Really good experience here! I got a pedicure from Mimi and it turned out perfectly. Really really neat and careful work.I even smudged one of the nails at the very end on accident and she kindly fixed it for me.The only thing I’d note is that I personally liked the gel/dip color selection more than the regular polish selection.

Came here yesterday to get my nails done! First nail salon I’ve tried in the city and Henry was fabulous! He was super nice and did a great job. The atmosphere is relaxing and the salon is tidy and clean. I will definitely be coming back here to get my nails done again.

The place is very clean, and the staff are really sweet and respectful- which is a plus for me.They seem to strive to do a good job, even if its a little difficult. The building is really and they have beautiful equipment.They have a smaller selection of polish than some other places Ive been, but otherwise Im really impressed with their service. Friendly staff in a clean, relaxing atmosphere. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure for my engagement photos, and it looked just as good after 2.5 weeks as it did on day one. Definitely going back here.

Best set Ive had done. I had gel acrylic nails done and Mimi did an amazing job. Pricey but well worth it. She was very gentle with my hands and I could tell she was trying to be as meticulous as possible. I will definitely be returning!

Kathy, Jason and Mimi are very disrespectful, especially with black customers. Make sure you agree on a price before they do your nails because if they think you are naive, they will add charges that are fraudulent.Kathy is not the best with customer service. If you catch her or her employees up charging you she will get combative, defensive and very disrespectful. I was told “I don’t want to see your face again” because I caught Mimi charging me for things she didn’t mention or the brochure didn’t mention. Make sure you survey ALL reviews….Jason was willing to right the wrong initially until he was bombarded by Kathy. Jason refunded me the money but Kathy was disrespectful over the money they tried to steal from me. If you need a good nail salon, I’d look at the other MV nails & spa, not the one on St.Paul street.

The owners of Mt. Vernon nail spa are both great! I have been a long time client of theirs. Always friendly, professional, clean and on time with their services. Variety of colors and always looking to keep up to date with the latest nails trends.

Neal makes you feel like you are the most important person in the room.He ask the right questions to find out what you want and has the skills to make it happen but is honest,hell let you know if the style you want is possible or not possible with your hair texture,head shape etc!!Love him and his husband Joe!!

This is my go-to nail salon in Baltimore. Everyone is nice and I cant think of any bad experience Ive has there. I hadnt had my nails done for nearly 14 months during the pandemic, so it was nice to come back and get a little pampering done.

I have been a customer of the owners for many years. Jasons designs and Henrys pedicures are amazing. Kathy is wonderful with her designs and manicures too. I just love this salon.

Sooo I first encountered this salon on my birthday (March 17,21). When I called I asked for an appointment so that I can get a full set on the same day. I was told they were booked for the time I needed. I was sad because Of the great reviews. So Kathy actually called me back and squeezed me in! Excited was an understatement honestly! I was seen on time, she greeted me by name and everything. Now her work is A+! My birthday nails looked amazing! QUALITY Over quantity people! I don’t mind spending money on good service. Anywho, I will ALWAYS come to Kathy for my nail needs. Hopefully next time I can experience the pedicures.

I love getting my nails done here! It is easy to get an appointment even with social distancing guidelines. Jan always does a great job on my nails, including when I get designs done. If you show the staff a picture, they are great at recreating it! Highly recommend!

I loved the nails they did for me. They were super nice and friendly and got my nails done in record time. Theyve got great prices AND as a huge plus they have great COVID procedures in place. If youre getting your nails done its the place to go. Another plus is that its a short walk from most places in mount Vernon in Baltimore. This is my new favorite place.

The spa is clean, quiet and professional however both times I’ve gone, i leave disappointed in my experience. Each time I’ve gone, the person doing my feet gives off the impression that they don’t want to really be at work that day. I assume it’s either that i may look out of place in the atmosphere OR i keep choosing the wrong person to do my pedicure. Probably won’t go there again based off of my levels of comfort.

This was my first time going here. I got a pedicure and it was one of the best ones I’ve had in a while. Very clean and all customers have to wash their hands upon entering before picking out a nail color.

I love this place, it is my go to salon. All of the techs except for one are really talented, and you can call day of and still get a good gel set.The first time I came here, my nails were very messed up from another salon, they fixed them really well and did not charge me too much for it.I have been completely satisfied almost every time I have come here, and I am usually shocked by how little manicures cost here for how good they look.Ask for Chanel. She copied a very complicated design for me and did a really good job (see photos), and it barely cost more than a standard gel manicure. All of the techs here are great, the only one out of all of them I do not recommend is Mimi.

