I hadnt been to the dentist in over 30 years until I had to yesterday for severe tooth pain. I had known about Austin Dental when my son used them many years ago so I called them and they got me in right away! Everyone was so friendly and the office was very clean. I was very nervous about the visit but everyone made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Dr. Lane and Suzanne took very good care of me and pulled my cracked wisdom tooth. I appreciate their pragmatic, conservative, approach to care - they were honest and didn’t try to add services I didn’t need. I saw a lot of good reviews on google. so I called and they told me they accept PPO insurance and I made an appointment for general dental cleaning. In the beginning, the one who takes me was very friendly, but she asked me to do deep cleaning after checking my teeth, I told her that I did not have time to do deep cleaning today. but She KEPT asking me to complete it today. I refused many times. Her attitude became very unfriendly, then i had a very rough cleaning, which made me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable., I received the bill today. General cleaning asked me to pay 239 after insurance...

During my visit today, Dr. Marino was super nice and took extra time to make sure that my night guard fit properly. I love the way he takes time make sure everything is just right. He has a great sense of humor too.Today I got my cleaning by Rene. She was very patient with me. She didnt mind all of my little time consuming issues and she was really nice.I highly recommend the entire staff at Austin Dental. Everyone is always very kind, professional and helpful.

Austin Dental is awesome. Their technology seems really up to date, they have equipment that makes the visits as fast and as comfortable as possible. Was visiting from Wisconsin when my crown from an implant let loose. They were able to get me in in a couple of hours and re-cement it. Dr. Marino and the dental assistant were great. I’d recommend this dental practice.

I recently moved to Austin from Seattle and knew that I needed some dental work done ASAP. I’ve been a patient of Austin Dental for a few years. I first went to Austin Dental because I had issues with one of my molars. I had visited other dentists and none could propose a solution without removing the molar.I met with Dr Lane, at Austin Dental, who said it was possible to save the molar. I think the difference was that Dr Lane is actually certified in dental surgery (his licensing and certification is on the wall).It was a successful procedure and he was able to save the molar. That was several years ago. Dr Lane is a great dentist and dental surgeon who can solve tough problems with creative solutions.I still go do Austin Dental for teeth cleaning and regular maintenance. The entire team is awesome, from the front desk and support teams to the dental staff, everyone is great.I also have to give a shout out to Dr Lane’s dental assistant, Suzanne. She’s very professional, friendly, and informative. Suzanne is awesome.I highly recommend Austin Dental.

I am a fairly new patient to Austin Dental but since day one I felt very taken care of. Nothing but the highest recommendation for this practice from my sibling. Made an appointment with Aileen and she was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. When I called to reschedule, the staff member (not Aileen) bullied me into providing her my insurance info, despite me reiterating I knew that my insurance would not work at the practice. Aileen called to confirm my appointment and wanted to let me know that my insurance would not work at the practice (duh). I appreciate the COVID-19 precautions, but I was not called to enter the building for almost 10 minutes after my appointment time. While nice, my hygienist, Nan, was newly returned to the practice and unfamiliar with the new patient intake procedures. Shes literally going to other hygienists looking for SOP paperwork on what photos she needs to take of me. We should have been next up for the panoramic X-ray, but the lack of knowledge delayed us to our turn, twice. In the meantime a pH test of my mouth leads to the first of many up-sell pitches, and no questions about what Id eaten that morning (coffee, which is acidic and probably lead to the pH anomaly). Panoramic X-ray was considered clinically unhelpful because the images were so poor. Nan advised me to pin up my hair next time because it caused a problem (my teeth are in the front of my head, my hair, while large, is in the back) in taking the image. I have had this X-ray done before at other practices, and Ive never had a problem. Up-selling again for deep cleaning and scaling. Finally met Dr. Olivares, and was advised that an anomaly on my X-rays will need to be remedied by a root canal and periodontics skin grafts. Interestingly enough, that anomaly is on x-rays at the two dental practices Ive used in the last 13 years, and this is the first time Id been advised to get a root canal. I concurred with the periodontal advice, but the urgency was concerning. The information was interesting and I left with expensive treatment advise for a mouth that is well taken care of and in great condition with no reported problems. While I respect the expertise and the plight of small businesses in this COVID-19 environment, the relentless up-sell left me turned off. The fact that a new patient intake took 2 hours, unnecessarily, completed the experience.

I have been a patient with Austin Dental for about 20 years now. Dr. Willis, Susie, and Mary are so nice, professional, and courteous, as well as the sweet and helpful staff in the front. Always take good care of me every time. A few weeks ago, I had a tooth pain and they were able to fit me in within such a short notice with Dr. Marino since Dr. Willis was off that day. After the examination, I needed a specialist. They helped me to locate and even called around to find the earliest appointment for me, which they did. Thank you all!!! Very very pleased.

Dr. O and every person I encountered during my multiple visits worked well with me. I suffer from anxiety and the dentist sends me running for the hills. They worked hard to make sure I was comfortable and that means the world to me. Im so happy we found them, and my cavities got taken care of properly. I cant recommend them enough!!

