Tony is the absolute best!!! He takes his time and ensures that my nails come out flawless. I will never go anywhere I used to go to Lynns spa for years and finally gave up on them as their customer service skills are less then desirable! Tony is the man he definitely knows what hes doing and is really friendly he definitely listens when you tell him what you want.

I will never go back to this place. I was burned with the drill, had my dip overlay pried off, my long natural nails damaged and chopped down to nubs. The nail tech never asked what length or shape I wanted. I left and my gel nails were still tacky. Then the nail tech lied and said I had to pay with cash only. Another customer overheard this and also thought it was strange. When I told the owner my nails were still tacky said just use alcohol to make them smooth. Terrible experience.

I did these on a Thursday and on Friday it looked like this. I called told the the nails are practically popping off (keeping in mind I spent my day typing in my computer and the were basically falling off). I called the salon to tell the and the lady basically dismissed me! Saying the won’t come off if I didn’t do anything (the nails are extremely thin btw)and she hung up

Mimosa Nail Salon is the best place to go if your looking for the prettiest lash extensions. Ask for Lee, she is my favorite Lash Tech. She takes a great amount of pride in her work. Lee is gentle and cares for the integrity of your personal lashes as well as the extensions. She explains which lash length and style will best fit your eye shape. You leave feeling sexy and vivacious. Be prepared for the non stop compliments.If Lee is not available the other Lash Techs will take great care of you. They are all very talented.If your looking for your toes to be pedicured properly and beautifully then this is the place to do it. Their pedicures are relaxing and refreshing. You feet will thank you.Lastly the Mimosa Nail Salon team has taken all the precautions to protect their clients and themselves from Covid 19 spread. Upon entering the shop you are directed to the beautiful sink area to wash your hands before your desired service is performed. The salon is constantly being sanitized and clean. There are hand sanitizer pumps placed on every counter. It feels reassuringly safe in such in uncertain times. Try them out and thank me later.

They do nails, waxing, and lashes. A lot of the techs are able to provide you with all services offered so you do not have wait for someone else, which I love! No appointment required unless you want to make sure a specific tech is available. Ive been really lucky to find 3 techs that I like their work.

Emily the owner is rude! You make an appointment and 9/10 your nail tech is with someone else making you wait up to 30 minutes! I used to love them and now their quality of service has taken a nosedive!!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN. THEY ABSOLUTELY CANNOT DO NAILS. THE WORKERS ARE CLEARLY SEEING TOO MANY CLIENTS IN ONE DAY. WHICH MEANS IF YOURE NOT A REGULAR THEY WILL NOT DO A GOOD JOB ON YOUR NAILS. THEY CANNOT DO DIP NAILS. HORRIBLE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. 85$ IN THE TRASH. IM SO UPSET.

The pedicure was done very quick, and my foot was not scrub properly. It still look like it was never done. When I called they never told me cash only. Had to use there ATM in the store and get charge for the use and my bank going to charge to. Overcrowded even with loose policyI won’t recommend this place. Also no price list posted anywhere, you see prices when your feet are ready in the water..

I have been going to Emily for a few months now (since November). I have noticed that my nails which are long and healthy continue breaking off. My last straw was this last time I went there for a dip manicure (as usual). Less than a week later, not one, but THREE of my nails were breaking. I went back in and asked to get them fixed. She was busy and said I would have to wait. I stated that it was no problem and didn’t mind if another nail tech could fix it.Every woman who came after me began getting serviced. I asked the rude guy who serves as their receptionist why everyone was getting serviced before I was. He responded very rudely while raising his voice at me.Minutes later, Emily called me over to sit at her center. I kindly told her (as a manager), she needs to tell her workers to speak better with their customers. As I was telling her this, she took a phone call as someone was calling her. When she hung up, she never once acknowledged what I had said. She was very dismissive regarding my concerns.As she was “fixing” my nails, she said they broke because they’re “too long.” Any other time she’s doing them she never complains about the length. In fact, she typically charges me $10-15 more because of the length. Suddenly the length is an issue because I am asking for her to fix my nails that she had just done a week prior? Her and her co-workers sat in a huddle and were talking about me in their language, Vietnamese, assuming they were speaking negatively. So I, too, began speaking about them in my native language on the phone with a friend of mine.Very unprofessional, they’ll break off all your natural that you work hard on, AND then will speak about their customers to their other customers. I’ve heard her talk poorly about her Black women customers to me often, regarding how they’re “always late, nails are too long, etc.” Overall, it’s a horrible business and I will NEVER return. Emily, learn how to manage the business you’re supposed to manage — that includes not arguing with your customers when they express their concerns/complaints, not speaking about them in front of them, etc.

