I called Austin Midtown to get info and pricing for my upcoming relocation to Austin. The woman who I spoke to was so nice, helpful, and professional. Sounds like a great community and although I don’t think I qualify due to my pet I really appreciated she gave me lots of helpful info about Austin and options for me. Great customer service. Thank you Austin Midtown and Isabella!
Ive rented in Austin for more than 30 years, and the Austin Midtown Apartments management and maintenance staff are superb, as evidenced in many ways, but especially during our recent snow storm and power outages. In addition, everyday fast, reliable responses, extremely professional and concerned. Cynthia Y. is the best management person Ive ever known and has created a real community atmosphere here. The property itself is a great value for this part of town and the updated apartments are very spacious and well done. A friend of mine who has built several homes exclaims over the thick kitchen granite and interior wall trim. Thanks, AMA staff for showing old fashioned professionalism and customer service, even during a snow storm and a pandemic!
Pros: its been a year since i lived in this community and i had a very good experience overall, no complaints! The staff is very responsive and helpful (Amanda and Dave). The community is kept very well and the turn around time for any service request was always addressed very quick and efficiently. It was also very convenient as most of the big grocery stores and restaurants are in walking distance. very close to downtown and domain. I was a little skeptical before i moved here as i toured with few other apartments around this area and i think i made the right choice.Cons:As good as everything else is the apartments are pretty old.- They might have upgraded the units but they do not have a built-in microwave so the one i bought took most of my counter space.- The flooring is pretty bad, this might be old wood and sometimes when water spilled the floor would chip in few places, the floor is uneven i realized that when i laid out my furniture.- i had to clean almost every week to keep my apartment clean - theres some kind of weird dust i saw in this apartment, i have no idea where it comes(May be the AC vents) and piles up from every week which was very annoying. i had lived in wooden floor apartments and did not face that issue before. this is one of the main reason i dint want to continue as my apartment always feels unclean with the wood and dust.
Terrible. Absolutely useless management and maintenance when there are actual issues. When we had problems with other tenants, including harassment, or other safety issues, they were of no help. When 2021 winter storms hit, they did nothing for residents. Only messaged out empty platitudes. However, they think they’re doing a bang up job because they hold pet costume contests. This property management company is a joke. Do NOT move here
I’ve lived here for over 6 months and have found the management to be very responsive and friendly. The property is well-kept and maintenance requests (although rarely needed) are handled quickly. I love the location as I can walk to grocery stores, restaurants bars. My unit is upgraded and very nice and the rent is super affordable especially for this area of town. I love there’s a dog park on the property as well! Overall, it’s been a great experience.
How could anyone leave this place a good review? Prices for a 2 bedroom range from $1400 to $4500 a mont! FORTY FIVE HUNDRED A MONTH!!! Do yourself a favor and go 3-5 miles away from this location and you can get 3 bedroom homes with your own yard, garage, etc. for $1600 a month. The prices here are literally ROBBERY! I mean they are offensive!
I had a wonderful experience with the team at Midtown. Corey took great care of me when I started moving in. I had to move in the heat of June and Corey was extra accommodating with my work schedule and the weather. I also had great interactions with Kahmeel, Amanda and Daniel. When I had a couple minor repairs that needed to be done in my new apartment, they took care of them immediately. I highly recommend Midtown Apartments. The staff is great and my new apartment is exactly what I wanted!
Been living here for the past couple months now, location is amazing (cant be beat), staff is very friendly and helpful, the grounds are always well kept, and everyone here is so friendly and welcoming!
I have had a great experience at Austin Midtown! After living here for two years I cannot recommend Austin Midtown enough. CWS does a great job managing the property, they really do care about their residents. The maintenance team is very prompt and attentive to our issues. Thanks Sara and the rest of the team for making our stay in Austin great!
