Ive been going to Stans for years now. When I first moved here, I didnt know Akron too well, but I needed to find a reliable auto service shop. After a time, I thankfully found Stans. This place is honest, fairly priced, and employs a host of friendly people. I cannot stress enough how excellent their service is. They always do a fabulous job on my car and take the time to explain what theyre working on. They go above and beyond in their service. Far beyond what you would find in your typical auto shop and, like I said, Im beyond grateful theyre here.

I was referred to Stans Auto by a customer and mechanic from a muffler shop. My car was running hot and leaking antifreeze. I received excellent service at Stans Auto Service. They removed and replaced my radiator. My car is running very good now! The repair was reasonably priced and completed within one day. Erica, front office, was very nice and welcoming. She was also very knowledgeable about the service I received.I will definitely use their service again!

Big thank you to Stan’s for recent great service. Visited Stan’s for the first time recently. I’d started the car up one morning for work and was met with the clear odor of dead animals. Stan’s got me in quick, took apart the dash, removed a squirrels nest above the cabin air filter, and deoderized/ionized to get rid of the bacteria/smell. I needed the car for an upcoming trip and they got me in same day despite a busy schedule, charged me a very fair price, and gave me a ride up the street. Team was also very friendly / professional. 0 stars could n didnt want to fix my car and kept saying they didnt want to be liable for anything else happening to my car needed a body control module said there mechanics are good with. Electrical findings in car but chose not to even look at mines I waisted 50 in a tow for nothin 0 stars in my book I would give 0 if I could

Ive been here for 3 sets of new tires, plugged leaking tires, and general repairs. Every time Im amazed by the courteous and knowledgeable staff. They are honest and their prices are competitive. Cant recommend highly enough!

Could not be more happy with the service I received with them. They were reasonably priced and the customer service was one of the best expierience I have ever had at an auto shop. Erica even let me know what services were a priority and what was not. Not only will I continue to use them but Im going to send anyone I know needing work to them too. Very honest and professional. My mother broke down in the freeways coming from Cleveland and the tow driver came and recommended Stan’s since we are not from the area. My mom is older and she had no ideas what was wrong with her car. The staff was so honest and said they did not find any reason for the breakdown. They drive the car several times and then told her she could come and get it. I came with her expecting a storage fee or some type of fee but they charged nothing and they even fixed her window that would not roll up anymore for no cost. Very impressed and I highly recommend.

Since the day I walked into the shop, Erica has treated with so much respect, squeezed me into their schedule when I frantically needed my car fixed, they do their work quickly and efficiently, and I continue to go back time and time again. I had them install a 4inch Rough Country Suspension Lift and they did an amazing job. Fair pricing and they were quick for installing a lift. Erika is also very polite and professional

Had an alternator go out on my truck and after researching local mechanics I happened upon Stans. Im very glad I did. The customer service is superb and the front desk worker is professional and friendly. I got a great price for the work done with no added push sales that you get at other shops. I felt like I was being taken care of and I never felt like I was getting scammed, which seems to almost be commonplace now-a-days with mechanics.I highly recommend them. Had a broken valve stem on my tire that firestone and other garages quoted me $80-$90 to replace. I called Stans and they got me in the same day and the repair took under an hour to finish. Best part was it was only $20 to REPAIR the valve vs. replace it like I was told at other places of business. Very friendly and courteous staff and great pricing. They diagnosed another issue I inquired about and gave me a very reasonable quote to fix it and I will be back to get the repair done within the next few weeks! Probably hands down the best experience I’ve ever had at a mechanic. Thanks Guys!

I highly recommend this location. Erica was super friendly, kind, and patient. I was able to get my car looked at the day after I called, and they fixed it two days later after tracking down a difficult to find after market piece. I was shown what was wrong, explained my options, and given price quotes. I ended up paying less than what I was quoted as well. They made sure that it was fixed correctly and urged me to return if I had any further issue.I appreciate the kindness Erica and the guys showed me. I will be returning here when my next issue arises.

Stans combines personal service with excellent auto repair. The office staff is knowledgeable and courteous, prompt and pleasant.The boys in the shop know what they are doing and apparently love working on cars because they never seem to stop.Stans a pro and he runs a first class operation. He will tell you when a job is beyond his expertise or ability to get the job done in a timely manner. I cannot say that this has ever happened; but he says it happened once or twice in the last 20 plus years.

I thought some of the reviews had to be exaggerating about the place, but they weren’t at all - Erica and Chuck and the rest of the staff bent over backwards to get me in as quick as possible and to get me moving quickly. They got my tires on and got me to work (in Canton) by 8!I would definitely recommend to friends and family and will definitely use again in the future. What a fantastic first-time experience! Not only was I greeted and welcomed by Ericka with a smile as soon as I walked in, I was immediately taken care of with my flat tire. Stan’s is the “Cheers” of Auto Repairs in Akron and I will be back. Not only do they open at 7am, it’s right by my house, theres plenty of “regulars,” old timers chatting over coffee, and definitely a place that I can trust and return to in the future. My experience with Stans Automotive was amazing. I went in there because the battery on my car died and I had to get to work quickly (no prior appointment was made). The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly - I explained my situation to them and they helped me out a lot. The service was very quick and efficient, the waiting room is nice and clean. I would recommend this shop to everyone for any type of service.

Ive purchased multiple sets of tires from Stans and had them mounted and put back on the cars. Fast and inexpensive! Only had one tire go out afterwards and it was my kids fault, avoid potholes they make any tire explode if its deep enough and youre going fast enough. They replaced it at price and Im very happy! Can recommend these guys highly enough!

Decent place to get used tires if you are in a jam...this review is being made by a co-pilot that basically went along for the ride. The prices were not bad, although it changed 3 times while conversation was taking place...felt that was a bit sketchy, and the waiting area is not much to speak of, plus there is not really anything near by. Clarification on the price changing was not due to adding any extra services etc., but the guy that was talking literally upped the price 5 dollars each time he brought up mounting and balancing. The price was set during a phone call prior to arriving, but as he spoke and continuously said putting the tires on...the price kept going up.There is a fee for them to take your tires too, which when asked on the phone (call was on speakerphone so I was aware of all that had transpired), there would not be a charge for taking them, in which I thought was odd...but quite happy to hear.

Great service and pricing! Very accommodating to customer needs and schedules. Also, they have a resident cat in the tire shop who greets the customers. Any shop with a cat means theres good people there!

I have been taking my cars here for years. They pick me up and drop me off while servicing the vehicle. The prices have always been very reasonable. Recently, I dropped my car off to replace the rear brakes. While in the shop they checked the front brakes and found that the pads were still under warranty. They replaced the pads for free and I didnt even know there was a warranty. I would not hesitate to refer a friend to Stan.

Whatever they pay Erika, it isnt enough. The front desk knows as much about mechanics as the guy turning the bolts in the engine. My 70 Plymouth has been to six mechanics in two states. The place that got it to run like a cham again? Stans. They also got my 74 to run like a Lexus after an aborted mechanic issue. If you have an older car, there - literally - is nowhere else to go. They could charge twice what they do and Id still go,

I was told by countless coworkers that Stan’s was the only place to go and they were not kidding. I have had an awful vibration issue that I’ve tried endlessly to get fixed for months with only new problems popping up. Not today because Erika and Ryan (I believe!) really took the concerns I could vocalize seriously, zoned my problem, were beyond honest, fair, reassuring, etc. I was even shown a photo reference so I understood the source of my problem and I left a shop finally feeling safe.