I love this nails salon!!! They were able to fix my old ugly acrylic and make them super beautiful. It was not that expensive and totally worth it!! I definitely recommend this nails salon!!

This was my first time at mimosa nails, they took me last minute (after having problems with my regular nail salon) and did an excellent job on my acrylics. I will definitely go back.

If you book an appointment just forget it, it’s a waste of time…they will make you wait everytime…they are so rude! Bad Service

I give it a four star, because the owner Emily does nails excellent. When it come to the other employees, they seem to rush everything and dont want to care if you have diabetes or not.

The problem I had is the customer service. Whats the point in making an appointment just to wait 45 mins? Also the techs need to tell the customer the price BEFORE services.Make sure you bring cash. In 2021 this place doesnt even have a card machine with all the options to pay, if you come without cash you will have to pay fees at the ATM to withdraw money.

My recent experience at mimosa nails was not a pleasant one. After coming in yesterday to get a full set by on nail technician, my nail broke that same night. So the next day, I returned to have it fixed. The other ladies were unwilling to help due to the fact that they did not receive the payment for the set. I explained I was going away and needed it fixed. Mary, a technician, rudely accepted and started to “fix” my nail. They proceed to laugh and make jokes when I asked her to fix things she was doing wrong. They charged me to fix my nail, but my issue is once it became a transaction, the professionalism wasn’t there. Nothing about the experience was professional.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! On 9/10 I got a full set done by Nancy. My nails were done nicely, shape was good, paint job awesome. By 9/14 5 of my nails had fallen off, three on my right hand, two on my left. I called the salon on 9/14 to inform them that my nails were fallen off, (I’ve never experienced this before) I was told to come on 9/15 because only two nail artist work on Mondays. Told I went in and showed them my nails the owner told me she doesn’t believe the nails just fell off. I had to take them off, at that point I asked for a refund because I refuse to get my nails done at a salon where they do not believe the customer. The staff joined in huddles to talk about me and the owner kept saying she didn’t believe me. I finally manage to get HALF of the money I paid. I will be taking my business else where! STAY AWAY

Honestly guys, i’ve been coming here for years and have seen a serious decrease in quality of work. And just the attitude. I never take longer then like 2 mins to pick my color and 20 seconds after looking their rushing me and giving attitude . i understand but if your slow and i’m paying and i always leave a good tip i don’t see why it’s a huge deal. and then i got my nails done somewhere else and i noticed how thin they’ve been putting on the acrylic and if i ask them to build it more, i get an attitude. this is an issue bc it causes your nails to break and not last as long. also, they don’t really put the acrylic close enough so it looks like i need a refill like the day after. Recently my nails have just been lifting and falling off days after i got them done if not the day after. i really loved this place for their wide color collection and prices but it’s changed.

I’ve been to this salon twice this summer and they do a rush job. I had to tell the gentleman doing my pedicure to add more polish, it must have been the bottom of the bottle. The atmosphere is get you in and out so they can take the next client. If you want a rush job this is the place. Was not happy!!!

I saw Jenny today and she was awesome! I told her when I sat down that I needed a full set but warned her that my cuticles and skin around my nails are very sensitive. She did such an amazing job and was extra careful. I hardly ever go to have acrylics done because I feel so anxious about the drills and filing but today I felt no pain! From now on Jenny will be my only nail technician!