The experience and facility was nice. Doctor Jordan and Ashley were really nice and helpful. However I didn’t really appreciate or understand why I paid $142.00 for an 2 min procedure. I was there a total of 15minutes and paid that price. I had a permanent retainer bracket, just the bracket to be removed. (Took 20 seconds) and a polish on my lower side, that I also didn’t wanna do but Jordan said it was her gift to me. (45 seconds to polish) they claimed it was an emergency visit when I questioned the price because when I called a day ago 5/18/20 I was told if it was quick it could be considered a complimentary visit if I were to come back for a cleaning. I brought that up and it was turned down. I wasn’t bleeding or in pain at all. My tongue just brushed against the metal at most, I didn’t expect not to pay anything or accept a free visit. But a $142.00 is just highway robbery and unfair for the situation I was in. I would of came back for a cleaning since I’m due for one and my normal dentist is closed but I just don’t wanna get robbed again and have to accept it.

A great team, that saw me the same day my fake tooth popped out. I was in and out within 60 minutes.

Great experience. The dental hygienist Violeta was awesome and super knowledgeable! She did a great job and made me feel at ease during the entire process. The Dr. is very professional, friendly, and clearly cares for his patients. I live pretty far from Austin Dental but I am willing to make the drive because they are that good. Billing is very transparent and I know it may not matter much but love the layout of facing the window when you are on the chair. It’s pretty calming which is a plus. Highly highly recommend this place.

Yesterday Dr. Lane and Suzanne filled several teeth for me, then Lindsay completed my plan with the cleaning; Diana topped it off with a much needed prayer...actually thats how my appointment began..with prayer. This place is utterly amazing. They are concerned with the WHOLE person. As a Nurse, I love that they report off to the next person who sees you. The staff is warm, kind, caring and extremely professional. This is not just a dental office, this is our Dental family.

For this very terrified-of-dentists 55 year old, I have to say that if YOU fall into any of that category from fear or age or even embarrassment that you havent gone in years, then look no further. I was finding myself starting to have some problems from some issues that had gone unattended to in many years, and I chose this office partially because of listing within my area (close to home) and because of their participation in a very particular process that ive been looking at (PerioProtect) and made my appointment. From the first visit, they went out of their way to make me comfortable and welcome, and Dr. O is a prime example of what you hope a dentist will be when it comes to not only explaining, in detail, what is wrong but also extremely informative with what needs to happen to make you well again. We put a 3 phase approach into place, and today was day 1 of the first phase. I made my decision to actually go forward simply on the strength of Nikos excellent and gentle manner in my initial consultation in combination of my first meeting with Dr. O. Today was scaling & planing Part 1, and I was still scared, but that dissipated within minutes with Billie, my hygienist for this portion, and again, with Dr. O. I was so very comfortable in the process I actually nodded off while the work was being done. My fear of the shots needed was taken care of when I was given gel that numbed the inside of my mouth to the point where I did not feel them - after that, the rest was a piece of cake.This is not just from the assistance of drugs or numbing agents; those things helped, but everyone in this office has made me feel like Patient #1 when Im there, and I cannot express how this has made a difference in approaching this much needed set of procedures. They make it apparent that they actually care about you, and theres not one ounce of phoniness or insincerity, and that is such a rare thing these days.I can highly highly recommend Austin Dental to anyone looking to find a dentist. Eight thumbs up.**11/15/2020 Followup.Ive been going here for 6-7 weeks now (theres a lot of work to be done, lol!) and Im so happy to update this menu with only that the service I raved about in that initial review wasnt a one-off. I almost feel like I could hang out for lunch break with them - theyre all so nice. Its made a huge difference in my overall thoughts about my personal dentistry needs and I couldnt be happier. There have already been several procedures that weve started in motion and Ive felt good about each of them. They were even able to fit me in within a days notice from notifying them on Sunday that there was something that needed adjusting. Some places will put the nice treatment on you a few times to capture you initially but it usually seems that feeling or attempt goes away. I have not experienced that in the least here and I think that youd feel the same way too, especially if you started off as uncomfortable or downright scared to go to the dentist. If you have problems and do not fix them, your overall health can really suffer - since beginning these needed treatments, I have physically also felt better than I have in a long long while. Its all connected.

I cant say enough good things about Austin Dental and their entire staff. Every person that I encountered there - from the front desk personnel, to the assistant, hygienists, and dentist - were all INCREDIBLY friendly, knowledgable, and honest/straight-forward. 5 stars all around!

First time coming to a dentist in 10+ years! I was amazed on their team coordination, sharp as a tack. Little nervous coming but that was gone with the positive energy coming from the same people helping me. Anybody coming in for their first time in a while, don’t look anywhere else. Austin Dental has the best staff to care for your teeth! I have been going to them for over seven years (I am 26) and in that time I have gotten a top and bottom permanent retainer, had my wisdom teeth removed, several Invisalign retainers made (I lost one to the dog and another to the dryer), many semi-annual check-ups and cleanings, and a couple fillings.Having my wisdom teeth taken out was something that I knew would be difficult going in since I have vasovagal syncope which causes me to overreact to certain triggers and faint; in this case lidocaine syringes. I had one near episode through no fault of Dr. Olivares (these episodes are hard to predict). He and Suzanne did everything they could to make me comfortable as my body calmed down such as escorting me to the bathroom to put some water on my face. As often happens at my appointments with Austin Dental, I was impressed.Through all of that, Dr. Lane, Dr. Olivares, Suzanne, Diana, and Lindsay, as well the hygienists have been more professional and kinder than I could ever have expected. Despite myself not being the best at handling the more involved procedures, I always look forward to coming in to see how my teeth are doing and correct what could be improved upon. The front desk staff make scheduling appointments super easy and I am always called back promptly and on-time. Text and email appointment reminders and easy billing tops everything off.Your teeth are in excellent hands and yes, I have a GREAT smile thanks to these people!

