We broke down with our truck and travel trailer on hwy 80 east between Auburn and Truckee. We barely made it to the Gold Run rest area. We called to see if we could get a mobile mechanic or a tow. We were put in touch with Robbie who came to our rescue. Not only did he get the needed distributor and correct tool for us but drove it personally out to us. He saved our day and our vacation. Robbie is a genuinally good man and was happy to help!

I literally do not have the words to describe how amazing these people are.  I was stranded on the side of the freeway in this town after business hours, coming back from my daughters cancer check up in Sac.  I was three hours from home with a teen and two cats, trying to figure out what went wrong with my truck and how to work out getting a hotel room that would allow two cats, finding a good mechanic in the area, getting Lyft rides between the two, etc.  This angel of a man Tim shows up, knows exactly what the problem is, first and foremost got us all safely back to the shop and off the side of the dangerous freeway, then was able to fix the issue hisself and get us back on the road in no time, avoiding hundreds of dollars in unnecessary expenses that I really could not have afforded, not to mention the stress!  It sounds simple enough, but again words cannot express the actual kindness, grace, and understanding this man and this company showed us.  The boss man was very generous with the bill and Tim even gave my kid an above and beyond birthday gift.  The whole thing brought me to tears, and Im no cry baby.  This company and these people restore my faith in humanity.   They are good people, good at their job, and absolutely there for their customers.  I cannot recommend highly enough.Side note to the lady who left a one star review because they legally couldnt oblige her high maintenance demands - shame on you.

Have called many times, towed our car but wont let us get our personal belongings out.

Very helpful and nice after experiencing a horrible car accident. I was emotional and very sad about our accident and basically losing our family vehicle, but these guys were kind and made me feel at ease. I didnt feel like any of it was about money, but rather about making sure we were okay, not rushed and our needs were met.

Do yourself a favor and call these guys if you ever need help on the road. My semi trailer had a tire blow out and the rim was destroyed. Tim came out 26 miles each way and fixed it within 30 minutes at an incredibly low price. I couldn’t believe it. I can’t even express the amount of gratitude I have for these guys. Thank you so much.

Our car wouldnt start up in Emigrant Gap. It took a while for the driver to make it so far, but it was the closest tow place our insurance worked with. It was a Saturday afternoon and we were pretty upset because by the time we had a problem, everything had closed for the weekend and we were going to be stranded until at least Monday morning. The tow truck driver listened to the problem, popped the hood, and discovered that a wire connecting the battery was loose. He tightened the wire, jumped the battery, and sent us on our way. It was the best possible outcome. Were really grateful that he took a look under the hood rather than just towing it and making us wait for 2 days.

We had our car towed by them through our insurance after it got in an accident. We told both our insurance and the tow truck driver we wanted it towed to the repair shop, the driver insisted that they had to bring it to thier yard for the night and would deliver it to the repair shop in the morning. We called the shop looking for our car only to find out that it was never delivered and when I called mid-sierra they were waiting for my insurance to pay them again to deliver it. Then they refused to bring it to the right place after they did get payment for it, stating to my insurance truck was already in route and no changes could be made. so we had to call a second tow company to finish the job they should have done the night before. Very difficult company to work with.

T. Lewis, rescued us from i80. Very nice, quick, professional. Made our problems seem easier to deal with. Excellent employee you have. Highly recommend this company

I use these guys 4 or 5 times a year, they always do a great job for my company. From lifting a heavy safe into the back of one of my trucks to putting a 1939 caddy into a shipping container for a trip to Spain. Thank You

Shout out to Brogan at Gold Country Tow!!! ... and a Boo, Hiss to Mid Sierra! Our sons car broke down on his way to work New Years Eve. He was able to walk to work. I called our roadside assistance through USAA who set us up with Mid Sierra. I was in Utah for the holidays and my son was working crazy long days at Raleys and Carls Jr. Mid Sierra said that someone had to be with the car with the key when the tow truck driver showed up for liability reasons. I nicely begged if the driver could have the holiday spirit, go the extra mile for us, and please get the key from my son at Raleys and go over and tow his car. His car was walking distance from Raleys. Nope, no way, wouldnt do it. :( . So, we waited until today when we were back in town.We called USAA today to request a tow. This time, Brogan at Gold Country Tow got the call. We got a text that hed be there in an hour and a half. He ending up calling much earlier than that, ready to tow the car. We were eating at nearby restaurant. He offered to come by the restaurant, pick up the key, and tow the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It turned out that we were just about done eating so we met him at our sons car.Thank you Gold Country Tow, thank you Brogan. Im now on my way to let USAA and the roadside assist. company they contract with to let them know to send Auburn calls to Gold Country and to stay away from Mid Sierra.