Since COVID-19, this salon has had poor customer service, poor professionalism, poor attention to detail, poor quality. I asked for a specific shape, not hard to do. When she checked for quality I pointed out flaws and she assured me all would be fixed once she colored my nails and shaped them. I waited patiently until she finished coloring my nails. When it was time to shape them she couldn’t get them the shape I wanted without taking away from the length of my nails. After I pointed out errors in the shape she then passed me off to a coworker. I’ve been waiting for 30minutes for someone to finish my nails. I used to like this nail salon but not anymore. I shouldn’t get treated like this. Don’t come here, spend your money elsewhere.****after completed service****Please come with photos of what your desired nail or eyelash service you want. I learned the hard way sometimes explaining it just won’t do. Thanks to Emily the manager I left happy after she fixed my nails. I will return specifically to her for my pedicure and manicure.

Had the best pedicure ever. Buuuuut, I didnt ask for a pedicure, I just wanted a polish change. The technician made me feel so guilty about soaking my feet in the water for 10 minutes while she attended to other patrons, so I ended up paying for a pedicure out of pure embarrassment. I dont regret it though.I have one recommendation... sanitize the stations after each service. COVID is still a thing. Sanitize!

Horrible customer service from Kim. I wanted to get regular polish and have my gel removed. I had to ask her twice if she could buff my nails to make them smooth after she only filed them. I also had to ask her if she could clean the skin surrounding my nails since there was polish around every nail and she told me they were fine but I insisted. She then asked me to pay BEFORE adding polish, although I saw with her prior customer that she’d asked them to pay at the end. She then told me the don’t accept debit cards which was untrue. Finally, as my nails were drying at her table she grabbed my belongings and told me I had to move. I’ve never had this sort of service especially here so I’m extremely disappointed.

I love me some Emily & John. Always go here. Won’t let anyone else touch my nails. If they’re not available neither am I. I brought my daughter here before her trip to Hawaii and Emily hooked her UP!!! My daughter said she would come here once a month just to get a refill.

Mimosa is DEFINITELY a hit or miss! This is now my 3rd time going there only to be highly disappointed in the results. Upon leaving the salon and after sitting with my hands in front of the fan to ensure they were thoroughly dry, I noticed a small chip of my French manicure was gone. No problem, I said its a tiny bit and very inconspicuous but as the day went on, more of the white paint off my French manicure continued to recede and fall off, leaving me with not one nail completely covered or painted.

Beware! Was referred here because they did good job and was clean. Seen sign outside about mani and pedi special. Went inside and seen sign about the special for $35.00. Told the woman who checked me in I wanted the special she said okay. Was sat by someone else she started my pedi and asked me to look at the book about what pedi I wanted, again said I wanted the special and at that point was told we dont do that anymore! I told her the sign was up and I should of been told before being seated. So I paid 35.00 just for a pedi. Beware they will rip you off once in the chair.

They have adapted to covid-19 regulations they have plastic barriers between each patron while both mani and pedis are being done and they also have the barriers between themselves and their patrons, job well done.

I walked in she tried to offer me dip powder when I said I did not want it powder she insisted that I get dip I cannot stand when people do stuff like this I came to get my nails done not yours

I tried two times in a row. It’s nice service but if you get gel polish it fades within a week. I get acrylics and pay $15 for gel polish and im convinced they are adding something to stretch the product and it fades quickly... my gel lasts at least 2-3 weeks ! Not theirs

Emily does really good nails but she is very disrespectful. I went to get my nail fixed after one week it broke. I asked her how did my nail break this quick it hasnt even been 2 weeks. This lady told me “oh you better ask yourself that question” like excuse me. Then she started speaking in Vietnamese and all of her employees started looking at me. I took my business elsewhere. And this isn’t the first time of disrespect. I’ve seen it multiple times and had it happen multiple time.