Unfortunately Im very disappointed with my experience. This Salon Had me getting my nails done by one tech who quoted me one price and had a 2nd tech take over and tell me a higher price. In the end i paid 92$for something i originally expected to be 62. Not good business... Charged me 92$ for this fullset with no design just acrylics. Would not recommend.

Very disappointed in our experience today. Having been frequent customers prior to COVID, we had received two gift certificates for services December 2019. We didn’t have a chance to use them prior to the pandemic, but went to use them today and presented them as we sat down.Both technicians reviewed the certificates and began our services. As we neared completion they simply disappeared, leaving my wife without sandals to leave the building and leaving me wrapped with towels. Eventually we both wiped ourselves down and went to pay.This is when the manager decided to dispute our gift certificates, saying they “expired” during COVID and demanded that we pay in full as “COVID was hard on everyone”. I can’t dispute that, but if it was a problem you should have let us know before receiving services and we would have taken our business elsewhere.We’ll be doing that from now on as there are plenty of quality salons in the city that aren’t seriously shady.

The people here were very nice and friendly. I chose to come here because of the good reviews. I called before I came and scheduled a time. When I arrived, I was acknowledged and quickly waited on. The inside is very clean, pretty and updated. They did a great job with my daughter and I pedicures and manicure. Everyone wore their face mask and protective shields were in place at each station. This was my first visit here and I definitely plan to return.

Nice salon, very clean and follow covid 19 protocol. We scheduled an appointment and walked right in with no wait. Good manicure and pedicures. A bit pricey for a kids Mani and pedi if you can really call it that. Just pretty much applied polish.

Not all Dipped Nails (SNS Powder) Nails are created equal! Their work is IMPECCABLE, and they last a long time. Both Kathy and Mimi have done my nails and they do excellent work. I ❤ the selection as well, its the best Ive seen. It is easier to Ride Share to this location because parking is a little tricky, but its definitely worth it!

Kathy came highly recommended by several women I know. I have been seeing her steadily for a little over a year now. I started seeing her over in the Mt. Washington shop, and now go to the Mt. Vernon location. What I appreciate the most is the cleanliness of both places. Not some basic neatness, but that look- in-the -corners-and-its-still-clean cleanliness. I always love the shape of my nails and my color (gel) stays for the full two weeks between appointments. Kathy also pushes me out of my comfort zone, and recommends colors for me. I enjoy the ambience, the professionalism, and my nails!

Ive been here twice now and they are AMAZING for decent prices!My nails were a wreck from some place I went too first time. Kathy fixed them up and they felt so great and they stayed neat(no chipping no polish wearing off) for over 2 1/2 weeks!! This time round wasnt Kathy. I cant remember her name but she did a lovely job too! My nails feel FANTASTIC and the color is so beautiful! I highly recommend coming here! Best place in the city I have found!!

Great Service! I was able to to call earlier in the day and get an appointment for late in the evening at 6pm. When I got there I was greeted and told to have a seat I had to wait about 5 min or so until my pedicure began. I got the spa pedicure that was included exfoliation massage and paraffin wax. It was the milk and honey and it smelled and felt amazing!! I will definitely be coming back to see Kathy!!

I have been going to Jason for over 8 years and have followed him everywhere he goes, because he truly is the best of the best! I started when Jason was working at a salon in Canton, then he opened his own salon in Mt. Washington and now Mt. Vernon. I could not be more proud of him and Kathy and highly recommend their salons to everyone! They are the sweetest, most personable and talented people I have ever met and their staff is just as great. Their salons are also the cleanest, most welcoming places I have ever been. Go visit them ASAP! You will be blown away!

Really poor customer service. Arrived an hour before closing time. First impression is everything but clearly not to them. No one bothered to greet me and I actually had to initiate saying hello to them & then they asked (more like told me to be honest) to come back tomorrow claiming they were too booked. I understand needing enough time to provide a service but the way it was handled especially rubbed me the wrong way. I wouldn’t dare come back tomorrow or ever given how they handled that situation. Much rather find a place more welcoming and accommodating.

Rashmi is amazing!!!! So gentle and my nails always look beautiful. I get gel manicure with my natural nails and come in with some serious breaks in my nails from snags and she gets me right together

My overall experience was very awkward. i felt out of place and unwelcome. my nails lifted after a week i have a long vertical crack in my nail (my real nail) as a result of this that goes all the way to the cuticle. i had pictures to show what i wanted and everything and i didn’t get any of that. just a plain pink with a mediocre shape that didn’t last at all. more expensive than most places in baltimore with work that doesn’t reflect that.

