I tried to book an appointment with the salon multiple times because of the great reviews and competitive. I want to support small, local business during this time (pandemic). I called the salon during business hours, was sent to voicemail and I left a message; I never received a call back (their website says they are open and it appears that they are taking appointments). I then used their online appointment booking service and my appointment was sent to pending. I received an email the next morning saying my appointment was cancelled (with Michelle) with no explanation. I drop by a day later because I saw their signs saying OPEN and the lights were on. I knocked on the door - no response. I called the salon while standing outside and was once again sent to the answering machine. If this salon is not taking new clients, then they should just list it somewhere. I wasted my time trying to give them my business. Very disappointed and I consider this very unprofessional. Im an understanding person and just a simple not taking new clients and I would have understood.

I was disappointed with the scheduling, business practices and quality of service despite my initial excitement upon discovering this salon.My first appt was cancelled a few days prior upon request of the salon, due to an opportunity to promote themselves in the media. I was amenable, though I asked for a discount on the rescheduled service as I was flexing my plans and schedule for their benefit (though I felt this should have been offered and not something I should ask for).My next appt was scheduled short notice, the owner took my call as reservation on a Friday for a Sat morning appt. At 10am I arrived for my appt and had to wait 30 min (despite their advertised opening also being 10am). The stylist, surprised and unprepared, said she was not told of an appt, but offered to still do a cut and color. I attempted to not take my frustration out on her as I acknowledged the scheduling error was not her fault, but expressed my feelings and asked that the owner contact me when she was back after the weekend.I hesitated to review this salon, assuming I would hear from the owner and she would offer an apology and recompense for, now 2, relatively unsatisfactory experiences with scheduling, and also it would give me an opportunity to discuss my opinion of the below average cut and color, relative to my expectations of the salon. Unfortunately, no call came, until I posted “1-star” on google reviews. Only then, did the owner call to apologize (noting the review), explaining that they assumed I was happy since I left the salon not still actively angry.In general, I appreciated her effort to make things right (she offered to look at my hair and fix the cut and color personally), but unfortunately it came too late. The offer seemed intentioned only because of reputation and my poor review rather than out of an effort to ensure she was running a business that prides themselves on customer satisfaction. I should have never have to had to ask for a phone call, but I did, and still did not receive one.I’m happy to read about others positive experiences, but I had an average experience at best with their scheduling, their services, and their business efforts- with seemingly no attempt to maintain my satisfaction or keep me as a customer, until I posted an unsatisfactory review.

I made an appointment online, Michelle called to change it, no big deal. Confirmed my new appointment the day before, no problem. The morning of my appointment no Michelle. Got there at 9 for a 915 appointment, thought maybe because I was a little early. 930 still nobody, no call or text. Called the salon left a message, still no call back. Extremely unprofessional. Waste of my time, and gas.

Honestly, Madeli is such an amazing person inside and out not to mention she takes such good care of you as soon as you walk in the door.My Hair color/cut also a wax came out so good! I’ll definitely be coming back! She is so good at what she does, very talented and make you feel very comfortable with any questions you may have! I had such an amazing experience at Femme Chic Salon!! I went with a group of friends for the fish pedicure experience yesterday and left amazed, our group was treated with such respect and kindness, and made to completely feel at home! The ladies at Femme Chic took such good care of us, they couldnt have been nicer. Weve been hearing all about the fish pedicure and had to try it, the atmosphere was amazing, being in Albuquerque theres nothing at all like it, our minds were blown! The level of comfort and fun we had were incomparable, I cant say enough, all of us had such wonderful time, and cant wait to make another appointment to go back!

This salon is amazing! Every time I have gotten my hair cut or colored, I have walked away so happy! All the stylists there are so talented! The environment there is calming and relaxing. Great overall experience!!!