The staff is amazing here! They listen to feedback and have taught me how to properly take care of my teeth. I have crowded teeth in the front which is a constant struggle, but with practice its manageable. I highly recommend this dental office.

I found this wonderful dental office through my daughter who was already a patient!! Both the woman at the front desk ( Diane, I think) and Shay were the first people I came into contact with and they are both so friendly and warm, professional and kind. Shay took the x-rays and supervised all of the other exams on my teeth. She has an amazing personality and skills and put me at such ease. Both Shay and Dr Roland did my dental work today and I found him to be so caring as well. I have truly found my new “home” for dental care after moving here from back east a few months ago.

Honesty is the best policy and that’s what you get. No surprises, quality dentistry and great patient care from the administrative to clinical staff. Everyone is courteous, pleasant and professional. 😊

I came in for the $99 special and saw Susie and Dr. Roland. I spent most of the time with Susie. She was wonderful. Very kind, super knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. Dr. Roland was very nice and made me feel confident in my decision to come here. The office is beautiful and clean. I will be back next week for my cleaning. I am excited 😁

I hadn’t been to a dentist in over 10 years.I neglect smiling with teeth showing !I was made comfortable and given hope. The whole staff from the front desk to all dental assistants are efficient and friendly . DR Willis came up with a plan for my teeth that I’m thrilled to begin . Dr. Olivares and his staff are amazing! Went in for a quick question and maybe set up and appointment for a second opinion. They were able to squeeze me in and see me within minutes. Not saying that this happens all the time, but the fact that they were willing to take me in for a quick consultation was great. I felt at ease and didnt feel overwhelmed by questions (insurance or personal). I was able to set up my appointment and I will definitely be coming back in the future.

My hygienist Violeta did an amazing job! She made sure that I was comfortable & addressed all of my concerns throughout the cleaning. For example, I was having gum sensitivity so she adjusted the water temperature while cleaning and rinsing(big deal for anyone with sensitive gums!). She was thorough, but got me in and out in a reasonable amount of time. I dont think Ive ever left a dental visit with my mouth feeling as clean as it did after my appointment with her. My mouth felt so clean I didnt want to eat for the rest of the day!! She was professional and had a pleasant demeanor that made me feel welcome. I can actually say I am looking forward to my next cleaning! Thank you Austin Dental!

The Dental staff at Austin Dental is top notch. My 6 year old child loves to go there. They make her feel at ease. My dental hygienist, Billy, Dr. Hoppy Lane are the greatest. The entire staff is extremely friendly and always with a kind word. I would definitely recommend Austin Dental to anyone looking for a new dentist or wanting to change dentists.

Austin Dental is Incredible! They made me feel like family from the time I walked in till the time I left. The doctor was very good at explaining everything I needed done and how he was going to do it. The whole experience was top notch. Im sad my new insurance isnt accepted there because I really want to go back.

I have been going to Austin Dental since 2000. I lived in Houston for a year but refused to go anywhere else so I made the drive to Austin for my biannual dental work. My visits to Austin Dental are always pleasant from the moment I walk in the door. The office staff is friendly and efficient. Billie has been my dental hygienist for many years. She is the best hygienist. There is no discomfort and she as very thorough. Additionally, she is absolutely kind and personable. Dr. Willis is also very good. Ive had filling and crown work done with her and am always pleased with recovery and outcome. I will continue to visit Austin Dental and always recommend them to friends and family.

Thanks Austin Dental for taking care of our family members teeth for 17years. Dr. Oliver is best dentist in Austin. All their employees there are professional and friendly. The hygienist Violeto is extremely professional and helpful. She takes her time with patients, answer all their questions with great patience. Detect all the issues patients might have and discussed with the dentist, and provide patients the best solutions and suggestions. She even taught me how to brush my teeth with manual toothbrush in a correct way, which made me find out that I have been brushing my teeth all in a wrong way for nearly 40 years. Thanks Violeto❤️

After over 35 years there, I move from Dallas to Austin. I loved my dentist in Dallas and actually drove between Dallas and Austin to stay with him as I was having implants. I asked my Dallas dentist if he recommended anyone in Austin who equaled his standards and customer service, and immediately it was Dr. Hoppy Lane at Austin Dental. I had my first visit recently due to an infected tooth. Great experience! Everyone is so friendly, so customer service oriented and now that Im paying out-of-pocket since Im on Medicare...I thought the prices are very reasonable. Im so happy to find such a good dentist and staff.