I have been getting my nails done by Jason since 2015 when I first moved to Baltimore and he is AMAZING!!!!! He really listens and does my nails exactly the way I ask for it. The new salon is great and the color selection is top notch!! I would highly recommend this salon to everyone as the experience and service you get there is truly different than any other nail salon.

I just recently moved to Bmore from the DC area and I am desperately lookin for a good nail salon for my birthday weekend.. I called this salon and ask how much was their GEL FULL SET and I was told 35, so I set up a appointment..When I arrived I was greeted, atmosphere very calm and soothing. As I sit to get my nails done the 1st lady Ms Sarah started my nails and then moved over to someone else and I was not giving a reason as to why. So now Ms Chanel is doing my nails and I showed her what I wanted and she stated that it will be 70 dollars for a gel full set with almond shape, I was baffled!! Apparently gel manicures is 35 which is ridiculous and gel full set start at 50.. very expensive compared to DC.. At this point I was over it but I needed my nails done and since I traveled there and made appointment I got a acrylic set no polish because I like to change my color... The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because Ms Chanel was very patient and did a good job every step of the way.. unfortunately because of the whole experience in general I didn’t give a tip because I didn’t walk out with the style I wanted...

I really wanted to love this place, I dont.Let me just list the pros and cons here.& let me mention Im typing w a broken nail 12 hours after visit.Pros - great neighborhood, assessable to the belt way, beautiful environment, very friendly staff members, beautiful nail shades, creative designs, quality polish colors & most importantly... Great Yelp Reviews.Cons - 1 day later Im still picking gel from under my nails, street metered parking (inexpensive), the hidden fees that are free courtesies everywhere else (Charged $5 for nail fix that was clearly a glue/ powder fix), not being offered a soft drink when the website screams offering of soft drinks, lack of punctuality (I waited 27 minutes after my appointment time to be seen which made me late to anniversary dinner with my husband), rush job throughout pedicure & no suggested selling of callus remover & I know I need callus remover but you cant use it if you only do a pedicure 20 minutes.The gentleman was so rough w the nail tools while removing gel polish that my nail beds were sore. I didnt say anything just hoping he was almost finished.I did appreciate the fact that they completely soak off gel polish and dont use machine.Sooo I went back to have nail fixed mentioned earlier and MiMi took great care of me. She assessed the situation and used powder to seal the slit.Great experience!I walked right in, had this taken care of and left in less than 15 minutes!!Everything happens for a reason because prior to returning for nail fix, I was hell bent on not returning. I now would return and request MiMi or another female for assistance.Ok, ANOTHER nail slit 24 hrs after initial set. This nail was 1 of 2 that I paid to have corrected. I called to inform staff of mishap.They handled it the best way they saw fit and invited me back to the spa for fixture. I explained Im not returning due to the inconvenience, parking situation and time being taken but wanted to request they educate the gentleman who completed my services so no other customers have the same experience.Now its 27 hours after initial visit and BOOM, the other nail paid for repair from last night has slit.Nope... dont recommend !!

I always leave here very satisfied with the work, the prices is good, the technicians very patient and professional highly recommend this nail salon but for the past few months they been charging more and more money now they have standard size and and shape ( not caring that you like it or not ) and if you ask for something different you get charge extra $5 for every demand ( gave me the feeling like i was been demanding) anyway be prepared to pay $65 just for a full set of nails without gel, attitude and bad customer service

The woman who did my mani/pedi did a good job. She did cut a toe or two, as well as a finger. I didnt like that they assumed I didnt want acrylic. No one ever asked, and she started without asking. The lady who started me did not know how to do acrylic either so someone else added the nail. Once they put the acrylic nail on, they didnt allow me to wash my hands and rinse the residue off. She buffed and went straight to painting them. They also charge per nail for acrylic/overlay which is a first that Ive seen. Im not sure if all salons usually do this. I dont usually get acrylic, my nails are naturally long. But I have had it in the past, and its not usually per nail. Also, my card was possibly charged an additional charge. Im still waiting for the amount to go back on to my card. Im not saying its a bad place to go to, but Im not necessarily recommending it either.

He is a very kind, patient technician, and has many years of experience. Again, I highly recommend this nail salon.