My regular go to place. Great special Monday through Wednesday. (Mani Pedi $25) Never really a wait even though they are always busy. Once you find a girl you love... get her card and book appointments. Parking is available but can be limited. They make it work though

My first time coming here and I felt like I was rushed and I came in at 3:45pm. They have alot of colors to choose from which I like. I felt like my pedicure was rushed and I had to tell my tech multiple to clean my cuticles more throughly. There was a language barrier and she was pleasant just rushing the process. My nails came out good. I may give this place another shot with a different technician.

Love my manicurist Nancy, shes so sweet and so skilled. All of the manicurists there are warm and engaging, as well as expert at what they do. You cant go wrong!

First two times I went there it was a great experience and friendly nail techs. I always do dip powder on my “used to be long and healthy nails” and pedicure. but as months went on the service got weaker and nail techs started working like they don’t care. Almost all my nails that I had grown out for 3 years broke off because of the way they used the nail drill so carelessly and 2 of my toe nails has fungal infection and is growing crooked now I’m assuming because they aren’t cleaning products thoroughly or using new things. What I thought was a good experience turned nightmare ! 🥵

I made an appointment and still waited 30 minutes to be seated, i got a dip manicure and it was rushed and didn’t last me more than 4 days before it started breaking. When i go to other salons my dip nails last 3 weeks or more. Also my nails were hurting a few hours after getting them done and felt sore.

This is my 3rd time going there, very unsatisfactory. They dilute their nail polish. They charge me and my son for a pedicure for 30 dollars, the stones where cold not hot and the rag was cold also. dryer skin on my heels when I got home. The toes didnt match the nails, because they diluted the polish. Ive been trying to call the owner stephanie for 4days.they continue to hang up on me.i tried to give the benefit of the doubt, no thanks, no more. Both times they did messy jobs were special occasions for me. Very unsatisfactory and unprofessional. BBB....

Great experience. I went on Labor Day - it was still pretty busy - so I am sure the weekends must be crazy. I had a pedicure and gel manicure - $45. The chair massage during the pedicure was wonderful. I will be back!

Nice people. But my gel manicure peeled up on multiple fingers after only 6 days!!!! And I even wore gloves while doing dishes. I didnt even get a full week out of them, and they were a bit chunky at the tip. Other gel mains Ive gotten else were have lasted at least a week and a half!!! Its $25 for gels but $26 for places on mewbury street that last way longer. But my pedicure looks great still.

I love that Im immediately greeted and tended to as I walk in. Lisa is so sweet and careful to be thorough as she does your nails, I appreciate that! My go-to spot to relax and touch up my finger and toenails ;)

I reviewed on Yelp but I figured my experience was so good that more people need to know lol. I was a walk-in and they seated me as soon as I walked through the door. I got a shellac manicure in a pretty pink color, and it lasted 3 whole weeks!!! Ive gotten a ton of compliments on them too. The parking lot is kind of small but its not the worst. Overall very happy with my experience here. I just feel so bad because I forgot to tip!

I was disappointed. I got a mani/pedi for a wedding on sunday. The girl that cut my nails left them very rough. I did not realize until i was sitting in the chair that they dont use a file on your toes. Two days and the nail polish is chipping off my toes. Usually when i get a pedicure the color stays for weeks. Also the lady cutting my toes dug in under the nail and my toe is still bothering me. I sat down at the table and there was a fake nail in front of me so i question if things are cleaned properly. Very disappointing!

All I have to say is, if you have any kind of tint in your skin you will be treated very differently here. I sat and watched as the Caucasians came in, the owner went out of her way to be extremely friendly. I wont be going back there. They obviously dont need my money.