My husband and I moved to Austin back in November and had two days to find a place to live. He stumbled upon Austin Midtown, and their exceptional service had us in our apartment in 1 day... and the amazing team didnt stop there! From handling maintenance requests in less than 24 hrs, helping us find renter friendly bike racks, door package delivery at Christmas, and so much more that the team does for its tenants, we couldnt be happier with the gem we found! If we do not buy a home next year, we will definitely be renewing our lease and will certainly recommend to friends! Keep it up yall, your tenants truly appreciate it and you make renting in the city worth every penny!
I had a good tour in this apartment complex. Thanks to Dave, friendly and useful staffs.
Im coming up on a year of living at Austin Midtown. Ive been satisfied with management and the property.
Weve been here for a year and we really love it here. The locations great, and the units are really nicely renovated. Maintenance is always really prompt and really thorough, and the office people are great too! Highly recommend.
Great place to live and the staff is great too! Everyone should check this place out before leasing an apartment because it’s a hidden gem.
I have had an amazing experience at Austin Midtown from the day I took a tour throughout the two years Ive lived there. Sara knew commuting was an issue for me, so she spent the time going through bus routes and traffic patterns while I was looking at the property, even though she wasnt my leasing agent. The extra time she took to ensure that this was the right fit for me made my decision easy. I moved in to an apartment above a heavy smoker, and the office staff was completely understanding of my difficulty with the environment and facilitated an easy and convenience move. The maintenance staff is always quick to respond and very friendly. The property staff made us feel like we were part of a community and took the time to get to know us personally. I am very sad to be moving on from this complex because it was a wonderful experience all around!
This place doesn’t make sense. Two separate addresses? N and F?You really need to fix this property.
Wow, I am shocked about some of these reviews, I am not even sure we are talking about the same place. CWS took over this complex that if they had not, I would probably not be here. You can tell by the condition of the exterior and such (before the remodel) the old owners were in it for the money and not with keeping up with the times.I have never seen a homeless person walking around on the property in my one year of living here. Yes you can hear some of your neighbors some of the times, but it is an apartment. Rent is going up because the area is booming with expansion. I have had the hot water go out about 3 times in the last year, it was still warm, just not hot and I will take that over a small hot water heater in my unit taking up space. The reason they asked us to remove everything from the patios was due to the construction. Yes, it was noisy, they warned us about that, but they got each building done in two weeks. Which if it means getting rid of the old yellow stucco I am all for it. The remodel looks great, very nicely done and with higher end touches like LED exterior lights.I have called to have my place sprayed for bugs two times and they have a guy that comes through weekly and will spray for you, all you need to do is ask.Now that I addressed most of the issues in the lower review I can get to why I love this place. My apartment is a larger remolded 1b1b unit with concrete floors and I love it. Yes these units were built in the 70s so they dont have that new fresh built apartment smell; but that is good, because I actually hate that. But when you compare price, location, washer and dryer hook ups in the unit, you cannot beat this place. The staff is awesome, Sarah and LaShawn are the two women I work with when in the office and they are always quick to resolve any issue or question I have. They have even called me up personally when they knew I had an item shipped to me, told me it arrived and asked if I wanted them to deliver it to my unit since they know I work later than office hours. That was above and beyond of anything I have received or even thought of asking for. These guys shocked me with service because they know how to deliver awesome customer service. The community is very quiet, safe and relaxed. I have had nothing but a fantastic experience with my neighbors, even with the random ones I run into that walk their dogs around the complex. From what I can see, I am the strange one here since I do not have a dog. They just finished remodeling the exterior of my building today and the place looks amazing from the exterior now and I am super excited again to call it home. The maintenance staff deserves a big high five also, these guys 1) know what they are doing 2) super helpful and 3) have helped me when I have seen them on the property. I asked them if I could get a flapper for my toilet since it was running all day randomly. He stopped what he was doing (which I think was going on a break) and said he would take care of it. That next moment he had the new flapper I needed and installed it for me. I had a few more concerns that I wanted looked at (minor things, an outlet cover wasn’t flush and minor things) he was more than happy to help me and told me to just send him an email from the web next time since that goes to his phone that is the quickest way to reach him.For sure there are nicer places with bells and whistles (Hot tubs, cinemas, gift wrapping stations, car washes), but I wanted an apartment place that was quite, washer and dryer hookups, that I can relax at, call home and walk to The Alamo Draft House and Hop Dotty’s.These people at Austin Midtown Apartments have the best service I have had at any complex I have lived at in Austin. They are the reason I will continue to renew my lease over and over again. So don’t let these bad reviews take this complex off your list of places to look at.