While this salon looks adorable and offers some cool things good luck getting an appointment or having them follow through with it. Im glad their business is doing well, but to blame software or your assistants for a double booked appointment the owner made weeks in advance after half a dozen phone calls and messages to only them tell your new client that they should have got a cancellation/reschedule text message when the client is standing in your lobby is the height of unprofessionalism. I was excited to use them for my wedding next year - now Ill never do business with them.

I moved back from school for the summer and was so nervous to go somewhere else for my lashes other than where I went before. Michelle is seriously amazing at lashes (and hair too from what Ive seen). Since lashes take a little bit of time, it is so nice that Michelle takes the time to make you feel important while youre on the lash table. She is extremely detail oriented and incredible. I would give ten stars if I could.

Every once in awhile I come across a business that sparkles; where the proprietor is so creative and vibrant that the atmosphere at their business address just radiates cheer that surpasses the normal business pattern of offering a service and then collecting a profit. Visiting Femme Chic Salon for hair and body care is a is an unusually fun and satisfying experience that may begin with a fish pedicure. Yes, while immersing your freshly scrubbed toes in a lovely warm secluded outdoor pool, you will enjoy the marvelous sensation of tiny Garrafallo fish nibbling away and removing old dead skin from between your toes and around your nails. It is a subtle, electrifying, and pleasureful experience. You must try this.

I highly recommend Femme Chic Salon in Albuquerques west side. I needed some color to cover the gray and a new style for a fresh, younger look. Led by Michelle, the staff is very skilled and they have created a great atmosphere to make going there an enjoyable experience.

This looks like a nice little place. I went for a haircut & make an appointment. So I meet with my stylist & she seems like a nice lady. She started to move me over to get my hair washed & it seemed like she was finished so I started to get up. She didnt really talk much . Then she started cutting, & I asked for a trim but she cut off 4 inches which took off length, which I didnt want. Then she started styling my hair with a really high heat with the blow dryer, which started to burn the top of my head. Im not so happy with what she did but it doesnt look bad.

Madeli did my hair for my wedding, she made me the most beautiful bride, I loved my hair!! Awesome place!!

I got a dry cut from Joni... and it is AMAZING!!! I absolutely LOVE IT!! This salon is cute, personable, and in an adorable neighborhood, right next to a coffee shop. I recommend this place, for sure. Make Joni your regular hairstylist before her schedule fills up!!! Shes a gem!

Michelle Halusco is a beautiful and talented young lady. My daughter and I went to see her several times. We both have gotten our hair cut and dyed and highlights. She does a fantastic job. I highly recommend Femme Chic Salon and ask for Michelle you wont be disappointed.

Went with my daughter for color correction. My daughter had gotten multiple colors in her hair, including an intense yellow-green that she hated as it faded. Michelle was able to give her some suggestions to help lift the green, and then did an amazing job coloring her hair. No more green!

I made an appointment, arrived early. Madeli was sweet and did what I asked - subtle balayage highlights and a trim. The color came out exactly as I described. It took about an hour longer than i expected.

1st experience;I called several times last week no one ever answered the phone so I booked online believing that I had a reservation. I called again on Tuesday finally getting an answer to find out that since they didnt confirm its not a valid reservation. Nowhere online did it state that I didnt have a reservation. This is poor customer service as well as poor communication. They informed me that this was my problem not theirs.2nd & last experience;I called today with an open mind to give this company another chance hoping all these miscommunications could be put in the past & forgotten. Not only did they call me a liar multiple times over the phone but they also chose to argue. At this point I was just mortified, I would never do or say that to any of my customers or anyone for that matter. I value my customers. Im not interested in arguing as that is petty & childish. I was honestly hoping to put this experience in the past but considering everything as well as the hostility & agression, Im done.3rd experience;The owner of Femme Chic Salon Michelle has now contacted me through Facebook messenger in an attempt to sway my negative reviews of her business, her customer service & her self. She is attempting to scare me into submission. Just a reminder that her actions are what brought these negative reviews on in the first place.

Had my hair done by madeli she was very friendly and asked about my concerns with my hair I loved the way it came out will be going back for my next haircut.