My experience personally was Terrible! Place is fine but the staff suck. I went in for a refill and pedicure and sat down with one of the girls (brown hair with highlights). She was rude from the beginning just because I said out loud that the water was cold. Then I told her that I wanted to cut down and add some powder to a broken toe nail to even it out (she started speaking in her language to the guy sitting next to her and then said $5, I said that is totally fine). Then she pretended she filed my nails, didn’t take out no cuticles, and just down my toe nails expect the 2 big toes (especially the one she added the powder) (wait, huh, I’m confused... but i left it as is and said to myself oh she will probably do it at the end). Okay, then she grabbed scrub for my legs and washed my feet, scrapped the bottom of my foot just a little and then added the hot stone. Okay, l said to myself I’ll let her work the way she works I’m sure she got her ways. But then after all this that I just explained happened (which was within 5 mins) she decides to put my flip flop and nail separator to start to paint my nails.... I was sooo confused because nothing was done and you want to paint my nails? No, thats not going to happen. So I nicely asked and said “sorry ms but are you about to paint my nails now? She replies, yes. I said no, because I still have cuticles, you didn’t file my nails, they have no shape and the toe you added the powder you haven’t done any work. So she got upset and spoke in her with the staff and slammed one of my flip flop and walked away and left me sitting in the chair. The owner didn’t even walk up to me to see what the problem was and how it could of been resolved or sent someone that understood what I was expecting. Instead they just talked in their language and took ouster customers. I left as soon and the two other people I was with were done and didn’t even bother to talk about it. I just know I am NEVER COMING BACK HERE DUE TO MY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THE ENTIRE STAFF. I guess they don’t like to be told what to do even though you have the money. Sticking to my regular place. Not in DORCHESTER.

I went in on 9/12 to get the dip polish and on 9/18 the polish had already came off. Emily (sits in the first chair) does not know the proper way of doing the dip polish or she missed a step or 2. Quite disappointed when youre paying $40. The two stars a for the pedicure and the polish has already came off there as well.. not happy

Went to Mimosa on a Friday afternoon without an appointment and they welcomed us warmly. The parking lot is fairly small so we were lucky to find a spot. The woman who did my manicure was friendly, but the painting was poor -- the second coat did not cover the entire nail. My friend got a gel French mani/pedi that looked beautiful, but it chipped before days end. The environment was nice, but would likely choose somewhere else or go during less busy days.

I like this nail salon, its clean but when you make an appointment with a tech you still end up waiting an hour. They shouldnt take a walk in knowing they have an appointment coming soon.

If you get the right tech this place is great. They have the most nail color choices. I came in today a little before 7 and the manager asked for us to come back it was so busy so we did. I asked if the tech with the cropped hair (Sandy)could do my nails and she answered in their language with an attitude which let me know she didnt want to do mine. Than she had the nerve to tell her American client its almost f^!×*!# 8 but Im not deaf. 5 minutes later she asked if I needed a mani pedi and I told her no thanks. Shes the only chubby one in the place( and Im only saying this to describe her) if your unhappy at work dont take it out on the clients. It was rude and I didnt want to stoop to her level. All in all Helen did my nails was very sweet and did a great job! Watch out for the attitudes in this place.

The best one I been to

Ive always noticed that when white customers come in...theyre greeted cheerfully, even by their first name. This is not the case for black customers. I came in yesterday for lash extensions and they were done horribly. Regretfully, I paid the $60 and reported my dissatisfaction to Emily, the very rude and less than friendly owner. Emily told me to return the next day after 11am. I even called to remind them that Id be coming in..at which point I was told to come in at noon time. Almost an hour later and Im still sitting here. Ive expressed my dissatisfaction repeatedly. I get the feeling that theyre blowinf me off and they hope that I will eventually leave.Well after 45 minutes of waiting.. The same woman who did the horrible job, was assigned to re-do her work! I specifically said that I did not want her! She did an even worse job the second time around. She slapped so much glue and lashes onto my left eye.. It was ridiculous and hard to look at. I showed Emily, and she couldve cared less! Money hungry, unproffessional, and rude people. Never coming here again! And adamantly suggesting that others do not!
