Primarily a spa. I have a complex TMJ disorder that was too complicated for them to treat. It looks like a good place. It’s different than most dental offices. However I was recommended to see another doctor because they didn’t feel comfortable treating me. Very disappointed. At least they recommended me somebody they believe could help.

I came to Dr. Winters and his team unconfident with my smile and hoping to get some veneers to cosmetically fix the things I didn’t like. They did a full consultation and we ended up deciding that going in and starting at the foundation was going to give me the best, lasting results that I was looking for. Adult braces was a big leap from what I had originally planned, but the entire team has been amazing and supportive and communicative the entire journey. We’re a little less than half way through but I couldn’t be more satisfied with my choice of skilled professionals or their informed plan of action for me. The results I’m already seeing are amazing. It’s a bonus that I feel like family every time I step into the office. Apprehensive about the dentist? Fear not because they’ve got weighted blankets at your request, or you can even schedule a hand/foot massage to keep you relaxed. They truly provide it all.

Dr Winters is very knowledgeable. He patiently explained the situation with my teeth and suggested three courses of action. Together we were able to decide on what was appropriate for me. I highly recommend Dr Winters.

Dr. Winters and his staff are amazing. He is a perfectionist and does truly excellent dental work. The single-sitting crown procedure minimizes the pain and trauma of getting major work done. They are also understanding of my sensory issues and keep objectionable materials away from me. Highly recommend this practice!

My teeth and I are now 70+ years old and have seen a lot of dentists and hygienists over the years, and Sierra is definitely the best hygienist I have ever had. I go to Hills Dental several times/year and am very satisfied with their services. Dr. Winters is outstanding as well.

Dr. Winters and his team have gone above and beyond to make all of my appointments very comfortable and stress free. I am not a fan of going to the dentist and I know I show it haha, but going to this dental office makes it so much easier and they truly are a pain-free dentistry. A huge plus at this office is that they have a spa which I always get a massage from Carol after my appointment and its amazingggg. Definitely recommend going if youre looking for a place to go.

In Feb 2021 I woke up with my jaw completely unable to open (turns out I wore my TMJ down to the bone, my disc was almost slipped out of place, and my bite was completely off to the right side). I never had any jaw problems before that, so it was a complete surprise to me, and absolutely debilitating. I had appts with other dentists without the care or results I was hoping for and was finally referred to Dr. Winters and told he was “the best TMJ specialist around”. That was 100% the truth!! The staff worked with my budget and talked me through a variety of options until I found something I was comfortable with, laid out a plan of action, and got my treatment started immediately. The jaw orthotic he made for me has changed my life, I’m back to where I was before the incident and I will be making Dr. Winters my forever dentist, even for routine appts (even though he’s a 45 min drive each way for me!). Not only is he the best, but every member of his staff are a reflection of him as well. Carol, who performs the neuromuscular massages, has improved my posture- my neck and back feel brand new leaving my appts with her. I work in a hospital so it’s very important for me to feel my best physically to keep up, and Dr. Winters and his staff have proved time and time again that they can and will take amazing care of me. Will never be able to thank you all enough!!

Ive been going to the Hills for years and loved all of the past and current staff. I just had a cleaning with Sierra for the first time. She is awesome! Such a gentle touch and positioned me in the chair so that the entire experience was comfortable and relaxing. I highly recommend her if you have a hard time with dental cleanings like I have had in the past.

Carol is a fantastic massage therapist! She is attentive to what you ask for. But her experience also shows in how attuned she is in finding the trouble spots you weren’t aware of. I highly recommend her!

I have had 2 appointments with Dr. Winters at the Hills Dental Spa and he and his staff are friendly and professional. Dr. Winters is very professional and was able to replace a broken crown that same day and it fits PERFECT! I will continue to be a patient and recommend them highly.

I accompanied someone to her dental visit as a caretaker and was not offered a lead vest, exposed to radiation to keep my client safe during her dental visit. This dentist and staff only value the health and well being of paying clients, not attendants & caregivers.

My wife developed debilitating TMJ symptoms during her pregnancy that continued to worsen into postpartum. She tried physical therapy, Botox, etc and nothing worked until she found The Hills Dental Spa. They are warm and welcoming, remember you by name and care about your well-being. They did an in-depth evaluation and laid out all the options for her, with recommendations. She ended up going with a daytime and nighttime orthotic appliance, as recommended and within 48 hours of wearing she noticed significant improvement and relief in her symptoms. Especially in the overwhelming pressure/pain in her temple area. She’s been wearing the orthotic for 1.5 months now and her symptoms are pretty much gone. She can’t thank Dr. Winters and his staff enough. They drastically improved her quality of life.

