there often on weekends and always find an empty chair to lounge on.The women who work in the leasing office are always friendly and have answered any questions Ive had promptly. I have had both good and bad experiences with the maintenance staff. When I moved in, I was given the wrong keys to my apartment. I called maintenance and someone was at my door with the right keys within 15 minutes. However, about a week ago, I accidentally locked myself out. I left a message on the maintenance line and didnt hear back for over an hour. Finally, I just called a locksmith (which was expensive). The garbage is collected outside your door every weekday night between 6-8, which is great. There is also a dumpster centrally located on the grounds if you need to take anything out over the weekend.Last, I love the location. Im 15 from my job at NC State; very close (walking distance, if youre ambitious) to grocery stores, restaurants, drug stores, etc; and I can be downtown in less than 20 if traffics not bad. Overall, I enjoy my apartment and think its a great place for the money.

I just moved to amaberwoods I absolutely love my new home and community!! I cant wait to go swimming in the gorgeous pool and even in the hot tub!! The office staff rocks!!! They are very nice and professional always makes sure you have what u need!!! This place rocks!!!

Im downgrading my previous review to 1 star. There have been no improvements at all: corridors are still filthy, steps are cracked, carpet is bubbled up, parking is not regulated (and theres not enough spaces), no speed bumps, water/sewer bills extremely high, & youre forced to pay for services you dont use. I havent met the new management team yet, so I cant say how they are. Honestly, I havent been back to the office since Condescending Julese was there. My experience with her made me give up on All apartment managers. Unfortunately, I just had to resign my lease because Im still looking for a house. Maybe a distant relative will leave me a small fortune and I can finally get away from this place. BEWARE!

I’ve been staying here for over a year and have absolutely fell in love here. It’s in a very good location and the staff is amazing.

I moved from out of state and the leasing staff were extremely helpful with my move in. I didnt have the ability to visit the place before moving in, but reading the reviews and looking at the area seems to have worked out, because the community looks great.Based on the features, location and friendliness of the staff and reasonable price of the units, I would strongly recommend this to anyone wanted to get nice spot in Cary, and quick access to all of Raleigh.

I have been a resident for over 5 years and still really enjoy the peaceful environment. The maintenance team is responsive and management here is very nice and helpful. I would absolutely recommend Amberwood to my friends and family!

Terrible. The new staff (apart from Mark with maintenance) is completely incompetent. They only have one person at the front office all day, and expect them to be able to answer residents questions or concerns, yet they do not give them the knowledge to adequately answer our questions or concerns. They claim to give a 24-hour notice prior to entering the apartment for maintenance checks; however, when they put a flyer on your door the day before they need to enter the apartment, you of course will not see it soon enough to make arrangements for pets or anything else. When Bennington Woods was owned prior to Pegasus it was a great community. Now it has total gone down hill due to the incompetent staff at the front office. My recommendation to the community would be to provide the phone number for a property manager who knows what they are doing and who is available during work hours to answer questions and concerns by the residents.

Terrible, terrible apartments. They will screw you over for everything. Beware of the roaches and massive waterbugs. Their UPDATED display apartment does not show their outdated apartment units. Be careful what you sign. There are a lot of hidden ways to get more money out of you. DO NOT LIVE HERE.

I have been very impressed with my stay at Amberwood! Staff is friendly and responsive, apartment is clean and updated, and you cant beat the location. Within walking distance to Lochmere Lake. Highly recommend!

Pros:1. Small, quaint community2. Dog friendly3. Great location4. Polite staffCons:1. Limited parking. Need stronger penalties for inconsiderate guests who park in Resident Parking. I may start using my car to block them in.2. NEED SPEED BUMPS! People run the stop signs, especially early in the morning. I walk my dog before sunrise and have almost been hit twice. Theres no reason we can have speed bumps. The apartment complex behind us has them.3. Dirty breezeways and corridors. The stairs are filled with cobwebs, dead bugs, debris, etc. The last company that came out to pressure wash the building must have skipped our breezeway.4. Screaming/loud shrills in the corridors. It echoes through the entire building. Not cool.