We have been living in Austin Midtown Apartments for more than 6 months and like the location and positive service provided by the management office. We have filed and called the office for several service requests and the requests have been taken care of almost immediately most of the time. It is a great location for downtown commute (20-25 mins most times including peak traffic) using Burnet and Lamar which helps avoid the bottlenecks including Mopac.
Homeless people hang around this complex. In fact, the Management didnt do anything to keep the complex exclusive to residents. I saw a beggar lady from the mopac bridge get in the pool with her jeans and t-shirt. There were scabs, paper napkins and other disgusting debris floating in the pool. On the weekends, you can see cars drive up with people from who-knows-where... 8-10 people get in the pool and nobody lives here. I picked up a terrible case of foot fungus from this pool.DogCrap EVERYWHERE! If its not on the grass, someone will be placing it in a trashbin by the mailboxes, where it sits in the sun. So everytime you get the mail it freaking stinks to high hell.Despite their marketing attempt, they dont have a gym. Its like 4 home workout machines in a 100sqft extra room connected to the leasing office. You will be able to hear EVERYTHING from the neighbors upstairs and next door. We have a yapping dog and a family of 5 living in the bedroom above us. Couple that with the sound of hammering and drilling from apartment workers renovating, you will get NO PEACE whatsoever. They reguarly turn off our hot water 3x a month. There was a gas leak on the north side of the complex that they chose to ignore (despite several tenants mentioning it), until the fire department was notified. If someone had flicked their cigarette butt out the window... it could have been a huge explosion. Management (Michelle) was instructed to tell people that it was exhaust from the laundry facility, which was a blatant lie.I told them repeatedly that there were several abandoned cars in the parking lot, and they gave me lip service. Our AC Broke 2x last summer, and we went with no AC for longer than a week! Our Hot water and electricty would get turned off at least 2x a month.Park at Allendale was bought by CW Incorporated. First they started delivering annoying notices on our door every other day about this and that, attempting to establish the relationship of control. Then these new managers called me at work to say that the residents cant have ANYTHING on our porch. Not even a broom. Now, we pay good money to live here and rent that space, and they are infringing on our original agreement. They spent some money repaving the asphalt and building a wall, which was well spent. Honestly it looks great. However they didnt plan very well, as the place is even MORE prone to flood on the South side due to the walls blocking in the water. On the North Side, my porch will flood every time it rains, and Ive had to construct a channel for the water to get out to the street. There was an older maintenance guy that was able to fix things and do the job right. He was fired during the transition, because they wanted to slash his pay in half. Our current maintanence manager, Bob, is not the sharpest tool in the shed hehe. Ive had to go to HomeDepot and fix things myself. My Rent has gone up/from 2009.. $870/mo for a 2 bed/bath to a proposed $1400/mo. And the unit now has cracks on the foundation and walls, bugs, and mold in the shower.WATCH OUT FOR THE CONTRACT TRAP. They require as 2 month noficiation of intent to vacate, and issue your renewed lease proposal exactly 2 months and 1 week before the end of lease date. SO YOU HAVE 1 WEEK TO MAKE A DECISION after they tell you how much they are going to raise the rent. Its an aggresive tactic. Dont expect them to be your friend.
Property is not well maintained, too many dogs and neighbors who fight for dogs and not friend to each other.