They are, quite simply, the best. The staff, the hygienists, the dentists, and the facilities are all excellent. I haven’t had dental care this good since I was a small boy and dentists had their practices in their own houses. This is not an exaggeration, and I am extremely hard to please. I simply do *not* give out five-star reviews.The one down side is that you must pay in advance, and be reimbursed by your insurance. But they file the paperwork for you, and can “roll” your reimbursement payments into future care if you like. And IMO the level of care is absolutely worth it.This is the gold standard of dental care in Austin, in my opinion.

Amazing dental practice with a relaxing atmosphere. The bonus is that they offer massages there as well so you can schedule to have a relaxing massage after your dental appointment. The massage therapist is so good, so I often go in just for a massage!

Very clean and safe. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love the relaxing environment- it makes going to the dentist that much more enjoyable. I also received a bite guard from Hills Dental Spa, and it is so helpful! The guard helps with recession and jaw clenching. I have noticed a huge difference! ALWAYS a pleasure to visit Dr. Winters and his team! My son and I drive from DFW to Austin every 4-6 weeks for our orthodontics and that is a very conscious choice. There are hundreds of dentists in Texas that can “straighten” your teeth and we drive right past them because Dr. Winters not only continues to educate himself as well as his team, he educates other dentists and his patients to understand how your smile is WAY MORE than just straight and white teeth. I highly recommend Serene Hills Dentistry!! Starting with the welcoming reception walking through the front door throughout my visit, everyone makes me feel welcomed and cared for until I have left the building. I am one who does not particularly like going to the Dentist and they always make sure that I am comfortable while being treated. From TVs overhead to distract you from your service and massaging chairs to ease you. I just came from there thinking I had 2 old fillings to be replaced (so my last Dentist was going to have me do) but was told it was not at all necessary at this time. I cannot say enough how appreciative I am for not making me have treatments not needed. They even have options to work with you if you do not have insurance. All big SMILES from me for providing me with such excellent care & being honest.

Ive been to the Hills Dental spa twice now and I love going there! They pay attention to all the little details from start to finish. Like water, tea, and snacks in the waiting room and a hot pad for your neck to help you relax during your cleaning and dental services. I have been going to different dentists for years and have yet to find a dentist with excellent customer care and the latest in dentistry. The Hills dentistry team often goes to weekend trainings around the country to better their services. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist or on the fence about getting dentistry services!

Ive been going here for many years. They are always professional and do a great job. I finally went for my first appointment during Covid and felt that they did a great job making it as safe as possible. UV lights at night. Separate rooms. Masks. No waiting in the office, but texting when you can come up. I felt very safe and cared for.

Had another good experience at The Hills Dental Spa. I have been getting cleanings here for 2 years. I book the hands and feet massage to be performed during my cleaning and it really helps reduce anxiety during the process. All staff is friendly. COVID check-in procedure was to text from parking lot. I immediately received a text to come into the office, there was no additional wait time. Completed typical temperature and questionnaire screening upon arrival.

When I had questions, they had answers. We cleared up schedu)ing issues. Teeth cleaning was good.

I have never been disappointed with his work, his knowledge and ability to explain and execute a plan to give me the best results regarding all things my teeth. He knows his stuff and I can tell he loves what he does. His staff is consistently professional, kind, and try to anticipate your needs. Like most people, I hated going to the dentist. Now, I dont even think twice. I was cajoled into getting unnecessary X-rays w my cleaning only 18 months from when I had them last because the new dentist who bought the practice “had never examined your teeth”. I only went in for the cleaning. The ADA recommends dental X-rays every 24-36 months for adults who take good care of their teeth and have low risk of cavities. I even mentioned this and still they continued to aggressively guilt me until i acquiesced.The new dentist spoke to me at length about work the prior dentist had done. The nice hygienist who took over cleaning my teeth said “oh it’s unfortunate that we only have half the original appointment left” as if once the five I clock bell rang, there was no way a thorough job could be done. She repeatedly said “this is the best I can do given the time we have left but we ll do a more thorough job next time” (in 6 months).Suffice it to say, there will not be a repeat visit for such work. I am a busy professional and while I get regular cleanings, they may NOT be every 6 months on the dot. She then turned around and charged me the full $210 for perfunctory work.Beware of this office and possibly bought reviews. There is a new dentist here and he is not shy about pushing superfluous services.I was never told by the old dentist he was leaving despite spending several thousand (several several) on veneers. They have a responsibility to patients: Veneers often need tweaking and replacement in a decade or less.Unfortunately, trusting dentists is not easy. These two have made it tougher on future dentists.

Dr. Nemec and his team of the most wonderful and caring people in the dentistry world will be the best experience you will ever have the chance to actually enjoy in a dental office!!! I have referred friends and co-workers there for years and everyone comes back to me thanking me for the referral! Its a dentist office? Yes, it is! Enjoy!