Pegasus sucks. Six years in this complex and before Pegasus it was a joy to be here. Now, I advise any and everyone to run the other way from Bennington Woods Im sorry I could give them a quarter of a star

Very rude mgt. Grill has never worked, work out room very small, pool is nasty,broken chairs....people coming from other apts....computer and printer doesnt work in office, mandatory valet trash.Maybe they will pick up maybe they wont.

Didnt think that Cary had a ghetto, but here we are. My boyfriend lives less than a mile away in the Lodge at Crossroads, so I figured this area would be just as nice. I thought wrong. There are multiple abandoned cars throughout the complex, one even has a completely smashed front end. When I was getting the mail, a girl was loudly on speakerphone explaining how she was waiting for the plug aka her drug dealer to show up. Someone hit a light outside of my building at 1am (claims they werent drunk) and totaled someones Honda. The light was torn out of the ground and covered with dirt instead of being replaced, making it extremely dark in this area. To add to that, another light is burnt out, so taking your dog out at night when its pitch black is always fun. In the 4 months Ive been here, staff has already changed (Chris who leased me my apartment) no longer works there. Since being in the apartment, I had multiple repairs in the first week, including broken doors and a broken toilet. Since then, my toilet has flooded my bathroom and the vent in my bedroom was leaking water where there is already evident previous water damage. When my toilet flooded, the maintenance guy made a comment about how I called him for help on Fathers Day.. The upgraded appliances are nice, but the rest of the renovation looks cheaply done with poor paintwork and the wood floors chipping away which Im sure Ill somehow get charged for. Trash fees are $36 and there is no way to opt out of them. Living alone, I maybe take the trash out once a week so its like paying $8-9 every time they grab my trash. I have expressed all of these concerns to management and I would hate for someone to have to experience what I have. Cheap rent is always great, but dont let it mislead you when choosing an apartment.

Ive lived here for two and a half years and these apartments have gone from great, to terrible. The place got bought out by Pegasus mid 2016 and they are just a machine. The previous owners were local and did a great job of customer service and responding to requests. The owners we have now, as of 1/13/17, are rude and care nothing about this community. There are tons of choices out there, I would stay away from this place. I recently bought a home and called on Wednesday to ask about some move out procedures and no answer, so I left a voicemail. By Friday, I had not heard back, so I left another voicemail, with no response. After work on Friday, today, I stopped by after my evening run to get answers to my questions and the woman working in the office told me she had checked the voicemail and there were none. Why would someone lie and say they had called an establishment twice to get information, how would that serve me? Poor customer service, you can count on it.

Jason is the man!!! Hes always on site. He arrives in minutes and fixes everything. Best maintenance group Ive ever seen. Wish I could give 6 stars

My main complaint with Bennington Woods is that it wouldnt consider at least partially refunding me for paying for electric after I had moved out of the residence.I moved out in December and forgot to cancel the electric. So, I was billed for January and part of Februar. Even though I didnt use electric during this time period, Bennington Woods basically said I was responsible to pay for it because I didnt take it out of my name.I felt like if they cared at all about pleasing the customer they would consider at least paying part of electric for this period because they would have used it to keep the place warm so the pipes wouldnt freeze. Basically, they took advantage of my mistake and got a sweet deal as they didnt have to pay for electric during this time period. They saved themselves at least a $100 bucks in taking advantage of my mistake.Obviously, now that you have read this post you will not make the same mistake I did, but you should consider if they would take advantage of a customer this way, I have no doubt they would may advantage of customers in other ways. So, be wary and best luck in your search for a good place to live.One more thing to keep in mind is that while I was staying there in late 2013 a car was stolen from a parking spot right next to my residence, so if you decide to move there keep this in mind.

I Absolutely LOVE Amberwood!! Very nice staff at the office, all of the girls are very friendly and help with all of your needs!! The maintenance staff is amazing and on time with emergency calls even late at night they say ill be there in 25 mins, they show up in 25 mins, also very friendly guys :)... if you are looking for an apartment I would say choose Amberwood at Lochmere !!
